Excellent 10.0
Pros: Breakfast was amazing! The bed was super comfortable and our room was absolutely spotless.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: By the Brae was a superb BnB. The location was perfect, facilities clean, shower pressure fantastic, with the wee touches of orchids on the breakfast table, nice cutlery and scottish fine soap company all adding to the experience. The hosts were lovely and friendly and the breakfast was delicious!
Cons: We wish we could stay for longer instead of just the weekend. Would prefer a whole week there to explore the surroundings and beautiful scenery Scotland has to offer. Next time for sure..
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Breakfast was excellent!!! Location for us was perfect as it was not in the centre of Inverness but instead in the country.
Cons: nothing it was all excellent.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Richard & Jenny made us at home. Accommodation perfect, quiet and homely. Breakfast was perfect too with a great choice. We’ll be back.
Cons: Nothing. Simply perfect.

Pros: Excellent! Nice place, Nice House, nice bedroom and excellent breakfast. The couple is really Nice:) All perfect... Diane and April
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Richard and Jenny were absolutely fantastic hosts. From the moment we stepped in we were made to feel welcome. Richard provided so many helpful tips and suggestions for local attractions and places to visit as well as giving us a great overview of local pubs and restaurants etc. We were kindly given a complimentary room upgrade and the room was lovely and spacious. Room was spotless and had all the facilities you need. Perfect location, just 10 minutes drive from Inverness City Centre in a quiet rural area. Breakfast was beautiful!! Perfectly cooked with tasty, fresh produce (the sausages were our favourite!). Every morning we looked forward to it as well as having a chat with Richard/Jenny and fellow guests. Overall we loved our stay at By the Brae and felt we wanted to stay longer. Such a lovely place that makes you feel right at home when you step in. Wouldn't book anywhere else in Inverness.
Cons: Nothing!

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Fantastic breakfast - so many choices. All delicious and plentiful. The most comfortable bed - a great night’s sleep after a long drive! Easy walk to beachfront, stunning location. Friendly and welcoming with many helpful suggestions regarding the local area. Thank you very much.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The owners and staff were excellent and very helpfull
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Our stay at Sandown House was delightful. The room was beautifully furnished and comfortable with little extras like water, tea and coffee. The bathroom was spacious with a lovely walk in shower. The amenities were of good quality. Breakfast was extremely tasty - the granola was home-made and delicious, as was the soda bread. The smoked salmon and scrambled egg was a lovely way to start the morning! Plentiful parking.
Cons: Nothing not to like! Will definitely visit again if I’m in Nairn.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Spacious, clean, large room with lovely outside area. Excellent decor and comfortable bed. Close walk to beach. Excellent, extremely helpful hostess and superb breakfast.
Cons: Nothing. It is not cheap, but you get what you pay for!
Excellent 10.0

Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great location. Delicious breakfast and catered well for gluten free. Beautiful room. Great for our dog. Lovely extra touches, such as dog bowls and blanket for our dog.
Cons: Nothing. It was perfect.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Liz and Andy provide exceptional B&B with attention to detail and they could not be more helpful. Breakfast was a treat every morning .We will return! Louis and Marie (Glasgow)
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Liz the host was absolutely superb. The room was lovely and the breakfast was superb
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Breakfast was made to order. Excellent portion sizes and a good amount of choice. Liz (co owner) is attentive and strives to give you your needs. The room we stayed in was an excellent size. Comfortable bed and plenty of space. The bathroom was a 4 piece suite. The walk in shower was enormous and overall excellebt quality. Room was well furnished and equipped. I brought my labrador with me. We had a downstairs room with sliding door (separate from main entrance) which was handy for taking him out on walks. The location is quiet and within 5 minutes walk from the beach.
Cons: The only criticism I had (very very small) was the way in which the coffee was brewed. French press (always a good way to brew) but was either pressed too firmly or the grounds were too fine for the press. (This isn't really a criticism in the grand scheme as I've had to think very hard).
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Friendly hosts. Immaculately clean and very comfortable. Freshly cooked breakfast with lots of choice. Great attention to details.
Cons: Nothing

Excellent 8.0
Pros: A good nights sleep followed by a really good breakfast (that you select the previous night) in the morning. The general area, dining room, rooms & toilets were clean. There was a tv in the room but we didn’t have the time to switch it on, was a very short stay. There were coffee and biscuits too. The dining room is decorated with plates from around the world - most likely of their travels, sweet couple (just respect their check-in/out policy) .
Cons: Nothing wrong with the property, it’s about a 15-20min drive from Inverness, so best if you have a car. Would be nice if there was a dressing table mirror in the room as the only one is in the bathroom. The host has a quiet policy after 10, but it’s difficult not to make noise while opening/ closing the main door and walking up the stairs (some creeky floorboards)
Mediocre 3.0
Pros: very good breakfast
Cons: Shower way to small & doors sticking at £85 for the room was to expensive and no images of Shower displayed

Cons: nothing that I can think of.
Excellent 10.0
Inchrye and it's hosts were excellent. Clean b&b well located for Airport Fort George Inverness ,Nairn and Highlands touring. Far better value than similar establishments in Nairn and inverness. Will certainly use again 0n next trip in area.
Excellent 10.0
Stayed for one night. Lovely hosts, very clean, excellent breakfast.
Good 6.2
Pros: The facility was very comfortable and breakfast was good.
Cons: The problem upon check in was that the hostess was very un hospitable. She was very rude to the couple who checked in just before us. (I spoke to them that night and the following morning. They did not feel welcome at all). As for my wife and I....my wife mistakenly booked only one person. The hostess wanted an extra £30 for the extra person. Does that seem excessive for an extra breakfast?. Well, I did say breakfast was good...but not for that amount. Oh well....at least she lightened up after I gave her the cash. (My wife wasn't happy but it was our vacation and I didn't need conflict)

Excellent 9.0
Pros: View from house perfect.Garden
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Breakfast was lovely, fresh fruit salad every day, yogurt, granola, etc. Large cooked to order selection. Toast made from homemade bread, with homemade jams. Lovely sea and countryside views from double aspect windows in our room. The kingsize bed was very comfy. Helpful information in the room about places to visit and to eat.
Cons: Understandably the central heating was not yet on, but a heated towel rail in the bathroom would have been welcome.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very comfortable, friendly helpful hosts and high quality facilities. Breakfast was healthy and delicious with a good choice of options.
Cons: Nothing at all!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very friendly and helpful owners. Beautiful view from bedroom. Lovely breakfast.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Val and Chris made us welcome right from the start with freshly made scones. Everything we wanted to know about the area was given including a map of the Black Isle. Very friendly couple, and room was outstanding with a view of the ocean. They made us feel really comfortable and Avoch is mostly central if you want to go anywhere. I would recomend this 4 Star B&B to everyone and well worth the money.
Cons: Absolutely nothing.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Views across the firth from our bedroom window or the terrace were stunning. Chris & Val were excellent hosts, couldn't do enough for us. Impressive range of breakfast and all organic where possible. Location was excellent, being close to Channory Point for dolphin spotting. We would recommend staying at Roth Ach for a relaxed quiet break to anyone.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Excellent breakfast, freshly cooked, with best ingredients used. Bedroom with dual aspect to a lovely view of the Moray Firth was a bonus. Val and Chris were very welcoming and couldn't do enough to please and Val's ginger shortbread was a treat.
Cons: Unfortunately both local pubs were closed permanently.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: this is a great place to stay, the hosts were lovely, the the house was nice, we had a great week here and really relaxed.
Cons: the doors were loud when people were shutting them could maybe put something around the door frame to make it quieter

Excellent 10.0
Pros: We loved the character and history of Culloden House. It proved to be a wonderful location for the things we wanted to do and see in the area. The staff were exceptional in terms of their hospitality and knowledge. The lounge, bar and dining room were all lovely and every meal we had was delicious and beautifully served. Our room was spacious and comfortable. All in all a very positive experience and we hope to be back!
Cons: We enjoyed every aspect of our stay. If we could mention one item for consideration, it would be to add a small gym for guests to use.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: This was a wonderfull place to stay during our honey moon. The Culloden House hotel is a very charming house, full of history; the food was amazing, and all the staff has been perfect, they took care of us on a very high level.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Dinner was excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Culloden House stands in the most beautiful gardens, including a private walled garden that is full of gorgeous flowers in an array of colours. The House itself is full of history and we had 2 rooms that took up the whole front first floor and were just stunning! We asked for twin rooms as I was travelling with my daughter, mum and sister and each of us had a double bed to ourselves! The size of the rooms were enormous and included sofas and armchairs and I felt like I was staying in a National trust property, it was full of period character. Our bathroom was huge and overlooked the main door with a view of the lawn, which was just lovely. Breakfast was fantastic and we had dinner in the dining room and the food was exceptional. Staff could not be more helpful. A very special place to stay indeed!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Beautiful house, and the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, we had a lovely stay,
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Historic building. Comfortable , good service and good location to relax and enjoy the hotel. The restaurant is perfect, the food and flavors.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: The room was amazing for the price. It was a large room and beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Everything you could need was there...tv, fridge, fan, ironing board, iron, hairdryer, toiletries. The bed was so comfy and we had a great nights sleep. Honestly cannot fault the Star Inn..its a gem of a place
Cons: I didnt like that booking.com try to rip you off by trying to charge you online for the breakfast. The breakfast is included in the price (and delicious it was too)!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Excellent breakfast with good choices. Really comfortable room. Really helpful staff.
Cons: It was all lovely.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Breakfast fabulous, easy to find, parking could be a little tight dependant upon season
Good 7.0
Pros: Location
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Nothing was too much for Kiera and her staff, we had a lovely stay. Room was spotless and well decorated, having a bath is a real bonus. Breakfast was amazing. Bar was cosy and inviting. We only stayed one night, we would have been happy to stay longer and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Room was amazing! So well furnished, staff in adjoining pub/restaurant were very helpful and friendly. Location superb for fort George and nairn.
Cons: The wifi signal was very weak in the room, could do with a booster in the building. Parking on street not ideal. Not happy with Booking.com charging extra for breakfast, when it was included in the room price. Will be seeking refund for this.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: So charming! And clean! We felt very welcome; only wish we had had more time. A real find. Super close to the airport, but with the benefit being in a small town. Will stay again.
Cons: Nothing!
Excellent 10.0

Excellent 8.0
Pros: Good Good location for Dolphins, coastal
Good 6.3
Pros: Granola and yoghurt for brekky was very good. Bed and bathroom comfortable. View from breakfast room great.
Cons: Inconvenient not being able to check in until 5pm. Having to remove shoes before entering very annoying and uncomfortable. Can hear everything and everyone. No privacy. The power point being switched off daily even though we were trying to charge devices. Tiny tv on the wall makes it hard to see any text.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Breakfast was first class
Good 7.5
Pros: Had full English breakfast and it was fine but would have also liked to have yoghurt but this was only available as an option instead of full English which I thought strange
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Made very welcome beautiful scenery
Cons: No complaints about anything
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very knowledgeable owner, comfy room spotless ensuite. Delicious breakfast served in conservatory over looking bay. They had binos to borrow to spot Dolphins. Amazing stay.
Cons: Nothing
Good 7.5
Pros: Beautiful location and a very close walk to the point to see the dolphins.
Cons: Not stayed in a b&b before so not sure what the benchmark should be, but I was very aware I was in someone’s house, which was a bit awkward. Very friendly hosts though.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great location. Very comfortable bed. Room furnished with everything we needed. Excellent.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: We loved our bedroom (room 3) and the spacious guest lounge where we were able to enjoy some quiet reading time. The view is spectacular, as was our breakfast, with many choices and great service.
Cons: I can't think of anything that could be improved. Leanach Farm is perfect for us.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Room was well appointed and clean. We had an en-suite room with king size bed, and had a great nights sleep. Great selection for breakfast and really friendly service. Beautiful views from the breakfast room.
Cons: Really can’t criticise.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Lovely breakfast, lovely location.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Friendly and welcoming, breakfast was excellent. Would definitely recommend
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Breakfast was delicious, the views from the room and dining room were beautiful. Rosanne and Ian were warm and welcoming and helpful with information on where to go. The B&B is full of beautiful home touches, feeling very comfortable. We were very pleased to have the opportunity to see their sheep, sheepdogs, and goat and appreciated Ian doing a working sheepdog demonstration.
Cons: We could not have asked for anything better.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We had a great stay! Very comfortable. The family was very friendly and accommodating! Justina, our caretaker, was also so friendly and cheerful!
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Host and staff were lovely. Great facilities, well cooked good breakfast, with lovely view. Host recommended we eat dinner at a local place which turned out to be excellent, we were so pleased to for the host to recommend, book us the table and give directions etc. En-suite bathroom facilities were excellent.
Cons: I think the bed frame was ready for a refresh. It was great having a fridge in the room but it was a bit noisy. I felt the overall cost was maybe too high but it was a very busy weekend in Inverness (marathon was on) so all accommodation was in demand, and booking.com take a hefty share of the price you pay.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The bed was SO comfortable ! Minutes from Culloden Battlefield, host was lovely, view was great.N/a
Cons: Nothing !would
Excellent 8.5
Pros: The place was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was hearty.
Cons: At five to ten (the checkout time), the call went out. We were to be out the door by ten. The room across the hall from us ran out with things hanging from their suitcases. We ran and loaded the car, were told, no you have not left anything behind. Then my husband discovered his briefcase missing and had to run in and get it from our bedroom. All relaxation was gone from the way we were rushed out the door. I have never had this happen at any other B&B we stayed in.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: I was looking for a good B&B with easy airport access since I had a late flight in and early flight out the other day. Flowerburn is in a great location for that. It was also not a problem for Flowerburn that I arrived very late. The accommodation exceeded my expectations in terms or cleanliness and outfit of the room and bathroom. Alison prepared excellent breakfast that I could enjoy in the very nice conservatory. It was a great experience.
Cons: not applicable
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Excellent hosts. Lovely property finished to a high standard with all required mod cons (tv, speaker, in room coffee maker, quality toiletries). Great breakfast - tailor to what we wanted. Made us feel very welcome.
Cons: Property is 20-30min walk for centre, may be an issue for some people although wasn’t an issue for us, especially as hosts offered to drive us to into town, which was very kind and appreciated.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Room was very well equipped and spotless. Breakfast was excellent and cooked to order in generous portions. Hosts were very friendly and helpful regarding areas amenities and places of interest, as well as restaurant reservations and recommendations.
Cons: Nothing. Standard was excellent.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We loved the house and the garden. Absolutely beautiful! The room was comfortable and bathroom was new and sparkling clean. The hosts were exceptionally nice and went out of their way to show us the way to our dinner place. Even their dog was nice. One of best B&B's I've ever stayed in.
Cons: nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: It was wonderful staying with Alison and Judy. The house was spotlessly clean. They were very polite, and cared to all our needs, be it the little ones. They took care that everything in our breakfast was vegetarian and the interaction with them was very warm.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Magnificent breakfast with a truely delightful host
Cons: I would have changed nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: This is a fabulous place to stay. A big thank you to Alison & Jane for letting us stay in their beautiful home. We received a very warm friendly welcome. The property is in a quiet location, close to the beach, golf club, restaurants. Has a lovely garden, very clean comfortable rooms and breakfast is scrumptious.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Location, spacious property, great value for money
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Lovely big space for lots of people. We’ll equipped kitchen and all really clean.
Okay 4.0
Pros: 2 en-suite bedrooms and kitchen.
Cons: The plumbing, the windows only 2 opened, & not the bedroom windows, lounge dining room cramped, beds & pillows uncomfortable. Surroundings scruffy and directions incomplete so apartments difficult to find easily solved by stating that the building was The Station Hotel, which was emblazoned on the front of the building.
Okay 5.0
Cons: The property is on main road and not in Rosemarkie about 2 miles away . It was an old hotel turned into apartments also the toilets have macerator with are very loud
Good 7.0
Pros: No breakfast available. Location was good
Cons: In general the fittings were poor. The shower door would not close properly in any room and one was out of action. Kitchen was well stocked. Limited bedside lights and no mirrors.
Okay 5.0
Pros: Welcome pack of bread eggs etc and even a tub of delicious ice cream in freezer.
Cons: Beds in room 2 very uncomfortable. Lounge dark and pokey TV too high up on wall, got a sore neck trying to watch. Nowhere to hang up outside coats. Windows all painted shut(except kitchen). Noisy plumbing. Located on busy and noisy main road.
Okay 5.4
Pros: Room was clean.
Cons: Only one towel between the two of us. No staff were around so had to fend for ourselves. Shower would not drain. Would have liked the opportunity to have had breakfast before we left but there was little chance as no staff were working.

Pros: The area
Cons: Couldn't get any food as there had been a function on . Other wise ace
Okay 5.0
Pros: Lively bar
Cons: Beds in twin room adjoining double room were extremely uncomfortable, I had back pain for days from bed springs
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Staff were so friendly and helpful, food was excellent. Room spotlessly clean with very comfortable beds and pillows.
Cons: There was a wedding on so we had to eat in the bar which was very noisy and rowdy. Too much for the kids so we ended up with food in the room.
Good 6.0
Pros: Friendly staff and decent room. Bar looked good.
Cons: Poor sound insulation between the room I was staying in and the adjacent room (10 and 8). It was possible to make out some of the conversation next door and didn't feel very private. But probably to be expected for a cheaper hotel.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Becky and Peter have been really kind and accommodating during our stay. Food was good. We definitely recommend this place.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Proper pub g
Cons: Enjoyed staying here s bit old for bunk beds but staff were great

Good 6.0
Pros: Friendly staff , especially “Shona by the way” and Sheena. Great food . From our room we saw deer at times during the day and badgers at night. Great location for exploring Culloden Battlefield and Fort George.
Cons: I booked the deluxe room for my husbands birthday weekend . Our room was disappointingly old fashioned, shabby , and in need of total refurbishment to be described as deluxe.
Okay 5.0
Pros: Good service at breakfast time and plenty of breakfast
Cons: When we arrived we were told we could not eat in until 7.30pm. I think there were 12 guests staying. When we had our meal I had to wait an hour for my pizza!!! On top of that we were told we couldn't have breakfast till 9am . We were flying home and had to drop off a hire car. The beds were hard, uncomfortable and need replacing. Even there were a few guests it was clear a local chose in conversation to use the f word in every sentence and loud enough for all guests to hear, not pleasent
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Shona was very nice so friendly
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Very clean, comfortable and large room with ample sized en-suite bathroom. Good food offering and super freshly cooked breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful and parking on site was never an issue.
Cons: No dislikes at all.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Food good. Location excellent, but hotel needs lots of updating and smartening up
Cons: Service in restaurant.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff, hotel and the service was very good. We would like to recommend it to our family 👪. The beach is nearby the property. 2 miles away from Fort Gorge.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Evening meal was excellent. Home cooked, fresh and very tasty. Breakfast was fine.
Cons: Dining Room was a bit dull, tired and over run with plants. Bedroom was above kitchen and affected with noise and smells. Shower curtain was not effective a left floor very wet.
Okay 5.0
Pros: The owners were friendly and the location in the small village of Ardersier was great.
Cons: The furnishings were tired and the whole place needs sprucing up. In our room, the double bed was two beds zipped together, so there was a ridge down the middle where they joined which was very uncomfortable. Other hotels using this system seem to join horizontally and then use a topper to prevent this from happening. The bed was also rather too firm but this is a personal preference rather than an issue. Overall we stayed at three other properties on this trip, all charging similar amounts but for superior rooms / better-maintained properties.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The receptionist Shona was very pleasant and helpful the breakfast was brilliant nice place for walking
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Great food and friendly staff.
Cons: Bed was ok but felt like there was a plastic sheet on since was very sweaty underneath me.
Good 6.0
The rooms were big enough and cosy however had a musty smell. They were old and dated. The staff were very friendly and did their best to accommodate us. Whilst the accommodation needs an update it was an enjoyable stay
