Check in and out staff were friendly. No wifi available even though it was advertised as free. Dirty carpet in room. Clogged shower drain. Constantly running toilet. Rundown room appearance. Overpriced for a person to enter the water park only to watch their child and not partake of the facilities. Breakfast buffet was inedible and coffee was like warm dishwater.
The staff was very friendly and courteous. the deal I purchased did not include water tickets, it cost another 60$ when I got there, the hotel is dated and needs some repair work done on the rooms. Overall it was decent but was NOT happy with the water park passes not being included for such a high price.
Nothing was running in the waterpark and no one disclosed this at check in. Staff was incredibly rude. Dirty sheets. Dirty coffee filter left in the machine. Tub did not drain. Ice maker broken. When requested help from staff told to deal with manager in the morning. 45 min check in. 45 min check out. All of my money was refunded after quite an argument. Complete BS! Everything.
The facility is dirty, has poor renovation quality, and everything was closed down. No restaurant, no bar, half the water park was closed. The water park air hurt my lungs to breathe because the chlorine and chemical levels were off. Very unhelpful staff. Called down for more blankets which they never delivered. Tried to not give us water park passes even though they were included in purchase. Pretty horrible all around.
The female staff at check in were super nice. The fact that everything can be heard in this hotel no matter where you were. We were on the first floor and had to listen to the kid in the room above us run back and forth across the room and jump/fall from 7:30am until they left for the day and then listen to it again at night when they came back until well after 11pm. I called management, said they would take care of it and it continued for the rest of our stay. HORRIBLE!! The bathroom shower curtain rod was just hanging by a thread and ready to fall off. The fan in the bathroom sounded like it was going to explode every time we turned it on and there was a huge chunk of ceiling missing where the fan was at. Not to mention that I somehow de-magnetized our room keys and while I was getting them fixed my husband was able to take a credit card and open our door just by slipping it into the side of the door. How wonderful that none of our belongings were safe the entire time we were there! This place needs to fix their stuff. I wouldn't come back again. Not worth the headache. Take some of that $$ we spent and put it to some good use.
GREAT WOLF LODGE WAS EXCELLENT. THIS WAS MY FAMILIES FIRST TIME THERE AND I WAS VERY IMPRESSED. THE LADY THAT READ THE STORY YOU COUNLDN'T HEAR HER CLEARLY, AND THE FOOD IN THE DINING ROOM FOR BREAKFAST WAS HORRIBLE. OVERALL IF THESE TWO THINGS GET CORRECTED , THIS PLACE WILL BE AWSOME.
They had everything we needed right on sight. We liked the extras that they offered for our children. They received Wolf ears at arrival and had activities and a bedtime story in the lobby. We all enjoyed the waterpark! The game room closed at 9. I think 10 would've been much better. We couldn't fit everything in. We had one staff person at check in that wasn't helpful at all and wasn't very nice. Another person apologized for her and took care of what we needed. Everyone else was very nice and helpful.
Rooms reception reponse time to room calls people where respectful I could relax and have fun with the kids Breakfast at the restaurant it brought down the standard in my view
Waterpark was phenomenal for an indoor park. Suited more for younger children than tweens. Had a hot tub that was for adults only but children were present and splashing around a lot of the time. Overall, pretty nice. Rooms could have been cleaner and they are not the "family suites" as advertised, they are double hotel rooms with log furniture.
The location was awesome. We went to Cedar Point and it was super close and very easy to find. When we got to the hotel the room was so cold. I mean really cold, which was nice since we had a blistering hot day at Cedar Point, and all of us really like our rooms to be chilly. The room size was very nice for four people and we for comfortably, I would not have stayed in the room for an extended stay though. The hotel was also pretty close to some nice food resturants in the Sandusky area. The room and bathroom were also pretty clean. The hotel wasn't fancy or brand new, a little run down, but comfy. That bathroom. The bathroom was way way too small and every time we turned the light on it made a distorted ringing noise that was so abnoxious we used our cell phones for light. Also, the breakfast. The breakfast was not very good at all. There was no warm food. You could put like a bagel in the toaster oven, but it didn't work. We also had to walk to the Pavilion, which was forever away from our room and it was also outside. It got very hot and muggy in there really quick. We even left and took our breakfast to our cold room.
Cozy room with a fridge, microwave and jetted tub. Had a nice selection for breakfast. Rooms could easily be updated and be so much nicer. Coffee maker did not work.
easy check in breakfast breakfast - .outdoors
place was very clean with no maintenance issues . the ac and heat unit worked very well. was able to take motorcycle inside court yard and park right at our doors. the outside screened in room for continental breakfast was a very nice addition. housekeeping staff was great and supplied me with extra rags and showed me where outside water hose was to wash my motorcycle because it was so dirty from being caught in rain.
The room was clean and comfortable. Very close drive to many restaurants and the park. Though having the jacuzzi split between the bedroom and the bathroom, it turned out to be a pretty cool set up. We loved the huge tub! The decor is very dated and the grounds could use some upkeep. The "continental breakfast" was disappointing (thawed frozen waffles, three choices of cereals, and pop tarts). We didn't like the outdoor seating area, since it was pretty cold that morning.
Nice hotel There isn't much parking
Staff was incredibly friendly and gave incredible service. This includes both the front desk and the housekeeping. I love that breakfast was free and had a lot to offer. Its actually been the best hotel service I've had in awhile compared to a lot of other places I've stayed at. Thank you much.
It was a very nice room and the price was just right, the restaurant across the street was delicious and I would stay here again There was trash underneath the couch but other than that no complaints
Was nice to have a sofa in the room for extra seating. The beds were a bit small. Would prefer queen beds over the full size. The sofa should have a pull out bed for extra sleep space.
Room was very nice for the price, and the breakfast was great, they even have a pancake machine! Staff very friendly too.
Spacious room, friendly staff Uncomfortable bed
excellent rooms due to fact that you get a suite bad tempered staff. weird attitude
Friendly staff, nice rooms/amenities, great value Wi-fi slow and functions sporadically. An abundance of Trump campaign signage with no corresponding reason/event.

Location The room itself was NOT very clean. I saw several extremely long black hairs on the bathroom countertop, another long hair on the back of the toilet seat - - both in plain sight! Alarm clock didn't work. Several lights did not work.
The front staff was very polite. The room was very large and did not feel like we where on top of each other. The location was perfect, it was in the middle of everything you need. The only problem I had was with the motel kitchen manager. MY food was not cooked right at all and he was rude to me, but the owners of the place fixed it and I was happy with the results.
the staff were very friendly and helpful they even told us about a great restaurant that was open late at night after a day at cedar point they gave us a good room that was very roomy however there was no microwave or fridge in the room just coffemaker the room had ants they were pretty bad crawling on tables, counters and our shoes when I told them about them they said nothing I was disappointed if I wanted ants in my room I would have gone camping
It was easy to find and right on the strip at Cedar Point. I was a bit uneasy returning to my room at night in the parking lot. I didn't see any security.
Staff was pleasant. Our shits had shoe prints and cigarette burns. Alarm clock was missing. The Bar/Restaurant that was located in the lobby was awful. Service was almost nonexistent. Waitress brought us wrong drinks and food...and we were the only ones there.
The location and value are very good. Being low priced, I did not expect much, but it was just fine. There was a party in the parking lot that went until 2:30 AM. I do not know if this is normal, or if it was because it was Halloween weekend.

Restaurant/Bar was actually tasty and VERY reasonably priced in comparison to other things in the area. Clean and nice for the price.
Location. The restaurant would not allow kids after 10 pm as its also a bar.
location to cedar point is perfect. the staff was exceptional
Friendly staff cleaner room, nice view of the outdoor seats by area and pool. Much better than expected for the price!!! I will book there again!! :) The air conditioner smelled bad but the staff was more than happy to fix this it and it was great after that!!
Great Breakfast! They Only Had 4 King Bed rooms

We loved our weekend getaway and the big whirlpool in our room.
Clean and fully stock bathroom amenities. N/A
Convienient Newer Hampton Inn owned by same people was closer to the highway and they would not transfer our reservation.
The price of the room was fair & the location was excellent. No refrigerator and no microwave in the room.
Great breakfast, nice staff.
You are definitely feel like a guest they appreciate. Their attention to detail and cleanliness in superb. The breakfast buffet was delicious with fresh make yourself Belgium waffles. I have to say I was very impressed and happy with this hotel. There was way too much chlorine in the hot tub. My son and I were trying to sit in it for a late night soak and my eyes and lungs were actually burning. I had to get out because of this. Couldn't even be in the room. It was overkill.

Brian at the front desk was enthusiastic about being at the hotel, very professional and courteous
The mattress Price for room quality. Room was ancient and had no pay per view
Everyone was friendly, hotel very clean, breakfast buffet was very good and afternoon cookies was nice. Pool and hot tub were clean and beds very comfortable. Average room, bit pricey. But considering the area and older hotels, I was w lling to pay for a better hotel.
The staff was nice & it was affordable. The safety latch on the door was broken, mold in bathroom, walls super thin can hear everything going on in room next to me, the bed was so uncomfortable. I am still recovering from the back pain 2 days later.. I just felt so unsafe sleeping there.
The location was convenient. The staff who we called man sir boy was absolutely great. We don't think anything came up missing. There was an odor about the room. Our only roll of toilet paper had blood soaked through it. The pool was solid green sludge. The entire premise smelt like an ash trash and all we could breathe was someone else's second hand smoke from somewhere. Our room was entered while we were not there.
no internet , staff rude
Staff very helpful and kind
They gave away my room
Dirty, reeked of cigarette smoke, the restaurant In the building was Chinese and it was disgusting. The t.v. didn't work. TheRe were young people in the pool playing music loudly and splashing the whole area being disrespectful. It was a waste of money. We asked for a non smoking room and they gave us a smoking room and didn't fix it in anyway.
Nothing The smell upon entering the room was horrendous. There was water damage on the ceiling holes in the walls. The toilet ran all night long. The bed was small and uncomfortable. if it hadn't been 1am in the morning when we got there we would have went to a different hotel. Not sure where the people who wrote the reviews stayed at but this place is a dump and not worth the not worth your money or safety.
Mattress was very firm. I slept well. ceilings for first floor rooms was rather low.
Location Dirty and run down
Close to cedar point, and clean !
The absolute only things
The pool was great, room was clean, bed was confortable. Breakfast could use a little more food.
Very dirty old rooms. Stains on everything.
I had my family with me and the room reeked of smoke, I was very upset to say the least as I had asked for a non-smoking room. The second room smelled less bad, but still smelled not fresh at all, the continental breakfast was good, free parking, you get what you pay for I guess. Was disappointed, I will not be returning to Budget Host Inn.
Proximity to Cedar Point. Dated room, broken lights, broken luggage racks, overall upkeep of the hotel. You pay for 3 stars, but you end up with 2. It is really close to Cedar Point, and a few restaurants though.
Convenience to the park, outside eateries. Pool and whitlpool located on the oermises. Housekeeping staff was great with their daily services. Cedar Point Breakers Express need to update the rooms. The rooms are old and need some attention. An iron and an ironing board should be in the room. I had to call to ask for an iron/ironing board of which was never delivered. I had to walk to the front desk and advise that I waited 30 minutes. Customers travel a distance to get to the hotel, their are no ammenties such as microwave, or a fridge. It's not like they have an eatry located on the main floor of the hotel. Gift shop/convenience store is nice, but an eatry would provide more revenue for the hotel.
Proximity to park, decorated for HalloWeekends and the super clean rooms. Nothing.
We loved bow close the hotel was to cedar point and ability to purchase cheaper park tickets that also allowed us to get into the park early The room we had was not in the best shape. There were obvious signs of age/wear and tear. Beds were not very comfortable either but for a short drive from the park, it is a good hotel to crash at before driving home
Close location to the park M/a
Close to the bar I went to. Pictures of Cedar Point Rollercoasters above the beds. Overpriced basic "Days Inn" room. Check in at 4pm, check out at 11am, so you pay a lot for 19 hours. Housekeeping came knocking on our door shortly after 9am wondering why we haven't checked out yet. Also, I showed up at 1pm and asked if I could check in early, but was told I had to wait until 4pm, even though the guy in front of me didn't have to. If you want a cheap room for your trip to Cedar Point, look at the hotels on Rt. 250, such as LA Quinta Inn, which have the same rooms for half the price. If you have the money, I'd stay at Kalahari.
The manager was very rude and unprofessional. We will never book an other stay at this facility.
Proximity to cedar point was convenient and price was fair rooms were filthy..doors didnt seal..the pool was disgusting and way over chlorinated..bugs in the room kept getting bit all night.. Spend a little more and stay at a decent hotel next time
Clean comfortable room and great value for money.
We were pleased with the roon we got. The manager was friendly and helped with the questions I had. The room was small in size, but for the one night we stayed it was fine. The room was clean, but had a musky smell (which didn't surprise me considering the age of the hotel). The bathroom was spotless! I was impressed with that since I have worked in a hotel as a housekeeper for two years. It was a quiet area too! I would stay here again the next time we head to Cedar Point!
This is an older property and it shows. For a close stay at a popular destination this is an excellent value. The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly. Don't expect a lot more. We had a large group and needed several " inexpensive" rooms for a 2 night stay. We got that. This property is just a 5 min. drive from the front gate of Cedar Point.
no elevated in building. bathroom was in the process of being painted. Room smelled. Vey high humility in room everything felt wet
Located just minutes from several things. Easy access from road. Good breakfast. Parking lot small, no map of hotel facilities.
The breakfast was okay and the beds were pretty comfy. The air wasn't working right and we had to change rooms at around 1:30 in the morning cause my whole family couldn't sleep due to the room feeling like a sauna.
There was a jacuzzi tub! It was a great value for a large room with a comfortable king size bed. The morning staff was quite friendly and helpful, allowing us to help ourselves to breakfast after 10 am because we're not early risers. The jacuzzi tub was in the living room, oddly reminiscent of a cheap 80's porn studio. The room also was not adequately ventilated to accommodate such a sweaty amenity, and we spotted mildew on the ceiling. It also smelled quite damp, an indication that previous guests and staff are not capable of handling the responsibilities associated with having a bathtub in one's living quarters.
Clean and practical. Small room. Sink outside bathrooms.
Breakfast wasn't that great. The waffles were a bit hard. Overall I will stay there again.
How amazingly clean it was! I would definitely recommend Fairfield Inn.
Leaving Asked for a main floor room was told none available due to remodeling and watched people move in to main floor rooms after request. Desk Clerk unfriendly and unmotivated to help. Room smelled of carpet glue and urine to rest rooms Have fun staying at this place, a 2 star rating is very generous. Not worth $100 + per night. Left after 1 night and stayed at the Days Inn down the road much better for cheaper.
The manager went to the back of the kitchen to give us english muffins to make breakfast even though we were an hour late for breakfast. It was really nice of him. We stayed here for a wedding nearby. The room/bathroom was clean, there were plenty of towels, and the AC was working well in 95 deg weather.
The price was low for the area but you gave up a lot for the price. I will spend more somewhere else and be more comfortable my next stay. Didn't feel clean, breakfast was lacking but staff were nice.
