La Maison Hotel, a modern 3 stars hotel which has been recently renovated, is ideally located very near the entrance of the ancient city of Petra. The hotel offers good facilities and services, and has magnificent views of the surrounding mountains. We offer a selection of restaurants and bars to fulfill your appetite and indulge your senses: Sahteen Restaurant All Day Restaurant, AL Basha Lobby Lounge Bar, and Summer Roof Bar. Apart from the great location and the clean, comfortable rooms, and restaurant/bar facilities, the hotel offers 24-hour reception, and free public parking.
The hotel is ok. It is very close, 2 blocks from the Petra ruins door, so that makes ir specially appealing to the people who are backpacking and on foot. However, if you have rented a car you may consider stay somewhere else. The hotel includes breakfast but the quality of the food is so low that you might as well get your own anyways. Rooms are somewhat clean, but there's no comfort at all. In a few words, it is the hotel to stay for one night, in which you don't have many expectations of anything else than a single bed and a walking distance to the Petra ruins. If that's your goal, then stay there since it is very cheap.
Breakfast is bad.
Good location near the Mövenpick
Terrible breakfast - go 200m to the Mövenpick and have the buffet for 12 JD
Very close to Petra entrance, bright and clean with great views, very nice staff.
The restaurant food and free breakfast were virtually inedible. Inexcusably bad. The desk staff, while friendly, was not in full command of common English, which one would expect in such a world class tourist draw, and they lacked information about the admittedly spotty transport services to Amman.
inexpensive hotel very close to the gates of Petra with a good mattress and hot water after hiking all day at Petra
understaffed and paper thin doors
Hotel is very close to Petra entrance. Free wifi. Staff tried to be helpful.
Small Rooms and beds. General comfort of the room was not great. However, I cannot agree with some of the very negative reviews I read: wifi is free and water is hot (at least until 9 pm, then gradually becomes colder). There are better hotels close by, for a little more money, but this one is acceptable for a couple of nights.
Convenient for the Petra Gate Entrance
Air Conditioning and Food were indifferent
Nice hotel for one or two nights to visit Petra. The entrance of Petra is in walking distance from the hotel.
the location is close to the entrance of the site, but that's all that's good about this hotel.
We had no hot water at all during the all stay (5 days) and they could not improve that, in fact it was difficult to get any water in the room sometimes. They claim that rooms have air conditioning but it is merely a fan. the beds were not always done ... all in all, a terrible experience, in a gotel which is only valuable for its location. These guys should not be in business for long.
not too many things
breakfast was awful
Close to petra heritage site and not a long walk
There was no airconditioning at all and petra was hot about 40'C.the shower was bad the room was clean and tv not working.but served its purpose.definitele a 1 star hotel by south african standards
