Location is strategic, nearby clock tower of Fraser Hill. Can take a brisk walk around the hotel. Breakfast with scrumptious food. Plenty of parking, got few eateries & grocery shop nearby to buy medicine, snacks or foods. Staff was helpful.
There is information & history about fraser's hill.
Location was excellent.
Toilet was leaky and wet. Card lock didn't work. Windows were hard to open. Food could be better. No wifi in the room.
Friendly and helpful staff. Egg station at breakfast. Plenty of hot water. Hot water on sink.
Very run down and dilapidated. Consistent problem with dripping/running toilet cisterns. Extremely dusty and dirty floors behind beds, dirty cupboards, variable taps. Carpets not properly cleaned in years. Dirty window frames. The lobby had an unattended television blaring violent and extreme language with young children present. Nobody seems to care that DIE YOU M*****F***** was being blared across the foyer when small children were present. There are two vintage computer games from circa 1985 in the lobby, they have a sign saying to pay at reception if you want to play. Seriously? Does anyone actually stop to think if this is appropriate in 2019 when children have ipads? Why are they still there gathering dust? For the same reason there were Iron marks made 20 years ago on the carpet and still not dealt with. For the same reason there is a console between the beds with 6 buttons on which was the height of technology in 1978 but is just crass today, only 2 of the buttons actually do anything. For the same reason that the phone does not work: Nobody actually gives a damn, the purpose of Shahzan inn is to employ local Malay staff and keep it from going bankrupt.
