Pros: Pleasant location, nice room, well presented & well maintained, helpful staff, great outdoor spa, great well presented breafasts
Cons: Advertising - I was expecting a real fireplace in the room - not an LPG one.Not being able to make a cup of tea or coffee when you want one and very restricted/specified hours when you can make one or you have to ask for one. Kitchen/drinks closed 6pm
Pros: We stayed here at the last minute due to an incoming storm, the staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean, and the beds were really comfortable. We didn't have a chance to check out the neighborhood, but it looks nice and is right by the lake shore.
Pros: The hotel was good and clean. we enjoyed the stay very much.
Pros: Great place nice remodel job, beautiful views, great staff, great price, and good breakfast.
Pros: We loved the room. It was updated, spacious and had a corner gas fireplace. The continental breakfast was better than expected, and every employee we met was extremely nice and helpful.
Try your luck at the casino when you stay at Firelite Lodge in Tahoe Vista. You can go for a morning swim at the outdoor pool and visit the health club for a workout. There's also a spa tub, and rooms offer fireplaces and microwaves.
Cons: The dinning options are inadequate and did not meet our expectations. In-room dinning options are limited and low quality. Dining is a major factor in our experience and the Ritz-Carlton offering seemed disjointed.
Pros: The location was perfect and the room very comfortable
Cons: We were there to ski 1 day and have the timing all planned out. At first we were disappointed that the free breakfast didn't start until 8, but then we figured we would change things around a bit and we could still eat before we got to the ski resort by 9:00 am. It was an issue when it wasn't open at 8, even though I called the lobby the night before to confirm I had the time right. We waited until 8:15 and the office still wasn't open, and we didn't see any movement inside, so we let for the ski resort. Of course for me, it was no big deal, but my boyfriend (who needs to eat before any activity) was pissed and luckily I was able to keep it from being a big fight. Nothing worse on a get away than a pouty boyfriend lol.....
Pros: Lakefront property
Every room has a view
Cons: Need some updating in hot tub area;
Walls are thin;
Outside night lamps are too bright
Pros: The hotel is perfectly located right on the water, with a beautiful and enticing private beach. The room where we stayed afforded the most delicious view and as we were on the top floor we had the luxury of tall ceilings. We found the staff very friendly and helpful, and we would have liked to stay longer. We will be back!
Cons: The décor in the lobby and breakfast area could use an update.

Pros: We thought that the bath products were great in that it was mildly scented and not overbearingly musky or floral. The breakfast was a great addition to our stay. Free wi-fi is a plus. Sweet movie night for the kids. Definitely will be back.
Cons: Tired facility. Thermostat did not seem to work....could not cool the unit down in the dead of winter. Basics like shampoo and lotion not included.
When visiting Tahoe Vista, Edgelake Beach Club is a great choice to consider. The seasonal outdoor pool is a great spot for a morning swim, and guests can get a workout in at the fitness center. Condos feature kitchens, fireplaces, and balconies or patios.
Pros: The beds were comfortable and breakfast was good - although some variety from eggs, potatoes, and sausage would have been nice since we stayed 4 nights and had the same options 3 of the 4 mornings. The room was very clean and seemed well maintained.
Cons: The pool and spa were under construction until Sept 1 and we were not aware until we checked in. The walls, doors and floors/ceilings are also very thin. We heard footsteps over our heads that woke us up in the middle of the night and there were several very squeeky floorboards. We also heard every hallway conversation as people passed by. From our room we could also hear people going up and down the stairs to the second floor and the laundry getting done in the morning. The fan in the bathroom also only turned on when you walked around in the bathroom as it was hooked up to a sensor that had a hard time determining if you were in the room.
Pros: Located close enough to the freeway and to down town Truckee
Cons: Truckers and local drivers join to the breakfast which is a bit uncomfortable and akward
Pros: Some great features - very nice, extensive and tasty breakfast; comfortable bed, upgraded sheets (though they have pilled a bit); free internet; pet friendly
Cons: Bathroom and some of the other decor
makes the hotel seem like a budget motel.
Pros: Quiet dark room easy to sleep in. Hot breakfast. Security access for all visitors. Functioning clean hot tub.
Cons: Shower hot & cold water hooked up backwards. This fixture also did not turn off completely.
Pros: Really nice setup for a budget. Had a more cabin like feel. Very cool
Pros: Located next to Truckee Bars and Restaurants. Close to Northstar & Squaw valley.
Pros: The staff is awesome. Great place, great people.

When visiting Tahoe Vista, Holiday House is a great choice to consider. Free WiFi is an added perk, and guests can keep active with onsite snorkeling. Rooms feature bonuses like kitchens and washers/dryers, along with balconies and living rooms.
Pros: Booked last minute and paid a bit more than we had liked but we loved the place! The location is gorgeous and perfectly nestled between Truckee and Sugar Bowl resort. Waking up to run the 7 miles around the lake then taking the beautiful back road into Sugar Bowl to ski for the afternoon was an ideal day made possible by waking up at Donner Lake VIllage!
Pros: Reservation manager did try to accommodate us with a balcony and perhaps cleaner carpeting.
Cons: This hotel was nothing like I had hoped. Tiny, filthy carpet, 2000 feet from the pool. The room was twice as far as anticipated. It felt more like a fancy jail cell. I stayed 30 minutes on a 2 day prepaid reservation. No refunds, no fun. Don't stay here.
Pros: WAS CLOSE TO WHERE I NEEDED TO BE . ALSO ONLY PLACE WITH VACANCY AT LAST MINUTE
Cons: kitchennete deluxe' not . No oven. Stains on coffee pot, did not really want to sleep in bed the linens could use to be replaced. Does not look like anything has been upgraded since the 50"s Definitely would not return and wonder if there were bed bugs?
