Unfortunately, I was there for one night only, would have loved exploring the place bit more (maybe next visit along with my family)! However, it was wonderful One Night Stay :). The owners (brother and sister) were quite helpful, it was wonderful to chat with him over breakfast next day morning and while travelling to the airport! He was a nice Russian gentleman (although the place is good and comfortable, simply because of his nice nature I would give 10 out of 10 points to my experience). I booked for a shared room, but they gave me a separate room for me alone, and it was quite relaxing after tiring bus travel from Stuttgart to here (on a weekend). The place has options for renting a bike, food, drinks, and other options. Very near to the train station, grocery stores and other needs like restaurants etc., (walking distance only).
No negatives for the place, but my experience reaching there was bit tiring, as on that day there was a strike of drivers (union) and I couldn't reach there on time from the airport - by bus or a train and had to use a taxi in the late-night (which of course was expensive). Overall, the place is Bang-On, for your money!
Very friendly host, nice countryside atmosphere.
One of my best hostel experience, the room is small but perfect for one person, very comfortable, Host Andrew is warm, friendly with good sense of humor, he is so kind to wait me for a very late (mid-night) check in and also show me the parking slot.
Nice friendly staff, very comfortable beds
There was no soap in the shower
The hosts were very friendly and helpful, even carried our suitcases up to the room. We had a room with 1 bunkbed and 2 single beds. Plenty of space. Had a little TV on the wall and a refridgerator and table with lamp. The beds were comfortable. The hosts took the time to tell us about a little park nearby where the kids could play, and where the local grocery stores were, within shopping distance. Even printed out a map for us. Breakfast was delicious and very inexpensive. They had board games and other games that we could borrow and bring up to our room. The kids really liked that.
I don't have any complaints about the hostel itself. They were wonderful. However, if you get back late at night (after 8pm), it can be hard to find a parking spot close to the hotel. One night I even had to park about 500m away. During the day, there is no trouble parking though. There was also a lot of road construction happening when we visited (July 2019), making it a little harder to get in and out of the city, but again, the hostel had no control over that.
