Set on the East Coast of Malaysia, Tanjong Jara Resort has everything needed to provide a tranquil, relaxing vacation. The area has so much history and many ancient traditions that are brought into the resort through the staff and its practices. Guests will experience a stay like they’ve never had before.
Tanjong Jara Resort has 100 rooms. The décor and furnishings are luxurious with materials like wood from the local area and fabric. All rooms have free WiFi, coffee makers, flat-screen TVs with satellite programming, minibars, climate control, and powered safes. Rooms can be chosen with sea view or on the beach. Some are semi-detached and look very traditionally Malaysian on the outside. Inside though, the rooms are all very soothing and elegant with modern amenities throughout.
The resort has a couple of restaurants. Di Atas Sungei, which translates to Above the River, has a beautiful dining room that is above the river. There are gorgeous views of the South China Sea. It’s open for breakfast and dinner each day. Nelayan, which translates to Fisherman, serves Western and Asian menu items. Teratai Terrace is out by the pool and has a selection of light items like salads and other fare. Guests can also book meals served completely private for an intimate experience.
Guests as Tanjong Jara Resort will never be bored. The beach is right in front of them. There are two outdoor pools. There are also two tennis courts. Guests wanting to get out and explore will find Golf Desa Dungun, Bukit Bauk Forest Reserve, and Paka Market all fairly close to the property.
