6.0 Good
Cons: To far from down town. No pool, outside patio closed.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Really loved the waterfront room. The view of the lake amazing. Loved the music on the patio at night. The suite was very comfortable and not full of the smelly artificial fragrances a lot of hotels use for cleaning and air freshener.
Cons: The staff almost got it right. They could be so good. I liked the girl at breakfast remembered me and specifics of what I liked such as water, no ice. She took my orders, brought it and disappeared. Same thing happened at lunch time. The wait staff were not available when we needed them. Dinner could have been amazing but we waited over an hour between salads and main course without even seeing our waitress. The food was good most of the time, dinner was ok, had chicken dumpling soup with no dumplings for instance. Lamb rack was tender but an off flavor. One night we had cheese plate at bar and it was meager compared to other nights, We have been to the restaurant in previous years and it was outstanding. Front desk people were inconsistent with information. Cleaning staff were excellent but three of them would gather in a room and talk and laugh. I love this place and I think it could be top notch with some good staff training. It would also be nice to be greeted with a bell man to take luggage upon arrival. As I said, we love this place and will be back. Probably will not utilize the restaurant as much as we did this trip.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel room is spacious with a comfortable bed which overlooks beautiful Lake Geneva's lake. The hotel's restaurant has excellent food with a large selection of delicious meals which is elegant & also overlooks the lake. The hotel and restaurant staff are professional. I will definitely return for future stays.

Pros: Clean and spacious room with a large mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker, newer finishes, free breakfast and wi-fi, ample parking, beverage stations in the lobby
Cons: Even if you have 3 adults in the double bed suite, they won't make the sofa bed for you. You have to make your own bed. Breakfast room gets so crowded you have to carry your food to your room. This was not just at the time we happened to go down but also when I passed by the room later that morning.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was exceptionally clean. Breakfast had a nice variety.

7.3 Good
Pros: Beautiful grounds! The outdoor pool/patio looked fabulous as well but we didn't get to enjoy it as thew weather was a little cool.
Cons: Rooms were a little worn, you can tell that they made an effort to update recently but if you looked closer you can tell that the remodels/cosmetic improvements were not done well and attention to detail was not there. There was not a whole lot of insulation between rooms as you could hear others in room next to you pretty clearly.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Large rooms with nice amenities. Clean. Large resort with mutliple dining options, nice lobby area to gather, especially with young families. Great facilities with an indoor pool, arcade, and skiing.
Cons: They did not seem prepared for the weekend rush. Our room, which was supposed to be ready by 4pm, was not ready until 5:30 and we had to be put in a different room. This seemed to be an issue with multiple guests. The next morning, the alarm went off at 5am, as housekeeping did not check the alarm to make sure it was off. For a short weekend stay, these things are dissappointing.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were nice, clean and the bedding very comfortable. Skiing was convenient and perfect for the beginner skier.
Cons: They were not prepared for the holiday check-in. Rooms were not ready till evening and it made it difficult for those with children. They offered "drinks" which were really not helpful when with a five year old. No attempt to give us a different level room, etc. Hallways and restaurants were not clean . The staff in the restaurants were very nice and accommodating but they were pricey for a family resort.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were very nice and the hotel was quiet. We ended up going to the water park so it was nice to come back to a hotel with more amenities than just fast food. The staff was extremely helpful.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The pool and grounds were very nice.
Cons: The fire pit in the embers lounge kept going out. We went for a couples massage but they don't have a sauna or hot tub that's coed afterwards for relaxing together. The signs that give directions around the property are sometimes confusing.
9.4 Excellent
Cons: The view of the lake
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Carpets should be cleaned more frequently - large dirt spots on carpet in our room. Also, time to install new carpets, as current carpets are starting to fade.
6.2 Good
Pros: Pleasant staff.
Cons: Multiple buildings and long trek to front desk. No ATT reception in room. Patio door broken. in room phone broken. Shower did not work!!
5.1 Okay
Pros: Grounds are beautiful
Cons: Rooms are old and carpets were stained and dirty. The room didn't smell fresh and clean.

The Ridge Hotel is close to some tourist attractions and offers guests the convenience of enjoying a variety of activities around Lake Geneva. The Geneva Lake Museum of History is 7 miles from the property while Grand Geneva is 14 miles away. The closest airport is the General Mitchell International Airport at a distance of 80 miles. The Ridge Hotel offers a lot by means of fine dining options. The Crafted Americana is a new introduction where guests can enjoy handcrafted specialties prepared to their tastes. Bean + Vine is a wine and coffee bar offering private label liquor beside a good brew of coffee. Barr 55 on the Veranda is an outdoor dining option where guests can relax with several cuisine choices on offer. Free WiFi is a mainstay of The Ridge Hotel, which also offers free bike service. There’s a seasonal swimming pool outdoors where guests can relax while a fitness center helps them stay in shape even on vacation. A shared lounge, a terrace, a garden, and an indoor pool are some of the other amenities the hotel has to offer. The Ridge Hotel is an ideal place for those in need of a quiet and relaxing vacation either on their own or with the family.
6.2 Good
Pros: Has a very nice lobby. Made you feel that this was a rather new luxury resort. However what you realize is that the rest of the property is old and tired. Rooms were clean and somewhat updated, but the same effort that was made in the lobby was not done elsewhere
Cons: staff not the most intelligent. But nice enough.

Pros: I liked the helpful girl at the desk checking in and out .I loved the spacious room and comfortable bed .I loved the dish washer and the fact that we could park at the resort all day even after checking out .The pool was fun too. It was a perfect mother daughter get-away!!!!!!
Cons: I can not think of anything that I did not like!!!!!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked that the pool and hot tub was open until 11 pm. The firplace in the unit did not work so I called the front desk and they sent a maintenance person was at our door in 10 mins.
Cons: We enjoyed our stay and didn't have any cons while our stay at the cove.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Fireplace and Kitchen
Cons: carpet was dated and stained due to the solid color spots showed up very easily could here foot steps from the room above
5.1 Okay
Pros: Good location, friendly staff.
Cons: The bathroom was not very clean..There were large amounts of long hairs (not mine or my spouse) all over the floor, bathtub and sink..We had to clean the tub ourselves before use because we felt VERY uncomfortable with how much hair was in it. Very unhappy overall..was definitely not work the price.
6.0 Good
Pros: room was big.
Cons: I arrived with my 85 yr old Mother in a wheel chair and there was no one ( even if I wanted to pay extra) to help us with our luggage. However, they did make sure they charged the "resort daily fee" right away. There was no parking for us- handicapped or my sister who had another room in the facility. They had to park across the street in public parking! There were many parties and events which made the hotel a bit manic and loud. We didn't have appropriate bedding for the pull out couch in the suites. No blankets, sheets or even pillows. I called ahead of time to make sure if I was going to pay $275 a night they had handicap access to their two pools. They said yes definitely. We waited at the indoor pool, at 8pm ( the pool closed at 9p) for 20 minutes to get someone there to get the handicap access working. The outdoor pool handicap access never worked! I called the concierge to get the phone number of our next hotel near the airport in Chicago to make sure we had a handicapped room. They never offered to make the call for me and actually gave me the wrong number! Consequently, I arrived late that evening at the wrong hotel. If you stay at a basic hotel one cannot expect much more than a clean room and maybe internet. Paying $275 a night for a resort, I expect much much more.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Loved the location, easy walk to restaurants/shops/beach. Zero-depth kids' pool was great. Resort was not overcrowded. Nice view from balcony over the pools. Having a full kitchen and separate sitting area was really great, particularly with small children who still nap. The room layout was very nice for a family.
Cons: Restaurant didn't offer breakfast, only on-site breakfast option was to buy a pastry from the coffee shop. Also, room was clean, but starting to show its age.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Great amount of space. Having two bathrooms is a huge plus when staying with kids. The kids loved sleeping in the loft! Location was perfect for beach. Pools were great. Having indoor and outdoor pools was wonderful as sometimes it was too cold outside. Washer/Dryer was added bonus especially with wet bathing suits. Having kitchen was great so we could have food and drinks on hand and could cook dinner in when needed.
Cons: The beds were not very comfortable. The front bed is too close to door. Everyone has to go to bed at same time as a single light or TV would keep others up. The elevator by our entrance door did not go up to our floor, so we had to carry our luggage up and down stairs.
6.8 Good
Pros: Our room was just ok. The decor was dark and outdated, not inviting. Nice kitchenette and view. The walls are so thin that it's hard to fall asleep with kids running up and down the hallways. I really don't understand that parents let their kids do it at midnight. Not very clean, just wiped down. Still lots of tooth paste spots on the cabinet in the bathroom. Will try other places next time. Almost forgot to mention that the front desk lady was super nice and very helpful.
Cons: Dark outdated decor Loud hallways (kids running up and down at late hours) Not very clean
9.7 Excellent
Pros: The shops, the location of the Cove, nice clean park behind it.
Cons: Paying to go to the Beech
8.5 Excellent
Pros: The location was great. Our room was a little dated, but very clean. We enjoyed having our own kitchen and the Jacuzzi tub. The pool and activities were awesome.
Cons: The drain in our tub was very slow. We did tell maintenance, but we saw no change.

7.7 Good
Pros: I liked how October was a good time to go without a lot of people and lines, but I was disappointed at the end of the stay when we accidentally turned in our room keys (so we thought) and I handed the lady our rechargable game cards instead that look VERY similar. Our game cards already had points on them from us spending $ and we were just about to trade them in before we left and I quickly realized I mixed them up and went back and the lady at the desk said sorry you're out of luck we threw the cards in a bin and I don't know which one were yours. No apology or anything. So, my kids were pretty bummed they could not get a prize and I was disappointed that we played all those games, racked in a lot of points and then lost out. I will be emailing the resort. Also, the lady at the desk and the guy in the game room said this happens all the time so, you'd think they'd fix it by now. On the other hand, I loved the Restaurant Brisaggo at the Geneva Resort right down the road. Delicious. Pricey, but worth it. The rooms were spacious and we got to hear all the screams coming from the haunted hayrides-looked pretty creepy! FYI anyone visiting Lake Geneva, they stop selling alcohol at 9pm. We stopped at a Walmart to pick something up and didn't realize this coming from Chicago that we were out of luck for the night. Overall, it was a nice trip. I might go back depending on the reply I get from the resort after I email them.
8.2 Excellent

Cons: Be prepared for longer than average wait time at restaurants. Food service and quality is average.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I like that every room has a kitchen and dining room, balcony, fireplace, as well as spacious bathrooms. Full size fridge to bring your own food. water park had enough to keep the kids busy. Great price.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My wife & I visited TRL&W so we could determine if this destination would be good for our tribe (children/spouses, grandchildren & us) to visit after Christmas in-lieu of buying presents for everyone. We all figured spending time together at a kid fun/friendly place would be really cool. Guess what? The place is great & we'll be planning our trip there.
