9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location is excellent, only a few hundred meters away from the main entrance from Petra site. The staff and the owner are very friendly and willing to help you with whatever you need.
Cons: The bed was a bit small, for a tall person a bed under 2 m long it is a bit small.
7.1 Good
Pros: The hotel is located just about 10 minutes by walk to the gate of Petra.
Cons: First of all I would like to say, that accommodation conditions are really good and here I cannot complain. We came to Esperanza Hotel around 10 AM just to leave the things and run immediately to see the Petra. Everything went perfectly fine: extremely friendly host who greeted us as if we had returned to our own home. He gave us a bunch of advices where to go and how to get there. After long walk through the whole Petra, we came back exhausted to the hotel. There was another guy waiting for us - named Mohammed (with a long hair). Firstly we've got the same impression, meaning: another friendly host. Wow! And then suddenly the atmosphere became very strange... as I was traveling with my work mate (male), we were asked by mentioned Mohammed who we are for each others because this is not an gay district....despite assurances, Mohamed looked at us very suspiciously, which made us very very uncomfortable and a little bit confused. What surprised us even more was the view of the open door to our room and a man in it, who was trying to "fix" something by our bed - it turned out that he was another hotel employee. We do not know why he entered our room, in which all our belongings, including passports, money, etc., were. After this situation, we felt so uncomfortable that basically the evening passed in a very strange atmosphere, despite previous admirations caused by the view of ancient Petra. As I said: the hotel itself is ok, but there is something strange about the employees. We have not experienced such situations in any other city in entire Jordan. From my perspective: you can find something better.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All was really good. Mr Mohammed was very nice and gave us good tips about our Petra visit. Breakfast was very good and very adjustable with time. They were very nice to serve the breakfast at 5:30 so we could leave in time for our early visit to Petra. The location is amazing, only a 5 min walk to Petra’s visitors centre. We would definitely come back and recommend this place :)
Cons: Nothing whatsoever.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Hotel rooms are beautiful, big and clean! The people working there are most welcoming and very generous; for our two nights in Wadi Musa this hotel was a great choice! We also had dinner at the hotel one night which is a must if you stay there! It is not more expensive than the touristy restaurants in town and the food was very delicious! I highly recommend this hotel, you will enjoy it a lot!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: All the staffs are very friendly and hospitable. Free nice coffee and tea and good breakfast. Very close to the entrance of Petra.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super close to the entrance of petra, staff is very helpful in getting around.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very friendly and it was extremely clean. conviniently located for Petra Excursions. Awesome typical Jordan breakfast included.
Cons: Need to improve ammenities. Hair dryer in teh room, electrical outlets and hangers in the closet.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very big room, host was very nice, gave us advice about Petra and prepared dinner for us for a very reasonable price, as we were too exhausted to go look for a restaurant outside. 10min walk from Petra ruins entrance. Breakfast was ready very early (around 6am or earlier) which allowed us to visit Petra early.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Mohammed was a really nice and helpful host and helped us to arrange everything we asked for. The hotel has a good location, 5 minute walk to the visitor Centre. Clean and spacious room. Very good dinner.

Pros:
7.9 Good
Pros: Great location
7.9 Good
Pros: Best location, great price , acceptable cleaningness , staff can be more cheerful . With the pool access is a great retreat after a long walk in petra, dun miss the museum nearby and a big bus stop near as well.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: We previously stayed at the Movenpick which is directly next to Petra Moon at 3 times the rate, so we moved to Petra Moon for 2 nights and found the view to be the best feature, followed by close access to Petra, just 1 block away from the entrance to the Visitor's Center. Air Conditioning was good and the room was nice and cool. Small fridge in the room, and Wi-Fi was good with good speed. Food prices are reasonable for being so close to a main tourist attraction which is of course Petra. Nice rooftop area for dinner has a great view of the area. I would stay again and would recommend it for the value compared to other hotels.
Cons: 1. No alcohol available 2. The only english language channels were BBC, CNN, and had to get them to reprogram the satellite box to get MBC 2, but they were willing to do that. 3. Shower curtain doesn't reach the top of the tub so floods the bathroom floor every time you take a shower.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, friendly staff, lovely swimming pool, very comfortable room and spacious
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very well located Nice room and facilities
Cons: Over priced breakfast
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect so close to the Petra centre and the room was clean and spacious with some lovely free snacks and juices. The staff were very friendly and professional and we enjoyed the rooftop mezze and view. Breakfast was superb and the pool sparkling clean.
Cons: This hotel did not provide any alcohol and this wasn’t made clear in the information about the hotel provided. And I personally see this as an unnecessary imposition of a particular interpretation of a political/religious decree and wouldn’t stay again for this reason.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Loved the baklava and the fruit as well as the free mini bar and being so close to the entrance to Petra and free parking.
Cons: The things in the mini bar was not cold
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The service was excellent ! Location, next to the entrance to Petra- Very good breakfast included in the price ! Beautiful room and nice swimming pool. There’s really nothing negative I can think of to say. We didn’t eat in the hotel. To get to wadi Musa town center you do need to hike up a pretty tough hill or go by car ( taxi)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Close by to the entrance to Petra. Roof top restaurant with a nice sunset view and very delicious food.
Cons: Leaving
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location next to Petra. Comfortable rooms. Excellent food and service. Rooftop pool perfect after hot day in Petra.
Cons: Expensive vs alternative hotels.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly, attentive service. My husband and I stayed in Jordan for five nights and with The Petra Moon for three nights after being recommended by family to stay there. They organised our taxis and tours for our whole five day trip around Jordan and couldn't help us enough with anything we needed, all the trips were faultless. I was over the moon with our stay :) !
Cons:

Pros: The hotel Is really nicely integrated with the landscape. Our room was very comfortable and beautiful, we had all we needed. We really loved the pool, a great way to end the day after exploring Petra! The views were amazing from every spot. The restaurant and the service were great, we had some delicious local food in the terrace in the evenings and lovely breakfasts in the morning. Everything exceeded expectations!
Cons: Nothing really!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff was really kind and accommodating! The dinner in the buffet perfect and the breakfast good enough! A lot of facilities inside the room. Only nine minutes from Petra by car.
Cons: The bathroom is a little bit outdated, not modern enough for an almost new 5 stars hotel. Also, through the window of our room (No 204) one could see only a stone wall. The pool is too small!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Amazing view from the restaurant. Attentive staff. Value for money very okay
9.6 Excellent
Pros: incredible resort, including swimming pools, restaurants... perfect after a hard day in petra
Cons: nothing to do outside the hotel
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location , service and cleanliness , besides the royal suite we got was great experience for the family !
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We loved the hotel, the rooms, the swimming pool and the food.
Cons: I did think, that with all the accomodations we've had, this was very expensive. The question above the price and expectations is difficult to answer, because the hotel was very nice. But i think it was to expensive.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was just perfect . Amazing location, beautiful swimming pool , nice staff , good location and very nice food ( buffet and Jordan food not to be missed)!
7.9 Good
Pros: The room was really amazing, with vintage look, and amazing architecture .
Cons: Food. It should be more choices for breakfast, and continuously exchanging cold dishes with new ones.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very beautiful hotel complex which presents itself typical for the country and modern. The room was spacious and clean and invited to stay. Also the pool and the Jakuzzi contributed to the recovery. The big choice at breakfast was the right start for the visit of Petra.
Cons: The bathroom could have been more modern. The shower with shower curtain in the bathtub did not correspond to the other standard of the room and the hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were absolutely incredible - they went beyond the extra mile to make us comfortable and even gave us the best room in the hotel because we were celebrating our honeymoon.
Cons: Nothing - we loved our stay.
Bedayah Bed And Breakfast - Wadi Musa - Bedroom

9.7 Excellent (25 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The porperty is near the main entrance to Petra city, yet it is quiet and calm at night time. The owner is so helpful: he with his brother cooked us the dinner (what was one of the most delicious during our visit in Jordan!), provided as jeep to the Monastery entrance in the morning, even organizes us the shisha the same night. Very pleasant stay at his home, wide and well equiped rooms.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, friendly host, provided shisha, gave information about location and advice on destinations.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing hospitality and great location.
Cons: Nothing in particular.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Well, i was with my family and they were a little bit inconvenient as we wanted to really experience a day like never as we had our kids birthday, we arrived before the sunset to the property and met the man of the day ( BELAL ) then once we got inside all of our fears just went away and turned to surprisingly breathtaking... very spacious home were most of the furniture were handmade in a very authentic way...two showrooms were more than enough for 5 people, as the heating system was fine too... talking about the dinner belal offered us a live cooking class ( session ) at the kitchen where all the family participated while he also arranged to deliver the birthday cake as well, to be honest my family and i loved the vibes of this place and had a really unforgettable experience l, as for the breakfast we were too lazy to wake up so we asked for a breakfast box which was a good option.. unfortunately we were not able to say longer in Petra city... overall i would definitely recommend this place.. its cozy, clean and has the party vibes...
Cons: It's better to have a car, it's bit away from the city centre ut has a nice view above the mountains
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice breakfast and wonderful view, they also prepared a wonderful diner. Best we had in Jordan during our holiday
Cons: All was perfect
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The apartment space by far exceeded our expectations and the children were blown away by it. The location on the mountain was breathtaking, especially when the sun began to set and you had the sweeping views of the mountains and the town below. The lounge/diner had plenty of space to relax in and to eat if you wanted a family meal. The three bedrooms had excellent space, wonderfully designed rustic furniture and extremely comfy beds. The kitchen was well equipped for any cooking needs and the bathrooms were clean and well designed. We would happily stay here again and we were warmly welcomed to the property when we were handed our keys for the stay.
Cons: The non-smoking apartment was extremely smoky. Upon entering you were hit by smoke and the furniture and bedclothes all smelt of smoke which our children didn’t like. The internet was very weak although you might expect that and should be understanding with the apartments location. There wasn’t any breakfast, as advertised for our booking, included in our stay but we left early so it didn’t bother us. The neighbours above were extremely noisy, partly due to Ramadan celebrations, but every time they moved chairs upstairs you could hear it clearly below.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely loved this place. Belal was an amazing host with a great sense of humour. The mountain views from the apartment are surely the best in Petra- especially at sunset!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place, much better than expected. Wonderful hosts, kind, welcoming and helpful. They prepared for us a great traditional dinner and breakfast. A must in Petra. Stay here without hesitation.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is one of the best places ever! The reality surpassed my expectations! The apartment is sparkling clean, the host is most kind and helpful, he even borrowed us mobile internet so we could use it while being in Petra, the view of the city and the mountains is stunning, the facilities simply perfect. Also, you have a fully equipped kitchen, so if you're low on cash or just want to drink tea in the evening, you can use the kitchen as if you were home. I don't think I've ever found a better place to stay in the whole history of my travels.
Cons: There is nothing, literally NOTHING that needs adjustments. This place is perfect!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view was exceptional.
Cons: The fridge was not working at the time we arrived there.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great and helpful host Gail, everything was nice and clean, excellent breakfast, friendly dog, very nice environment overall.
Cons: slight hassle with the house being not in tourist part of town - needing to take taxi (3-4JOD per trip) between the house and town/Petra-entrance. But it turned out to be no big deal.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful host, quiet location overlooking Wadi Musa, pleasant atmosphere.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner of the property was very kind and helped us with everything. The breakfast was great as well!
5.8 Okay
Pros: As described in the many positive comments, Gail is a great host. She is also a great cook, and we had a great dinner that we could only confirm lately. Breakfast is also as described, meaning very nice.
Cons: For me a B&B is great if the bed and the breakfast is great. The main issue I had was the bed of the room we got. We were staying in a large enough room, but not called the big room in this B&B of 2 rooms. Looking at the pictures, you can see a bed with a metallic structure, that is the one. When going to bed, I was wondering why on one side, the mattras was that hard, but apparently without any support of a bedspring. I looked at the problem and understood directly why the confort was that non-exisiting (see picture). Having a wooden board on a light metallic structure is what is is. As a result, the night was awful and I wake up with a broken back. For the sake of honesty, I'm quite tall and heavy, but for owners having that many years in hotel management, I do not understand why this is that weak on equipment for a B&B that they run as a business. On top of this, the house in non very well isolated form a noice point of view. I know this is a B&B and not a hotel room, but when the husband comes back at night, should I hear him busy in the kitchen ? Talking about the husband, either we did not understand his sense of humor, either he was just rude because the ramadan or whatever, but happily enough, it is Gail that runs the place. Location is a bit isolated but not an issue for us as we had a car.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It feels like home
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Extremely friendly owner. She is from UK so very easy to comunicate. Very clean and quiet house. Car parking near building. Very lovely dog inside. Will come here again if will visit Jordan in future. Great place to stay if you visit Petra.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Our host was great. The room/house was very comfortable and had a lovely porch area outside. She prepared us a great packed breakfast which we took with use for an early start to Petra.
Cons: No negatives - though it was more expensive than most other places we stayed in Jordan.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Gail and Ibrahim were amazing hosts and even though Gail had to leave she made sure that all arrangements were done and on time. The room was super clean and the bed comfortable. To be honest I could not find anything at fault with the stay. The bathroom was clean and tidy. We were even able to wash our clothes here and get going. I would highly recommend people staying here if you do get a chance. It was a very homely stay and would definitely stay here again if we do come back (or suggest our close friends and family) Their dog was our added bonus and I guess she only made our stay better. Whenever we were just chilling out we had Bessie for comfort.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great service. Gail waited for me to arrive as I was on a late flight in. She also made me a packed breakfast to eat as I went to Petra 5*
Cons: n/a
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts are very friendly and made us feel very welcome. If you head out early in the morning to explore Petra, you will get a packed breakfast to take with you, otherwise Gail prepares a selection of local and European breakfast foods. The hosts' friendly dog was a lovely bonus.

Pros: Ahmad was an incredible host. He made our stay truly fantastic by driving us to the nearby sights and providing delicious local cuisine for us. Could not recommend this spot more highly!
Cons: It was particularly hot whilst we were there (as expected)...air conditioning in the bedroom would have been nice.
7.5 Good
Pros: Great dinner and breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff performed way beyond what has been my experience at other places where I have stayed. They went beyond expectations to assist us in having a memorable trip, including tips and transportation and catering to our needs, even taking us to change money and providing transportation to a special dinner. The meals were excellent and planned totally around our schedule for that day. They provided box lunches for us to take to Petra, which was very helpful, since food is not readily available there. They even assisted us with our laundry!!!! The accommodations were absolutely lovely, extremely clean, tastefully decorated and the view from the terrace was fantastic. We were able to have dinner outside, overlooking the entire Wadi Musa area. Spectacular!!! Ahmed also solved a major problem regarding visiting other sites in Jordan that made it much easier for us and allowed us to take full advantage of our visit, including dining at a local restaurant in Amman, an opportunity we would never have had without him!
Cons: Truthfully, there was nothing more they could have done.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hospitality generosity kidness ... We had a wonderfull Time in petra, thank for our hosts !! The cook was delicious, beautifull view from the garden, they help us with any answer ... awesome hospitality again! Thank you for everything, please to meet them an other Time in Jordan or in France we hope!
Cons: Nothing
7.9 Good
Pros: Very good breakfast, big clean room and quiet location with a nice view .
Cons: One bathroom for all the guests.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The super friendly hosts, the quality of food (you cannot miss dinner, cooked on demand even with only a couple of hours notice), the view on the city from the garden (where we had dinner), the elephant in the room
Cons: Just one thing: it was extremely hot during the night
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent B&B stay located in stunning place having create views to Wadi Musa (Petra). The hosts were very friendly and talkative. We also had nice dinner in both nights - super good, but portions were very huge also. Also both afternoons, after full day hiking in Petra area, it was nice to sit in their cosy terrace and drink mint tea. If you decide to stay in this love B&B, please also have the dinner - quite reasonable pricing - but is actually very good and tasty.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a lovely time! Ahmad and Hanass have been very welcoming and very helpful to us regarding everything during our stay. Also, the breakfast is amazing and the lunchbox perfect for your Petra break! We’d stay here again
Cons: Nothing!!

Ammarin Bedouin Camp - Wadi Musa - Bedroom
8
8.8 Excellent (239 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Beidha, Ammarin Bedouin Camp is an eco-friendly camp that offers guests a traditional Bedouin experience. It arranges horse riding and hiking trips upon request. The rooms at Ammarin Bedouin Camp are decorated with simple furnishings and a shared bathroom. It is fitted with mattresses, pillows and blankets. The restaurant serves a traditional breakfast buffet every morning. Packed lunch is available for guests that are trekking or are in the camel caravan. This camp is 1.4 km away from Little Petra archaeological site and a shuttle service to the Petra is available upon request. Queen Alia International Airport is 94 km from the property.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely personnel and great location - secluded and charming, but near enough to Petra. Accommodation is simple but clean and useful - washrooms especially clean and good. Food is delicious and so are hosts.
Cons: Given the heat, a mosquito net over the door of the cabins would have been useful, as when you shut the door its almost impossible to breathe as there's very little air circulation.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very nice tribe running it, it is clear that here Beduine tradition is more important than commerce. Evening ceremony impressive.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location is in an absolutely stunning setting. My tent was like "glamping", it was covered in Bedouin tapestries on the walls and beds. The bed was comfortable, and the blanket for the night, stuffed with camel hairs, felt like a weighted anxiety blanket! I slept like a rock! The toilet facilities are clean. The staff of the camp from the Ammarin Bedouin tribe, are helpful and work hard to make your stay unforgettable. In the evening, after a tasty buffet of traditional foods, the chief will explain the coffee making process and perform and explain some of the rituals they have in their tribe. By the third night, I had heard it already so I chose to write in my journal and reflect on the amazing Petra in their gorgeous sitting area under the rocks. It was a great experience. I definitely recommend more than one day in Petra -- too much to not take the time to see it all! I will never forget camping with the Bedouins!
Cons: When they turn off the electricity, so that you can see the stars, it can make the toilets difficult to use. Bringing a flash light is a good idea! There was no wifi which for me was great to unplug, but some may not like that. You can use the free wifi at the Petra Visitors Center.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Tout!! All! Hospitality, place, food, people.. we are in honeymoon and the staff has been full of attention :) I hardly recommend !!
Cons: Rien!! Tout était parfait! Nothing! Everything was perfect!!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely place in the middle of nature and rocks. I and my friend stayed one night here. First we were warmly welcomed by a cup of tea made on charcol then marcelo helped us by providing useful info about the area. In the evening after a lovely dinner in the big tent, we gathered around the fireplace and Hussain the manager of the camp showed us how they make bduian coffe and offered a cup to every one then music and song was performed and then sleeping in dark.... breakfast was lovely
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff at Ammarin Bedouin Camp were so hospitable and kind. It was such a unique and wonderful experience. I would recommend this to everybody. The food was amazing and I loved the tea!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Just amazing! The adventure starts from finding the camp itself as you have the chance to sleep in the archaeological site of Little Petra ! And the surrondigs around are just breath-taking. When you arrive you see the Bedouin who waits for you near the fire with the cup of tea. You feel welcomed as in the family. Total disconnection from the outside world. You just feel good in the middle of rocks and under the sky. You listen to the funny stories of Bedouin's life. People who care a lot about their camp offer you the best stay that you can imagine. Thank you for your work and kindness ! The camp proposes the good food. There are real beds in the tents , so sleeping is comfortable. The bath accommodation and toilets are in good state. Totally recommended for the real experience
Cons: No wi-fi.. but you are not coming to the Bedouin camp for that ..
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location for this simple but well run, comfortable bedouin camp was spectacular. A huge quiet ampitheatre of rocks close to Little Petra but far from the tourist trail to feel completely isolated. There was a glorious seating area in a big rock cleft that is in the shade all day. The owner of the camp was wonderful. A bedouin who loves to extol bedouin traditions and introduce his visitors to this. We were only 6 on the night we stayed here and the treat of sitting round a campfire under the stars with a full moon, brewing bedouin style coffee and discussing bedouin life felt like such a privilege. The little museum had wonderful black and white photos of our hosts family. Highly recommended, as is the walk into Petra via the monastery trail.
Cons: Nothing. Whilst basic, the camp is very comfortable and was exactly as we expected for the price range ( actually better - the whole experience was wonderful).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The mixture between the nice beduins and Marcella a woman from Italy makes this place a perfekt and authentic location away from busy Petra and still close enough for the tourist attractions!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: This place offers you some special moments only for yourself. Landscape is amazing, people are very friendly, it makes you feel part of a fairy-tale.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The manger was very nice !
Cons: Nothing
6.7 Good
Pros: Steam and sauna
Cons: Ac was making noise throughout our stay, reception was trying to sound bit generous and give us things for complimentary for the things which were already included in my booking. Faucet needs to be added in the washrooms.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Amazing place! Recommend it for hikers who like the comfort as well as for viewers. Located on the cliff, with a swimming pool idealy to cool down after visiting Petra, very good restaurant serving local food together with tasty breakfast. Additional plus for a beduine tent where You can have traditional food, Jordanian wine and tea - consuming while listening to local music.
Cons: Sunset could had last longer :-)
7.1 Good
Pros: The food at supper, although a bit limited, was delicious.
Cons: Very tired in need of an update. Breakfast was not of a standard I would expect from a Marriott. Could be a great little hotel but needs some money spent updating it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view was simply breathtaking, even in the room!!! Rooms were comfy and clean! Great shower. The staff was the most hospitable and friendly we had in our entire trip. The food was yummy and we were surprised with the reasonable pricing.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very good breakfast with sufficient variety. Comfort rooms with good toiletry. Clean towels in good condition, daily changed even if you want to keep them. Superb bar with very tasty food and balcony with a great view. Excellent stuff very polite. Security control makes you fill safe.
Cons: Buffet dinner restaurant was not working each day, offered to eat in Bedouin tent instead. Windows in the room a little bit dirty. For 5* hotel, they should prepare bathrobe and sleepers not allowing that you have to ask for it. Towels in the pool area a little bit worn out.

7.9 Good
Pros: Excellent dinner buffet for $14 USD(10 Dinar); however, included breakfast was mediocre. Great staff. Out of the way, so $7USD(5 Dinar) for each trip to and from camp.
Cons: Breakfast--it seems every Jordanian hotel/hostel serves up only hard boiled eggs.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice position in the desert near Little Petra, few kilometres from Petra. The camp is located at the foot of round-shaped rocky hills, nicely illuminated in the night thanks to hundreds of lights. Althoug the bathroom is shared like in a camping, all was clean and fully equipped. Kind staff.
Cons: Nothing to mention.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: This is such a cool place to stay and you really need to stay here for the unique experience. Our twin bed tent was actually quite clean and the bedding was comfortable and clean. Dinner was delicious!!!! And breakfast was the standard for Jordan. Spending the evening under the stars with the fairly lights around the camp was just amazing. You get served sweet tea and can purchase shisha for 10 JD. We only stayed here 1 night and we wouldn't really recommend staying longer as there is not airconditioning and the tents get very hot as soon as the sun rises (but are cool and comfortable during the night) but you really should stay for the 1 night because it is a really memorable experience. The camp is a perfect location to get a 4x4 to the back entrance of Petra where you can do a 45 minute (moderate difficulty but beautiful) hike to the Monastery. The camp drove us to the back entrance for 25 JD (we already had our tickets so able to go straight form the camp to the back entrance).
Cons: We and a couple others too had trouble accessing the wifi and were not able to use it.
6.7 Good
Pros: Close to Little Petra. Stuff was helpfull and kind. Very nice and chill atmosphere at evnings with tea and bonfire. Food is good as well. All in all, recomended if you are not going to stay when its very high tempetarure outside.
Cons: Almost imposible to breathe during the night inside the tent. Tents had only one small window, and if you want to have closed door, it will be way to warm and oksygen level will get too low after only couple og minutes. This was the case in summer, probably you want have this kind of issue during other seasons.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The ambience. Sitting around the fire. Food and free flowing tea.
Cons: Don't think it would have been comfortable if we stayed longer than a day. It is a camp afterall.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very kind and the overall atmosphere in the camp was really nice. You can easily walk to Little Petra from the camp, which makes the location perfect. Would definitely recommend!!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We LOVED our stay here. The staff are so incredibly hard-working and welcoming. They go out of your way to ensure you have the best experience possible. Special shout-out to Brooke who was unbelievably helpful. We truly felt like VIP's and got a level of personal service and treatment that I don't think you would get at most places/hotels. If you go and are well-informed and have realistic expectations, you will love it. The electricity and wifi are only available in the evenings and mornings but the wifi is excellent when it is on and you do not spend much time during the day at the camp anyway so there is no need for the wifi or electricity to be on then anyway. The restaurant food is so delicious and very affordable. My husband and I are vegetarians and found plenty to eat every night and morning (breakfast was included in our price, dinner was 10JD). The location is perfect. You can walk to Little Petra easily and it is a very short drive to Petra (the camp will arrange transportation for you whenever you want at very reasonable pricing). The common area was so lovely and the whole communal vibe of the camp was great. We were served endless refills of tea ("bedouin whisky!"), treated to bonfires and music, etc. The tents are comfortable and just the right amount of space. Yes they are extremely hot during the day but as mentioned, you are not there during the day usually and if you are, there are so many comfy lounge spots in the shade that you will be fine and comfortable. The tents cool down by about 7-8pm and they do not get hot until 8:30am (at the time of year we were there anyway which is August). The bathroom facilities were clean and worked well. Staff provided towels for the showers. We were here for 2 nights and it was fantastic!
Cons: Honestly we loved our stay, we just have two minor suggestions/tips for improvement. The tents do not have locks on them, but if they did it would help the general feeling of security. We did not know what to do with our passports. The women's bathrooms also do not have much in the way of shelving or hooks. If there were some more of these near the sinks especially it would be helpful while getting ready in the morning (i.e. place to put down your toiletry bags, hair brush, etc).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Best experience EVER! Thnx A LOT guys ;)
Cons: Nothing :D
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Don't miss this place. It's magic. surrounded by the rock of Little Petra, lights make you feel like in a fairy tale. forget about all your troubles. relax and enjoy the place.
Cons: Sounds strange, but we couldn't take a shower in the evening because the water was too hot! ( i guess for the solar system). We waited until the morning ;)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location was great - close to Little Petra and only 15 minutes drive from Petra. The outside seating area around the firepit was a great place to sit and watch the stars. Despite being very hot during the day, the tents cooled down at night and we even needed the blankets to stay warm!
Cons: There is no filtered water dispenser so you have to buy bottled water - expensive and bad for the environment given the plastic waste.

Pros: The hotel is like a little village. Perfectly blending in with the surroundings. Very relaxing hammam (thank you Susan!!), ideal after a day at Petra! The food was excellent! It is a 5star hotel of the desert!
Cons: It was a little far from Petra and the taxi overcharged to get us there. But the location is worth it.
7.1 Good
Pros: - Pool was very nice, despite the tiling. Great sunbeds and parasols. - Rooms were spacious and nice - Good airconditioning in room
Cons: - Staff not very welcoming - Wifi needed to be restored by staff every day - Breakfast mainly aimed at locals. Not continental - Tiling in the pool

Pros: Everything
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful stone arched design to the large spacious rooms. Seemed in a traditional design (but I wouldn’t know to be honest). Grounds were really nice too Very friendly staff, restaurant in particular was very helpful + the food was good. We ordered al la cart as we had a late lunch, but the buffet looked great -20 min drive to Petra
Cons: No alcohol served in the restaurant! Be warned and bring some with you
9.2 Excellent
Pros: A first-class facility that combines old-world charm with modern amenities, good food and friendly staff. I would love to come again sometime and recommend other travellers to stay two nights at a minimum.
Cons: A bit far from Petra.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: A large, beautiful, and uniquely designed hotel. The room was great, and we enjoyed wandering around the premises. The check-in was quick and smooth, and staff were very welcoming.
Cons: The dinner buffet was good with a variety of food, but was quite expensive especially when compared to the room rate which was reasonable.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything

9.2 Excellent
Pros: the real old houses amazing experience the singer in the restaurant the friendly staff at the hotel and restaurant the proffessional attentive reception guy
Cons: if the pool water could be heated please
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The actual place is amazing with great character, it feels like you are in a village. Beautiful spacious rooms, traditionally designed, very comfortable. Food choice amazing at the onsite restaurant , both at breakfast and dinner time. Thoughtful staff. Booked the Hamam experience, I thought to be quite relaxing and worth the money. Would stay here again if given the chance.
Cons: The location is quite far from the actual Petra site, you need a 10-15 min taxi ride which doesnt come cheap.

Cons: Food might be fresher
7.5 Good
Pros: Check in fairly rapid and no stress for payment. Excellent wi-fi and stone throw from entrance to Petra. Hotel able to reserve seats on bus to Petra or Aqaba. Our departure was at 6am hence the hotel proposed a breakfast box. Cheap and good dinner buffet available at 10JD.
Cons: TV not working and room too small for 3 persons.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location! the hotel is really close to the entry gate of Petra (10 minutes walk). The hotel is new, and also really clean. The staff was helpful and nice (well...almost everyone...) Breakfast is not as great as the position of the hotel, but it's ok.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was excellent!!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location to visit Petra, 5minutes walking to the visitor center, good price for the quality: I would reccomend this hotel for Petra (and if you sleep in Wadi Musa, is because you want to see Petra). Very good breakfast, rich buffet and freshmade pancake e omelettes. The hotel seems renewed, nice room and common areas; comfortable bed, good shower, working aircon, clean. Staff is very nice and kind, you can get information and help with reservations around. They provided us a packed breakfast for the day we visited Petra early in the morning. Nice bar and a market right in the entrance. You can also have dinner for 10JD, nothing special, but something you might appreciate after a long day in Petra.
Cons: No real complain here, just a few little things. Dinner buffet: you can get way better for the same price or less in town, but you will appreciate not to have to go out if you're tired after a day in Petra. We really appreciated the packed breakfast, but it was very unconfortable to carry, maybe it would fit better some kind of bag. Breakfast staff seem to be in a hurry to take away dishes from you the moment you put the fork down. Construction area around.

Pros: The location was great, you cannot be closer to the entrance of Petra. Our room was very clean and contained everything we needed. When arriving we even got a small welcome drink which was a nice gesture. Breakfast was good.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: - The location is just perfect. There is no better location in Petra. - The breakfast is amazing. - The staff is super friendly.
Cons: - There was no clear communication about the restaurant opening hours
7.9 Good
Pros: breakfast time the omelet making person was a moody and gloomy and was keeping a unhappy face.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: reception staff were exceptionally helpful - they made fantastic recommendations that meant our visit to Petra was even better that it would have otherwise been, then lent us maps and gave great advice. We took a taxi and went into the complex by the Monastery which meant climbing down the 900 steps rather than climbing up - and in the heat that made a massive difference. They were generous with the bottled cold water. Great bar outside and evening meal was a BBQ which was very tasty, Great breakfast with amazing omelette chef. Hotel is right next to the entrance to Petra!
Cons: there was nothing we didn't like
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Clean and convenient location, nice staff

Cons: The visitors center was unable to accept credit cards day of our visit. At 50 JOD per person, its a bit challenging for come up with 350 JOD in cash. ATMs have limit of 250 JOD.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: You just cannot beat the location. Right outside the hotel, there is the entrance to the Petra visitor center. The roof terrace restaurant was awesome: the view is super (reserve to experience the sunset there), and the food was simple (Arab grill) but very good. The rooms were quite OK, and the central lounge is just as nice as on the photos.
Cons: The breakfast and dinner food in the main restaurant was OK, but probably not 5-star level.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel's location near Petra's entrance is perfect. There are also several restaurants within walking distance of the hotel that allow you to enjoy the region better. Breakfast was superb, with a varied buffet of excellent quality and several live cooking stations. The interior decoration of the hotel is very beautiful. It was always easy to contact the hotel directly and get almost immediate feedback, which pleased us greatly.
Cons: The extra hotel bed was uncomfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The position is the best in Petra, in front of the gate. Breakfast was amazing
Cons: Everything was good
7.9 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Housekeeping knocking on my door at 8am
4.6 Okay
Pros: The location is good because it is across the street from the entrance to the park
Cons: Staff was a little unfriendly They cut the water for 2 hours The hotel is dated and the bathroom didn't feel super clean Too expensive for what you get
7.9 Good
Pros: Location!!! Super close to Petra. Easy walking distance.
Cons: Bathroom floor gets flooded with water after showering. I booked a king-sized bed and got asked if two separate beds was ok for me and husband. Note: the hotel did eventually give us a king-sized bed.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It is a great location, just across the road from the entrance to Petra. The lounge area is a central atrium and very beautiful and grand. We ate under the stars on the rooftop, which was very special. The food was delicious. The staff were very attentive. We were able to go to Petra when it opened at 6.00 as they organised a packed breakfast for us.
7.5 Good
Pros: The location is excellent. It is right across the road from the entrance to Petra and the Petra Museum. There are a lot of eating options along the road towards the hotel. Staff are lovely and work hard to please. Breakfast spread is the standard Mövenpick spread Decent pool to cool down in.
Cons: The double beds are small (akin to a large single in other hotels) Parts of the hotel including the room are a little tired (though the hotel is going through refurbishment) Housekeeping - replenishment of essentials such as toilet paper is hit and miss No espresso - only Nescafe :(
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Extraordinary location. Wonderful rooftop restaurant. Incredibly attentive and helpful staff (Julie at the restaurant took a perfect photo of our group; the manager provided a complimentary cake for my anniversary). Rooms have complimentary mini bars. My Holstein were greeted with free Icecream. Perfection all around!
Cons: Nothing - everything about the property was absolutely perfect.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Fine, standard Jordanian breakfast. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Next to city center, 20 minutes to Petra entrance.
7.9 Good
Pros: We actually had to cancel the first night so we just stayed only for one night. We arrived early in the morning, during the breakfast time, so after we checked in we had to run to the breakfast area, in orer to grab something. All the staff was very attentive at the restaurant and the breakfast buffet had a wide selection of Arrabic and Non Arabic goodies. The room was neat and clean as well. Wifi access was good and was provided complimentary. Check out was also smooth and the owner was also polite.
Cons: Before attending Petra by night, we wanted to grab some late lunch. It was actually served a la carte. However it not what we were expecting. We ordered chicken shawarma but the flavor was not what we have been used to eat in Middle East, so we actually had some leftovers, whcih we took with us. The morning we were leaving from the hotel, as we were checking out very early, we asked at the Front Desk to grab a breakfast box, however when we asked the Restaurant Manager, he got upset and angry so he just threw away in front of my face a bag in order to put some breakfast in. I truly did not like his attittude at this moment - as I found it a bit unprofessional!
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice beds. Good location. Anything you need can be arranged.
Cons: No fridge. No bath plug. Small tv
4.8 Okay
Cons: The staff said they don’t have menu for their Restaurnt. They charged us 7$ per cup of tea. I threaten them to call the tourist police then they dropped the price
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very good location. Friendly owner.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, nice hotel. The bed was absolutely huge. Good breakfast (available from very early hours too) , helpful owner (let us keep bags for whole day, ordered us a bus for the morning). Totally recommend
Cons: The internet was super weak though and was working only in reception.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel, the stuff was frendly, good breakfast and nice dinner in the evening. Just before odering you should find out all prices as some of them are very high.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast and time from 6to9, the pick up service, cleaning of the room and not noisy. Good bed and situation.
7.5 Good
Pros: Position, value for money, clean
Cons: Stuff

Pros: The manager there was very accommodating. It was a great place to stay. I would stay there again!
Cons: N/A
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice stuff! Khaldoun from the restaurant was every morning welcoming us for breakfast with an excellent and friendly attitude. Rooms are spacious and clean. We had a quadruple room which was a great deal. Perfect location too!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: +Clean rooms +very good breakfast (and you can eat as early as 6 if you want to leave early on) +Petra by night tickets on purchase at reception +staff at reception will offer valuable info about visiting the site (hours, location etc) +free wifi +rather quiet area
6.0 Good
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a good breakfast, several good restaurants were very close.
Cons: The rooms are right above the street and there was a lot of traffic noise.
6.0 Good
Pros: The best part of the hotel was the gregarious manager Mahmoud, who is very likable and tries his hardest for his guests. He can arrange anything that a guest needs, from transport to food. I only stayed for one night, but there were no problems, and the hotel is situated in a very good location in Wadi Musa.
Cons: Internet is not free, shower curtain in bathroom didn't do a good job of preventing the water from getting all over the floor. Also, the restaurant that Mahmoud 'recommended' was slightly overpriced and I felt like they were trying to rip me off.
7.0 Good
Pros: We arrived very late and had forgotten to phone ahead to confirm our late arrival. The owner had given our rooms away, but made a very big effort to help us get new rooms and then transfered us to Petra the next day, etc. Was very nice management
7.7 Good
Pros: The staff asked repeatedly how that may assistance us with any needs we may have. Lunch was packed for us which was major convenience as Petra is an all day trip. Would stay there again on a return trip. Location was absolutely the best one could ask for.
Cons: This is not an upscale hotel, but you are there to see the sights and meet people. It is a great place to do what you come there for.
5.3 Okay
Pros: Mahmoud the manager was a real character and would do anything to help.
Cons: Shower and bathroom very basic, not dirty but barely usable. Whole place has seen better days.

Pros: The hotel is very clean and the bedrooms are relatively big.
Cons: When we asked for an arrangement for a tour in petra by the hotel, the asked price was double from what we found at the petra site. Also the water in the shower was cold.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Many thanks for Mr. Tariq for his cooperation
Cons: Smoking is not allowed in all property
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel management The cushions on bed
Cons: No hand shower for toilet Telephone was stopped working No hot water in the bathroom
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a great stay at Petra Sella Hotel. The staff were accommodating from the minute we arrived. They gave us a free upgrade to a room with a wonderful view over Petra and they drove us up to see the sunset, which was amazing. Thank you very much for making our stay a memorable one.
7.1 Good
Pros: Clean rooms and friendly staff. Nice breakfast. Comfortable beds.
Cons: A bit of a walk from Petra main gates and no shuttle service to the gates . Booked city view room and was given a room facing the city but on the third floor which meant it looked right into a store front . Other than that, no issue.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: 1. The staff and service (Mohammed at the reception and Sandeep for room service) 2. The location (Sooo beautiful and accessible to city center) 3. The view (upon request a view of entire Petra from room was arranged)
Cons: Nothing to unlike but the property lacked any special facilities. However our intention to see Petra was fulfilled in every way.
6.3 Good
Pros: great location within walking distance (approx. 15 mins) to main gates of Petra. Also lots of local restaurants nearby offering cheap and local cuisine.
Cons: The Minute we arrived (tired after a 3 hour drive) we were being offered trips to Petra at a very high cost and what turned out to be within walking distance.. Most staff were friendly but our first encounter was disappointing. 150 to 250 JD for a trip to amenities close by was incredulous. Rated as a 4 start hotel but definitely not 4 stars..
6.3 Good
Pros: The staff at the reception. Friendly, welcoming, helpful and prompt to respond when asked for extra water for example.
Cons: The breakfast: no fresh fruits, dirty and breached glasses on shelves to use, no real fruit juices, no real jams, stale croissant and bread... The room, unable to enter the bathroom without turning to the side as the entrance is too narrow. The doors to the shower did not join properly, hence water could pass in between onto bathroom floor, toilet seat broken, dirty wash basin seals, dirty sink seals...I have taken pictures of all the above. Plastic cups for fruits juices, Plastic spoons and forks on the room... On arrival, I was asked if I wanted to pay now or on leaving. I answered very clearly "on leaving", so I could use another credit card. Yep, they had used the card on my account without asking me, the night before at around 19h40.
7.1 Good
Cons: Food has to be improved. Many flies around in dinner room.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly.. very helpful.. we had an amazing room for a great price and the buffet dinner was really good value for money! We had a great stay would definitely recommend!!!

9.6 Excellent
Pros: All things were as expected and the host communicates very well.
Cons: I was okay with this stay, but adding a shuttle to and from Petra by Night can be helpful.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff is incredibly friendly. Rooms are basic but if you’re there for Petra you won’t be spending much time in the room anyway. Highly recommend Cleopatra if you’re looking for a budget hotel close to Petra. The breakfast and packed lunches are a few JOD each but worth it for the convenience, especially if you want to get to Petra early.
Cons: No free WiFi— 2 JOD per person.

Pros: Mosleh and his staff were unbelievable. I've been at about 10 million hotels and this one stands out. Unbelievable hospitality, he's a genuine guy who likes to help you. Being so far away can be quite daunting for some people, especially if transport links aren't great. Nothing to worry about with him there. Everything is sorted. What a guy!
Cons: Having to leave!

Pros: The view from the window and balcony was amazing. The staff were friendly and made required bookings and arranged taxis and also the desert camp in Wadi Rum. But after reaching Wadi Rum, I got to know the Jeep tour was one of the basics which everybody does and there were more tour options to go to different unique places. I also didn't check much as it was a good deal which the hotel arranged which was fine. The breakfast and one of the nights dinner which I got to have there was out of this world (there was a kofta curry)
Cons: The location from centre of town was a bit far. Not many restaurant options nearby especially when they didn't prepare dinner on one of the nights.

Pros: Completely wonderful stay! The staff was very friendly and helpful, I felt they went above and beyond and make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. The bathrooms are small, yes, but that's really not a drawback to me. I can not wait to stay here again when I return to Jordan. Would highly recommend! (for reason this review shows me as being from Canda, but in case it's helpful to anyone, i'm from the states.)

Pros: Very friendly and helpful owner!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent view. Staff very helpful with questions and requests. Nice Breeze outside. Good internet.
Cons: If you don’t have a car it’s quite a walk up the hill from downtown going up about 100m or so. The view is spectacular though.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful. The views were amazing from the balconies. They also had a great common space upstairs if you were traveling with a group.
Cons: The bathroom, while private, was extremely small. The floors in the room and halls were carpeted and it made the rooms feel older and less clean.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were extremely helpful. The location was amazing and so close to visit Petra. And there was such beautiful views. Great value for money.
6.7 Good
Pros: The helpful staff, beautiful mountain views from the terrace, an inexpensive humus and falafel café next door. Shuttle service to Little Petra.
Cons: There is an additional charge for card payments of 5%, which was not mentioned. Poor breakfast. There is not much to walk around the hotel. Expensive service with jeep to little Petra, but worth the money if you don't want to go the same route twice
7.1 Good
Pros: Very helpful staff and wonderful views from balcony.
7.5 Good
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Location is convenient when visiting Petra or other sites nearby. Breakfast can be enjoyed on a balcony watching the sun rise over the ancient ruins of Petra.
Cons: Moldy bathroom, old and somewhat dirty rugs covering the whole floor in the room. Basic breakfast. Hotel is situated quite high up in the village so be careful when traveling with people who can’t climb steep streets every time when visiting the centre of town.
