It was the coldest room we ever stayed in. No windows, no sun, no heating...just freezing. Good luck with taking the cold shower as addition to that.
Staff was very friendly and warm. I stayed 3rd floor, could see great city view.
Not hot shower, they didn’t have heater for the room. Every morning and night very cold. Water stopped in midnight.
It was located in a creepy dark street, and a few men were lurking on the corner. When we got in the hostel, it was dark and looked like an old unkempt house. Check in was quick though but as soon as we got in the room, it was very cold. We had to ask for extra blankets. No toilet paper which we have to ask again. Hot Shower wasn’t working properly and we have to deal with cold shower. We had to leave early as we booked a tour around 4.30am but we couldn’t get a hold of the tour operator so we asked Priscilla to help us. She wasn’t very eager to help, so we had to use the phone to contact the operator ourselves. We didn’t speak good Spanish so we called her and I ask if she could speak to the operator. It took her probably about 3-5mins to get up from her bed as she was laying there all these time we were contacting the operator. Very disappointing and unhelpful. Although that was a bad experience, the lady from the afternoon shift was very helpful when we went back to collect our luggage after the tour. She even booked us a taxi to move to another hostel.
Excellent location of the hostel. Once can walk to the city center (Plaza del Mayor) in a couple of minutes. From the terrace where they serve breakfast, you can get an excellent bird-eye view of the city. If possible ask them for room 8 with attached bathroom. you can view the city even from the bathroom window!! Breakfast is also awesome.
Maybe, they can lit the area near the reception a bit brightly!
Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice views. Tours and transportation services available. If you’re not after luxury, then this hostal will do.
Going up to the hostel is TOUGH even without bags!
