Excellent English, great history of the building.
Location, food, ambience A seperate guest house from the main building.
The food was excellent and well priced and the staff very freindly. The room had been decorated in bright colours but all the old furniture retained. This gave a cheaper feel to the room than the price would suggest.
Very kind staff Nice suurrounding, very close to Mosel River
The personnel was very friendly, the rooms nice and very clean. Very good dinner and breakfast.
very good hotel for a reasonable price
A delightful hotel. We received a warm and friendly welcome from the family owners. A complimentary glass of wine with our (excellent) first night's dinner led us to buy some of the Conrad's own wines, which I can recommend. There's not much to see in Brauneberg itself, but nearby Bernkastel-Kues has a lovely centre (Markt), a spectacular castle and several cafes and restaurants
Although we only stayed one night, whilst breaking our journey, the welcome at the hotel was fantastic. The room was spacious and extremely comfortable, and the evening meal was out of this world - the choice on the menu was excellent, together with the choice of local wines to accompany it. We wished that we were staying longer.
food good staff friendly booked a room with balcony with a view of the mosel , the hotel is on the wrong side of the road , there is no view of the river. The manager tried to get us to move on the last night so she could allocate the room to another guest by telling us there was a defect in the room.
Beautiful hotel with fantastic friendly staff. The room was large and overlooked the main street. All recently re-furbished and immaculate. A very romantic spot. The hotel restaurant was also great, we sat outside and were served drinks and dinner by the wonderful staff. Thank-you!
the breakfast No parking near the hotel, when we went to the 'hotel' nobody was there and we had to go to the hotel that works together with this hotel to get the key the number that is given for this hotel by booking com represents absolutely not the real value
Location is good. Room was very cold and had a smell of mop. Maybe because it is spring. No toiletries in the room. Halfboard was not worth the money paid. Had an impression it was constructed out of leftovers. Declaired lamb was in fact very pappery beef goulash. Wud not reccomend to take halfboard.Breakfast very poor too.Generally not worth the money paid.
beatifull place with a excellent restaurant. The staff was very friendly and caring. no
This hotel was outstanding, individual and authentic, an old mill, farmhouse and vineyard. Beautifully appointed. We arrived on our bikes on our ride from Trier to Koblenz along the Mosel. Very quiet and peaceful. The room was outstanding. Food was also first rate. One of the few hotels I would like to go back to
fantastic value and surprising location background noise from neighbouring Sawmill during the day
Very nice location, very very good food, excellent value for money, extremely helpful manager. Do not hesitate to spend time here, no matter what season. None !
The hotel staff greeted me with a smile and allowed me to park within the courtyard of the main building. They arranged for a taxi and had breakfast waiting for me when I woke up. The hotel is beautiful.
Very accommodating, efficient owners. Clean, nice setting next to the Mosel River. Food was delicious. Would recommend to anyone. Everything was well appointed--no negatives.
Delightful. About the best organized and cleanest gasthaus that I have seen. Very reasonably priced. The food was a plaesent surprise.
We stayed in the cheaper room in the guest house behind the hotel and enjoyed the views over the Mosel while having breakfast and evening meal on the terrace of the hotel
The staff were excellent and extremely obliging. The food in the restaurant was very good and the breakfast choice was excellent. The hotel is a very pleasant place to stay in a beautiful village by the river. I would stay here again, but I would definitely book a room overlooking the river as the rooms at the back feel a bit dark (although they are cheaper and there is a terrace at the front).
Friendly atmosphere, fine and quiet riverside location offering a good standard of accommodation. Food very good. Real value for money. May well go back if in the area again.
Hospitallity and the dinner in the Restaurant. The meal was very good ! Internet ! It's little strange one hotel nowadays, without internet conexion ! For tourism or business, Internet nowadays it's a very helpful tool for everything !
Beautiful view of the River from balcony of room. Lovely breakfast and evening meals.Very friendly owners and staff. Good location for sightseeing. Good parking facilities.
The staff was extemely helpful. The location was beautiful and quiet. nothing
We really liked the room and the location, it's a pleasant place on the mosel. The breakfast is a good surpise for the price, very clean and quiet good. The restaurant is quiet expensive and not so good for french people...
Nice sized room with large blacony, worth the extra money. The food was superb. road was a little noisy at times.
great location room with balcony over the moselle river (after seeing the rooms available we upgraded from standard to comfort room with balcony overlooking the river. was worth the extra 20 euros par night. ate dinner every night on outdoor balcony great chef
The loaction in the Mosel valley is excellent. In the little village u can tast excellent wines from top producers of white wine. Some rooms were rather small. Dinner service was inefficient.
Excellent staff, beautiful location, beautiful view of the river from the balcony rooms on the front of hotel, breakfast on the patio overlooking the river was very nice. There was a mixup in reservations (see below). The hotel apologized and charged us a reduced rate for the balcony room for our last night's stay plus provided an excellent bottle of wine at our dinner. Was greatly appreciated! There was a mixup in reservations and the rooms with the balcony overlooking the river which we reserved were not available the first night. The rooms in the back of the hotel are fairly small with lots of street noises on a summer weekend night . Recommend spend the extra money for the balcony rooms!
The dinner!. We eat one day the buffet, but because we are later, the food was in complet disorder. I sugest that use small "pan" in the buffet, and them , when is necessary, complet wiht another full "pan".
Its a perfect hotel, it was my 2nd time there and a 3rd time is planned already, staff is just so friendly and polite, most of them speak English too which can help, the new comfort double rooms are gorgeous, breakfast is quite tasty, a lot of choice of different foods, we just love that hotel and its location, its peaceful, quiet, nice big forest just behind which is perfect to walk the dog, really nothing wrong about this place nothing, everything is perfect
The breakfast was wonderful even though a staff member slammed a pot of coffee down on the table startling both my wife and I. We shared a tiny balcony with the ajoining room and there was no partition or divider for privacy, only a railing.
Very good food, very poor room (no curtains, so no open window possible also no aircirculation: you'll receive muskito's all over the place)
We only stayed at this hotel on an overnight stop however found it pleasant and comfortable. Staff were most helpful particularly as they were under pressure coping with a wedding and a bus party.
friendly owner - very luxurious - delicious breakfast - nice town. no
The owner, Frau Bastgen, was a gracious and welcoming hostess....champagne on the back terrace was wonderful as was the time spent with her after dinner in the front parlor. Breakfast was exceptional.
Elka Bastgen was the perfect hostess and made us very welcome. The room was beautiful and the breakfast was a delight. Wonderful experience!
Personal attention and interest. Nice (bath)room and facilities. Fantastic breakfast. Useful information for making trip in the area.
Beautifully furnished and spotlessly maintained elegant Town House. The owner goes out of her way to be hospitable and is a great cook No
All of the above plus the professionalism of the owner and the courtesy upon my arrival. I will definitely stay there on my next trip to that area later this year. No. Everything was much better than I expected.
A warm welcome, the excellent breakfast and very good travel and visiting tips. very nice and luxuous decorated house and rooms. nothing
The hotel decor is cheerful and friendly and the breakfast presentation was very well done. Also our late arrival was handled well. Bathroom large and modern and beds and furnishings very good.
Lovely bright, light rooms - most helpful, friendly staff, good breakfast.
It was only for one night. The view from the window over the old town square was good. It was only a b&b hotel. No checking if all was ok at breakfast - eg more coffee.
We hadn't made a reservation for the parking the hotel offers (5 eur), and actually parked our car 50 m from hotel entrance absolutely free of charge. Breakfast selection is nice and includes fresh fruit and vegetables, besides they ask if you would like scrambled eggs or boiled eggs and bring them to your table right from the kitchen. Although the hotel is nice and we did not have any complaints about it, the price (90 eur doubble room) seems exaggerated for a 3 star hotel in a small German town.
Good positioned in city center, nice crew, clean
Very clean, we asked for a bath and we got one, the staff was very helpfull with information about where to go and what to do. The breakfast was good. We have seen better beds, there a little on the hard side, but they're not bad..
extra pillows available and tea making facilities in room would be wonderful
The staff and the breakfast. Not a lot of room to sit in room.
