The Hotel was clean and staff was super friendly but the parking wasn't free, $21 dollare a day. Yikes! No free parking.
I loved the bed but that's about it. When I first checked in I was carrying my baby and luggage and had my son follow. Got all the way to my room and my key didn't work so i had to drag it all back down and carry it all back up a second time. The shower clogged up. The tv was in & out and some channels didn't have any volume?! No fridge, no microwave, no table for us to eat on.... (There was a desk my son ate on but me & my husband had to eat standing up or on the bed) Parking is $21 a night for guest. You have to pay for wifi & breakfast.
Great staff Double queen beds seemed a little small and mattresses were not very comfortable.
Great value for the price. Only thing that I can point out was check in. We had to wait for a room to get cleaned even though we were checking in 2 hrs past regular check in. Also no hot tub. :( staff was top notch. I have never had towels delivered so fast. I swear they were to us before I hung up, haha
We liked pretty much everything. There's a pool, fitness center, & gift shop. There's also a fully functioning restaurant (The Daily Grill) that is open early & closes late. Great place to have people in the area meet us for food or drinks. Very comfortable rooms with everything you need included. It was nice to have a parking lot in the hotel, but if you opted not to go with Valet, it was a little bit of a walk to get to the lobby with suitcases & such. Adding to that, the parking lot is shared with airport travelers, so there were times at night where we were concerned we wouldn't find any spaces, even though we were hotel guests. But, it still worked out, there were a couple of hidden spots. My biggest complaint is that the air-conditioning unit in our room was very loud & would wake us up throughout the night whenever it clicked on. On a minor note, the business area in the room with the extra outlets had blown a fuse & no power was coming out of it. We let the front desk know. Over-all, these are small complaints (other than the AC).
Room was very clean and staff was very polite.
Everything was great. Was only there for a night, but staff was very attentive. You had to pay extra for parking.
The pool area at night was beautiful The only thing I would mention is that the additional parking fee was not clear when I booked, I ve found out of this at the hotel
Very clean and comfortable. Beds were TOO small for a group of 6 girls.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. No breakfast for guests unless you pay at the restaurant or order room service.
We stayed there before going to vegas for our honeymoon... Awesome place, staff is extremely friendly, totally recommended
Steak salad from room service was exceptional! Employees were friendly and helpful. Toilet stopped up. Hallways smelled musty. Bedspread smelled like someone's perfume - obviously was not washed before I arrived. Woodwork was full of nicks and scratches. Very dissapointing for a Marriott.
Very clean Quite far from main la attraction. Neighborhood is a no man's land at night.
This is a very efficient, comfortable and stylish hotel. The staff is friendly and professional. Clearly, they hire customer oriented staff and pay great attention to detail. I'll definately return.
Everything was great! Would recommend to others
this hotel had the most comfortable bed i have slept in away from home. the stylish simple decor is relaxing and the small details are appreciated. the central location is one of the primary reasons i selected this hotel. very pleased with my experience at this hotel.
The peace and quite and very relaxing and clean Leaving
The guy at the front counter was very helpful room was clean but on the street didn't like that didn't seem like a four-star but did have a minibar valet guy stunk up my car not going back to this hotel because a dirty animal
Pillows, beds, comfort of whole room. Excellent staff. Shuttle was lincoln town car. Across from 24hr grocery store. No view just another room 4 feet away. No pool. Spa water was warm but not hot. Did I mention, no pool!
Just how nice the staff was and the welcome feeling each time you entered the doors An $93 dollars charge a day later after paying the bill that was not given a reason for what it was for.
Very nice room with good comfort Expensive breakfast! Including tax and normal tip we paid almost 70 dollars for a three persons continental breakfast (toast, muffin and fruit).
The rooms were clean and comfortable The staff were attentive and courtious The smoke alarm tests Lack of king bed availaîlity
I enjoyed the entertainment Friday and Saturday night. Kareoke and the house band were awesome The pool area could use some upgrades and a jacuzzi
Staff was amazing (though having a newborn with us helped). Young pregnant woman at front desk (didn't catch her name) was exceptionally accomodating. First night was broken by several members of a wedding party banging on our door and being loud in general.
The modern amenities, quality, location was perfect, The fees were high for an average size of room. I've paid that much in the past (Oxnard ~ Garden Inn) but they have small kitchenettes, free bfast & dinner.
Had frig and mirowave in the room . Our room had a connecting door in it. The one night someone in the other room went to sleep with his tv volume up. beginning of the night we were able to sleep but as it got to early morning it became a problem. However when we tried to fix problem they quickly helped solve the issue.
The rooms were very nice and comfy. Nice size bathroom. The non-smoking rooms wreaked of disgusting stale cigarettes. As a non-smoker, it made me gag!!
My only suggestion is that the room service could be a bit nicer for the price... plasticware?
Ita the nicest holiday inn i hqve ever seen and the girl at the front desk told me it was the biggest too. Also PARKING IS FREE. . . A rarity in LA It was all good
The rooms were amazing, and the view was very beautiful! The workers were very polite and very outgoing
The pool, corner room & breakfast. The parking situation upon arrival.
Everything was perfect
Best place to stay when going to Universal Studios, and I go a lot. There's a free shuttle that takes you to the entrance of City Walk or you can walk there in less than 10 minutes via the pedestrian bridge.
The staff, the comfy beds, location Funny smells, noisy electronics/shower, parking price. The place is good but could use an update
Close to Universal Studios The outside hallway carpet was greasy and muddy. Even after having them clean it, we continued to bring grease and grime and dirt into our hotel room. Our entry walkway was pretty disgusting because of it.
Walking distance to universal and reasonable droving distance to many LA locations. Cost of parking.
The room was spacious...good pillows. Good gym, nice pool. Two elevators were out (and have been for 3 years!), making trips up and down sometimes very lengthy. You can call the operator each time you go to the elevator asking to be picked up, but how ridiculous for a hotel of this caliber. Restaurant food was boring. All three places to eat at the hotel had the same menu, with tiny differences. The first meal or two it is fine, you can find alternate foods to eat, but after a few days, a change is necessary. It cost $18 for a so-called, all you can eat 'continental breakfast'...yogurt, fruit, cereal, muffins and coffee! This Hilton is near the Universal City Walk, all franchise restaurants so no good food nearby for real foodies...if you like buffets with all you can eat, this is your place.
Staff and less than 10 minutes walking distance to Universal studio Wait for elevator and parking was pricey
Staff was great, location to other attractions The parking garage was pricey considering I paid 200.00 a night should get a discount when staying. The elevators were all not in service. Breakfast was too expensive for a weeks stay. I couldn't find a salon inside for service.
Loved the location of this hotel. Service was great as well!
Staff was ecellent Parking a little too expensive
The mattresses were too old and lacked firmness.
The staff were very friendly, and helpful when I checked in. Rooms were comfortable and clean. The mini-bar key didn't work, and it would've been nice to have a fridge to keep some drinks in the fridge, but I didn't inquire with the staff, and I assume they would've rectified that for me if I had. Nice and central, so traveling for business doesn't mean limited options for food and amenities.
The staff was amazing!! So helpful! The rooms were very comfortable!! The beds were great!! We had a room with a view, and it was fantastic. The one big thing that I didn't like was, that there was no fridge in the room. We asked for one and got one for a small charge. The other only thing I didn't like was, that there was no microwave in the room.
Full service, location. I booked and paid for a Deluxe King Room with view of Hollywood sign. I received a room near the elevators with a constant machine and elevator running noise. I asked to be moved and was told someone would be right up and after 10 minutes I grew tired of waiting and went down to the front desk. This was already 11PM. I was taken to a new room that had an adjoining door with a party going on in the adjacent room. I asked to be moved AGAIN, eventually to a room with queen bed. The beds were too soft for my taste. There was a curly hair on the soap dish in the shower. I will never stay there again.
As soon as we stepped out of the car we were treated with such surprising care. The man at valet, Ever (that's his name- EVER, how cute is that?) was so nice that my fiancée and I looked at each other and just shook our heads and laughed. We weren't used to customer service like this. We went to check in early, 1pm, and Melanie at the front desk was able to upgrade us to a corner suite! The entire staff was so professional but without being too stuffy. The hotel was beyond our expectations. Not a big deal but there was one little Q-tip outside our room for our stay. We kind of joked that they gave us the Q-tip suite. We also couldn't find coffee in the morning inside the hotel. We had our coffee maker in the room but needed more and didn't want to pay $15 for a pot of coffee at the restaurant.
The staff was great. It was right in the middle of Hollywood, nice and clean. Loved the shopping connected to it.
Hotel was beautiful! Staff was friendly and attentive. Location was fantastic! Our room had a phenomenal view of the Hollywood sign. Pool was gorgeous. All in all, it was the best experience we could have hoped for on our first trip to Tinseltown.
IT WAS OUR FIRST TIME TO CALIFORNIA FOR MY WIFE AND I ,WE WERE VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE HOTEL .HOW SPOTLESS EVERYTHING WAS.THE MEN IN THE CONCEIER DESK CHRIS,AND NINO WHERE VERY HELPFUL.THE BUFFET BREAKFEAST WAS THE BEST.
The hotel was located in a perfect location. I was close to everything I wanted to be near. The pool and other facilities was the best. The room was also very cozy.
It was unique with every room having different murals and great location, very friendly hotel staff, and they even have a coffee/espresso machine at all hours of the night as well as pastries provided in the morning! Would definitely recommend for a trip to LA and will be staying here again! Limited parking in front so have to park in the back lot
David was very helpful, we had a bit of trouble finding our way however he talked us through it all and we arrived eventually. We end up extending our booking by 2 nights as the stay was comfortable. I confirmed on check in that my credit card was being used as a pre auth only, however when checking out i was informed my card had been charged without letting me know and i could not charge my stay to the correct card and nothing could be done about it.
excellent spacious room, iphone/ipod connection with tv, very good bed, shower, air conditioning, everything works great. very well decorated room, light inside. close to warner bros, just 10 minutes by car to universal studios and 30 minutes or less to six flags magic mountain.
New, modern hotel with nice rooms. Okay breakfast - better than Holiday Inn as one would expect. Incredibly bad sound insulation through the floors. We complained several times about neighbors who had very loud children left unattended into the late hours and the staff did nothing about it. They also did not provide any concessions or apologies. They could also not figure out providing free parking as part of our rate right up until we checked out and had to get it adjusted. We got locked out of our room and it took a very long time for them to send an engineer to bring the emergency keys. Overall, I would not come back here unless there was a really good deal going.
My boyfriend and I stayed here because we were going to Universal Studios. The location was perfect only about a 15/20 minute drive. The staff was so nice. I thought the valet parking only would be inconvenient but it actually wasn't. Comfy beds, clean rooms and bathrooms. We would definitely stay here again!
facilities user friendly, complete, quiet, relax, secure and confort.. none
Staff was very nice and room was clean. I have no complaints. Valet parking was free but only because we had to sign up for a rewards program. If we didn't sign up it would have been 7.50 a night.
Everything, everyone was very helpful and pleasant. We will stay here again! Thank you
What I loved the most was that I was close to everything in LA! Breakfast was delicious! Will be coming back for sure!
The room was big and accommodated everyone in my family. The room was clean and tidy. We weren't aware of the valet parking and would have rather Park ourselves.
I liked the location of this Best Western because it was close to the California freeway system. The streets surrounding the hotel were wide and traffic was at a minimum so the area was quiet. The hotel is close to wonderful restaurants too. Also, the breakfast each morning was upgraded from the past years that we had stayed at the hotel. There was a much better selection of foods from which to choose. Nothing at this time because our stay was very satisfactory.
Service and staff were great!
Plenty of parking., quite and clean. Pool was too small. Free breakfast had powered eggs and no bacon or sausage.
Beds were comfortable with nice pillows. Nice bathrooms. Quiet rooms. Clean. N/A
This place is awesome. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful.
Real nice place friendly staff and area around was very nice lots to do.
The location was good for travel to Warner Bros and Universal Studios We changed room 3 times--the first 2 rooms had old furniture--sofa beds looked awful. The room had an awful odor. We did not want to continue to changing rooms; we sprayed a lot of perfume etc. I will never stay in another hotel which allows pets.
The rooms were nicely arranged. Loved the layout. It was the perfect studio apartment. Very clean except but I found a hair on one of the pillows :(. But room was otherwise pristine. Also, after a certain time there is no room or hospitality service you have to walk down to the front desk. Keep windows closed at night there is a train.
I liked the spaciousness of the room and I really liked the large breakfast selection. I would have preferred two bathroom sinks.
Staff was very helpful, courteous, and , and kind Lack if security cameras in the oarking garage
Have nothing but good things to say about the accomadations. Clean, nice, quiet. This is located very close to the shopping areas and was really convienent to the downtown area. If I had a problem it was with the bill. They added $15.00 a day for parking, plus some tax for parking. It came as an unpleasent surprise, considering everything else.
everything was good!!! with the exception of the parking convienent ,safe, however an unexpected fee for the parking. .. Hotel guest are required to pay for parking at a fee of $15.00 a day... this was not even valet parking.. there was no alternative No. parking in the street allowed.. In essence you are really paying for the ' complimentry Breakfast ' I have paid this and more for valet parking.. Just a little surprise for this .. i have stayed at other Residence Inn and did not have this fee.. Location, Location, Location, I quess..

It was like a small apartment. I liked having more than just a bed and a bathroom, very spacious, continental breakfast . Clean, friendly staff, nice location.I have nothing bad to say about it. I would definitely stay there again
cleanliness and promptness of service well, we just stayed overnight so I can't really tell more about this hotel but so far we had a good experience.
Location, concierge was nice, and the pool was fabulous
Everything. Joe at front desk was sooo nice The rain!! Booo
The hotel is tired. It has two elevators that hold ten passengers. One of the elevators was often out of order. Sometimes there were guests stuck in the elevator. There was no way to use the stairs so wait times to get to our room were long. Our room was small. The TV was not working well. Mediocre at best.
The service and room were phenomenal N/a
i liked the look of the rooms. They were nicely decorated. The size of the pool was great - lots of room for everyone. The location was very convenient to a Metro and to the touristy area. The pool area was a little confusing. It was hard to tell which chairs were taken. The chairs by the shallow end of the pool were occupied by people who didnt seem to want to get wet which was frustrating. The hotel room felt like a store. Too many items for sale. This also took up precious space for personal items.
Music was great as well as quality of guests. Staff were very rude and not helpful. Would not accept cash for incidental room fee
- Fresh and well-maintained hotel (especially considering its age) - Very cool decor in the main areas and rooms are well-appointed - Very nice staff - Pool is nice (although it can be crowded during the day, and has a 'bouncer' stationed at the entrance - this is needed given the popularity, but is a little much) - The first room I stayed in was small, had a view of nothing but the rooftop A/C units, and had incredibly noisy ventilation system. The very polite front desk staff moved me to a different (and much nicer) room upon request - $10 bottles of water in the room. Come on guys, a complimentary bottle of water won't kill the margins. - 'Hotel-branded' flip flops for sale at $20 instead of the inexpensive complimentary slippers that are normally available at hotels of this level
My room smelled terrible. I didn't like the staff because they were very rude to me for walking around the hotel at night.
I told them we were staying for a special occasion and they had the availability to upgrade our room. Very accommodating made the night special for us, despite the many events happening in and arround the hotel (holiday parties etc.)
The decor and friendly staff, the 24hr diner and the pool party. The lift was close by and was a little noisy early hours of the morning.
Great rooms. Great bar. Wonderful onsite restaurants. Wonderful location. Fantastic staff.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location, very close to many tourist attractions. Great restaurants and bars inside hotel. Very cool atmosphere Very hard to sleep in when staying by the pool. Lots of noise every morning from both the hallway and the pool. Hallways smell like weed. Even though we knew we had to pay for parking, $36 a night is a bit extreme
Staff was very friendly and helpful! There was not much nearby that was walking distance, but easy enough to get an über to take you to nearby sights/activities.
Everything. Food very Good. Could not fault anything.
Room was ready upon arrival, very clean, nicely appointed rooms, easy access location. Rooms open to central courtyard which was noisy from the var at night. Room service never brought my order, no call or any apology and the desk staff didn't seem to care the next morning when I told them.
Staff was great. Hotel was clean and comfortable. A little off the beaten path but seemingly a nice neighborhood. I asked for a pre noon check in online the day before and I was not allowed to check in until 3 pm.
helpful staff, good service The pool they were supposed to have was located at another motel. A little deceptive to say they have a pool.
It was very clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The television was nice too. The coffee was delicious. The fact that I was given a room next to testosterone fueled college athletes. They were extremely rowdy, yelling in the halls and slamming doors. The guys in the room directly next to mine kept yelling so loud, it was as if though in the room with me. I was a little worried at first thinking they were arguing and that it would escalate. Luckily, it didn't go further than yelling and slamming doors.
Very convinient hotel, close to Universal Studios, close to lots of shops and restaurants. Very accomodating staff. We will for sure be back. Just the parking fee.
Clean rooms and comfortable bed. Friendly front service. Gift/snack shop located near lobby. $19 a night to park in their garage & the parking spots are for small compact cars. The walls are thin and our room was across from the ice machine. Needless to say but I got little sleep the one night I spent there. For a Hilton I expected much more.
Restaurant was great Charge for parking
The hotel is in a good location, right off the freeway. The room was nice and big, and breakfast was quite good.
I really enjoyed my stay. The staff was friendly and caring. When I checked in, I was talking with the front desk and i told her about my crazy travel day with canceled flights, she said I would like to buy you a drink. She called the bar and told them I would be down and the first drink, no matter what is on the house. Overall great place to stay if your working in Pasadena, Glendale, and Burbank areas. I had a great stay.
The location was perfect for our visit to the area and the comfort of the hotel. Having to pay $19.00 per day for parking.
The rooms were big and clean. Very comfortable! Our toilet backed up... Wasn't from a giant turd or anything though.. (my wife did it)
EXTREMELY convenient location (near the freeway, Trader Joe's, gas station, and Walgreens), with plenty of great dining options nearby. Crab Boil Ave. and Porto's Bakery & Cafe were my favorite.
I loved it. Don't like how pricey it was for one night but overall it was a good experience. The only downfall was the shower because theres no rail for the water to not get out of the shower! So water gets everywhere!
The parking fair is charged on the card you leave on file. Self Peking however you are required to pay 18 dollars a day. Not a way we wanted to spend our honeymoon
I was super impressed by the staff at the Hotel. Can't think of anything
Some of the front desk staff was polite. Pool was a decent size. Bed was not leveled .Floors also felt like it had holes at least 1 square foot in some spots. Shower head was pretty dirty. The noise was bad from construction crew that was fixing a room close to my room. Noise from highway was pretty bad early morning and late at night. Walls were so thin that I heard conversations as if I was in the same room.
The carpets and floor were filthy
It was probably an awesome place in 1982 when it was last remodeled... First time I've ever been to a hotel that there was no cold water in the shower. I've had lots of no hot water experiences, but only scalding hot water was a first.
The room was cleaned daily, beds were made and they have lots of pillows in the room. Couldn't hear noise from other rooms. Although you are right by the freeway, you don't hear lots of noise. Little to no parking. One day we came back late to the room and there was no parking, and it was confusing on where it was ok to park out on the street. My husband had to help me take the kids up stairs then come down and park the car in a compact area. The check in staff was not the friendliest.
Poor hotel Infested with silver bag Poor internet so called free WiFi
Acoustic insulation is not good at all. We could hear every conversations of people walking by our room. Both queen bed is squeeking too much and curtain has multiple holes.
The staff at the Ramada in Burbank are very friendly and helpful. The rooms we clean and tidy and the furnishings had been updated in the last year or so. The only complaints are to do with the building. I believe this is an older building and you can tell. Our sink leaked pretty badly from the faucet into the cabinet under the sink. We would get standing water under the sink almost daily, and would try to wipe it out, but you could tell this was a constant problem; there was visible water damage and a little mold (it looked like the entire area had been scoured recently or there may have been more). My other complaint was the shower. This place probably has old piping and without a huge renovation I don't know what they could do about this, but they have some kind of hot water heater/weird piping gremlin here. No matter what temperature you try to get the shower to, whether it's ice cold or as hot as it will get, the temperature changes constantly and dramatically. i would be in the shower and suddenly the water would get completely scalding. This wasn't right after I got in it would be about six minutes in and I hadn't touched anything. So I turn the temperature down all the way and the water gets hotter. Way hotter. I'm standing in the shower and I have to get out because the water is going to burn me. I stood there for five more minutes waiting for it to cool down enough to get back in and wash the shampoo out of my hair. I barely got it rinsed it before the temp jumped back up again, and the temperate was still set for as cold as it would go. Later that day, hours later, when my husband went to use the shower, He would have either scalding water or ice cold water and no in between. We found this problem to be constant in our 7 day stay. We also had the maintenance people look at the sink and they tried to fix it but it didn't really work. It didn't really bother me, I just wiped out the standing water but I was worried about water damage to their hotel and I leaking through to the room below if the problem went unchecked or unnoticed by the next guest. So the pipes are old and the shower was frustrating and you had to be careful using the sink so you didn't flood the area, but the staff is lovely and the rooms were clean and the beds are comfortable. And they have free wifi and the pizza place will deliver to your room.
Location and parking and staff. It wasn't clean, shower water temperature wasn't consistent, sink faucet was broken, restroom wall was damaged, carpet was ripped,
Cheap, relatively clean Rooms and building exterior badly need rehabbing. Tub was patched with repair compound and needs to be reglazed. Shower head is waaaay too low, and I'm only 5'10
The room size Very out of date, not worth the price. Needs to be 25% cheaper.
It was dirty and smelled weird.
The beds very hard.
Very big rooms, that includes a kitchen and a big bathroom The rooms smelled a litle bit bad
Very good about late checkout. Which happens often when travelling internationally.
The location was handy, just outside of the hustle and bustle of hollywood but close enough to access. The rooms were lovely, clean and very spacious. The was also a pool and sun deck to chill out. The staff were very friendly and helpful. No internet access, and it was difficult to get a car parking space at the motel car park.
Location was ok, pool was nice, staff was great. Room didn't get cleaned until after 5:30pm. Price was pretty high for what you get. Although Hollywood apparently means automatically charge $100 more than what place is worth.
very pleasant very clean great locationtranspo to and from airport exceptional We booked two rooms several months before our stay. We indicated the need to have two bathrooms and that we were traveling with twin boys age 8. The rooms were not next to each other. They were close but not one or even two rooms apart. That was an unpleasant surprise when we arrived!
The excellent location ,well maintained and economical hotel has everything I need for my quick trips to Burbank. Unfortunately, my neighbors' TV woke me up at 5 AM and kept me up till I decided to get up and start my day.
The willingness of the staff to move us to another room due to a minor plumbing issue.
A generally positive experience, with comfortable accommodation and good location for access to Universal Studios. Breakfast facilities were minimal, no hot water for tea, no cereals available. It would also have been helpful if a cold water bubbler were available.
Got a great price on kayak for the two nights I stayed. Very clean room. Close to where I needed to go in Burbank. Short ride to several food options. No complimentary breakfast. Regular prices are too high. Dated.
Convenient location Staff was not overly firendly and the rooms were substandard
Friendly staff, nice swiming pool, good room Poor breakfast (beverages - coffe and orange juice only, no tea or milk...)But the orange juice was excelent!
It was what was expected a normal hotel inexpensive hotel that was friendly and helpful
Blinds on the window didn't shut, didn't sleep at all
Having to wait in line to get into drai's
Room service was fast and delicious. May have just been our room (2nd floor overlooking an outdoor area for dogs), but I was awoken throughout the night by loud noises coming from outside and the hallway.
The room was great and the hotel was beautiful, the place made me feel special. Also the gym was well equipped and specious. The staff were great too. The room wasn't cheap which is fine it was a top quality hotel, but on top of that were so many extras e.g. internet, parking and not even one complementary bottle of mineral water ($9).
The Hotel itself is very nice, and the staff were absolutely fantastic.....except for the door guys at Drai's and The Station who I don't believe are actually hotel staff. The arrangement with Drai's itself would make question going back. I paid almost $400 per night and had to (a) wait in line 20 minutes on Sunday just to find out I had to pay $20 pp to go up to the pool and eat lunch.....which itself would have been over $100. We were also told and Friday and Saturday by the doorman at "The Station" (their outdoor lounge) that there was a Private Party and we couldn't come in. We asked Management who told us that our room key should get us in...they straightened it out but the door guy sure didn't like it. The Private party ended up being 20-30 people at one table....the lounge itself wasn't half full. I also emailed Drai's a week in advance of our trip to book dinner and never heard back.
Location, location and location - that's the only thing positive about this hotel. Otherwise, it is no better than a poor hotel with bad everything - Rooms are aged (badly need remodeling) - Rooms are not kept up and clean (there was mildew buildup around the sink and it was blocked for us) - Service is poor (45 min to get shower cap)
Upgraded to larger family room with Sheik theme when they saw we had kids. Kids liked it. Location great. Porbably slightly older than the Hilton next door.
I did like that my room was ready on time and that it had a view. When I arrived there was a leak in the restroom that they did not fix... I has the same issue with the water leaking from the toilet when I woke up the next morning. Also the morning I checked out the TV did not work and I had to call room service to fix it and reprogram it. The price was not up to par with the type of room I was given.
Fantastic staff, great location within walking distance to Universal Studios & not far to drive to Warner Brothers Studios. Rooms are a bit dated & need a makeover, however they are currently renovating the public areas so I am sure they could possibly then start on updating their rooms. The public areas look great.
I loved the location; close to Universal but also a short drive from Hollywood and Warner Brothers. Walking distance to small restaurants and gas stations. The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in! And the view from the 20th floor was incredible. The room needs some updating. Dings and marks were visible on the walls and the bathroom showed definite signs of wear.
Was charged a deposit at the hotel, had to pay to park. Also room was soooo cold had to sit in coat and hat, called front desk we were offered a space heater but it was never brought to the room. Called the front desk and was told the heat had been cut back on so heater in room should work now.. It didn't
Location was perfect for me. Rooms were nice and clean. Bed, comfortable. There is construction going at the corner of Lankershim and Universal Hollywood Dr. I stayed for two nights where the construction completed at 11PM the first night. Unfortunately construction continued ALL NIGHT the second night which was a Friday night. I was woken up several times by the work that was going on!
They charge extra just to use wifi, which is typically a standard accommodation everywhere. The place is run down.
The Hotel Staff was amazing! They went above & beyond to make sure that our stay was everything we hoped it would be. Nothing!
Team members were friendly, shuttle to Universal Studio mall plus in walking distance if you choose and food was good. We were there for our grandsons birthday First I could have had better room rate then what we got Sheraton is a Starwood management and we are owners of a Hotel in San Diego that is also managed by Starwood.. So I had told the manager checking us in that and he still didn't do anything about a lesser rate. Second under remodeling no ATM machine black out curtain didn't close properly use hair clippies to keep outside lighting out at night..
Clean beds. Parking is expensive ~$55 for 2 days. And if you decide to leave the hotel for few hours to cruise around town, you will pay even more for hotel parking. Nothing is free, not even the coffee in the room. $30 breakfast (basic) per person is ridiculous!
Arrived with family and Young Children. At midnight had a fire alarm that told us to exit the building via Staircase. We did. carrying 2 children and 20 flights of stairs later. We were told, It was the steam from the kitchen that caused it, go back to the room. 1 am, this gets repeated again. We get told someone was smoking, go back to the room. This happens again. We just go to the staircase with no energy to walk down 20 flights of stairs. We call 45 min. later to find out (false alarm). So next morning - the staff gets approached and we get told oh there was a party on the 21st floor that was using a fog machine. I asked why not have a PA system in the stairs so you can notify the people to not panic or there's a fire on the 2nd floor or anything. They said oh I know.. WTF.. I know. I just left with family never to return to that one again.
