Location excellent 10 minutes walk to town.
Breakfast was too expensive
the location was a little way out for my husband, but we coped. the evening meal was very nice and the staff very good.
some days the dining room was very warm.
A modern style hotel with good parking facilities reasonably close to town.
No real character- The dining room was furnished in a cheap and cheerful style with no attempt at elegance or style and certainly not reflecting the high price of bread and breakfast. Buffet style English breakfast was goo but there was effectively no other choice. No cold meats, cheese as an alternative. My wife do not like English cooked breakfasts. We only ate dinner in the hotel 'restaurant' on the first night of the five we stayed. One was enought. The menu is mundane and the same every night - more typical of a middle of the renage pub/diner than a proper hotel. Our the record of the service on the one night we did stay in the restaurant could have been written by John Cleese. This was NOT THE FAULT OF THE WAITING STAFF. It was a management fault - too few of them (A save money and annoy the customer excercise. A 'don't worry about them not many people come back here a second time' philosophy It took 115 minutes to serve us with soup followed by fish and chips. At breakfast we did not get served our tea and coffee until 09.20 together with a warning that the buffet closed at 09.30 - which it did spot on time.
The hotel contacted us before our stay to ask if there was any requirement we wanted to have. Plenty of parking, swimming pool good with towels supplied by hotel . The room was well equipped with a roomy en suite
Very central and close to where we were going. 10 minute walk to the beach. Staff very helpful. Room clean and tidy. Not a bad room at all. Lots of lights in ceiling and walls.
Hotel is a bit tired in places. Lots of different corridors and areas where rooms were. My room had 2 lots of windows which looked out onto 2 white walls . Hot drinks were supplied in the rooms but no decaf tea/coffee. The shower was very good but a bit outdated .
