Located in Teahupoo, Villa BO provides free WiFi, and guests can enjoy an outdoor swimming pool, a shared lounge and a garden. A continental breakfast is available daily at the bed and breakfast. A terrace is available for guests at Villa BO to use.
Pros: The view was amazing plus the pool, the staff were friendly and took great care of us, cooking delicious local food. Beautiful place. The pool was lovely to with that lovely view.
Cons: No complaints
Pros: The hosts were amazing!! We had a lovely, relaxing time at Villa BO.
Pros: Breakfast was a very good value.
Cons: Not one of the vents/windows have screens so there were a LOT of mosquitoes! There are only 3 rooms, not 4 as advertised. The 2nd bed doesn't have a mosquito net. The room smelled of vomit when we arrived but that cleared up after a day. Mosquitoes! Also, for the price I'd expected a MUCH nicer place. It is at least a factor of 2 too expensive compared to the other 7 places we stayed in French Polynesia. Not comfortable. Way too expensive.
Pros: View from the pool was lovely, but unfortunately nothing else about this property was enjoyable.
Cons: We didn't find the hosts very friendly or welcoming. We booked the double room and was surprised to find we were sleeping in the hosts home sharing their bathroom. Certainly wasn't clear on the listing that this would be the case. The bed was very uncomfortable and the mosquitos bothersome. There are three cats that live in the host home which may not be an issue for some people, but not good for people who are allergic to cats.
Pros: Great view and private room
Cons: Absolutely nothing in the room such as a kettle. Towels and pillows smelt. The hosts played the tv very loudly while we were trying to relax on the deck and do not go here unless you really like cats.
Pros: The view of the beach was amazing. The bed was one of the comfiest beds I slept on during the trip. The place was very well maintained. The hosts were friendly.
Cons: An option to use a/c would have been nice. Also a chair or two to sit on in the room would have been nice as the bed was the only to sit. Room was smaller than expected. A tv in the room would also have made the stay feel more cozy.
Pros: The view from the house and room (and pool!) were beautiful. The room had cute decorations and was very spacious, it even had a bathtub!! Despite being just a 3 min ride from Teahupoo beach it is on a hill so it felt quiet and secluded. The hosts were both delightful, they gave us great advice on activities and food and made us our best breakfast from our time in French Polynesia (so fresh!).
Cons: Up a hill from beach so if you don’t have car it can be a steep walk. (Not a problem for us, just could not think of anything else)
Pros: Wonderful owners who made our experience in a small localised area very enjoyable.
9.8 Excellent (20 reviews)
The best vacation rental in the beautiful surfing village of Teahupoo, this four-bedroom two-bathroom house is ideally located a five-minute walk from the shore break and a two-minute walk to a crystal clear river pool. Surfers can be in the lineup in less than a half an hour by a jog to the point and a quick paddle out. This quiet community is unique in Tahiti both for its laid back surfing atmosphere and for its uncommonly welcoming and traditional Polynesian ambiance. The artistic wooden house is 1,250 square feet plus a huge 270 square foot deck so you can practically live outdoors. The house is an octagon with an open-air area at its center - a mangosteen tree grows out of the middle and the area brings in lots of light as well as views of the mountains, and at night, the moon. All the main rooms have teak floors while the bathrooms and kitchen are tiled. The custom made windows and kitchen cabinetry are made from hardwoods and the house is furnished with Bali style teak furniture. The home is designed to catch tropical breezes so it's often noticeably cooler than outside even without air-conditioning. Over 18 types of fruit grow in the 3/4 acre garden including the usual suspects like mango, papaya, pineapple, passion fruit, banana and lime but also rare species to Polynesia such as giant South American pink pomelos, cinnamon and cocoa. Hiking trails, kayaking, snorkeling, surfing and swimming are literally right outside the door. One third of a mile from the main road, the house is quiet, far from any traffic and is perfect for children and active families. Located in Taiarapu-Est, Pueu Village is by the sea, within a 15-minute drive of Motu Nono and Mitirapa Beach. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and laundry facilities. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The location was great. Easy to find and access. The facilities are basic and serviceable. Very tranquil. A perfect place to chill out for a few days. Good for swimming and basic snorkeling. Good lagoon access for kids. Note to travelers in this part of Tahiti, it is very difficult to exchange money anywhere but in Papeete.
Cons: Kitchen was a bit basic, so if you want to cook you should bring a few tools, paper plates, and kitchen towels. Also spices or other enhancements. Shopping in Tareveo is easy and all food prep. needs are readily available for purchase.
Pros: Victor and his family are lovely and helpful people and made me very welcome. Great vibe, MANA! :>
Pros: Very friendly people! And well maintained grounds!
Pros: Very friendly host. Nice location. Excellent place to chill out
Pros: The warm greeting by the hosts. Being able to self cater. Free parking. The sea so close to the chalet. The clothesline with pegs supplied. Mosquito net. The big pond full of fish. Only 4 chalets. Soft clean white towels.
Pros: The cottage was very comfortable and had all the amenities that we required. We especially liked the idea of our own private pool. Everything was very clean and well taken care of.
Cons: We found it interesting that there was 3 of most things - except only 1 lounge chair.
Pros: Very friendly owner, nice view, privacy
Pros: This is a reasonably basic place with a nice host. The cooking facilities were adequate and there is a good supermarket only 10 minutes by car.
Cons: There is not much around Pueu to do, it is about 40 minutes to Teahupoo if that is of interest to you.
Pros: It was a wonderful get away from it all location Our hosts were just fantastic! We planned to do so much but once we got there we just did not want to move and we did not!
Pros: Location really beautiful - this is not for the traveller who is more concerned about international hotel type facilities but was wonderful for getting a quiet genuine location and a feel of the island with just a lovely family business. Kayaks included and actually although the plunge pool may look a little naf it was great for a rinse off
Cons: No beach but that's just how it is there and the garden was lovely Plastic chairs but on the other hand everything was so thoughtful the family were really trying to cater for your needs

Pros: Louisa and husband were great very friendly and helpful with kids Great to use the paddle boards and kayaks Kids loved it Great location amazing Bit of a trick to find but we found that with all locations in Tahiti. Basic but very comfortable stay - this is reflected in the great price though. All that we needed and more. Very clean bungalows We will would definitely recommend and be bak again Beach front Absolute Paradise for a us - quiet, Kids were in the water busy, very relaxing, surfing, hot shower. Thanks thanks NZ Fraser whanau
Pros: These surf bungalows are great. The location is quiet, well appointed and first rate for enjoying the ocean and the area. The hosts are top-notch. Very kind and helpful. The facilities include a simple kitchen with a good sized fridge. Four burner propane stove with oven and basic cooking gear. Bring your own knives and spices to enhance the cooking experience.
Cons: Everything was grand. We will likely come back to this location.
Pros: The location, the hosts and the locals, the food, the surf, the fruits, the frequent rainbows, the views, the smell of vanilla and flowers in the air, their delicious Hinano beer, the island life. There is no place quite like it. The bungalows are basic but equipped with everything you need (towels, bedsheets, cutlery, pans, a gas oven and a fridge) and they are cozy. Most beautiful surroundings I have ever seen. There's a grocery store 20min away in Taravao and the snack restaurant Hinerava at the end of the road is delicious. Lucia was an amazing host and she went above and beyond for us. Merci Lucia! We will be back soon :)
Cons: That we couldn't stay longer!
Pros: Great location and free usage of paddle and kayak. The spot is just in front of the house! There is no breakfast which I read in some previous comments, instead you can go to a local market 5-10 minutes driving. 25 minutes you will also find a big Carrefour.
Cons: There is no WiFi. You cannot park in the property so you will need to leave your car in a public parking near the beach, anyway, they offered free shuttle from/to the Bungalow.
Pros: Absolutely amazing accomodation with one of the best views we have seen. The hosts were really welcoming and we really enjoyed our stay here. The breakfast was the best we have ever had in over 20 countries visited. Kia ora.
Pros: Wonderful location. Very calm. Nice beach. Nice to take out the free provided SUP's to the reef over the shallow coral gardens. Teahupoo is a magical place, not just for wave surfers but also to enjoy the nature and relax. Ideal for family with kids. Very nice to take a boat tour through the lagoon.
Cons: The stairs to the second level are very steep without a hand rail. The inner roofing is prone to release some dust.
Pros: Fantastic location. Most beautiful place in Tahiti. Past the end of the road, across a Bailey bridge and 5 mins walk along the lagoon. Facing the world famous surf break. No food available. But on the bridge’s road side there is an excellent restaurant (open only 12-15 and 18-20), with huge portions.
Cons: Nothing. Keep in mind Tehaupoo is dead after 8pm
With a stay at this cabin in Taiarapu-Est, you'll be 9.6 mi (15.4 km) from Maui Beach and 11.3 mi (18.2 km) from The Water Gardens of Vaipahi. Featured amenities include luggage storage, laundry facilities, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Beautiful beach and nice people English was not good But they did let me cancel the 2nd night stay
Cons: To far from anything and the place was very very old cute from the outside but needed a great deal of updating
Cons: Musty smell (leaky plumbing?)
Pros: Awesome beaches and great value for money in a beautiful location. The AC in the bunglows was a great addition for a person from the far north where the temperatures never get that high.
Cons: A car is just about a must for the location as there are no real shops or restaurants nearby from which to get something to eat. The city center is not far, but I walking it for lunch and dinner could be a bit too much. :)
Pros: Great rustic location out of Papeete for rest and relaxation. Mother Nature
Pros: The accomodation is located right by the beach.
Cons: Breakfast was not included however this was one of the reasons we decided for this accomodation, cayak rent was not for free, dishes were greasy
Pros: Lovely peaceful location on the waters edge.
Pros: Peace and cleanliness
Cons: Breakfast was very poor (Bread and butter only and cheap fruit juice...) Shops (grocery) are quite far from the Fare
Pros: The location is ideal if you are for somewhere quiet to chill,a car or scooter is a must as there are no shops in walking distance from the property. The sunrise viewed from here is amazing.
Cons: Mosquitos are a real issue along with the cocks crowing 24/7
Cons: The property is beautiful. It was very far away from the main areas to do things. If your looking for seclusion, then this is for you. There were no sheets on two of the 3 beds, just the fitted sheets. There was also a large gap in the door for large insects to enter the bungalow. In all fairness I did realize that it was far out within minutes of booking, however I would incur a one night cancelation fee for booking so close to the time I was arriving. We stayed one night and forfeited our other two nights and incurred the cancellation fee to go else where.
Pros: Amazing stay. Carlos is perfect and friendly host.
