THe restaurant and bar. The sea front location. Friendliness of staff. good menu and high standard of food. The room was very basic and felt grubby. The bed was noisy and uncomfortable. i feel teh room needed a refit.
The room was warm, the bed was comfortable, there was a reasonably priced restaurant in the hotel There were no relaxing chairs in the room. The card to enter the car park did not work.
Situated opposite the beach and we were lucky enough to get a room with balcony and sea view. It is in need of decorating and new carpets.
Room was reasonably clean and quiet. Lovely view to beach. Smelt a little musty on arrival, but put it down to not being used much over the winter. Leaving the window open for a couple of hours seemed to sort it out.
This is the second time we have stayed at the Hotel Neptune, and we simply cannot fault it. The view from the room gives an uninterrupted view for miles along the wide firm sandy beach in both directions. Do get a room with a sea view because they really use their beach all year round and even on a winters day you can watch kite flying, land yachts and various activities, (check out “leblog” at www.berck-leblog.com) and if you just want to chill out and watch the world go by this ones for you. As a summertime base for a beach style family holiday it is perfect, lots of restaurants and fast food outlets to please all tastes, and if like us you have experienced the nightmare of fussy kids with the meal time mantra of “I don’t like it, it’s not like the one we have at home” and “where’s the tomato sauce” (bless em!) then relax, chicken nuggets are available, throughout the resort. The staff are helpful and friendly and the rooms are comfortable. One last thing because of it’s geographic location your sea view room faces west which gives you the most glorious sunset over the sea, so don’t forget your camera.
Ability to park car off street. Very helpful and polite staff. Hotel is conveniently located on sea front and easy to find. No bad points thje hotel was as described. The room was compact but served our purposes
Great value for money. Spotless room and bathroom with balcony overlooking the beach. Evening meal in panoramic roof top restaurant included was very good, well presented and great value. Breakfast a 'help yourself'was also of a high standard including cereals, fruit, yoghurt, boiled eggs, ham cheese, toast etc. None really, except few staff spoke any English at all so translating the menu was fun and no English tv channels at all if we had wanted them which we didn'T. Word of warning Resort renown for being breezy so jacket or jumper advisable for a stroll. It is an old fashioned resort full of 'beach shops', cafe's a few restaurants and ice cream places. The beach very safe for all with tide going out a long way so shallow water.
We had the choice of eating out either in the hotels own roof top restaurant or numerous others within a few minutes walk & cooking ourselves in the small kitchenette
Right on sea front good position Friendly helpful staff Good resturant Parking facilities Room & bathroom a bit small especially the shower
Ideal situation for a stopover on the way to Callis Hotel not as attractive as it looked in the brochure but in side it was clean and breakfast was good
Spacious room with good facilities but in need of redecoration. Very run down building with wallpaper peeling off damp walls etc.
Location. Size & cleanliness of room. Very friendly staff
Good breakfast, friendly staff. Car park area could be improved.
very private, kids welcome was nice, hot water there, seemed very safe, the kitchen locked there, when it could of been great use for long journey people that would of liked to eat,
Nothing The hotel seemed very shabby.
Very friendly and helpful staff Bathroom very small. No coat hangers in wardrobe.Television not working ,although in fairness we didn"t report it at the time so do not know how promptly this would have been rectified had we done so.
Very clean rooms and comfortable beds. Would definitely return On the boking form it only asked for no of adults and not children which led to confusion over rooms.
Hotel clearly having a major overhaul but that did not detract from our stay. Friendly staff who were very helpful. Dinner was very good in the restaurant and the breakfast was varied and excellent value for money. We would certainly stay here again.
Having stayed at the Hotel Regina for only one night it is not fair to provide an in-depth assessment of this establishment. The Hotel is currently undergoing extensive refurbishment and will be superb when finished. It was clean and comfortable and the food, whilst not gormet was none the less quite good. The receptionist was helpful and spoke excellent English. Nothing in particular springs to mind
Lovely clean hotel, excellent location. Staff very helpful & polite. Great food Nothing really!
How comfortable the beds were an how clean the room was. It could have had a larger selection of food in the machine, like microwave meals. As the supermarket over the road shuts at 8pm and we got back late one night.
comfortable bed It would have been nice to arrive to a warm room especially as it was January and had pre booked., My daughter who was also on our booking had a 4 month old baby with her and was not happy to find the room unheated.
Good Location - Restaurant nearby.
Covenience for visiting the area Beds very hard and uncomfortable
Good staff ,very clean, great location if you have a car. Outside town and no taxi available.
easy convienent to find friendly staf the room could have been warmer maybe an extra blanket would have helped
it was quiet, clean and comfortable. The shower was good. Difficult to find - found by chance. The first sign we saw said '1 minute on left' but it was over several roundabouts then eventually on our right.
so easy to book in and central for bar/resturants and supermarket more foriegn tv ie in english if possible
Welcome ,breakfast,parking,local measls, None
the friendlyness of the staff
Very helpful and friendly staff. Very easy to find. Automatic check-in system didn't work. The cleaning staff (very helpfully) contacted an administration office on our behalf to obtain the room cards from the check-in system. The reception desk is only manned in the morning and late afternoon/early evening. Considerable distance from seafront. Not many options to eat locally, unless you go to France to each MacDonalds.
We liked the convenience and price very much! Located 2 min drive from the beach and 30 seconds from the supermarket! Unfortunately the room smelled damp the soap dispenser in the bathroom wasn't working. There was a hole in the bathroom door, just through the vaneer so we still had privacy. After buying soap and an air freshner it was ok, good for the money!
The location, the friendly staff, the breakfast and value for money
cheap very basic, no charm, no ambience, a bit scruffy
Easy to find A bit close to the supermarket
It was well placed for the road network and as we were driving to various sites in Northern France this suited us. Also liked the fact that there was free parking. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, the mattress was worn out and dipped in the middle. The card operated lock on the door was very temperamental and at one point we were unable to get into our room when hotel reception was closed.
convenient and good value as a stopping point if you are heading west the hotel was clean but scruffy
No real good points Absolutely ridiculous that you cannot check in between 12.00 until 17.00. Staff only present from 17.00 until 19.00 in evening. car parking felt very exposed to potential crime.
