All was great. The view is amazing. Staff was polite and friendly.
The view from the bedroom is amazing! From the balcony of the restaurant is even more! The room is very large, very soft bed sheets, lovely staff! Very helpfull. We’ve just love it!
Shower was splashing water out of the box, wetting the bathroom a little bit.
Booked the Junior Suite with Lake View. The view from the room was stunning; both day and night. The bed was on a raised platform and looked straight out through the huge windows toward Bellagio and Lake Como. The terrace was large and opened up the views even more. You could happily spend hours on the terrace, with a nice Italian wine and nibbles, just taking in the view. The staff were exceptional; helpful, friendly and welcoming. The lawn terrace where we ate breakfast and dinner is large and sits above the detached Junior Suites, where it provides even more expansive views. The dinner menu was fairly basic, but tasty and our waiter was hilarious. The views also take in Villa Carlotta, Grand Hotel Tremezzo and the church on the cliff face, San Martino, which are a short ferry trip away across the lake from Bellagio. Other guests said they had views from the hotel itself, but I recommend paying a bit extra to get a Junior Suite. I also recommend a hire car, as it is high up on a hill and some distance from Bellagio. They do run a shuttle bus into Bellagio.
The hotel is looking tired and the bathrooms could do with an update, however that hardly detracted from the overall feel of the hotel. The hotel caters for cyclists, so if you have an aversion to mamils (middle aged men in lycra) then be warned. Having said that, if I was a keen cyclist, I would definitely add this hotel to my list of cycling holidays.
Might only have two stars, but I'd get married here. The view over the lake is mesmerizing. When breakfast is served on the terrace, you can enjoy it to the best, or from one of the rooms. Ours was recently updated, certainly in the bathroom, but the update managed to retain the rustic charm of the place. Yes, you're quite far outside Bellagio, but this place is not to be missed as an experience.
Owner Carlo was amazing and kind - our room was fantastic and I mean fantastic. Menu was smashing and we've been here 3/4 times before. As Arnie S sad we will be back !!!
Swimming pool. I know I'm being cheeky !!! Or hot tub/jacuzzi. Again joking but ..... Maybe nice for all the cyclists Otherwise perfect position /staff / bedroom All perfect !!!
