The beds were comfortable, the shower was easy to use and the breakfast was lovely, with a very pleasant waitress, named Zoe.
The hotel is further than 5 minutes walk away, so, thank goodness it was not raining when we went for breakfast. The curtains could be thicker to block out more light. We could not keep the window open, so had to put a box of tissues in the window so that it did not close. We had several issues with our room which were not actually sorted out during our stay, although we had written down our issues and had reminded the receptionist every morning. For the last night, we were offered an alternative room, which seemed too much effort to move all our belongings for just one night. When i told a member of staff that our electrical issue had still not been mending on our last morning, i was informed that the electrician was on holiday. I am amassed that they do not have another electrician they could ask as a back up. We have stayed in much better, yet cheaper, establishments.
Not a lot
Room to small for one but was a double
The hotel is very well located in the middle of town and easy to find. All the main sights are within walking distance and no need for tour guides. The place was clean and quiet, got some good rest. Ridiculously cheap entrance to main sights. Loved the whole old town feel and history of the place. Worth a visit even for just a day trip.
It was a bit of a pain that there is no reception or breakfast area in the building of Peregrine House. It's not a long walk to the Pilgrim's Hotel where everything else is - about 10 minutes to and from. Not ideal for people who like everything in one space, book the Pilgrim's instead.
Room nice, great access to everything. Nice staff.
Bed was too soft. Not far from town, in the center. But walking home alone after 9 pm ... deserted and uncomfortable.
The city is wonderful which I'd been there sooner amazing.
The nicest people I've met.
