5.1 Okay
Pros: The rooms were quite clean.
Cons: I get that lodging in Mackinaw City is hard to come by on summer weekends, but this was way too expensive for what we got. The hotel wi-fi was nonfunctional, presumably because our room was too far from the single router in the office. If I ever stay in Mackinaw City again, I'll be sure to make reservations farther ahead of time.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This vintage motel was big & roomy. I'm not sure if it has always been this well-maintained, or if it was restored during a renovation... It looks "old" but it feels / smells / seems new. It was like being in a time warp, except the beds and water pressure were better, there was a fridge, and we couldn't hear the neighbors! The owners were on-site, helpful, and friendly. My husband and I are 60s and 70s kids, so we thought it was fabulous!
Cons: Honestly, there is nothing I did not like about this place. We're DEFINITELY staying here again on our next trip north; I'm not even shopping around!

Pros: Baymont inn was great from when you pull up till the time you leave. The staff was very friendly and hotel location was good within walking distance to all the shops and reasterants. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We definitely would stay at Baymont again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The person at the desk was over the top helpful with attractions and getting around town. Manager was hands on, and everyone paid attention to every detail. Place was excellent in every way as noted above.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location was great. All of the staff we dealt with were very friendly and pleasant. The room we stayed in was comfortable and clean.
Cons: The breakfast was a little limited in number of choices and quality. It was not bad, just not great.
6.8 Good
Pros: It was super easy to get to, right off the highway. It's super close to everything.
Cons: We had wished that the hotel staff would have let us know that there was a very large senior tour during our stay. Only because the morning ended up being so crammed full of people trying to get breakfast and people waiting for the bus to load all of their luggage. We could have rearrangedone our schedule to try and avoid the mess.

Pros: Location
Cons: Staff was rude! No dead bolt on door. Connecting door with no lock. No fridge or microwave in $--- dollar a night luxury room.

Pros: We got a cute themed king bed room (Roman Holiday). The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. We loved the free breakfast in bed service and the heated pool. It's located within walking distance to several nice parks and the shopping area.

2.8 Mediocre
Pros: The view from the room was the only good thing.
Cons: The staff was incredibly rude. Couldn't connect to the wifi from my room and when I brought it up with the staff, they became defensive and arrogant. They didn't bother listening to my concerns. They also weren't helpful when I asked them about ferry times to Mackinaw Island. They rudely told me that they didn't know and that I should look it up myself. The breakfast was awful, not much to offer and had stale low-quality food. They also didn't have enough food for the guests. The rooms could have been cleaner. Found stains on the sheets and towels. Not all of the lights worked. Overall, a terrible experience and won't be staying here again.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Loved how spacious the room was! The view was beautiful...right on the water, with the Mighty Mac as the backdrop! Great location...plenty to do around the hotel, as well as on the Island. We will definitely come back!!
4.0 Okay
Pros: The location was convenient for taking the ferry over to the island. Nice view off balcony.
Cons: This hotel was somewhere I would expect to pay $50 a night. Outdated color schemes, dark and gloomy rooms. There was a bra inside of the fold out couch which tells me no one had changed the linens in it. The breakfast in the morning was not very appealing inside a room with no windows. The pool and spa area looked like a basement- the water was gross looking. Call me crazy, but for $250 a night, I expect a very nice hotel! I would not recommend staying here.

6.0 Good
Pros: Room was clean and in good repair. Bfast buffet was very nice. Front desk manager very nice and helpful. Hotel location central to most everything in Mackinaw City. We got a good deal on the internet. Overall facility looked clean and in good repair.
Cons: A good deal on the internet meant a poor view out of our room--we looked out half to part of the parking lot (which always-every day- had laundry and carts and other maintenance items and half to the opposite side of the hallway. A good deal also meant lots of foot traffic by our door at all hours. Our mattress was very worn and needed to be turned or flipped or something. When we arrived, we encountered women from Haiti working at the front desk and they were still on the learning curve w/regard to checking people in. We were not given all the info we needed. Our key cards lost their programming to unlock our door twice during our three-night stay (annoying!).
7.7 Good
Pros: I liked the area, rooms were good too, very nice front desk staff. The beach had nice chairs and was clean. Hotel was quiet too.
Cons: The outdoor concourse was not clean, the drainage pipe on the beach was definitely an eye sore, pool hours are not very good as it needs to be open much earlier than 11am.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were friendly, rooms spacious and comfortable and breakfast was very good.
Cons: No complaints
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, comfortable beds, beautiful location, good value. Very clean and up to date. This is my second summer vacation here and I plan to continue to come back.
Cons: My screen door was broken, which wouldn't be a big deal, but northern Michigan has SO MANY BUGS!!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Impressed by the size of the room for the price we paid. We were not in the room much - only to sleep. We had a lakeview room that had an awesome sunrise the following morning. The room was clean and the heat worked great. We were freezing from being @ the island most of the day in 32 degree weather and when we got back to the room it was super warm and the beds were comfortable. Good selection of TV channels and a decent free breakfast the next morning. Great location to everything. Would recommend.
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: I had no stay at the Best Western! It was closed when I arrived at the INN about 6:30 PM. They were closed. A note on the door said to go to a different Inn. I did and paid a higher rate. KAYAK or BEST WESTERN I do not know but GOOE on you and Best Western!! A PHONE CALL TO LET ME KNOW WOULD KEPT ME FROM BEING SO PISSED.
7.6 Good
Pros: Easy In and Easy out. The price was about right for the facilities. Check in was fast. Breakfast was great. Beds were pillow tops and comfortable.
Cons: I have mobility problems and the elevator was a one end of the complex and our rooms were at the far end away from the elevator. There were ramps but I still had to walk too great a distance. I would not stay here again even if on the ground floor because I would have to go upstairs for breakfast with no direct elevator.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Large room, very clean and close to shopping and dining. Breakfast choices were plentiful.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: We stay at this Best Western every year. We like the location and the breakfast buffet is great. the staff is always very friendly.
Cons: Even though I had paid for the room when I booked it, I was charged again when I arrived. However, everything was straightened out when I left.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was good. The location was prime for travel to the island, equidistant to each of the docks for the two major ferry lines. The room was nice, the staff was very helpful and knowledgeable of the area.
Cons: I don't like that the pool wasn't accessible without a trip outside. It was still cool enough outside that that was a deterrent from bringing my young kids to the pool. The layout was only ok for things like the breakfast location and pool location; they very much have the appearance that they were add-ons after the original building was completed. I also had an issue with our toilet not wanting to flush. The maintenance response was quick and efficient, but later in our stay it appeared as though the fix wasn't complete.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Great location.
Cons: disappointed to find out it would have been $30 (approximately) cheaper if I booked direct with the Hotel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What we liked best was the way the rooms are set up. There is an open suite with a private room on each side. The rooms are lovely, nice linens, towels, pillows, and comfortable beds. We were traveling with my brothers and their wives, whom we haven't seen in a long time. It made it easy for us to spend time together. Plus, the location was central enough for us to walk to restaurants and local stores. I would happily return to this motel/hotel in the future.

Pros: View from balcony.
Cons: Only way to access an elevator was in motel next door - very unhandy. Used steps instead.
7.0 Good
Cons: The only access to the beach is also the spot where you eat breakfast, too small. need to take one of the rooms adjoining this area and open it up , would also give you a bathroom for beach users. Ground level balconies should have beach access .
7.0 Good
Pros: Room was very clean, beds were comfortable, and the hotel is in a great location. Staff was friendly. Tiny but cute breakfast area, and you can sit outside right on the beach, which is beautiful! Breakfast is also offered at the Hamilton next door.

Cons: When we arrived we were informed that there was no room for us. My relatives still had a suite, but no room for us. They said they had tried to call us that morning, like it was our fault. We were moved down the road to another hotel which was nice, but away from family. Very disappointing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Was a great location right on the water, a short walk to downtown Mackinaw City and right next to several of the main Mackinac Island Ferry docks. It's also only a 5 minute drive from the Headland's dark sky park and the Mackinac Bride. In addition to the great location, the hotel was clean and the free breakfast was very good

8.5 Excellent
Pros: While not in the heart of town, it was reasonably close- especially to the Star Line docks. The room was clean, the beds comfortable. The indoor pool was well maintained. A hot breakfast was included every morning.
Cons: The room was a little small. The distance from the central part of town was a little awkward- a bit far to walk, too close to justify driving. Nothing major, however.
2.3 Mediocre
Cons: To start the remote didn't work. They have a pool but no hot tub. Then to end our fifteen minute stay, the bed linen had softball size stains all over the bed. Obvious from the naked eye and being dark in the room. Front desk made me call hotels.Com to get my money back which happened then we went to a different hotel. So disgusting.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful lake-front hotel, friendly staff, great little water park. Breakfast was good (waffles were delicious). I loved hearing the waves from our room.
Cons: Our room was RIGHT in front of the elevator and ice machine so it was a little noisy at times. Also, it would have been nice if the pool opened before noon. Other than that, everything was good.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a great time in the water park
Cons: having to leave
8.2 Excellent
Pros: My kids loved the small waterpark. The age range to enjoy this water park would be 3-18. It has 2 water slides, small lazy river, decent size pool, and a toddler pool play area. Beautiful view on the beach at the back of the hotel. This hotel is conveniently less than a mile away from all the shops and restaurants. Staff was very friendly when we checked in and out.
Cons: I did not like the bed sheets as they were really loud when you moved around. There was permanent stains on the sheets as well. At some point those should have been tossed or recycled. It felt a little musty in the hotel. Maybe a good cleaning of everything would help with the musty smell.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was real good the lady that was in there was so friendly
Cons: Would have been a lot better if I was not woke up at 12 am with people fighting in the hall
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: The view of the bridge was amazing.
Cons: The receptionist's are very rude. It took over 2 hours past the guaranteed time to check in to get into our room. The pool was disgusting, we only stayed in the pool for 5 minutes before we left. Overall, i would find another place to stay.

6.0 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: The bridge view/lake view was obstructed by the trees and hotel across the street. The "view" was the top of the bridge.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Balcony is nice and mostly private. Room was clean. Beds were okay. The room next to us had a baby who screamed all night, but that's not the fault of the hotel, just know that if you're a light sleeper and the people next to you are loud, you will hear everything.
Cons: Breakfast is below average. The fruit looked old. Have a bagel or a waffle and go to Pancake Chef downtown. This place isn't bad, but like everything else in this area, way overpriced for what you get.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: They upgraded our room to a mini suite. The grandkids loved staying in a motel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Saved $75 a night. Kingsize bed with a jacuzzi in the room! I was shocked for what I got with the money I paid.

Pros: Furniture was stylish and rustic, perfect for the location. Continental breakfast was as expected, decent selection of quick eats.
Cons: Staff had to be distracted away from magazine in order to check in (acted annoyed with our presence). Then as a second employee argued with first employee during our check-in we were completely ignored. Finally got room assignment and was placed directly next to open lobby area. Asked politely if they had a quieter room available and without looking up from the desk, we were told "we're full". We responded with "oh, you don't have any other rooms available?" And after an exaggerated sigh, told again "we're full". Very rude.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Terrific room, very attractive, clean, comfortable beds, nice air from the windows, loved the ceiling fan; professional, kind and helpful staff; low-stress mid-week stay with private time in the whirlpool (yay!); super location; kick-ass continental breakfast and staff; able to check my business on-line; thinking seriously about booking with you again! Thank you, Super 8 and staff. My mom and I had a great stay!
Cons: Only one thing: We stayed for three days, two nights; and, in that time, saw a tissue on the floor next to a door on our floor that NEVER GOT PICKED UP! Come on, people. I noticed it. How could you NOT have noticed it ??
4.5 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Bed was hard as a rock, pillows were tiny and flat, bathroom smelled, shower has a hole in the tub.
5.1 Okay
Pros: The pool was nice and warm. Neat log cabin theme.
Cons: Our room was right between the pool and laundry facility. Both open until 10pm. Not great if you have young kids that you need to get to sleep. Faucet handle in tub was near falling off. Took about 10 minutes to get it to work right. The continental breakfast looked like they had the same food out all week.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Close to highway and attractions
Cons: Older motel, felt and smelled like it needed updating. Kind of beat up, the entryways were dirty with cobwebs and bugs around. Room was just ok and didn't feel clean. Just old and overpriced for sure. Ok for a quick overnight stay but couldn't wait to move on.
