Beds and room wasgreat The breakfast host was rude and pushy
Good value for the area. Clean room, good staff and fairly good breakfast.
Had everything we needed, nice breakfast, and indoor pool and hot tub were geat.
Everything was so clean and nest. Nothing
room was clean and well stocked--had little fridge and microwave. staff was good--breakfast and pool were both excellent. location was too far from town to walk in evening or morning and denny's, next door was good food but closing within 1 day when we were there. since we had young children with us, didn't want to load back into car to go another place and not sure about future visits if youngsters with us, as new eatery to be "bar and grill" type, heavy on route 66--of which there are already a dozen of in Williams!
Nice room. They were laying new carpet when we there, so that'll spruce things up. Ice machine not working on our floor which I would hope would be fixed by the time you read this.
Williams is a very interesting place ... Take advantage of the Grand Canyon-"CENTRIC" amenities that it offers ... The hotel is very adequate ... and as a reasonably priced accommodation, your Grand Canyon trip can only benefit Not a fan of the 2nd story room ... The back left wing of the hotel has no elevator ... I had to "lug" the "luggage" up 2 flights of stairs ... UGH!
Room was clean, check in was easy. The main phone number for the hotel was not working. We tried for over 3 hours (from multiple phones and locations) to let them know we were running late and it just rang and rang. When I checked in, the clerk said the phone hadn't rang all evening and that another guest had said the same thing. I even had my daughter try to call from Phoenix since I thought it might be cell phone issues.
This is a family oriented place. It's quiet for a place right by a FWY entrance. Convenience & easy to find. Close by fast food & local restaurants. It's a comfortable and clean place for a one night stay. Kids enjoy the indoor pool after a long day of sight seeing and drive. We also enjoy the complementaries (free coffee, water & popcorn) while waiting for check-in. Self laundry service with reasonable cost. We suggest the place to offer or include complimentary breakfast.
Don't know. Ramada would not cancel our reservation because we called 10 minutes past the 24 hour cancellation period. Kayak called Ramada immediately but was told to "call back. We are very busy". When Kayak called back, they were told no refund. Our reason for cancelling was weather related. Snow! Bad service!
Great location to be near Williams Az. and the Grand Canyon. Not a thing
Affordable rate was the highlight. The restaurant was being renovated; options for food were inconvenient.
Hotel was clean Free breakfast was not included in the stay.
Nothing! We had to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances and they would not give us a refund! So we were charged for a room we did not use. We are still planning on going to the area but will definitely find a different hotel.
Gateway to the Grand Canyon Staff were overwhelmed, but helpful.
Rooms were clean. No new soap and no new wash cloth or drinking cups for second night.
The staff were very pleasant The bed was comfortable It was a little on the dirty side , carpet , bathroom floor. For the price I was expecting better
Easy to book. Staff was friendly. Our heater caught fire. They didn't switch our room but instead had us keep our window open in 35 degree weather and gave us a fan. They were unable to refund or discount our stay since we booked it online.
Location was great for grand canyon and route 66. Beds are old and slide to edges. Sipped to be 100% smoke free, but our room reeked of cigar smell. They were sold out, so they had no options.
We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere, the food and service in Spencer's Pub, and the very clean bathroom. The location was also pleasant and interesting. We did not enjoy the very murky water in the pool and the lack of any hotel staff or security staff in this area. While we were swimming,a teen kept one of the outside doors open while smoking, blowing smoke directly into the nonsmoking pool area while chatting with his group. This area needs to be monitored. Additionally, the floor in the towel room was dangerously slick with water and several people, including myself, narrowly missed taking a fall there. The lack of internet availability in the rooms was also a problem, though I was well aware of it in advance because I read other people's reviews as well as the hotel description.
We liked the concept of the hotel. We arrived in off-season, so it was quiet. Located near some useful amenities, like a Safeway. We joked while walking down a hallway to our room that the hotel very much reminded us of the hotel in The Shining (may have been the off-season quiet and the remote location that added to that feeling). Wasn't a big fan of the very limited menu in the lounge. Poor TV reception and no flat sceen tv's (it's 2010??). I wish we had better planned the timing of our trip to take advantage of the railroad and train that takes visitors to The Grand Canyon. Disappointed we couldn't do that.
convenient to grand canyon
The Polar Express Experience Spencers Cafe - excellent cuisine with impeccable service & great atmosphere
Location in center of town for shopping, quiet & clean. The buffet was overly priced for a family
Great atmosphere, Grand Canyon experience. No
I loved the location and the look of the hotel. The staff was very helpful. The room was clean and the bathroom was very large and very comfortable. As for the hotel, it was great. But the food in the buffet was not good at all. The foor was bland, and not very much of it. We left more food on the plates than we ate. Hated to waste the food but it was that bad. We ordered foor from Spencers which is the hotel bar and grill, and the foor agai had little taste, and a pasta diner was placed in a cardboard box with no liner between the food and the box. Tacky for sure and took away from the taste of the pasta.
It was a clean hotel but very busy
Railroad was a great experience! It was a fun way to spend the day, meet people and see the Grand Canyon! Housekeeper knocked at 8 and woke us up on a day we were not checking out and planned to sleep in. Had to call numerous times to get handicapped room guaranteed before arrival. Pool looked very dated and unappealing, even to my 8 year old. The buffet at the cafe was way overpriced and travelling with a friend in a walker-we had no other options. No room service. Room not cleaned at all on second day.
The price was great, the rooms were clean, and it is conveniently located near the train depot to get to the south rim of the Grand Canyon. The staff could have been a little more warm and friendly.
We loved the charm of the old style hotel. Shared bathrooms were not a problem for us. Do note that the front desk is not 24 hours, but that thr staff were fantastic enough to stay open latefor us. Very convenient to shops and food. About 1 hour from the Grand Canyon. Be warned that route 66 is divided through town. Hard tomspot the hotel since it lacks the bright lights of chain hotels. Easier to spot from about 1 block west going on rt 66 east.
Location was great allowing us easy access to the railway station. Room was clean and modern. A good value for the money. Window curtains were sheets only allowing for little privacy. This was very bad and unfortunate. Also, the shower head was just...difficult and strange.
I really liked that the beds were very comfy & that you have a choice of a firm pillow or soft pillow. Had great tv, really liked that they had Directv with all the channels including the movie channels. Great location. Room had everything you needed coffee maker, fridge, safe. Great shower! Really great breakfast! Really thin walls, had a family above us with kids the kids run around & screamed & cried all night keeping us awake. The room didn't have a blow dryer. Night staff wasn't that friendly.
The staff at the front desk were fantastic to work with (Thank you). Except for Saturday (the busiest morning) the breakfast was very satisfying and the people friendly and helpful. This hotel was built with economy in mind. There is no insulation which means you hear the footsteps of upper floors and activity in surrounding rooms. This caused problems with night time sleeping.
Clean, friendly and what was needed.
We called ahead to notify the motel staff that we would be arriving late past normal check in time. After a very long exhausting 6-8 hour drive, the room they booked us was NOT clean. Beds were unmade, dirty towels in the room, place was a mess. We notified staff and they set us up in another room. Room was clean, but towels were dirty. One towel had a huge hairball in it which was very visible and other towels appeared dirty. Staff did not seem to believe this and the towel with hairball was brought down to the lobby to show the staff. Someone definitely dropped the ball on making sure rooms were properly cleaned and on their quality control check. How do you not notice dirty towels like that? Our second night, someone who identified herself as one of the "owners" was extremely rude to my family. The owner literally screamed at the top of her lungs at my family members for an innocent mistake because they were checking out the swimming pool. Owner threatened to call the police and falsely accused my daughter and my nephew of "vandalism". The owner gave us an ultimatum of 1) leaving the motel and getting a refund for the night, or 2) to head to our rooms and turn in for the night. Who speaks to or treats motel guests in this manner? Owner later apologized (because she knew the way she behaved was inappropriate, unprofessional, and uncalled for). I will never give my business to Motel 6 or any related chains again and will encourage my friends and family to do the same.
Good location Rooms for smokers - bed smell, not working internet
Location No wake up call.
the room room was big and clean, coffee was not bad, a little bit too far from Grand Canyon..
It's close to downtown and had spacious rooms. Wifi was terrible. The place reeked of cigaret smoke. Smokers were everywhere outside the main doors.
The room was very clean. fresh fragrance in the room & in hallways. Beds were very comfortable. Staff was excellent.
Clean rooms and indoor pool Shower felt like we were going to fall through floor. No fridge. No microwave. Ice and snacks were on first floor. No elevator.
Rooms very old. Beds old. Beds on floor with no frames. Rooms smelled of mildew. Lobby had extremely bad smell.no fitted sheets on beds and sheets didn't fit the beds.
Location is good. Easy to find The room is quite dirty. Facilities in the room is quite old. The staff is not friendly at all. No wifi internet
It was very clean and the management was great! The beds are a bit hard and it's not fancy but a pretty good value for the money.
Friendly staff and assistance when needed. This is a no frills location but you do get what you pay for in a tourist area. I'd stay there again when visiting the area. Internet was a little slow the first night but it was a full occupancy rate and usage. Second day was much faster.
A noisy air-conditioner on the floor,a tiny refrigerator

The hotel is on the main road, close to the entrance to town. It is not very clean, not updated. There are better options in Williams.

Location No complimentary shampoo or lotion
The Travelodge staff does a great job of making the facilities clean and affordable. For an area that hasn't seen new construction in decades this location is about as good as you can expect. The swimming pool was closed for the season in March. But otherwise it was a great affordable motel.
The room was clean, the hotel in a prime location. will definitely stay there again the next time i'm in williams
nothing It is just an hotel to stay the price is to high compare to the quanlity of the hotel, the cleaness!!!
Clean, location close to shops and restaurants. We took our kids to the Polar Express. Travelodge was great location and free breakfast made it even a better value! Staff was very friendly. We would stay here again!
Beds were too soft which contributed to a sore back
the village of Williams is à good example of an old town. Very Nice atmosphere. This helped for the rating of this hotel. Breakfast was very poor as there was No bread with jam, but only cereals and muffins.
Overall room was clean and staff was nice. Good location. Would recommend to friends and family. Would stay there again. Night stand drawer was not clean, empty chip bags left in drawer. Stayed in smoking room and was not allowed to smoke medical marijuana in room or outside of room. A legal medical marijuana card holder should be allowed to smoke there medicine. Better coffee choice and access to sugar and creamer would be nice. Also earlier check in time by hour or two would of been better.
It was clean and cheaper than staying at the grand canyon national park. The pool was dirty - full of insects.
close to grand canyon at a reasonable rate no
The staff are super friendly and the rates were great. Everything on the main drag is within walking distance. The hotel was cozy, clean, quiet and updated. Short hour or so drive from Grand Canyon and even shorter drive to Bearizona. Nothing.
It is located in the historic Route 66 area so it was close to shops and restaurants. The clerk at the front desk was AWESOME. The hotel needs a renovation desperately! The decor is dated. The rooms smell musty. The shower felt like you were stepping into a cave. The outdoor pool was small but nice. The hot tub was located down the hall inside. It needs to be retiled. Considering the cost of other hotels in Williams this was just ok for the money.
It was only an hour away from Canyon . The town was nice small and fun. It's literally just a room to stay in. Don't expect things to be clean, the breakfast was laughable and bed uncomfortable.
We stayed at a B&B. The owners were friendly, kind, considerate, and just made the experience fantastic. No. Loved our stay.
This was my first experience with a bed and breakfast. It was awesome. I really liked the home. The sycamore room was so cozy nice. It was relaxing and it was first class. At night it's quiet and everyone there is very respectful and courteous. No complaints.
Great environment, very friendly host. Best hotel we have ever stay for years!
Proximity to Grand Canyon Wifi was super slow and inflated prices for Saturday is ridiculous, but I suppose they have to stay competitive.
Quiet clean hotel near town afford-ably priced. Room size is a bit small.
Perfect place to stay for us to run up to the Grand Canyon and the Route 66 old part of town was fantastic! Great shops and great restaurants.
location was close to grand canyon. quiet/peacefull location. bathroom was clean and functional. I measure a bathroom by how well the bath tub drains. If it doesn't pool water, it's great. This bathroom was great. window view out into the woods. Peaceful. cool breeze coming thru when the window was opened.
Price. Quiet location.

So much charm and character
Hotel Employee was the best.. Due to to poor weather conditions, she helped us with plan A, B, C and D... just a little disappointed that there was no ghostly visit...
Historic and very nicely maintained. There are several bars nearby that play loud music well into the night. This did not make for a restful sleep. Also, it's listed as a B&B... The breakfast was in the form of a voucher towards a limited menu at the restaurant next door.
Personal attention. Location.
Perfect place to stay if you want your imagination to be inspired while in the SW. People were super helpful. Room was funky. NA
Great location and staff. Excellent period decoration and available books about area available. good referral to Red Raven Restaurant
Love that it maintains its historical character. John is a great host.
Quaint atmosphere. Room was very cleanStaff was pleasant. Air conditioner did not work well. Outside temp was above 90 degrees. Water pressire and temp very low. Some loudness from bar next door . Balcony barely fit 2 chairs and faced the restaurant exhaust system
Yes; the rooms were so nicely decorated and in keeping with the period of the Old West. The bed was comfortable, baths nice, and staff absolutely great. John was so friendly and informative about our questions. We loved the town! Everything was perfect!
It is warm and personal. I feel like a guest in a relative's home instead of a travellor in a hotel.
beds were comfortable old and smelly
Room was acceptable for a overnight highway stop Pool was dirty. Breakfast was woeful. Waffles, white bread, and Raisin Bran.
Good location, friendly desk staff The climate control does not have a thermostat, so it is difficult to regulate the temperature. The towels were ragged and scratchy. The breakfast was meager. For the price (around $100/night) I expect better quality. I would not stay here again.
Facility looks neat and clean. Close to freeway with easy access. Wifi was very weak and spotty. Difficult to find a comfortable setting on the thermostat.
We are simple so a clean bed and shower will do! But this place was in a great location close to a lot of really cute old fashion restaurants. Not far at all from both flagstaff and the actual Grand Canyon. We loved the Grand Canyon Brewery located only a few minutes from the hotel! We have no sincere complaints or negative comments!
The staff was very helpful & courteous. We liked the fact that we were driving distance to their old town. The blackout curtains were ripped & didn't close properly-I had to clip shut. The TV channels were limiting & many channels didn't come in clear-fuzzy. Pet friendly, put someone let their dog bark for over an hour during the evening hours.
