Super location with excellent view. It was like staying in a private house. Friendly welcome, nice rooms and a good breakfast
This is just one of the best hotels I've stayed at - small yet very cosy and modern! Fantastic ocean view from the room! We stayed there in November, but I've enjoyed taking a swim in the morning and in the evening even if the water was cold. Very good breakfast.
There's no bar or restaurant at the hotel, so you have to bring your own food. There's a very small local shop uphill, though, if you don't mind to climb for a wine bottle :) You might find it difficult to locate the hotel on the maps, but the staff will help you.
I liked the fact that it's so close to two "levada" walks and the fact that it has a pool, though small.
The fact that the pool was not always heated that much, the surrounding gardens need to be taken care of...some flowers are clearly dry. Photos on site are misleading in this case.
I lived 11 years in Madeira and I never thought that could be such a gorgeous place. Accomodation was equivalent to 5 stars hotel. Ideal place to relax and disconnect from a big city.
scenery, silence, comfort, value for money, village environment
maybe a welcome drink :)
