Excellent location...beautiful views from rooftop restaurant..friendly and helpful staff..quiet nights~ Expensive parking
good location, very nice staff furniter in room can be re new
Great location near acropolis and the shopping areas. We were able to walk to monstroaki and the parliment square as well. Temple of zeus is just across the street. Breakfast buffet is great with an amazing view. We came w our 17mo old and they provided a pack n play. Easy stroller access to front entrance an elevator. Easy stroller side walk access to near by sites. Pretty good sized room considering. Overall a good place to stay w kids Rooms could use a little updating
the view from the roof garden-bar is awesome! small room
Front desk and restaurants were accommodating. Only Internet issues in room; yet connection was fine on main floor.
Loved the room and it's close proximity to walkable parts of Athens. Also has a beautiful view of the temple of Zeus and the acropolis, both within walking distance. Hotel was comfortable and the service was good, though there were some issues with the room service. They were also kind enough to upgrade our room for free! The room service had some issues, first with ordering then with delivery. We received the wrong dish, after having to call four times to get them to understand what we wanted. However they were quick to bring the correct one to us at no additional charge.
Loved the view of the Temple of Zeus and the Acropolis. The morning breakfast was terrific and good value. The walk was very convenient, but the few shops next door made it look seedy to presence of the hotel. I thought 25.00 for a Margarita and 16 for a beer was a bit over the top. The prices for bar drinks make a traveler like me go elsewhere for a drinks, when I would really rather stay and drink in the relaxing atmosphere of the pool and hotel.
Hotel is well-located to Acropolis and its surrounding. Hotel itself is "old-fashioned" in its best meaning. Staff is very friendly and room was a very cozy. We would like to come back.
They were very nice and gave us a free upgrade. The room was beautiful- much larger than typical
It was a great hotel for a one night stay in Athens. The staff was very helpful. The location of the hotel was perfect very close to Acropolis and main city area. I would stay here again & recommend to friends as well. The bathroom could be updated it's very basic, decor updates are needed. Room service is too overpriced, luckily there's a lot of places to eat close by.
Location and staff Very old room, very bad veiw from my room, room can be seen in 2 stars hoteks
the staff's demeanor was excellent and personable. The Panoramic suite had an incredible view and the rooftop bar had a staggering view of the Temple of Olympian Zeus. If you can afford a night or two of luxury and five minute walk from the Acropolis...stay here. Dannis K. - Toronto
the location and value for money and staff
The location cannot be beat. You are right in the middle of most of the main attractions. The breakfast is very good. The shower was a bit small in my room, and the bed was a little too firm, but other than that it wa an excellent hotel.
- great location: next to Syntagma square, all the main tourist places are within walking distance - great breakfast: very good variety of savoury and sweet dishes, - Nice, large, clean and comfortable room: room and hotel are well maintained - we booked a double room and added "double bed" in our request, but for some reason, it was not communicated to the hotel (too many intermediary agents?) - so we were given twin room. The hotel was full and couldn't change our room. Make sure to email the hotel directly after booking!
Clean room, no noises around, very good bathroom, comfortable bed, tasty breakfast...In general i'm satisfied There was no window at my room that should open. Only one which was locked, so no fresh air from outside in. There was no wireless internet above third floor, only wired. A staff member told me that the internet wasn't free (actually it was), after a while he came to correct his statement but never apologized. I used the PC at the lobby.
Great location, friendly environment overcharge for late check out
That it was so near the center and the metro station It should be a fitness center there
Location, very good food for room service Poor breakfast, deteriorating with time... Difficult to order room service
I liked the location of the hotel which was pretty easy to all transportation, within the commercial center and shops but also very quiet and peacefull to the well known and noisy Athens. Personel was very polite and always ready to answer or help at any querries. I dont have anyting that I didnt like except the room which was at the back and there was no actual view
The staff were very attentive, especially in the restaurant. The choice of food at breakfast was excellent. This hotel offers really good value for money, and its location is perfect for business people, shopping and sight seeing. Best of all, the hotel is within easy reach of the Plaka and Monastiraki. The bath is far too small, even for petite guests! The fittings in the bath do not allow for any room to wash yourself. Otherwise, a nice bathroom.
very handy for the sites, close to airport bus & metro breakfast was good The carpets in the hallways were stained, as was the room plus the curtains were marked,
Definitely the location is outstanding! Don´t have separate twin beds. All rooms have double beds, that can be a limitation.
The hotel was great. Perfect location and a great example of a 5 star hotel. Staff were very friendly, spoke excellent English and helped in every way possible. No negatives whatsoever. If I'm in Athens again this is where I'll be staying.
Service was impeccable, food was delicious, especially upstairs on the rooftop. Killer view. Oh, and the mattress and bedsheets are of high quality - you'll sleep very well. The wifi is kinda slow, shower design will leave your floor soaked
The location, in a quiet central street; the common premises (lobby, terraces, swimming pool, restaurant, breakfast room, with the exception of the spa which is disappointing) more than the rooms themselves; the professional staff; quality and variety of breakfast; restaurant is good, but too expensive compared with Athens standards. Only one problem, but major: our room was overheated because of the amazing heat coming from the minibar, to the point where the air was almost unbreathable. To be fixed urgently!
The location of the hotel was great. It is very close to the Acropolis, which was the reason for us to visit Athens, Greece. The view from the roof of the hotel was stunning.
During previous stays in winter, the rooms were centrally heated and it was impossible to get the temperature below 25 degrees Celcius without opening the windows. During this stay, I was able to switch on the airo . They told me they changed thear heating policy after receiving complaints. Bravo! No reason to avoid this hotel any longer.
Very nice hotel, great location. The room was quite big and the bed was sooo comfortable. I was impressed by the design. They could improve breakfast. It's ok to have the same breakfast everyday but food that should be warm was cold constantly.
The Plushness of the hotel. They allowed us into our rooms at 9:00 a.m. on our arrival day. Wonderful!! We could sleep and then hit the town.
Location and American Breakfast. Some, but not all, of the reception desk staff did not seem too interested in helping out of towners. None had ever heard of Continental Airlines and were not too interested in helping me get in touch with them.
the pool the pool the pool it was so refreshing after a hot day of travel or site seeing a true treat! the big fluffy extra pillows were a bonus, was properly air conditioned and plenty of room to bounce around. breakfast was great, fresh OJ and Greek Frappé coffee yumerola!!! the pool and deck gets a bit crowded at peak times as it is quite small and overly chlorinated so bring your goggles!
I had a noisy room on the street.
Well situated hotel.
We got the hotel for half price so can't really complain, wouldn't pay full price, not bad if it's on offer. Nice quiet rooftop bar with good views. Air con wasn't working in the room, two single beds pushed together made it slightly uncomfortable.
Very close to metro station makes it easy to commute, roof top restaurant and bar is excellent, the room is clean and quite comfortable. The neighbourhood is a bit scary during the night, the lifts are too slow, the roof top swimming pool is too small, the staff's service does not reflect the level of the hotel being a four star hotel.
Cleankiness Aloofness of counter staff
Helpful staff. Watch out for those elevators.
The rooftop bar with view on the Acropolis
Close to the historic sites and to the Metro The tray with sliced bread at breakfast, was empty of course bread when You arrived breakfast a bit late
roof garden restaurant and swimming pool. A view to Akropolis, close to metro station and shops, nice balcoon. no fridge in the room, american breakfast.
Breakfast room smelled musty and smokey
Everything about the stay was good, especially the rooftop restaurant - that was an unexpected bonus. I was expecting the pool to be open.
The roof bar and resturant. Some of the staff were not very helpfull.
The views of Athens from the rooftop where the pool and gym were situated were wonderful. Breakfast was too expensive
Everything was woderfull. No, the hotel was wonderfull too.
I was for a holiday with my son (he is 21 years old). The staff was very friendly, very helpful and the room was good, spacious and clean. It is not close to the center, in any case you can not go by foot. A metro station is close, but if you are going during the summer (how we was) and outside are 37 degrees even this distance is a lot. The hotel have a shuttle for the center, but they are only 4 by day
Perfect for Easter Break, Hotel one of the best Iv ever stayed in
all, but the staff more
I was on a tour. The first night was on me. very good room and this extended to second night. Off i went on the tour and returned for last night. This room was very small and nothing like the first night. There was painting and construction on floor and we had to pass through this to get to the room. The hotel did call to let me know about the length of work and offered a new room. I was too tired to move. They did send up a lovely tray of fruit and bottle water. I think the size of the room was picked by the tour not the hotel. The staff was great. The business center. Not personal at all. I walked in asking about the getting a boarding pass. The lady pointed to the computer. I explained that I was not knowledgeable about computers. I was told to key in my airline and follow instructions. No help. She was not busy. I guest I look like a tourist and not a business person.
Our family enjoyed the rooftop pool as a wonderful break from sightseeing, and the included breakfast far exceeded expectations !!
excellent hotel esp for this price a stain on the chair, didn't actually matter
proximity to office unfriendly; smelled of smoke; overpriced breakfast; no real hairdryer in the bathroom
The executive floor service and the ambiance in the reception area. Style of the hotel was old, classic, not what I would expect from hotel classified as mainly business hotel.
Staff were very polite and comfort was excellent No English tv
The pool is very nice - the bar up there should be open for a longer period
Nice view from bar / restaurant Very disappointed. No way is this a 5 star hotel. Spa, Sauna, swimming pool etc. close on Marathon weekend. Couldn't care less attitude from staff.
The location The rooms are very small and this was uncomfortable
The hotel was tired. The room and bathroom were not clean. This is not a five star hotel as described by travel sites. The power in the hotel failed in the middle of the night & we had no AC, emergency lighting came on, which is what we woke to at 3am. The house phone was ignored when I attempted to call the front desk to clarify the situation. I called from my mobile & was told 'this happens all the time'. An appalling 'hotel'.
Small , dirty room. Not a 5 star
Due to extensive flight delays we missed the first night of our reservation at St. George and did not arrive in Athens until 6AM. However, we forgot all about our troubles almost immediately after checking into this superb hotel. 1. Without even telling us they upgraded our room to the front side of the hotel which had absolutely incredible views of the Acropolis from our balcony. While it wasn't a large room (they never are in Europe!), it was clean, the bed was great, and the bathroom was perfectly OK. 2. Despite our exhaustion, we dragged ourselves out of bed just in time to catch breakfast. Went up to the 6th floor and was blown away by the 360 views of Athens. We asked if we could just grab a plate of food from the buffet (delicious selection) and take it back down to our room. Not only did they say yes, but they had someone carry our food down to the room ON A SILVER PLATTER. No jokes. Also, without even asking for it they sent with a hot carafe of coffee with STEAMED MILK. 3. On the last leg of our trip, coming back from an island, we had 12 hours to kill in Athens before heading to the airport. Despite no longer being guests for over 7 days they graciously stored our bags and let us hang out at the roof pool until we had to leave. WHAT. 4. Oh, and the pool is like a dream. Gorgeous pool with gorgeous Athens view with lounge chairs and great music. Happy hour is from 7-9 offering 6 euro cocktails. The neighborhood this hotel is in is really great and completely safe as it is where all the embassies are located. Since it's on a hill be prepared to climb! It is worth it as there are very charming buildings, great cafes, shops, and restaurants. You can be in Kolonaki (walking) in 15-20 minutes. There is a metro stop 7 blocks away that goes directly to the airport. WHY WOULD YOU STAY ANYWHERE ELSE? I know I won't be.... Thank you St. George! You made our trip.
Most of the staff was helpful and friendly with only a couple exceptions. Located in a safer/nice side of town that is much more quiet. Atm and money exchange available. Nice pool area and great pool staff but not enough sun chairs/space. The spa wasn't open for all of my four day stay except for one day. The one day they were open they only had massage capabilities available (ie no facials or nail treatments etc) so I went ahead and booked a massage with the only therapist available. I found the male massage therapist to be a bit unprofessional and the massage was oddly touchy. For example it seemed like he was trying to rub his body on the sides of mine while giving my massage. The breakfast buffet is 22 euros and a lot of the food was cold including meat and eggs which is dangerous! All food at this hotel is pretty over priced. No hot tub as advertised? Dirty/moldy between bathroom tiles. If they call a taxi for you the ride is 3 euros more expensive
great deco, lovely bar and the resturant food was excellent the sound proofing in the room was very poor and you can hear people's conversation from the corridors.
Situation and nothing else Very small pool, non-smoking rooms just smoking rooms with apple scent sprayed, tired decoration, lack of porters. Living on its name. Avoid.
Proximity was very good as I like this area of city. Wish they had heated pool.
Very helpful and friendly staff, they were attentive to all our needs and requests. Excellent view of the Acropolis and overall Athens. The restaurant-bar at the top floor is also a wonderful place for dinner or a drink. The boutique room (suite) is very overpriced. Small for its price, and without any distinctive features, apart from the balcony with the beautiful view.
The hotel is great, very modern and rooms have a lot of space. The bathroom has a jacuzzi and a shower with many shower options. The bed is very large and confortable. The restaurant on the roof is so wonderful and has a very nice view. Staff has been very kind to us, helping with our luggage that didnt arrive. The relation cost/benefit is perfect.
Super convenient location and friendly, efficient staff; quiet and comfortable room Long, grim hallway
Great location to and from the airport. Very comfortable clean rooms, friendly staff and restaurants had a descent variety of good food.
We could walk to the hotel from the airport. Rooms were large, clean and very nice.
This is the only hotel at the Athens Airport which is convenient for a one night stay. Luckily it is a very nice hotel and literally at the airport. It is also conveniently located on the train line to the city, Acropolis and other important sites which gives the one day layover traveler ease to the airport and all the main attractions. Enjoy
Walk across driveway and you are in the airport best bed I have ever slept on. No noise from the airport. Didn't like the food at their cafe. Asked for pizza with little cheese, and received undercooked pie swimming in cheese. Bathroom was nice, but showerhead was completely broken. Room was very tiny.
clean, spacious room
The location is the primary reason we stay here. The center of Athens is nearly an hour away so being able to just walk across the street to the airport is priceless, especially for flights leaving at odd hours. Secondly, it is ever so comfortable and quiet. I can't think of anything we did not like. Obviously, it would be great if it cost less but "you get what you pay for".
Location, Friendly and helpful staff. Valet person was very held up I tumult to check u funds olVe for dinner and return rental car . Kudos to staff. Rooms need electronic upgrade, more receptacles, more light and Lise the cord to the remote control.
Cannot be closer to the airport than that. - The shower was leaking. The noise of the water falling on the floor woke me up all night. - The T.V. stopped working at midnight (?!) - There were hairs in the bath that were not mine. - They charged me 7 euros at the bar for a small bottle of water. I know it's supposed to be a luxury hotel, but come on.
Great location and proximity to airport. Very convenient for early/late airport departures/arrivals. Nice lobby and restaurants. Rooms are Comfortable and clean, but a little dated and smelled of stale smoke.
I had to cancel travel plans for fear of safety in travel through Istanbul. The hotel refused to issue a refund.
The location to the airport is fantastic, only the Grand Hyatt in DFW has a closer hotel to the ticket counter. Excellent, responsive staff.
the location was ideal, our room had a magnificent view & the room was a great size and very comfortable nothing
very classy, comfortable, elegant the closets need more hangers
Very nice place located in the heart of the city with a good value. The staff was always there to help and made excellent recommendations for our stay. Would've loved to have a single queen bed in stead of two twins but this is not that unusual in Greece.
Good value for money ,excellent location, frienly staff no
Location Street side rooms are very noisy from vehicle traffic
The rooms are big and the location is great next to shopping and restaurants. Nothing
Comfort of rooms. The soft mattress was appreciated! Also their willingness to accomadate our late check out. Front desk personnel were not particularly friendly in person. Prices for breakfast and laundry service were outrageous. Cost for pressing should of been complimentary since no iron provided in the room.
Location is central and the balcony of our room gave views of Syntagma, the Parliament building and the Parthenon. Short walk to excellent Benaki Museum and roof-top restaurant, Theocharakis Foundation and first-floor cafe, Numismatic Museum (Schliemann's house) and cafe, fashionable Kolonaki and funicular to Mt Lycabettus. Close to Get-on Get-off city tour bus. Handy for shops and restaurants.
The location of the hotel is perfect, very much in the city center and able to go every where walking. External noises: the isolation of the rooms is not very good and therefore during the night we could hear the external noises.
Location, friendly staff Walls are not well isolated
Close to shops and amenities Breakfast closes at 10 am - most of Greece starts waking up at that time. If the Hotel breakfast went to 12 pm this would be good.
the recently refurbed roof top bar and pool was excellent. they do not supply iron and ironing boards to the rooms so we had to go to the lobby and use the one there which was so old and dirty they had put a table cloth over it and the iron was old and dirty as well. A small cost to the hotel which would have made a big difference.
We likes look at Athens from roof of the hotel Breakfast very bad. There is not good tea and olive( The country of the olive tree!!!!!!) We don't call any phone number although it was one call charged our bill.
Internet service is atrocious and the breakfast was barely edible
The hotel is fine but the staff of te reception was not polite and helpfull. Be more customer oriented!!!
I enjoyed the rooftop bar and pool very much. The location isn't too bad. Metro and taxis easily available on a daily basis. Rooms were average but clean and comfortable. The wifi only available in the common area was a big thumbs down. Also it wasn't good connection if more then a few people were on it.
Beautiful classic hotel in a great location near main metro and bus stations. My booking.com reservation was not in the reservation list of the reception(!) Fortunately there was room availability so I could stay nevertheless but the hotel staff need to control their booking.com reservations in a more careful way.
big room, nice view empty mini bar.
It is good during the stay to finish my busines and It is quite and the staff is good in dealing with the people. I did not like the hours of work for the service room in telephone system and the service of resturant at the room and also in tv service and internet service which should be available in the all hotel and free.
The pool internet connection was very bad, unfriendly personel
Closeness to the center area of Athens. A bit noisy and found carpets in the room not very clean, however it was just fine for our short stay.
New and feels cutting edge. Good location right in the heart of everything. A/C in the rooms works well on hot summer days. The way in which the hotel is new and cutting edge feels like it was put together very quickly, and in a few years time won't be that nice. Showers seem to leak water all over the bathroom. Service at the restaurant/bar on the rooftop is mediocre.
As our room was in the building that was recently renovated, the facilities were brand-new. The location is convenient to visit Acropolis. We were annoyed by their house-keeping services. Everytime they cleaned the room, they forgot to supply glasses and cups. And the most disappointing thing was that they didn't clean the room one day even though I put on the 'make up room' light and even asked them to clean the room over the phone. When I returned to the room in the evening to find the room had not got cleaned and complained, the lady didn't apologize. She dared to say it was because I had put on the 'do not disturb' light, which was not true.
adequate city hotel rtaher lifeless
Location was great, the room was very nice, with a balcony. The roof deck was closed, one of the biggest selling points on the hotel. Also, no transportation service available to/from airport.
Excellent location very close to the Acropolis in a nice little residential neighborhood. There is a Spar supermarket down the street and a small convenience store on the same block. We found our room to be very comfortable. We had a balcony with a nice view over Athens. I would definitely stay here again. The bathroom was a bit impractical: when you shower, the water goes all over the floor. Also, the sink is very shallow.
Location and professional staff Very bad beds, sheets and blankets. Almost 'YMCA level'
the location; the room; the staff shuttle (does not exists)
roof top restaurant overlooking akropolis
Our second stay at Divani, and it was lovely. The staff offers excellent service and is very attentive. The location is the best as all major sights can be easily reached by walking or the metro. the room was fabulous. I would highly, highly recommend it to all. on the night of the August full moon, we had dinner on the patio. we overlooked the acropolis and it was very memorable
excellent location staff was forgetful
Beautifully decorated and clean room and helpfull staff Breakfast was too expensive
Close to Acropolis & main sights Clean & comfortable Courteous staff Breakfasts, although varied in selection, were poorly prepared.
it was not realy what i ecpected from i 5 star hotel when they mention that its possible to add a bed in a room then they should be ready for it and could organise
close vicinity to all sights
Location is very nice.
the service and rooms were all exactly as advertised this is truelly a 5 star hotel.
The comfort and service were of the highest quality. We enjoyed our stay, and were made to feel welcome. The food and beverage prices were extremely high, so we availed ourselves of these to the very minimum!
Fantastic foyer, great roof top garden restaurant, luxurious.
Room is well appointed and very comedienne. Staff is friendly and helpful. A beautiful well decorated old hotel with modern conveniences. Service in restaurants was a little sporatic. Water pressure in shower a little weak. No check out on TV, and in person checkout was slow.
Loved the elegance of the hotel, service and roof top dining. Nothing, just perfect!
The hotel as name suggests was very Grand the design was very beautiful
Very pleasant and knowledgeable concierge We didn't like the room first provided but after complaining received smaller but with much better view. Why not to provide the better room initially?
Excellent service, good location, excellent spa & fitness center. Nothing
The room and bathroom were beautiful. Comfortable pillows. Great pool and jacuzzi with stunning view. Sundeck equipped with comfortable loungers. Less than 5 minute walk to Omonia metro and 20 minute stroll to Acropolis. Great breakfast (better selection than most London hotels). Overall, I was pleasantly surprised. Pool shuts at 6pm which is far too early. Surrounding area is not the prettiest.
The rooftop pool, truly outstanding with a beautiful view of Athens. The location, although not a particularly nice neighborhood is close to everything and steps from the metro station. The pool hours (10 am to 6 pm) are too restrictive if you're traveling on business.
Level of the employees Wi-Fi only in the Lobby (always crowded with more than 10 people trying to use internet). This is not acceptable in the level of the hotel.
The staff was very courteous and helpful and the rooms were very nice! The pool closed at 6:00PM which was too early if you wanted to enjoy it after a day of seeing the city.
Central location Bedroom and fittings need a good spring cleaning
Hotel itself was very nice-rooftop pool overlooking the Acropolis. New and modern facilities, workout room, breakfast room. Front desk staff were very helpful once you got to talk to them. There was always only one person working the front desk so you always had to wait in line for service at busy times. Location was in a questionable area but convenient to subway. Restaurant was rather pricey.
i think the location it was one of the main reasons the fact that there was
Received room upgrade (thank you) and was very pleased with location .... only a couple of blocks from underground and thus good access to sights and airport. Breakfast good - staff helpful !! Athens itself is dirty and polluted - transport strike by underworked and overpaid public servants doesn;t make you feel that you'd want to return anytime soon.
I liked the comfort! The dangerous location
the relaxed and friendly atmosphere created by the staff
The friendly, helpful response of staff and the wonderful view of the citymade it all work. The Bar could use some work as far as liquor available. And the breakfast seating was limited--but that was the fault of the birds. Great breakfast. Not great dinner--we should have gone out.
The location was really great and it was easy to get anywhere we wanted to go. There were really loud college kids running around at 4 in the morning which made it difficult to sleep.
Location, room size Street noise
Great location, nice room, polite and helpful staff. Great view to Acropolis and Athens from roof restaurant!
Location is good, only!
Great view of Acropolis from breakfast room. Breakfast was very generous. Single rooms have no view. Window is opaque and when opened revealed a wall a few feet away.
The view at the hotel's restaurant is simply wonderful.. I think this maybe the highest point in Athens! While having breakfast you could see the Acropolis & almost all of Athens, the restaurant also has a terrace where you could enjoy your morning coffee & cigarette with a marvelous view :) I like my hotels to have a 24 hours of room service. Or at least fill the minbar in the room with water!
Location is superb. Breakfast is ok and the view from the breakfast room is the best! Astor is very cosy and comfortable, easy. Nice bar. Hotel Astor has no environmental programme, or at least nothing such was visible. Service in the breakfast room was quite slow (cleaning the tables, filling up the cheese trays etc.).
The location was perfect for us The small towel in my bath was a rag-- torn edges all around. i expected better quality.
The beautiful view and location. The restaurant in the roof was bad. The vegetables atbreakfast were not fresh at all. And in the evening the food I ordered was not tasty. The waitress was sweet and kind.
Location of hotel
fine location, in the middle of shopping center. breakfast was excellent.staff willing to help. cleaning service was excellent no terrace restaurant
The views from the rooftop bar were gorgeous. Breakfast spread was excellent
Room was tiny, bathroom was tiny, staff was incredibly rude. Make sure you state the number of guests (e.g., 2) and not just that you need one bed or they will try to give you twin bed.
The location is the main advantage of the hotel. I didn't like the small bathroom in which it was difficult to move.
Excellent location, at 2 minutes walk from stop of X95 bus from airport; around corner from Akropolis. Good room, friendly staff, great breakfeast No complaints
Location, comfort, cleanliness and value for money
Excellent customer service, modern and spacious room I will definitely come back and stay with Electra.
Friendly, courteous, helpful staff, great location, clean, attractive facility
good location One staff in reciption was not polite in giving info about additional taxes and wanted me to just sign the credit card bill quickly!
location, staff, and enviornment
Very convenient location, very comfortable.
The hotel is in an ideal position to visit the major sites of interest in the city.We were always made most welcome by the staff and the breakfast buffet was very good.
Helpful staff. especially John the Concierge, who had good tips on where to eat.
Fabulous views Breakfast was okay, but could be better (would be nice to have fresh juice, more selection)
Superb staff, incredible views, and wonderful service. It really makes you feel as if you're home while in Athens. Next time we're back in Athens, we'll be staying here.
Fabulous views, good location, small but stylishly modern room with all amenities. Lots of traffic noise.
Staff was very friendly. For example, when the manager at the reception learned that it was my wife's birthday, he sent a bottle of red wine and fruits to our room.
The food and the view from the roof top restaurant were fabulous. The elevator was unusually small and handling luggage was very difficult.
Everything was outstanding
Excellent location. Cleanliness of room - & everything worked! Staff were knowledgeable & friendly. Very good food, including breakfast. The rooms are on the small side, & also quite noisy at night.
the sights from the room and the restaurant are great
The location was terrific and we enjoyed our room. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was sleek, clean and modern. We especially enjoyed breakfast in the Roof Garden with the wonderful view. The staff was friendly and courteous, and the service was very good. Our room was a little small, but this was not a big problem. The marble stairs felt a little dangerous - it might be good to install hand rails on the upper floors.
Staff very friendly and accommodating. Room was lovely. Bathroom was very nice, shower was excellent, shampoo/conditioners etc were very good quality as i didn't want to unpack, so just used them. Location is excellent, just around the corner from the Plaka area and very safe. Near the metro also. The Roof Garden bar was lovely although, closes at 11pm. View of Acropolis was lovely from there. Can't find any faults. Probably wouldn't pay the extra againf or a room with a view of Parthegon or Acropolis, as the roof garden made for a nice view anyway. In all, a very nice hotel with lovely staff who come across as genuinely friendly people.
Spacious room with great view of Acropolis and Lycabettus
The staff were very helpful, courteous and efficient. Daily newspapers would be nice
very bad impression for a 5 stars hotel ,perhaps in a central pansion would be feel more safe loose my personal items from the bathroom of my room, they did check out one before my reservation and i was 7 hours without bed linen and towels ...but they asked me "sorry"...for 161,00 euros i think is not enough. But i payed 18 euros for one day internet ,6,75 for a small bottle of still water and 15 euros for the gym access....my parfume ,my shaver kit and my personals medicines and others ...dissapeard from the bathroom ....very bad impression for a 5 stars hotel ,perhaps in a central pansion would be feel more safe than in hilton
Central location. Had a very poor massage. The technicain had no experience.
We stayed in athens for 9 days and without doubt the best meal we had during the entire stay was at the rooftop restaurant. Excellent..
clean, great room, great service free wifi in lobby only expensive breakfast
Nice rooms and great pool The pool closes too early in the evening.m
the king hilton room is small and not confortable, different from standard rooms from others hilton. the prices of lounge bars and food in room is too hight (7euro per 1bottle of water!!). the hotel is in the meddle of traffic cross, chaos and noise in the room even with windows shutted. the swimming pool and gym is not included in the price room. there is not plasma and net connection too expensive.
The staff, The breakfast The 27 euros plus tax a day to park
I found the price too high. Breakfast and wireless connections were not included and too expensive.
good bed overpriced for food and drinks
Beautiful and large room. The pigeons at the pool!
Location was great, very close to Monastiraki Square for lots of shopping and good eats. Staff was very helpful. Would have loved a pool, but knew we weren't getting that when we signed up. Great value. Would stay here again. Would have loved a pool, but oh well! Everything else was great!
Wonderful staff and service, lovely breakfast, great location
the reception is super cute with the mini cooper reception desks and the design of the hotel is very artistic. my room had a batman painting on the wall. not hanging on the wall, ON the wall. well the only thing is that the doors make these weird alarm sounds when u're entering, and the morning of my stay someone's door alarm had gone crazy and i was woken up to have to call the reception to help turn it off.
Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Gave us good ideas on where to go for dinner and booked the restaurant for us.The hotel room was very pleasant and trendy. Our wake up call was late by 20 min. I believe there was a confusion from their side and we got the wake up call when the taxi was ordered for.
Hotel in the centre and rooms as quiet as on the countryside. Price of the breakfast at EUR 20. I don't eat that much to make up for such an elevated price, so I went out for breakfast.
the food in restaurant the noise in the rooms
The decor was really unique.
Over the top design hotel which makes it a different and fun place to stay. Big breakfast buffet. If you have a design hotel (or any hotel for that matter), maintenance ought to be a high priority. Unfortunately this is not so much the case. The room was fine, but the svimmingpool in the basement was really dirty and worn down. Rather a shame.
Nothing The rooms and facilities were not of a 5 star standard as advertised. The surrounding area was not very pleasant.
The location was terrible and the staff was extremely unhelpful. I fell down a staircase and not one person offered to help me up or ask if I was ok. The hotel room was filthy and full of flies. I felt extremely unsafe staying there and DO NOT recommended this hotel to anyone in the future. The bathroom was also dirty I had to clean the tub myself before I could even use it as it was filled with debris and hair. Overall the experience was awful.
Hotel stuff were very reliable, helpful and cheerful. Also, it was a fast-speed internet access in the rooms, that is quite unusual.
The restaurant in the roof and great breakfast
the staff are absoloutly perfect the location is realy bad,on the street at night there are prostitutesshouting all night and very unsafe feeling coming back late at night, even the taxi drivers where shocked by what happens around the hotel at night
This hotel is located in a very bad part of Athens. When we were checking out and going to a different hotel, Fresh Hotel refused to provide a refund for the day that we did not stay.
For the price, an excellent hotel. Very modern and stylish, with great facilities.
They have a very nice breakfast. The difference between a standard room and a luxury standard room is virtually zero. The rooms generally are extremely small. The hotel is situated in a dirty, rough part of the central city with prostitutes and thugs on the street. Management seems to believe that their guests are lucky to stay there. I gave this hotel a second chance about a week ago. Never again.
I thought the hotel was great, nice modern interior, fantastic location, 5 minute walk to Monastiraki Square, room was pretty spacious and the rooftop pool was small but still refreshing after a long day of touring. The breakfast was fantastic, a great spread! The pool was a bit small and the rooftop bar was pretty overpriced, but otherwise no complaints!
Roof deck, attentive service, location
Location and price for the main advantages of this hotel. The immediate neighborhood is a little bit seedy, but this did not bother me.
This is a well run, very contemporary, hotel with excellent amenity ie gym, breakfast, restaurant, good sized rooms. We arrived very early (discharged off cruise ship early as they do) and the hotel staff found an (upgraded) room for us to use immediately for our stay. We found the staff very helpful and friendly. Try the greek yoghurt and honey at breakfast! While the hotel is well located for accessing the Acropolis area (30 min walk) and the pedestrian mall (Ermou), it is in a 'downmarket' area of town adjacent to Central Market. OK during the day but our two taxi drivers warned us to take care at night. The surrounding area lacks restaurants but we used the hotel restaurant on the top floor with view of Acropolis.
Rooftop bar/ restaurant with views of the Acropolis. Room was clean with the 3 beds we requested. Location was convenient to all tourist destinations. Bed was not super comfortable.
Staff helpful, clean. Room was a bit small but worked
Nice central location
