Amazing views!! Great location with a 5 minute cab ride to town. The service is incredible and you are treated like royalty. Doesn't feel crowded even though it was completely booked. The staff is completely committed to ensure you are comfortable. The pool is absolutely beautiful and we loved the gym. Rooms are nice but not over the top. Very safe resort with guards at the gate. There are two sides to the resort, a quiet side and a side for the younger crowd. Even though we had the quieter side, some pool music would be nice. The landscape and views of lands end are incredible. Food is very good and plentiful as were the drinks. Pool side service was great and very easy to keep your drink full!! We will stay at the Riu again next trip. You can not swim on this beach. It is cool to watch the massive waves crash on shore though. The buffet selection for breakfast and lunch gets tired after a few days. They need another towel station at the quieter pool. It was quite a hike to go get towels exchanged. I booked an ocean view room and got a garden view. Since the hotel was booked, they couldn't move us for a day but when they did, we got the best rooms in the resort!

The physical site is amazing. Genuinely beautiful beach and fantastic view.Food was terrific too. Room was a bit dingy and old. Certainly not 4 stars. I speculate that larger rooms, or rooms in newer buildings are more appealing.
All inclusive for two. Golf course is amazing. Do not waste time doing time share your.
The view from our balcony was amazing. We even saw whales from our balcony. The property is built on a cliff so you get great views from almost any room. The spa is amazing (a little pricey). There are several restaurants and everyone is super helpful. It is hard to walk around the property so most people have to use golf carts which are noisy and produce nasty gas fumes. I highly recommend to get the all inclusive option because otherwise the restaurants on the property are pricey.
FANTASTIC. SHUTTLE TO SISTER PROPERTIES WAS VERY NICE for a change of pace. Carts were a minor pain. Even with all inclusive we had to sign receipts for everything.
Ocean view clean and nicely furnished rooms but the part I didn't like it: we had a stormy day & there was not enough indoor activities for such a day. Also in the buffet they aren't using glass shields and any spit out of mouth can be inside food trays

The views were spectacular ! The food especially breakfast was not that good. We had breakfast at multiple restaurants and we were not happy. Also, the distance from one building to a pool for instance was insane.
Loved the attentive staff, excellent and tasty food, beautiful resort. The time share salespeople were professional but persistent. Since we booked the resort as a hotel option did not appreciate the persistent requests to attend a welcome breakfast and had to be very firm/rude in order to avoid the requests.
Overall it's a great resort. There was a variety of food and alcohol available all day. Lots of pools. Even though it seemed the resort was full there was always a place to go that was more or so private. Staff is welcoming and works hard to please. It's a large facility and unless you have a good excuse to leave into town you really don't need to. We rented a car and drove all over the place but we were always looking forward to coming home to our safe gated palace by the end of the day. The frat boys and sorority girls running around inebriated adds to the entertainment but can get old. It doesn't last long though seeing as after about 20min of drinking they can't handle their liquor anymore and seem to disappear for the rest of the night.(maybe somewhere into the toilet). Overall no one bothered anyone and was always friendly. I never heard or saw any fights. In Mexico people seem to want a tip just for saying hello to you. So choose wisely don't be afraid to look cheap. Yea they're poor but so are you Wink wink. Blow and Mary J are abundant. Not in the resort itself but surrounding beaches. Up to you if that's good or bad. Tons of pos timeshare cockroaches. Stomp them out and kill them before they get to you. The resort will actually give you a lecture on how to avoid them, so listen closely.. Unless you like throwing your money away for the next 15-30years on something you prob will never use up to you. Overall nothing bad to say about the resort itself. It's guarded and gated and that is for a reason. Enjoy.
Quality of staff and service was outstanding! Nice pools and ocean view. Food was the same everyday at the buffet and in most of the restaurants, not a lot of variety.
Great hotel. Everyone bagged on the buffet food but as far as eating at a buffet for 5 days goes, it was great. Overall can't even tell the hurricane hit. Next time we go to cabo well be stayin here
The staff was very friendly, food was good, and the resort was always clean. The room we had needs to be revamped . The television is old, the bed was uncomfortable, sheets looked old and felt rough, the bathroom towels felt like sand paper
The staff at Riu Sante Fe was amazing and the property was very large with lots of space and swimming pools and restaurants. Overall the buffet food was good with lots of selection but the liquors are pretty standard, low quality with no selection of beer other than dos equis. Lots of bars and places to drink though The food was mediocre, the buffet seemed to have the most selections and the dining restaurants were ok - steakhouse has a great view if you can get in early to see the sunset.
Middle-aged group that stayed here and would go back. Don't be fooled by the bad reviews! It's in good shape, but beds & clenliness are my only complaint for the money we paid. Good is ok at the buffet. But the restruants are great. Steakhouse is the BEST!
The staff was super helpful, extremely close to the Cabo Del sol golf course. You can jump in a shuttle and be at the Ocean/Desert course in 7 minutes. As an individual, I ate meals at other hotels because I had friends in town, so I'm not sure if the premium I paid for it was worth it. The pool area fills up quickly (I think this is the case in most resorts.) But you have to wake up early to grab a chair next to the pool. Lastly, the INTERNET SPEED IS HORRIBLE. I got .2 MB / seconds download when I was able to connect and I was bounced off a lot. I intended to work while I was down here, and came home a day early because I could not use the internet.
The grounds were beautiful, food was excellent and the staff were all friendly and helpful. Could have used air conditioning in the lobby and at least a couple of the restaurants on the property.
The resort is beautiful, clean and has amazing views. Options are abundant with top shelf drinks and quality restaurant options. We thoroughly enjoyed time spent at the beach, and all poil options. No dislikes, but a suggestion for improvementwould be adding more night events with dancing and music throughout the common areas. The staff were very attentive and any minor issues were resolved immediately.
everybody was top on there job!!!!! they don't take American money and they don't give the best exchange rate at the hotel......I got up to 1310 pesos in town and 1250 in the hotel..which meant anything over the all inclusive price was costly..also was offered to take part in timeshare and the people were rude and we fet pressured....
I stayed during Thanksgiving weekend. Happy that this hotel is one of the few four or five stars hotel that opened after Hurricane during Thanksgiving. Facial was great. They used very nice product on me. Wireless connection was fine. Because this is not a big hotel, and not having a lot of activities organized by the hotel, the wi fi becomes important. I am disappointed as this hotel being rated at 4-5 stars in many web sites. The room is very small. There were swimming pools but they were so cold that noone wanted to go into them. And yet the weather was so hot. There were just not enough umbellas next to the swimming pools. One can easily get sun burn if you do not keep putting sunblocks every hour. It was not very fun when it was so hot when water in the pools were so cold. Restaurants service was very slow. We ordered breakfast room service one morning. It never came. For your reference, all of my ratings ( cleaniness, comfort, facilities, location etc) are rated against all other 4 or 5 stars all inclusive hotels i stayed in Caribean.
The location on the marina is very good for boat activities, restaurants, and shopping. You can walk anywhere from this central location. The staff, accommodations and security are also very good. Can be noisy at times.
In the heart of the Marina, is both good as a lot of events/ activities close by but the flip side you'll be close to a army of folks trying to sell you stuff, trips & Time shares etc. Pool staff are good. They use a wrist band system so be ready to wear that for the week. Had an issue with the magnetic keys were I had to get replacements pretty much every day!

The rooms were clean, other than the front desk the staff was friendly and helpful. location is nice for marina traffic and getting to inner city shopping as well as getting to beach. included breakfast buffet was nice although lacking a bit of daily variation. Front desk refused to honor price of extra child per reservation. online said extra $10 per day, front desk wanted to charge $100 extra per day. front desk said if they had an email or call they would honor $10 charge. after an hour on the phone to get a supervisor to agree to talk to front desk, front desk refused to talk to them and refused to honor $10 charge offering instead $30 per day. the room they gave us then was behind/above the pool/bar kitchen. so 5am every morning we got to listen to staff prepping breakfast, pots, pans, conversations. fold out bed was wrapped in plastic and had no bedding. took 2 hours to get bedding after calling 3 times, not to mention the mattress itself, I've had waffles that were thicker than this and probably would have been more comfortable to sleep on. Tesoro rules prohibit external food/drink in rooms so we were not allowed to bring our groceries into rooms, even though we had a kitchenette and staff at elevators check suspicious bags before letting you up. also states that the fridge in room is for honor bar items ONLY - if you remove items from the fridge (beer/soda), even if you don't open them you will be charged. if you put other items in fridge you will be charged. will not be returning at any price.
First day was put into a lower level room than we paid for. Room was up a narrow stairway with now 2nd way out. Big danger during a fire.
The room was updated with uber comfy bed and amazing view of the harbor. Staff was amazing. Location is perfect...by the harbor with lots of shopping and restaurants and activities all within 2-5 minutes walking distance. Food at La Vista is very good. The pool and git tub overlooking the harbor is cool. We had an issue with the in room safe and maintenance was there both times within 5 minutes. No complaints from me.

Location is excellent - you can walk in right off of the marina. Breakfast is ok. Pool area was nice. Staff is friendly and attentive plus they are very helpful in assisting you to make arrangements (for transportation, information, etc). Close to downtown area where there are lots of night clubs as well as bars and strip clubs. Lots of decent bands playing at the restaurants and bars. Also, the hotel is close to activities such as glass bottom boat tours, parasailing, jet skis, etc. You can see beautiful fish and sea lions swimming while walking along the marina. They offer a shuttle service to the airport which is cheaper than calling a cab. No washcloths in bathroom (make sure to bring your own washcloth or a wash poofy). Paid extra for wifi to use on our cell phones and it was incredibly slow. Stay was "uncomfortable" - you pretty much are forced to either hang out in your room or wonder out to the marina where you will spend money and get harassed by solicitors every 5 feet. We visited the pool area in the evening and it was not crowded at all but not sure what it is like during the day. Layout of the hotel is a little confusing - it was difficult to try to find the pool area.

The location is the best part. You're right on the marina and can take a $5 water taxi to the beach. Plenty of places to eat and shop in the Marina area. The property itself is better than I expected in Mexico. Staff was very friendly and the property was clean. The pool was great. Waiter kept our glasses full. It's located 3 blocks from Cabo Wabo which is perfect since we came down for Sammy's Birthday Bash. The food options on site are all average. Everything was good but not great. The concierge was great at helping us plan a sunset sailboat cruise. It was perfect! We plan on staying here again. The food was average.
Friendliness of staff that helped my husband and I out. The guys at the bar at 5pm telling us that its happy hour. Concierge that confirmed all of our activities as well as rescheduling them so we can worry less about our vacation. One of the best vacation we have taken in a long time. Toilet in our room couldn't stop leaking even though we told them daily. Bees that showed up on the pankakes and fench toast for breakfast. Charging us incorrectly for the mini fridge and didn't stock the big bottles of water in the fridge toward middle of vacation

Also Diego and Juan our poolside waiters made sure we always had adrink in our hands! We always enjoy white night great entertainment and fun! Close to town rooms are dated, the beach picture has to be 30 years old, difficult to regulate the AC. Should have theme night at the club. Another restaurant for dinner maybe hibachi Japanese?

The staff was super friendly, the facilities have a lot to offer and the location was great. The shower could have been a little cleaner. The room we stayed in was one of the older not newly renovated. Our friends were in a newer room and it was gorgeous.
Scenery No ocean access
We had not been all that impressed with the Cabo area in the past, but really liked the location of this resort for easy access and views of the Marina, as well as the private ocean beach and proximity to downtown. We generally prefer the Carribean side of of the Yucatan Peninsula for the clear blue waters there, but this vacation definitely had us re-considering the Cabo area for future destinations, and especially liked the very tip for location. A very good value and experience overall! The food and service were good, and the amenities and resort overall were far better than average, but I would not say necessarily upscale.
Loved the tranquility, pool staff was friendly, liked proximity to downtown. Enjoyed many pools and night club. The food was not very good. Some of the bartenders were not very friendly.

Great location. Something was stolen from our room twice. We kept seeing roaches in the room. The beds are too firm. You can hear all conversations in the hallway.

Everything about this property and the team that make each day as relaxed as you desire, is tremendous. Numerous restaurants and a great beach on the property removes any need to ever leave, even though they are perfectly located to even more exceptional dinning like Edith's. Everyone is friendly and courteous... we have come here as a family annually for five years and each year everyone raves how it is always more improved than the year prior.

Close to the beach, good pools, nice view and balconies. Shower water fluctuated hot then cold regularly, got haggled by the hotel right as we were checking in for a time share deal, and you could hear near by conflicting music from nearby bars.
The rooms were very comfortable. Staff was excellent. Unfortunately, the location of the resort is such that they are a few tacky vendors located just in the front obscuring a good portion of the ocean front view. The associated noise can also be an issue.
The beach area needed some extra security and reserving cots in the morning was an issue.
It's clean, modern, gorgeous, welcoming, and fun. The location is absolutely perfect: far enough away to be peaceful, but close enough to walk to the party downtown or on the beach. If I could change one thing, it'd be that the people who sell their timeshares would be less assertive. But really, they take "no" for an answer and don't get in your way.
The views are spectacular. The location is excellent. The size of rooms are extremely comfortable. They charge you for absolutly everything. Be prepared to pay six dollars for complimentary Starbucks coffee, use of the qym, and wifi!

Casa Dorada is a beautiful resort. The well-appointed one bedroom suite was very spacious with a fabulous view of the pools and beach. The breakfasts were fresh and delicious and reasonably priced. The hotel staff was friendly and courteous, although not always well organized (ex-only one ping pong ball for the whole resort caused the ping pong table to be off limits several days when the ball got lost). The biggest drawback of Casa Dorada was the close proximity to Mangos Bar. We were unable to sleep with our door open due to how loud and annoying Mangos was, even later in the evening. Even during the day when we took a leisurely stroll along the beach the highly annoying "DJ" at Mangos was often screaming about winning free shots. Despite the fabulous hotel, I would think twice about going back to Casa Dorada with my family due to the location. If you're looking for a spring break feel all year round, the location is perfect for you.

I will never stay anywhere in Cabo but here! Came with just my husband but would be a nice place to bring the kids as well. There was thought put into every single detail of the resort. The service was second to none. I literally don't have a single complaint, except everything was so perfect that I'm missing it already! True luxury and relaxation. Worth every penny. Loved everything

We really liked the variety of pools to choose from and the daily entertainment. The Wi-Fi was not good and having to pay for the fitness center.
Staff at The Ridge had a very bad attitude and we're not very friendly.

We loved the resort and grounds especially at night. It is so beautiful and relaxing. We also liked how the pools were situated and the different options for pools. We loved the wait staff. We really liked the location. It made everything easily accessible, and we were really able to enjoy Cabo. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. I didn't like the attitude I received from the woman that was to welcome us to the hotel but was really trying to get us to a timeshare presentation. First of all, we know the game that is played, which is they tell you it is something else, but that is what it ends up being. Why should I be given attitude for my preferences? I chose to spend 9 days there and spend our money there, but it didn't seem appreciated when I checked in..Secondly, we asked about renting a car twice while I was there. First time, the girl seemed disinterested in explaining and gave us a rate sheet to look at. Second time, the Concierge said someone would call us back in few minutes but never did.
Playa Grande is an amazing hotel with so many luxuries. Great food, staff and atmosphere and we'll definitely be back. Gym, mini golf and wifi fees seem unnecessary.
Pools were clean and large. Food was excellent. Pullout couch was terrible. Buffet breakfast was good, but too expensive.
Good service and beautiful accommodations. You cannot swim in the beach and there was only one restaurant open during our stay.
Great service. Great pools/hot tubs. Room was very comfortable. The fitness center was only free for room owners & timeshare owners. I didn't want to have to pay to use the fitness center. Also, the wifi would only work on the right side of the room (the side facing the pool/restaurant).
Check-in was quick and painless, and included a free upgrade to a master suite in Building P right by the ocean (thanks!). Pool waiters were prompt and attentive with fantastic drinks and courteous service. My room was clean and quiet (YES!) and the bed was comfortable. I was staying solo but traveling with a large wedding group, and they took exceptional care of us all. WiFi worked. The wedding setup and service was exceptional. Mauricio took care of our group all day at the pool and during the wedding dinner. Great service! This has been my preferred Cabo resort for years, and it lived up to my high expectations yet again. This was trip #13 to Cabo for me, and it's one of my best trips yet. I was unable to secure a late checkout, which made my last day less smooth and relaxing than I'd like. Small courtesy suites for early arrivals and late departures would be ideal (other resorts in the area do offer them).
The resort is pristine and really luxurious. The staff was extremely friendly and went out of their way to make sure our stay was enjoyable. They upgraded our room for free!

Never got to stay there After paying for the hotel and airfare, and surprising my partner with the vacation, Amoma.com informs me that the hotel will not accept my reservation. I was forced to choose another hotel I was not happy with. That was FALSE ADVERTISEMENT.
Rooms well appointed and spacious, even studio. Beautiful pools. Walking distance to town, but not in town. Staff very courteous, and put up with my marginal Spanish. Fully stocked w/ pots, dishes, nice coffee maker etc. All rooms face pools & ocean (that we saw). Great gym. Listed in approx. order of importance: Restaurants serve almost all American cuisine - not what we want in Mexico - need to add some good / local / distinctive Mexican cuisine (not just ceviche)!! Has beach front, but surf is too strong to allow swimming, and not quite wide enough to allow laying out on beach. Lighting in room (kitchen area of studio) could be better. The piped in TV is a Canadian system, which is OK, but when you're paying top $$ for place that caters to Americans, an American TV system would be appreciated. Drink prices are a little high (though you don't go here for bargain prices :-)).
Food was pretty decent given the cost for an all inclusive. Location was nice, rooms were ok and facilities like the pools were basic, but acceptable. Customer service was awful and they seemed to want to bleed you for things like tips, but the worst is when they charged us $80 per day extra since our reservation was mistakenly made for one instead of two, but their going rate that day for two people was only $30 more per day. They made no effort to try and make this right and even let us check in with our one person reservation before notifying us of the issue so that we couldn't modify our reservation before they stuck us with the fee. I felt it was shisty and they were holding us hostage. Scammers!

Great location, sweet service people (who will soon be out of jobs). I got a great rate but more than $200 you should go elsewhere. Great sushi..be sure to see Armando and make friends with him...you will love this guy. There is the heavy hand of an oppressive management everywhere. The service people are great, but there are shaking in their boots, worried that they will violate any of the numerous rules and regulations. I only paid $182 incl tax for 2 people all incl. That is about the MAX you should pay here. Any more and you will be upset. There are panning to tear down this hotel in 2 years 2 further destroy this magnificent setting with yet another behemoth Las Vegas style mega hotel. It will make you cry...it will soon be an unlivable ghetto. Also, you will wake up every morning, including Sunday to the sound of construction and loud voices from 830am through out the day. Pretty depressing overall. Food is passable but not good. Only one restaurant option
The price for the facilities was not reflective of the age of the hotel. The facilities seemed like it was from the 70's but the price was for something in the 2000's. The beach was not open for swimming either. There was not shuttle to downtown CABO. This seemed impractical since it was probably about 1.5 miles to downtown. You were forced to get a cab for $8 or circle around for downtown parking in a rental car. The staff at the front desk seemed to be perturbed that i was checking in.
Sunset Being nickle and dimed for everything. Eg not informing us it's $30 extra for an additional person also wifi is $16/day. I feel as though if I'm paying $200+ per night it would not only include wifi but assume a minimum of two persons. Front desk staff was extremely slow and seemed disengaged. Overall, not a four star resort like they are listed. Would definitely not recommend anyone spending their hard earned money at this place.
It is a small resort, easy to get around. Quite. No trouble getting reservations for dinner. No problem when you are late for your reservations. How accommodating the staff are. There was no seating on the actual beach. Nice pools but currently you only have your towel to sit at the beach.

The staff was very good. They helped us get a nice room at the front desk. The pool and grounds and restaurant staff was very accommodating and paid great attention to us. Very Impressed. I requested my reservation with Kayak for 2 adults in my room, and some how the final print out with "Solmar All Inclusive "only had listed 1 adult in my room and charged me extra for my guest $60 each day to stay in my room. And the room was not included to be all inclusive, as stated in the name of the resort on the reservation "Solmar All Inclusive" ----This also was the case with guests checking in at the same time, who we did not know, who had used a different reservation process, they were charged additional for the second person and did not know it was not all inclusive.. ----The front desk staff, did try to help us... Obviously not there fault. They explained that if we paid for a more expensive room, we would not get charged for the extra guest, either way we ended up having to spend much more than we agreed when we booked and paid with visa the room on line. Very Disappointing. The entire time we were there we were surrounded by construction both at the entry of the resort and tractors on the beach in front of our view. The work began early in the morning waking us up every morning, jack hammers tearing up concrete and large tractors moving bolders and palm trees all day long. This was not disclosed on the reservation. Very Disappointed. The view was nice, but the rooms were very outdated. We stayed 2 nights at Solmar to visit friends staying there for a special occasion. The staff every where was wonderful but we would not return to this property. They did not disclose that the property was in major construction, the room was dated, and the price charged before arriving was not at all the price I had to pay to stay there..

Great service, resort was lovely and staff was very friendly. We had multiple incidents of cold food. Very poor service at the French restaurant and bad fish at the seafood restaurant. It's disappointing when you are at a higher end all inclusive to have so many issues with the food.
We had my daughter's wedding here. It was fantastic! we have been to many beach resorts from the US and The Philippines. We let my daughter and son in law plan the whole event with Marseilla. She did a fantastic job! Each of our guest were so impressed with the rooms, staff, food and beautiful scenery and the wedding itself. In fact, if the newlyweds allow it, the whole wedding party wants to go back for their first anniversary! Nancy
I thought the hotel was beautiful and clean. When we arrived the hotel reservations were ready for us and as we checked in we were given a hand exfoliation and a guided tour of the premises. I couldn't have been more impressed. The restaurant was delicious and the service impeccable. Outstanding spa with massage therapists that are very well trained. The pool side staff were friendly, and top notch. Our towels were laid out on our chairs for us as soon as we arrived each day. My husband and I would tell everyone about this hotel and we plan to go back.
Room was really nice. We had the suite and there was plently of room. This is hotel is a residential type resort. Owners own several weeks here and it is considered a private residence. We were pretty much roped into a timeshare presentation for the hotel next door. Only got a free breakfast, a gold card (saved us about $10 - not a big deal) and we were asked to pay the tip at breakfast. Definitly not worth our time but couldn't seem to get out of it - they were very persistent. The first person Brenda was nice about it, but then she brought in the 'big guns' who I disliked very much. I did not feel he was making true statements. Brenda finally saw I was getting upset about the whole thing and decided to cut us loose. It was hard getting chairs around the pool. I'd recommend getting there early in the morning if you want to sit poolside. All of the people were very nice and helpful. The tour desk gave us about a 20% discount on the activities we booked with the hotel. That was an unexpected but great! Also, we were very happy with the recommendations from the tour desk. We ate at the poolside cafe for lunch most days. The food was very good. They even come out to the chairs on the beach to take orders. I really liked that. The maids came very late each day - around 5pm, which made things very inconvenient when freshening up for the evening. The hotel is about a mile away from town. It is a safe walk and a great way to burn off the margarita calories. The bed was hard - hated it.
A gorgeous facility in the perfect location! The pool was gorgeous. The view was spectacular and the location was perfect. We could walk to town on the beach but we weren't in the middle of the spring break crowds. We ate at the poolside restaurant which was great. There weren't many; other options. We traveled with two teenage kids and we booked many activities through the hotel. Our only complaint was we waited three hours for our luggage to be brought up and when I went to get it , it was still on the street.
It is a really nice place. The personnel are very pleasant. Considering a long flight, with all the time share sales people hounding you at the airport, a long shuttle ride, all we wanted to do was get into our swim suits and start enjoying our vacation. Check in was quite slow, and the room was not ready! The time share purchase presentation at the place is an option. It is worth it to go to it. You will receive a 'gold card'. It does get you 15-20% off food and beverage. Even though we where offered much better deals at the airport and walking around. Be aware, there are time share sales people all over! Food at La Casona is very expesive, and just ok tasting. But convient. There is the supermarket across the street , with a bakery/lucheon. Buy your beer their and bring it up to your place. The beach is nice and clean. The local beach salespeople are a hassel also. Some offer you 'anything you need' , meaning drugs. Becareful walking aroung town, which is about 20 minute walk. Walking into town during the day is safe, but I wouldn't recommend it at night. Taxi is $*, expensive for a 1 mile walk, and the drivers don't have change very often. If you go SCUBA diving, go see Oscar at Deep Blue, and Cabo Adventures for whale watching on the Zodiacs. Don't get me wrong. Villa la Estancia and Cabo is beatiful and fun, you just have to be careful.
Excellent concierge service. Limited ocean view. Would visit again as the price is reasonable. We were traveling with two other families and the other two got upgrades.
Staying at Villa La Estancia was a great experience. The rooms were neat, clean, spacious, and comfortable! The outdoor grounds and pools were absolutely gorgeous. The staff was very friendly and accomodating! Villa La Estancia is a great place to stay in Los Cabos!
accomodation are gorgeous, but it is all about money. The all inclusive plan is a joke. You could only choose from 2 resteraunts and there was only 4 items on the menu you could have. The good stuff was extra. Gratuities added at will. Would never go back!
Would I go back? No. Every local every 10 feet hawks timeshares, trinkets, boat rides, etc. Airport lobby guys with official looking badges offer help only to segue into a sales pitch. Beaches are beautiful - when you can see the water between the 2 or 3 cruise ships, dozen yachts, and myriad skiffs, speedboats, and jet skis. Don?t swim off the beach. Scuba diving locally is a lawless meat market of dive boats, glass bottom boats, kayaks, and jet skis. Underwater, life is abundant. It's a paradise overwhelmed with uncontrolled development and tourism. Too bad.
This is our second stay this year at Villa La Estancia and our fourth visit to Cabo. I highly recommend this hotel. I have an 18 year old daughter and she loved it as well. Getting the two bedroom allowed her and a friend to have their privacy (as well as us!) Great room great staff, great food. I cannot say enough good things. Kudos to Ramon and Leo at the pool, Jimmy at the front desk and all the staff. We loved it and are already planning our next trip!
We had the best time at La Estancia. The suite was gorgeous and spacious. We loved every minute spent in our room and the pool/beach.
Beauiful hotel, amazing food at La Casona, great room, great service, beautiful pool, had a wonderful time. It was just me and my husband and we really enjoyed our stay. It was close to town so we could easily shop and eat in town. The beach was nice and the peddlers weren't quite as aggressive as in Mazatlan.
From the moment we arrived we were welcomed. We had a problem with our refridgerator and they gave us a free room upgrade to a suite. Definitely get a suite if you are staying here. The suites are like a home away from home, with a full kithchen, dining room, living room, washer and dryer, two bathrooms, and a master room... they are perfect for a family traveling with children. In the living room is a couch bed and in the master room is a Cali King size bed and it is superior in my opionion (10 sleep number if you know what I mean.) The Pool is amazing, with a bar and dinning at your finger tips. One of three Jacuzzi's over looks the ocean with a bon fire right next to it, which you can enjoy late night. Overall this is a great hotel, you never have to leave because they have shopping and a market on the property. Check it out you wont regret it!!! I am going again in March!
people were friendly and helpful and there pool is very nice
Rooms were fine - nothing extravagant but very comfortable, clean and new. Staff was always exceptional. Food was good. Their lounge policy was offensive. They reserved about a hundred of the prime lounges (basically all which had an ocean view) for the "Vista Club" members. They remained empty and unused all day long but were not available for other guests. People were frustrated and angry about it. Ruined the good feelings about the hotel. I probably would not return because of it.
Pool area and rooms were nice. The location is a long way from downtown cabo but close to San Jose and the airport. When at full capacity the pool would be over crowded. It was fine during the week but closer to the weekends it was hard to find a chair.
Nice family resort, nice pools, nice restaurants, nice aquarium at entrance, great personalized check inn It was too noisy, you can not sleep since you hear all people coming back from party when walking through the corridors
We originally did not stay at the Hilton but our flight was cancelled due to Tropical Storm Javier. We booked the Hilton from the Airport and headed over. The place is beautiful. Most things including beach was not open but the room was beautiful and comfortable. We will be back again soon and actually get to stay. Sad we didn't get to enjoy all the hotel had to offer because of the storm. We will be back
After careful consideration of all the choices in cabo, my friend and I decided on this resort. We wanted to be away from the 'spring break' mentality and chose this exclusive resort. We felt like royalty every time we came back into the property . We were greeted by name and asked if we needed anything . They made all of our dinner reservations and arranged for transportation. The food was amazing and the staff was top notch. I will stay there again!
This is an incredible, intimate resort for romance and celebrating something special. The staff bends over backwards to take care of you and make you feel like your business is truly valued. They want to make you and Esperanza-goer for life! We experienced an uncharacteristically torrential downpour during the middle of our trip and the staff did everything they could to make the forced indoor time pleasant. We will definitely go back.
Their staff was amazing!!!!!! World class service! They treated my girlfriend and I with the up most respect and courtesy. Very friendly and helpful staff, who their first intention was to cater to your every want and need. I will definitely be staying at the marina fiesta again! Loved the location and the varieties of places it had to eat and enjoy a drink. Thank you to the entire staff! Loved everything!
Relocated to a nicer pool/marina view suite with a terrific location. First suite was unsatisfactory -- not a nautical view as advertised, and next to garbage machine? or other heavy equipment, very noisy all night. I would avoid "nautical jr suite" and pick at least a deluxe junior, it's much much nicer.
The Hotel Mgr re- accommodated us at sister Hotel 20 mins out of town . The fact that booking through a second party (LIke Kayak) Gave me no priority or power in securing my room on a busy weekend out of the country . They basically told me my reservation couldn't be honored as soon as I walked in ???!!!!!
The location was very convenient to the marina, restaurants, and shopping. The staff was great, from the front desk to the housekeeping staff to the servers and bartenders, everyone was great and friendly. Food was decent as we're the drinks.
Great location and the restruante food was really good and accommodating. We brought fish we caught and they did a fish fry for our big group of 30+. Excellent customer service at the hotel also.
Upgrade the room to a one-bed on the 4th floor. It has three balconies, one of them also has a jacuzzi. The view was truly fantastic. Staff on the front desk were very rude. We booked the nautical room since we saw the pic above has a beautiful view of the harbor. But, when we checked in, they only had room on the 1st floor with a corner pool view. Staff told us that they sell the room type, not the view. That was just rediculous - which hotel doesn't sell the view???
The staff is excellent and the room is very nice. We will be back !
The location on the marina is great. You are greeted by pushy women that try to get you to listen to a timeshare presentation. They continue to hound you the duration of the stay. Front desk staff speak good English, slow to check in, check out and provide change. Location is great. Upon checkout we were asked to pay for the pillow case that had two drops of blood from my husband's bloody nose. They held up our check out process to bring it down and show us in front of other guests! I would not recommend staying here!
We could not view the nice homes in the surrounding hills and see the marina from the hilltop.
Such a great location and staff! Nothing I didn't like!
