Breakfast was fantastic! I can't recommend this place enough! Thank you for out wonderfull stay!
Cons: For the first time don't ride to there is the dark, small roads and cliffs on one side. Trip is so worth it tough! You also need to take the lower sky road.

Pros: I was so pleased with my stay at Rockmount House. Anne was such a gracious host and was so nice to fix me a sandwich when I arrived so I wouldn't have to venture back out that night. She truly went over and above with her kindness. The road getting to the property is narrow, but it's in such a beautiful location that it is worth it. Their beautiful collie, Bonnie, was a wonderful greeter to the house and said goodbye to me as I was leaving the next day. The breakfast was wonderful, and my room was immaculate and comfortable. I loved walking out to the cliffs behind the house and having it all to myself. A wonderful stay!

No lunches needed after a Rockmount breakfast. Overall an excellent places to have stayed, and would happily go back again.
Cons: None really. Some may find the single track Sky Road from Clifden a challenge, especially in the height of the season (it must be about three miles out of Clifden). Some may also find the payment in cash rather than by card also a shock. there is plenty of notice that this is the case once you are there, and also on the booking.com website.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Seafield House is on Sky Road, in a beautiful hillside setting. We enjoyed driving around the narrow roads above it, searching for the ideal spot to see the sun set over the sea. (We found it!) The welcome was terrific; Sinead has a relaxed, understated way of making you feel at home. The room and en suite were new and smart. The breakfast options were impressive. We went for the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, which were delicious. It was handy to have the use of a communal sitting room. I'm afraid I broke a glass shelf in the bathroom, but Sinead was so gracious about it. All round, an ideal place to stay - and Clifden itself is an extremely attractive town.
Cons: Nothing!

Pros: Schimmel!! Gesundheitsgefährdend! The bathrom smelt terribly of grey - it is a health risk to stay in this room. I had lung problems for 3 days and had to find a possibility to wash myself elswhere. We wanted to print our flighttickets and were told, they had no printer, so we had to go to another hostel. In the morning though it wasn't a problem to print the Recipt of our payment. Breakfast is for only one hour 8.30-9.30. check-in has to be between 4pm-6.30pm. Children are not allowed.

Pros: We had an amazing welcome by the owner, she was really nice and friendly. Our room was big enough for the 4 of us and the view from the room was beautiful! The breakfast there is home made and really tasty. And the price of the room was really reasonable compare to the quality that we got!
Cons: The only thing I can think of it’s the low pressure of the water in the bathroom and the WiFi did not work so well but this did not ruin our stay, it was not a big deal!
6.8 Good
Pros: The room was lovely. Owner was very nice and friendly.
Cons: Check in time of 6.30 is too early. Shower entry was tiny as panels are too wide. Just managed to get in and out of it. Was noisy from other people during the night.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lydie was so friendly and helpful.
Cons: Poor coffee and tea facilities in the room.
7.0 Good
Pros: The location. The view. The welcoming and kindness of hosts
Cons: Old bed fournitures, especially the mattress
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Pulling up to Waterfront Rest along the Sky Road you find an immaculately kept, beautiful place, with the most calming view of the water. The rooms are comfortable and cozy with anything you could need to be comfortable. And Lydie was the loveliest host! The breakfast was also phenomenal and the homemade jams and homemade Nutella a real treat! The Sky road is narrow, but you aren’t on it for too long if you are making your way into Clifden. Following our host’s recommendation we ate at Mitchell’s Seafood Restaurant where we had a really delicious meal. I was traveling with my mom and sister and we were so happy we chose Waterfront Rest to stay!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was spotless, the bed very comfy. The grounds and view were just magnificent. Breakfast was very nice including some homemade jams and spreads as well as a full selection of hot entrees. The owner, Lydie, was quite helpful and recommended a lovely route down the coast and was knowledgeable about driving times and other practical details that would let us get in to Limerick in time to meet friends for dinner. The scenery is spectacular, and you're right on the coast.
Cons: I found the shower difficult to figure out. So did my partner. We have been in lots of hotels and beds and breakfast that have the dual control, 1 flow and 1 heat, but this one stymied us. . . The options were freezing cold or boiling hot. We couldn't find anything in the middle. To be fair we were only there one night and we did not ask the hostess about how to adjust it, and if we had done so perhaps she could have told us.

9.1 Excellent
Pros: great breakfast good location lovely staff spacious room
Cons: bed wasn't the most comfortable
6.3 Good
Pros: About 10 mins drive from Clifden the house is quite well located in the stunning Connemara region. Our twin room was basic but with comfortable beds. Breakfast was good. But we felt our room was very plain and not conducive to sitting in comfortably, we found it hard to get any rapport with the hosts, and it was quite pricey.
Cons: We didn't feel particularly welcomed here unfortunately, unlike everywhere else in Ireland. The room was rather plain and the bath towels were very small.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Sue and John are just great. You immediately feel at home. Sharamore House is the reason why we like B&Bs. You can see and smell the Atlantic Ocean and even in the morning you can taste it while eating the fantastic breakfast variations e.g. with home made, smoked pollock. Clifden is near, but also the little island of Omey. Sue and John know the region very well, they give advice for hiking or fishing tours, restaurants.... It was a perfect place to start our Connemara journey.

Pros: The staff here are excellent. The welcome was warm and friendly and everyone from the receptionist to the waiting staff were top notch. The manager was truly exceptional in his approach to all guests, from his late nite piano session and singalong in the bar to his skills in the restaurant. The food here is 2nd to none with a dessert buffet t hat had my partner drooling!!!! The bed in our room was super comfortable and towels were plentiful and changed regularly. We stay in lots of hotels and we enjoyed every minute here. A real gem!!!!! Great location for seeing the sights!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very relaxed and friendly.
Cons: I thought it a little overpriced. We paid 254 euro b & b and 93 Euro for dinner for two.

Pros: We adored the Abbeyglen Castle Hotel! My teenage daughter totally fell in love with the hotel, the way it really makes you feel like you are staying at a castle. It is all in the details: the furniture, the decorations, the fireplace, the four-poster bed. Also, the complimentary tea and scones in the afternoon and the prosecco reception in the evening are very nice touches. The hotel seemed quite popular with Americans, but I can recommend also to anybody from the continental Europe for an absolutely unique experience.

Pros: An absolute gem. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, particularly as our dog was welcome in all parts other than, quite correctly, the dining room. The food was excellent as was the service, always with a smile and at no time did we ever feel that we were anything other than a valued guest from the moment we were met and warmly greeted by Bruce, the house dog who became a great pal of Rocky ( our dog ) The setting is amazing, to sit out at the front with a drink while watching the sun set over the Atlantic was awesome as was the same scene from the first floor dining/breakfast room. Do hope we get the opportunity to be there again, very soon!
Cons: Having to leave !

We were given homemade cake and fresh milk for our room and the kettle was switched on for us before they left our room! What a fabulous service! Great breakfast selection and delicious. We brought our dog with us and she was made very welcome. We will return as we had such a lovely stay.

Also had plenty supplies for making lots of tea and coffee. It provided us with breakfasts for the two mornings. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! It‘s a really nice place and we enjoyed staying there.
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: Place was comfortable in a good location and parking was easy to find. It had everything we needed including a washing machine.
Cons: There were lots of photos of the apartments on the website that did not reflect the apartment we stayed in. It was older and a lot darker than I expected.
7.5 Good
Pros: The property is very central, only a 5 minute walk to almost everything in the town. Parking on the roadside nearby is fairly easily, and conveniently most payment systems do not start until around midday, leaving you plenty of time to lie-in. The self check-in is very easy. The accommodation is a quaint old-style house and is tastefully decorated and very clean. Our room was very spacious and is kept very clean. There is a nice kitchenette which was handy for us to cook our own vegan meal. a small sitting room, a bedroom and a bathroom. All are a bit small, but together make up a nice size apartment. Our bedroom had a lovely comfy bed, with plenty of pillows, and there wasn't too much noise coming from the main street right outside our window. The bathroom had a decent shower with an ample supply of water. All in all, a decent place to stay.
Cons: 11am is a bit too early for check-out. The price is also a bit steep for what it is. There is not lift to upper level so no good for lesser mobile people. Other guests within the property could be heard quite loudly in the early hours of the morning.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Shower was appalling water pressure dreadful. Very dangerous step down immediately inside front door and I went flying. (No warning sign re step down).Piece of metal sticking out of side of bed which scratched my husbands leg. Only thing for it was location. 80 ,Euro not particularly cheap considering no breakfast and no staff on hand
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and the room is a good size bed was comfortable and you get wifi as well as netflix on the tv.
Cons: The room was tired the wallpaper is peeling off the wall behind the bed cobwebs hanging from the ceiling and broken lightbulb in the ceiling light as well as very dusty. Shower drips all the time too. The toilet seat needs replacing as it slides about when you sit on it.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location right in the centre.
Cons: Nothing.
3.5 Mediocre
Pros: The only positive thing about this property was clean bedding and towels
Cons: The property bore no resemblance to the photos on line. It was run down, smelt damp. Peeling plaster, tiles missing in bathroom. Bulbs missing,. Blinds broken. A disgrace.
