Very good location, in between two tram stops and minutes from main shopping area/Dome. The hotel did not have a no smoking policy.The hotel was being used by visitors to the trade fair so guests were returning at all hours of the night and I was able to small cigarette smoke whilst I was trying to sleep which I found very worrying.

Sunny bright room (on 4th floor) excellent bathroom, good breakfast, and staff helpful and friendly. Great location for shops and local transport system Room rates appeared inflated for exhibition period. This would apply to other hotels I'm sure

The location The staff were the most rude people i have ever met, who lied to me, promised to call me & im still waiting, At 6.30am on Saturday they told me the manager would be in at 7am for me to speak to, by 8.30am i was told she was still not there, I ended up waiting in the hotel until 11.30am when i was told that the manager had phoned the hotel but had not the decency to speak to me just sent a message via the reception staff that she would call me later that day. It is now 3 days later and i have still not heard. This has made me so angry because i was ready to leave the hotel at 8.30am and utilise the time to see Cologne but instead i waited for many hours for nothing. Ive so many complaints about the hotel, by far the worst ive ever stayed in

the breakfast was wonderful, lots of choice and was included in the price Wifi was in my room not really there, I had to go in the hallway to get reception.

The staff was very friendly, helpful and multilingual. The breakfast (French, English or German style) was excellent. The room and public areas were kept very clean. The bed was too hard (thin mattress) for my liking, though this is common in Scandinavia and Germany, I understand.

Excellent staff (for portuguese people you can find a portuguese employee in the breakfast room), good location (15 minutes by foot to the city center and only 2 subway stations till koln central station)
