South west of Sri Lanka in the Indian Ocean, the Maldives is a republic, an independent island nation. It features around 1,2000 small islands and atolls, and this luxurious hotel sits atop one of them. The South Male Atoll, as noted, is a short boat ride from the airport and gazes out on nothing but the sparkling ocean waters and nearly cloudless skies.

The hotel features a small island and an array of bungalows built as an interconnected system of piers or land-based cottages and rooms. And though the location itself is enough for most vacationers, there are many services and amenities available. Five separate restaurants are available for guests to enjoy along with two separate bars. Whether you choose one of the garden, oceanfront or overwater accommodations, each will include free WiFi, a high end entertainment system with DVD player and IPTV, sound system, climate controls, minibar, hot beverage system, bottled water, luxury linens and premium toiletries, beach supplies that include slippers and towels, and spacious rooms decorated in the local style. Some of the villas feature private pools, as well.
