Night 1, take my dog out at 4:30 AM only to find out door #7 is broke. When the auto lock engages for the night requiring a room key you cannot open the door from either inside or outside the building. The next morning I told the front desk about it. She said they knew and it was supposed to be looked at. Night #2, 9 pm we get back to find a handicapped individual trying to get in. Thankfully someone saw her and opened the door. The next morning, told the front desk again! Night # 3, get back at 6:55. My daughter checked the door, again, they had checked in an elderly/handicapped person and sent them to a door that doesn’t work. I went right to the desk, the girl said someone checked it and it was working fine. Explained it works during the day but not at night. Maintenance is layed off during COVID. Stop checking people in and sending them to a door they cannot enter after 7.
Cleaner pool and surrounding areas
Great Family Stay
We had more than 35 family members over Easter. We started this tradition more than 35 years ago.
Very decent hotel, but a little over prized
The amenities and the size of the room. Also, although it clearly has some years on it, the hotel is pretty decent looking and is pet friendly.
The front desk staff seems to be a little disengage and not really welcoming. Also, I got my rate on 20% discount and that put the nightly rate under $100, for the record, I would never pay over $100 for this hotel, it is not worth that amount of money. If they renovate a big part of the rooms and the hotel area, they probably might be able to charge more, but the current conditions are not for a over $100 fare or a 5 star hotel.
We stayed at the Ramkota because my daughter's dance convention was being held there. The kids enjoyed the pool area and the ballroom facilities were enough space for the convention. The location was great as we were right by the mall and restaurants. The Sunday brunch buffet was quite good.
The entire hotel needs a face lift. The bathroom grout was black and all of the carpet, paint and tile was old and worn. While the check in staff were great, the staff in the lounge were complaining about having to be there and made us feel like we were a burden for wanting to have a drink and watch a football game.
tv microwave fridge
Out dated, door hits toilet, stains in ceiling, carpet failing 130 not value for competition, missing light bulbs, no available outlets at desk
The location was close to the mall
Bed was lumpy and hard. Toilets flushed very loud. Thin walls. Heater turned on and off very loud. Swimming towels not stocked. Front desk staff not friendly. Roll service order was messed up. Vending machines don't vend properl . We don't get away from home very often so this was supposed to be a fun little get away for us. It ended up being the worst hotel stay that we've had in a while! This is not including other hotel guests that were noisy or not watching their own children in the pool area. We had chosen this hotel for the pool area for our kids to have fun swimming.
Won't stay again
Location was nice
Room had garbage on floor when we arrived. Toilet was covered in hair n old urine. Room smelled of feces. Pool was cold and dirty. Not enough pool Towels. Pool was small. Too many people for that size pool. Front desk staff not attentive
The pool area was nice
Our room was not very clean. Remnants of food on the floor.
Nice amenities and comfortable
I like that there is a restaurant and bar located in the hotel.
There was food under the bed.
