Pros. The Windsor Hotel is located within walking distance of Cornavin (train station) , the bus station and easy walking distance to the lake. The hotel, having a modern minimalist, design was clean and comfortable. While the room was small it was adequate for our visit. Breakfast was fine with fresh fruit, cheeses, meat, hard boiled eggs and a variety of breads. Staff was friendly and helpful with suggestions of activities in the off season, when tours are not operating. The exercise room was large and well equipped for a hotel of its size.
Cons. This hotel is one the edge of the Red Light District, however we were not bothered by people on the streets.If one is strictly English speaking, there were no English TV stations subscribed such as BBC news. The in room amenities were scarce, while we had a coffee machine, there were no cups, nor coffee. Our room had no desk or table.
