Not Bad but not Great
My favorite things about the "resort" would have to be the location and the view from our 9th floor room. A lot of great food and drink choices within short walking distance and the beach was right across the street. The waterfront view was spectacular.
I didn't care for the late check-in time, 4pm. I got there at noon but didn't get my key until 3:55pm. Don't show up early as you will just be sitting in the lobby. I didn't care for the size of the beds. Two small twin beds, very uncomfortable for three people. Also, when I was there the "resort" was doing renovations, no pool. Wish I would have known earlier
The hotel was overall very nice. The lobby was bright and white and clean. The beach was across the street and close to the local shops and restaurants . Beds were comfortable, WE atyed on the 11th floor , side ocean view, Mostly the bay and parking lot view with a small balcony. Overall decent hotel for the price and length of stay .
We booked an Ocean view room and were downgraded to partial view the day of overlooking the bay and parking lot. Because the room was downgraded they gave us complementary breakfast and transportation to the Hilton Ft Lauderdale to use their pool. (they were under renovations) so the pool was also closed. The rooms was fine but the sliding door to the bathroom was broken and wouldn't close. The water pressure for the shower was not very good. At check out they still charged me for the ocean front view, in which a manager was called in to correct the fees. The restaurant (Breezes) did not offer soy or almond milk for people with dairy allergies.
one night on the beach
A very good front beach hotel. Confortable and afordable for a beach front. Thanks to the staff.
Far from downtown.
Hotel needs to be maintained regularly
The complimentary cookies that were given to me.
Maintenance work in the lobby made it look very unpleasant. Shower in room did not work at all. I was moved to another room and the sink was clogged. Inexcusable!
Great staff make up for lackluster rooms
The staff were incredibly helpful and very friendly. Easily some of the best service I've ever received at a hotel.
The toilet was leaking and the A/C unit was extremely loud.
Over priced. Many hidden fees. $22.00 for parking $7.00 for WiFi (no free wifi) $18.00 for breakfast (no free breakfast) 18% hidden gratuity on food orders Hard beds Old hotel Roaches Will not be back.
Not great for a single night
For the price, the hotel room is dated, ugly and the beds and sheets are small and uncomfortable. I was traveling for work and I arrived at the hotel late, just looking for a comfortable nights' sleep before leaving early the next day. I did not find that. It was a sad room to call home for the night, especially for the price. I also waited for 30 minutes to check in while there was only one person working at reception and they were helping another guest. When you're exhausted and know that you'll only get a few hours of sleep, this becomes frustrating. Maybe this place is good for someone staying longer and can take advantage of the location.
Bahia Mar in Ft. Lauderdale
Loved the location. There were so many places within walking distance. And not too far away by car were several plazas with shopping and eateries.
Not really a spot for childless couples to get away. But we made the best of it.
Horrible service, no potable water
The rooms were clean
When I arrived we were informed that the water main has been shut down and the water is not for drinking or showering. The hotel said we can get a reservation down the road(horrible location) and will cancel our reservation if we would like. The couldn't even guarantee the same rate at the other hotel. Usually when a huge inconvenience like this happens, things are comped and rooms upgraded, this was not the case and was told we could basically stay at the hotel where we made a reservation over a month in advance, or we could leave. I chose to stay because I didn't want to gamble with another hotel that I had done no research on. My experience with Bahia mar was terrible as far as customer service and guest relations
Just ok nothing to write home about!
We were walking distance from the beach literally across the street. Also on a very popular strip close to many bars, restaurants and novelty shopping. And pretty much less than a 15 minute drive from anywhere we wanted to go.
"Liquor Store" across the street was deceiving as it had very little liquor BUT did have Fatt Tuesday Slushies. Oh also they charge $25 a day for self parking & $30 a day valet ON TOP OF a $50 per day hold (that is returned 1-5 days after you check out). Besides that
Water in tub disnt drain...Room smelles of a oder.
Really nothing stood out
Construction around the pool all day,Bathtubs water disnt drain, room smelled, loud music coming from next room over every night..very bad time
