How was beautiful and had a lot of history. Rooms were very clean.
Overall, there wasn't much to do on a blustery Fall afternoon except go to the casino and breathe second hand smoke. Almost everything was overpriced.
Beautiful Hotel with Very Helpful Staff
The hotel was beautiful. It has been updated nicely, but you can still see the "history" in everything. The staff was very helpful. One of the staff members voluntarily drove us around the grounds in a golf cart and gave us a great history of the hotel. The beds and pillows were so comfortable we wanted to buy them. The front porch was very relaxing with rocking chairs and enjoyable music.
The pizza place in the lower level was not bad, but not great. Prices were a little high.
