This was a great and convenient place to stay. The room was comfortable and the en-suite was good. The staff was friendly and accommodating, providing space for our bicycles. I would recommend this place, it is great value for money! Thanks
The hotel is near bars and shops in central Almuñécar, that's about it.
I had booked a double room for my partner and I, for 2 nights, but was shown first a twin single, when I said this wasn't what we wanted and would go to another hotel, suddenly a double was found, not a good start. The toilet/shower room was so small I could touch both walls without stretching out my arms, the shower was tiny. The room itself was also tiny and sparsely furnished, only one bolster pillow, no kettle or any of the usual basic items you expect in a hotel room. It backed on to an apartment block that was noisy all night and also a primary school, which announced breaks/lessons with a very loud klaxon /siren device, as well as the noise of the kids playing/screaming and shouting. There was also a strange smell coming from somewhere.....? Worse was to come, after hardly any sleep we got up to go out, I noticed on the wall there was a broken light fitting that was hanging out the wall, it turned out to be live, which my girlfriend discovered when she accidentally put her hand on it when putting a t shirt on and got an electric shock. As it was our last night, we didn't want to stay in a flop house so we found a different, decent hotel. I tried to find the people running the Rocamar, to check out,but there wasn't any staff in the building, a bit worrying on the safety/accidents/fire front, but I managed to find a number and rang the managers, a young Spanish couple. and said in my poor Spanish (they spoke no English at all) we were leaving and why. After 10-15 minutes the young gentleman turned up and made various excuses but was quite pleasant, but then asked us to pay for the night we weren't staying, I pointed out that we were leaving because it was a dangerous, noisy room, but he insisted , more concerned about losing his commission, than my girlfriend being electrocuted.
Good not expensive for travellers from Busstation...very near to busstation and downtown
A littel bit noisy in the night. For travellers with car difficult to find parking.
Close to bus station
Immaculately clean. Very good price. Quite street allthough in the centre of town. Room smells really nice.
Not clear how to reach someone at reception. No bell or sign what to do.
