9.7 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location
9.7 Excellent
Pros: The location is really great for those seeking a break from the kitsch and glitz of downtown Keystone. Set off from main street in the woods, but still just moments away from the 1880 train depot and downtown Keytstone. The breakfast was very good, with a changing menu, fresh waffles, and fantastic bacon. For real - the bacon was awesome. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a rustic and quiet couple of days in the hills.
Cons: The only complaint I had was that the eggs in the morning were a little too manufactured. I would skip those and stick with the bagels, waffles, and - of course - the bacon. No gym - but that really didn't bother me, since I was on vacation, after all.

6.0 Good
Pros: The only place to eat/drink in offseason is right next door (unless you feel like driving 40 minutes in any direction). A place called Barlees offers limited food options but the staff are incredibly friendly. They offered more/better info than the staff at hotel.
Cons: Staff seemed irritated. Didn't offer much info aside from basics. The morning of checkout I waited 20 minutes for someone to arrive at the desk. There was a line of 2-5 families during this period all of which took turns ringing the bell for service. Perhaps they are just understaffed being the offseason.

1.0 Poor
Pros: location
Cons: they advertised as Travel Lodge, but they were not anymore.
1.0 Poor
Cons: We always stay at a hotel with a pool for the kids, however there is no way that pool has been functionalable for years. It was empty cracked and filled with dirt! The room smelled like mold and mildew. We stayed one night and left the next morning!

Pros: Great staff, clean room, very nice pool.
4.8 Okay
Pros: Staff
Cons: No elevator
Overview Reviews
The closest motel to Mount Rushmore near attractions for children, miniature golf, tram and alpine slides. Heart of Black Hills, walking distance to malls and shops.
5.3 Okay
Pros: 3rd shift staff was very friendly.
Cons: Rooms were VERY out-dated! Carpet on the floor went up the area were you were supposed to put your bag...so no safe (aka. clean) place to put your luggage. The carpet, bedding & curtains just left you feeling dirty. Beds were VERY uncomfortable. Would NOT stay here again.
2.8 Mediocre
Pros: Good location to Mt. Rushmore.
Cons: It is a dump. The carpet looks like it's 30+ years old and hasn't been cleaned ever. There was dust built up in the corners of the carpet and a layer on top of the TV cabinet. The walls are so thin that you cannot watch TV at any volume without disturbing your neighbors. Don't bother with the breakfast. They ran out of milk for the cereal, and there wasn't much selection beyond that. The staff was not able to tell me anything about the town or Mt. Rushmore. They advertise that they have wifi, but it doesn't work. I would not recommend this hotel to my enemies.
5.7 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: There was a dusty dead spider and a dusty cheetos, among other things, along the edge of the carpet throughout the room. The blinds across from the bed were so broken they couldn't be used. The impromptu blanket/curtain was not very helpful because it was hard to get to stay up if we wanted any daylight and I constantly thought it was going to fall down and break the curtain rod when adjusting the blanket.

6.0 Good
Pros: The one good thing was that they provided a decent breakfast with a good variety to choose from.
Cons: Very uneven floor due to foundation settling. Small, short Shower stall. The shower head was mouth height and bending over enough was difficult. Lamps and alarm clock were unplugged. Would have been nice to have confirmation of what time zone I was in

2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Location was good.
Cons: We didn't end up staying because the hotel room was dirty and clearly had not been cleaned. It was gross, the floor hadn't been vacuumed in quite a while even though the carpet was new. There was a beer bottle in the bathroom cabinet from previous guests.

Pros: We wanted to stay close to Mount Rushmore to take in the evening show and our hotel did not disappoint. The pool was a great break from the summer heat and breakfast the next morning was a simple way to start your day.
Cons: Hotel staff lacked uniforms or nametags. Still very friendly, just seemed out of place for as fancy as the rest of the hotel appeared. Pool was nice. View was nice.
6.8 Good
Pros: I liked the location of the Hotel.
Cons: The hotel needs to be remodeled. The breakfast was nothing to brag about. The bathroom was tiny and a bit yucky. I would not let my kids swim or get in the hot tub, neither looked clean.

4.5 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: The pool and hot tub were disgusting. The hotel was dirty, smelly, and the rooms were absolutely cramped. The staff were rude and not very knowledgeable of the area (I.e. I asked where we could take the helicopter tour and she said she didn't know. The parking lot is connected to the helicopter tour office.) overall, we stayed to be in keystone near the memorial and the start of some scenic byways and for the location and cost of room, remember that you get what you pay for
5.4 Okay
Pros: Not much
Cons: Resort fee of $12 a day for : coffee, pool and parking. Room was very small.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Easy of location.
Cons: Parking, room needs to be rearranged, TV Infront of mirror. Would be nice if vanity was outside of shower area so both could be utilized.
2.2 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: I didn't receive the room I booked. My family had to split up because they were overbooked on suites that I paid for. Beds were painful because springs were juting out and made the bed uneven. My head was lower than my lower body!
