Quality hotel ,, great service from all the staff ...
The extremely attentive staff who made this hotel such a world apart from so called "posh hotels". Beautiful situation, close to Chester and yet in the middle of nowhere. One of my better choices.
The other reviews have an element of truth regarding the requirement for updating the decor.
Breakfast was great .How nice to have a freshly cooked breakfast though new crockery urgently needed
Stained cracked crockery every morning for breakfast,Leaking radiator,(reported but not mended in the three days we stayed) very dirty window ledges, carpet edes and doors hand/finger smudges on doors which did wipe away with a little effort, therefore one felt that the cleaning was below standard and not observed by management.
-Very quiet place, although there were weddings - close to Chester - nice rooms
the music in the dinig room, always the same or nothing, not professional
Staff were all friendly, ambience was excellent, beautiful peaceful grounds and hotel.
The room windows must have been open for about a week, I spent the first hour of checking in killing all the mosquito's and flies in the room.
oasis of calm, spacious comfortable room, spacious bathroom, most friendly and helpful staff.
It has a great location, very fine restautant. In fact we wish we had more time to enjoy the hotel and its facilities.
The most Friendly service
Very helpful staff, lovely atmosphere, good food, good sports facilities.
