Consider the Room Size
Several guests mentioned that the small rooms are indeed very compact, so if space is a priority, it might be worth considering the standard room for a bit more room to move around.
Opt for a Room with a View
While the small rooms without windows are budget-friendly, guests highlighted that the views from the standard room facing Edinburgh Castle were impressive, so it might be worth the upgrade for a more scenic experience.
Be Mindful of Noise
Some guests noted that the walls are quite thin, and noise from neighboring rooms can be heard, so light sleepers may want to consider bringing earplugs or requesting a quieter room location.
Check the Wi-Fi Speed
Several guests mentioned that the free Wi-Fi can be slow, so if reliable internet is essential, it might be worth considering purchasing a local SIM card for faster connectivity.
Plan for Parking
If arriving by car, it's important to note that the hotel offers off-site parking for a fee, so guests may want to factor this into their travel plans and budget.
Bring Toiletries
While the hotel provides some amenities, such as body soap and towels, guests noted that additional toiletries like shampoo and conditioner may need to be brought or purchased.
Consider the Check-in Process
Some guests experienced delays during check-in, so it might be helpful to manage expectations and plan accordingly, especially during peak arrival times.
Be Aware of the No-Smoking Policy
As the hotel strictly enforces a no-smoking policy, guests who smoke should be mindful of this regulation and plan accordingly.
