Good service, foodand location Atmosphere a bit formal
We were delighted with the excellent food and attentive, courteous staff. Our bedroom was a good size with good amenities and an excellent scenic view The guest lounge was very comfortable with a welcoming open fire in the evening.
Excellent and attentive staff; fabulous food in the restaurant, high quality room, a romantic boutique hotel. It lacked atmosphere because we were the only guests!
Overall I could not find any fault with this hotel, except maybe the room could have been a little bit bigger.
Good food, pleasant staff, furnishings very good. We were overcharged by £127 for the stay; once we rang and pointed out the mistake they quickly refunded the credit card used.
a professional and warm welcome and treatment
Room was very small and overpriced dinner was good but again felt it was all overpriced there was no info in the room and we could not get the Internet to work all rather disappointing
We saw in the room book that some quick meals could be served with the room service but after having chosen what we wanted and called the reception they've told us that this couldn't be done because they had too much to do.
The food and the service. the setting, the excellent attention to detail, well appointed rooms.
excellent stay with lots of recreation possibilities
No lift, room was on the 3nd. floor (steep set of stairs) BUT the staff took up our bags! this was a big +
Convenience to ferry, restaurants and train station was excellent. The view from our room of the water and nearby islands was spectacular. Wifi was limited to a small space near the front desk.
Comfortable, clean, friendly staff Meals rather average and a little expensive
The hotel is very confortable, quiet and stylishly decorated. The food is outstanding and the staff are very welcoming. The Hotel has stunning views and beautiful grounds
The wonderful surroundings, spectacular scenery and ambience of the hotel. N/A
Beautiful, renovated country house in a delightful setting within its own grounds. Friendly and welcoming hotel staff. Ample car parking space on site. Extensive well maintained gardens and country walks. Modern luxuriously appointed bedrooms with all facilities. No smoking policy throughout the building. Served breakfast, rather than Continental style self-service. Adequate choice, including fish and haggis. The gourmet style dinner, though wide ranging in choice and variety, was rather expensive at £44+ pp.
The food was an 11 out of 10. The best food I have eaten. Service second to none. Great experience and wish we had of stayed more than one night. The food and service from the staff was terrific. Made our stay very warm and cosy. Nice fire place too to sit infront of while you had a drink before dinner.
Lovely hotel staff very friendly None
the room was stunning the food was totally over priced £44.95 each for dinner
It's a beautiful place and it is very well run, if one can judge from one night's stay. My one beef is that a boutique hotel in the Highlands is always going to yank one back to the metropolis, as a majority of the clients there are city types who travel with their city gear. My bedroom reflected this. Not a typical Highland experience. But good local cuisine.
We loved it. Stayed three nights in late September. Our room with the four-post best was beautiful. Breakfast and dining area is great. Food and service excellent. No complaints what so ever.
The hotel was extremely overpriced.
Hotel Employees were WONDERFUL--couldn't have been more helpful, competent, efficient, friendly, and professional. Food/service-excellent; touring/driving advice-excellent A lift of some kind for carrying heavy bags upstairs; a VERY small concession to purchase Drambuie to take home; hooks in the bathroom/on a wall; a makeup mirror; brighter lamp lighting--all would have been welcome for a bit of added comfort.
Everything, good supper and good breakfast One morning personel were not too smiley! Not tpo gappy yo be working that morning !
