Excellent food, great views, spacious rooms, very friendly staff and very easy location for my work and historic Bhaktapur. Fantastically helpful attitude which is really appreciated.
Decent breakfast made as per our demand of vegiee food
Unable to recall anything which I did not like
A very comfortable stay. The staff was very accomadating, and the special breakfast was the best.
Nothing to complain
I stayed at the Bhaktapur Paradise Hotel for six weeks (end of February to beginning of April 2019). This hotel is amazing! If you want to live in a very clean, very comfortable family-run hotel in the middle of a local community, Paradise is the right place for you. The staff are extremely welcoming and can't do enough to make your stay as memorable as possible. When the weather is right, you get fantastic views of the Lang Tang range. Nothing is too much trouble for Shree and his team. He can tell you everything you need to know about the Kathmandu valley and the whole of Nepal. He can take you on very informative site seeing tours and be your personal guide. UNESCO World Heritage Sites are very close in Bhatapur and Kathmandu. Transfers to and from the airport are complimentary and they look after you all the way through immigration if that's what you need. The food is varied, nicely presented and extremely tasty. Service is excellent. Housekeeping was to a very high standard and usually plenty of hot water. We did experience power cuts from time to time, that's common in Nepal, but the hotel has a standby generator on hand which never let us down. The wifi is also great. It was a real pleasure to stay there and I look forward to renewing my friendship with everyone there when I return.
The only small downside is the barking of dogs which you notice sometimes in the night, but again this is common across Nepal. It's no big deal.
This family-run business offers exceptional service! Nothing was too much trouble. The staff were friendly and very happy to stop and talk to you. I’ve now been to Nepal three times, and the room was the best I’ve had so far. Will definitely go back and can recommend this hotel to any traveller. The food, cooked by Runit, is excellent and they even cooked us traditional Newari food - which was delicious. I cannot say enough good things about the the staff, they were truly fantastic and really made my stay enjoyable. Considering I was there for work, that was a real plus. On my day off, Shree, the hotel owner took us round the main sights, for a relatively small fee and is an excellent guide - very knowledgeable and very proud of his country - rightly so, too. That was great value-for-money, without a doubt. Old Bhaktapur city is within walkning distance of the hotel... and it’s beautiful - plenty to see and do. For those who are trekking, this would be a perfect start to your trip. Those I met who were using it as a launch-pad for the trek were very happy with the hotel and the service and support they got from Shree - who also runs a trekking business (contact him directly at the hotel for more information).
The only slightly, tiny, drawback was the location. It was excellent for where I was working, but if a tourist, it’s a little distant from main Kathmandu. However, the hotel has big plans to run free shuttle buses to and from central Kathmandu.
Located in Bhaktapur, Bhaktapur Paradise Hotel is within a 15-minute drive of Pashupatinath Temple and Boudhanath. Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, dry cleaning/laundry services, and luggage storage. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free valet parking is available onsite.
