Great location, sea view room. Hotel with a great spirit of the old Alexandria
Extremely friendly and helpful staff.
I read the reviews for Le Metropole and was hesitant about booking, as there were some criticisms. I wanted a little luxury in Alex but I did want to spend a large amount of money (by Egyptian standards) and then be let down. I found the hotel to be perfectly comfortable and just what I needed. The hotel is charmingly old world. High-ceilinged rooms, large comfortable bed, great choice at breakfast. The sea view from my room was spectacular. Yes, the lighting in the bathroom is a little dark and there are stains on the carpets in the hallways (some reviewers pointed this out) But the room was perfectly clean, the staff very polite and I loved going back to the hotel after exploring the city. I would definitely stay there again.
Nothing for one night
I liked the way they served welcome drink and cookie at the historical and beatiful lobby.
The room small no one tell me you have save box and the bad to big and no room to move
The net poor and no service
beside the Sofitel but cost much lower, with the old world atmosphere, the antique elevator is fabulous
dirty, there may be some flea, the limited space only allow ones sidle through, there is suspicious smell from the toilet,so we can only keep the windows opened all night although it is very noisy on the streets
