The actual hotel was lovely, with very clean tidy rooms. We had a great view that looked straight across at the beach. The bar was nice and very warm.
The staff were always hard to find and we felt very unsure of what exactly to do when we first came in to the hotel, regards checking in and paying etc,. The bar pumps were not working properly so the although the poor staff member did everything in her power to give us our drinks and placate us at the time. The breakfast service was a bit unorganised although the restaurant was lovely, clean and smart.
Staff were nice and welcoming, room was a good size.
Drunk yorkshire lad banging the doors, shouting, swearing and getting violent because they were so drunk, this went on from about 2am til 4am, if I was a parent and my kids were with me it would of been very scary for them, I was so angry and I wasn't told that there were staff on site and you had a bell in the main hall way to ring. I hope its not always like it there
the owner didnt mind that we arrived after midnight due tu ferry and extra breakfast if you wanted it
food and location
bar staff were non existant car parking was terrible
The location was ideal.
It felt like stepping into a residential home. It felt and looked unclean, and smelt a little like a residential home. The whole hotel looked tired and the room was tiny for 2 people! The walls were so thin you could hear other peoples conversation, and I did not sleep well at all.
Overall the hotel was clean
Overall in need of renovation. Premises a bit run down.
Friendly and comfortable and in a good location.
The breakfast was excellent, more than enough food to keep you going for the whole day. Staff were very prompt in sorting out my tv.
I did not have a problem with the stairs, I think I counted 60, as I had a room at very top of hotel. Some guests may have a problem with this.
In the room wasnt hot water, TV was broken and in room was bad smell.
The sea view was worth every penny, and the staff were very friendly and made us feel at home.
