Chattanooga has that special blend of natural beauty and Southern charm. It’s a fairly large city, with every convenience, but also offers direct access to nature. You can spend the day hiking in the Appalachian Mountains, visiting Ruby Falls waterfall and Rock City, or playing along the river. The choice is yours. This is what made me first fall in love with Chattanooga. It’s a city, sure, but it also has a mountain-town feel and adventure-loving citizens. There are plenty of accommodation options for overnight visits (a full weekend stay is a must). The top-rated hotels in Chattanooga include everything from 5-star properties with all the bells and whistles to cozy inns in historic buildings. The best hotels in Chattanooga all have great locations – either downtown or in the Southside Historic District – and welcoming amenities. Here’s my pick of the best hotels to stay in Chattanooga.

1.

The Edwin Hotel, Autograph Collection

Address:

102 Walnut Street

Price:

$242-$931/night

As the only 5-star hotel on this list, The Edwin has no trouble ranking among the best hotels in Chattanooga. It’s located on the northern end of town along the waterfront, near the 16.1-mile Tennessee Riverwalk. You can see both from The Edwin’s beautiful rooftop, which is home to the city’s first rooftop bar (where you’ll find 100-plus whiskeys) and a plunge pool.

The luxury and opulence continue inside, which is outfitted with high-end decor and a curated collection of local art. For me, the art collection is what really makes this property stand out – it’s like a mini gallery.

Rooms have views over downtown or Walnut Street Bridge and include marble bathrooms. If you’re looking to stay at one of the best luxury hotels in Chattanooga, you’ve found it.

2.

The Westin Chattanooga

Address:

801 Pine Street

Price:

$164-$1,347/night

The Westin at Chattanooga is impossible to miss. Its orange-tinted reflective exterior gives just a hint at what you’ll find inside – namely, expansive floor-to-ceiling windows that make you feel as if you’re floating above the city.

As one of the best hotels in Chattanooga, The Westin has a well-deserved four stars and each guest is treated to views of downtown or the mountains (thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows found in every room). If you’re staying for a bit or traveling with family, I recommend booking one of their opulent suites, which have kitchens and dining areas along with a lounge space.

The Westin is just a couple blocks off Market Street, near the Tivoli Theatre. The Tennessee Aquarium and Creative Discovery Museum (both great for kids) are less than 15 minutes by foot.

3.

Kinley Chattanooga Southside, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Address:

1409 Market Street

Price:

$154-$604/night
