Pros: Location, beautiful scenery.
Cons: The resort was very nice and did meet my expectations however I have stayed in cheap hotels with rooms just as nice as this one. $200 dollars per night compared to $70-$80 dollars per night. If you’re looking for a resort with things to do this is it but for a luxurious room just to rest; well you’re better off saving money and staying at a cheap hotel.
Pros: The staff was friendly and helpful. We even was told were the room was exactly. I’ll be coming back soon.
Pros: The fire pits outside were really nice.
Cons: The arcade room needs major improvement. Half of the games did not work. It literally was a waste of $10.
Pros: Awesome location great food and friendly helpful staff :-)
Pros: That would be everything!
Cons: Not a thing!
Cons: No toiletries were in the bathroom. Only lotion - bathroom fan didn’t shut off Resturant- over priced and not a variety of selection
Cons: The extra taxes and fees.
Pros: Room was clean., staff was friendly
Cons: The lights beside the bed didnt work, the hotel restaurant food was overpriced.
Pros: Beautiful place, excellent staff and rooms were very nice. Great place to visit and just relax
Pros: Large spacious comfortable room, clean comfortable bed, wildlife deer all around, nice buffet dinning, quiet relaxing atmosphere, ski lift ride, local horseback riding, various scheduled evening events for all guests.
Cons: Room was not very clean overall, parking lot was full of pot-holes in the asphalt surface, front desk improperly regestered
Pros: Beautiful scenery and great outdoor activities!
Pros: Balcony view
Cons: Food prices complimentary coffee would be nice/if motel 6 can you could too
Pros: Clean, quiet, located near the falls, it was perfect for exploring the park. The view from the back of the hotel, with chairs to relax was very nice.
Cons: It did not affect me, but the pool was closed for repairs when I was there. I could see how families with small children would be disappointed, but I don't swim in pools.
Cons: The lady who checked me in and then later on was my cashier in the gift shop was very rude
Pros: Rooms ok, views stunning.
Cons: Restaurant a little mediocre
Pros: Did not have breakfast. The state needs to invest more funds, but keep the same era feeling.
Cons: Needs more maintenance.
Pros: Everything was perfect. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, great food in the restaurant, great wifi and TV channel options. Highly recommend a stay at the lodge - the view of the canyon in the back yard and proximity to Lindy Point for a bigger view of the Blackwater Canyon are icing on the cake. This is THE place to go in the summer to get a break from the sweltering heat and humidity.
Pros: Proximity to trails.
Cons: Slow service in restaurant.
Pros: Small. Very old. But well kept
Cons: Rooms... no microwave or no fridge.. very thin walls
Pros: The canyon views and hiking trails are the reason to visit.
Cons: Facilities need a renovation.
Pros: Food very good staff excellent
Pros: nice outside area and the smokehouse, convenient to the hiking trails, beautiful nature
Cons: Need bathroom renovation, a fridge, tennis court missing the net and cannot use
Pros: Beautiful mountain setting
Cons: No complaints
Pros: great location
Cons: wrong look out the window
When you stay at Canaan Village Inn in Davis, you'll be in a state park, within a 15-minute drive of Canaan Valley Ski Resort and Blackwater Falls State Park. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Far from fancy. Just good, clean place to sleep. Convenient to skiing and many other outdoor activities. I stay there frequently. Satellite TV and WiFi. Easy check-in and -out.
Pros: I like that the staff was extremely helpful with giving me and my family places to go that was around in the area. Knowing what will be a good fit or looking up something for us. They help with directions to get to what sounded best.
Cons: The hotel is in the middle of everything around. So there will be a drive when staying.
Pros: Looked to be built in the 70's old style but great place to stay on a budget. Girlfriend and I went for a Christmas vacation to Ski at TimberLine ski resort. For the skiing the snow was terrible, icy. For the hotel well taken care of, bed was comfortable, and hot showers. If you don't need luxury stay here. Oh and pets are welcome, exactly what I was looking for. Friendly Staff. Munchies within walking distance.
Cons: Outdated appliances. TV stations were fuzzy.
Pros: Great location. Friendly staff. Can't beat the price. The room had a huge bathroom and the view was incredible.
Cons: The beds aren't very comfortable. There are no curtains on the windows. If you're like me don't count on sleeping in, blinds don't block sunlight.
