Excellent 10.0
Pros: The property was a delight from the minute we drove in. A welcoming drink was an added bonus and our room was totally unique and well decorated. Our hosts were a great couple. We had game of boule one evening in the garden. The gardens are lovely with lots of quirky features. Honfleur and the coast are a short drive away. Breakfast was well presented and delicious .... we would definitely recommend this b&b.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything! Especially the hosts who are incredibly warm and hospital.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: It was the most amazing place I have ever stayed.
Cons: We didn’t get to stay long enough
Excellent 10.0
Pros: A peaceful and enchanting sanctuary with many areas in the garden to enjoy the plentiful birdlife and just relax. Breakfast was served every morning with fine china.. Beautifully furnished rooms and gardens to admire, and the wonderful hosts who went above and beyond to ensure us a comfortable and pleasurable stay.. Pure delight, bliss, comfort and pleasure. So sad to leave but an honour to experience such warm and kind hospitality.
Cons: Leaving !
Excellent 10.0
Pros: A unique experience ! Parfum de Violette is exceptional, and far the best “ Chambre d’hôtes” we have ever been to . Laurence and Daniel ( Jesus) are so welcoming, you feel at home from the outset . The house is very special , and you need to visit it to sense the beauty of it . The breakfast is fantastic , and the meals prepared by Daniel and Laurence in the evening are exquisite. This is a must ! We cannot wait to go back . Thank you so much for an unforgettable stay. Jacqueline and David
Cons: Nothing! It is perfect , thank you .
Excellent 10.0
Pros: OMG,great place .great breakfast. The hosts were with out doubt the most welcoming people I've ever meet..will be going back .QUIRKY. ARTY. FUN..we loved it
Excellent 9.3
Pros: We loved our stay ams feel in love with this place! Wonderful hosts couldn't be more friendly and hospitable, incredible space - we felt like going down the rabbit hole in Alice in Wonderland - and lovely spacious rooms. Best of all was the breakfast which was possibly the best we ever had in a B&B. Would 100% recommend!
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 9.3
Pros: Friendly couple, very ecclectic in style so it is a real experience staying there. The whole stay is an experience in a kind of fantasyland and it takes 5 minutes wrapping your head around it but it really all fits. I felt like Alice who tumbled down the rabbithole. Very well done, great hosts and great breakfast.
Cons: The bed was a bit short for a guy my hight (2+ meters)
Excellent 9.3
Pros: Beautiful and welcoming. Laurence and Jesus and children were completely charming
Cons: Nothing, solid 4 stars for the room and 5 stars for our hosts. I wish there were 6 stars. :)
Excellent 10.0
Pros: A fantastic place with incredible service and attention to details. Faultless dining experience - highly recommended- it is a relaxed and welcoming house that makes you feel truly special. Our room was lovely, and extremely clean. Daniel , Laurence and their children are unique, so friendly , so very helpful and considerate. Wonderful food prepared and served by the Chef Daniel and Laurence. They clearly care by always providing healthy, locally sourced , fresh and delicate food with exquisite flavours. We love every single aspect of this stunning Guest House . This is now our magical place in Normandy , and we will always stop at " Parfum de Violette" to unwind. The location is also excellent to visit Honfleur, Deauville, Pont l'évêque , Route du Cidre, and other great places in Normandy. Highly recommended!
Cons: Nothing , everything outstanding!

Pros: Wonderful estate with estate suite, with everything well kept in style. Very spacious and comfortable, with large room and spacious bathroom with big bath for two. Extra leisure salon in the top floor. Very rich and stylish breakfast served well at our table. Really felt like welcome guests.
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Charming
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Stunning property, fantastic rooms and exceptionally friendly hosts. Highly recommend staying here. Shame we only managed one night.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The chateau was beautiful and offered very interesting and inspiring rooms, as well as a impressive playroom and bar at the top floor. The hosts were very friendly and the breakfast was outstanding. We had a very pleasant stay indeed.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Super friendly hosts who went the extra mile...Martine offered us cider, calvados and rose and took time to converse with us. Melanie (who speaks perfect English) prepared us beautiful fresh fruit bowls, and perfectly boiled eggs from her own chickens. Michel taught us how to play petanque. It's a beautiful house on a huge expansive terrain conveniently close to Honfleur. The room was huge and had wonderful natural light from the south facing windows...even the huge bathroom had 2 large windows. Highly recommend
Cons: No sign on road...need to use GPS coordinates.
Excellent 9.5
Pros: Nice experience to live in this uniq place! You can spend time outside, having a delicious homemade breakfast with eggs, cheeses, croissants with jams-tasty!
Cons: It was rather hot time, no AC.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The welcome was wonderful. We bought some dinner from the supermarket as didn’t want to drive to a restaurant (hic) - Melanie not only stored the food for us - but presented a beautiful table and also cleared.
Cons: Nothing to say...
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Gorgeous property, stunning rooms with antiques and original artwork, and perfect warm and friendly host. It felt like staying at the home of a wealthy, yet down to earth, friend. I would give it a 20 out of 10, if I could!
Cons: It was absolute perfection.
Excellent 9.5
Pros: We felt as if at home))). Lovely house, lovely room, homemade breakfast!

Pros: The hospitality of Huguette and Serge. B' fast (9-10) was always different and everything was fresh and homemade by Huguette herself. They also give you info about places to visit and restaurants. Although my French is limited, and they speak only French, we managed to communicate very well. Parking inside, locked with a gate, very secure.
Cons: Nothing.
Excellent 9.5
Pros: Nice and quiet area. really friendly owners, unfortunately we don’t speak French so not able to have a conversation. Breakfast amazing and fresh. It comes with home made cupcakes, quiches, local products and more. We had a small fridge in our room where to put our own stuff in. Supermarket is about 3km away. WiFi works well which you need as cellphone coverage might be a challenge.
Cons: Nothing to add
Excellent 10.0
Pros: What a lovely B&B! We had an amazing 2 night stay here-absolutely loved the charming location, close proximity to Honfleur. We were hosted by Serge and Huguette’s nueve as they were out of town and she was a wonderful host...the home made breakfasts were delicious. We would definitely recommend this B&B for a relaxing vacation in Normandy.
Cons: Nothing, it was perfect!
Excellent 9.5
Pros: Authentic old house environment, surrounded by farms. Home made breakfast. Congenial hosts.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Beautifully decorated rooms, superb garden , warm welcome with a big smile, delicious home made breakfast, extremely helpful and full of advice, ... the perfect home away from home with a couple of wonderful hosts with a huge hearth.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Huguette and Serge have lovingly created their own tranquil haven. Their home is full of rustic charm and artistic influence from Huguette, who is a talented artist. All rooms are themed and demonstrate Huguette & Serges individual style and humour. Breakfast is superb with local artisan cheeses and freshly prepared eggs from their darling poulets ! All food is organic, and the taste is evident. It really is an experience not to be missed. A short car journey sees you in Honfleur, however it is also well positioned for Deauville and Trouville and for generally exploring the delights of Normandy.
Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Amazing location and warm welcome Perfect view and quietness
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Venue was awesome and hosts were very friendly. Room was great and breakfast was superb
Excellent 8.8
Pros: We were able to check in early and loved our room with a view of the ocean! It also had a clawfoot tub and bathrobes, little things that make your stay just a little nicer! Catherine was a gracious host, she put thought into the nicely arranged table settings and served us great breakfasts. Bed was comfortable and there is enough parking. We really enjoyed our serene stay.
Cons: We had a small TV that didn't have many channels, I couldn't watch any of the Women's World Cup games for example.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Fantastic location, right on the beach and close to the cute little village of Villerville, the slightly larger, Deauville, and only a few km from the magnificent Honfleur. A heated outdoor pool and tennis courts make this a great family place to stay. Great breakfast.
Cons: A little lacking in character and I can’t pretend my husband and I felt enormously welcome. The owners seemed a little cool, not quite what we’ve been used to in France.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The Location is FANTASTIC, The sea views are STUNNING, The room was very clean and the bed was HUGEEEE. The Grounds where kept very tidy, The Swimming pool was outdoor and heated but further down was access to a Beach which was empty and basically just for the guests. Amazing place to relax and getaway. The Breakfast in the morning was YUMMY. A usual french breakfast and they had made us some eggs and bacon too which was very tasty :) The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very modern with a Good Shower. I can Guarantee this will exceed your expectations!!!!!
Cons: The Roads Coming into the Property were a little bumpy, not supercar or lowered car friendly but this property is AMAZING and please do not let this hamper your decision this place is worth every penny. NO pictures or words can do this place justice.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Excellent property, Catherine was very responsive to our issues and prepared a beautiful breakfast each morning! Our room had wonderful views of the Channel and the beds were very comfortable. Trouville provided excellent dining options each evening.
Cons: We stayed here in order to tour and participate in D-Day activities; the drive was a little more than we anticipated to actually reach the festivities. This is not the fault of the property; we should have investigated a little more!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The breakfast was excellent and the location had some great sea views . Just a short walk led to the beach . We found all of the staff very pleasant and very professional. Overall we would recommend this property to anyone.
Excellent 9.3
Pros: We liked everything this place had to offer. We had a delightfully decorated room and a luxurious bathroom. The breakfast offerings in the main house were delicious.
Cons: Bedroom could get a bit hot.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Located in a secluded peaceful area near the coast. Easy access to Trouville and Deauville, just minutes away. Our Baccarat room on the top floor provided excellent views of the sea, coast and sunset. Breakfast was superb. Nice outdoor heated pool and tennis court. Free ample parking. Free WiFi, high speed, both indoors and outdoors. Friendly owner and staff.

Good 6.8
Pros: Style of property
Cons: No breakfast on our first morning.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Check in was very easy Room was large Bathroom was nice Nice and clean
Cons: Couldn’t find the property as location on booking.com is not correct, it sends you 2.3km from property WiFi was not the best but ok
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Unlike some hotels, the property was even better in real life than the photos. It was charming, modern, and very chilled and relaxing. We flew in by Light Aircraft for the D-Day Commemorations, and chose this due to its proximity to the airport (5 mins drive). We didn't get to use the pool, as time didn't allow, however, i should imagine that this, pretty place, would be a dream in midsummer. Staff were very friendly and attentive. We stayed in the apartment, and wow - this was fantastic! Loved it! I'd happily stay here again - its a 5 - 10 minute drive to Deauville and surrounding towns, but that's easy enough. I'd also recommend anyone wishing for a hirecar to use SIXT as they deliver to the airport for collection and drop - again, very straight forward.
Cons: I wish i had more time to enjoy the property - that's all i can say that was negative.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very clean, peaceful place to stay. Everything is immaculate, the garden is well kept and there is a large heated pool. Breakfast is excellent with lots of choice. beds are comfortable and our room was very spacious. Bathroom was very clean with good facilities - plenty of hot water at all times. Although it is close to a road, it is very quiet and you never hear traffic. So pleased we picked this excellent place to stop on our short break.
Cons: Only problem was finding the hotel. We had to stop at the nearest golf club to get directions.
Okay 5.0
Pros: Breakfast, very nicely served & good quality products. Hosts very friendly & helpful.
Cons: Very complicated access to the property. Car was safe once we gained access.enjoyable

Pros: lovely place to stay ,not far from the beach .shops etc . Safe parking , excellent breakfast , great views

Cons: The bump going out of the parking hit the bottom of my car on several occasions
Excellent 9.5
Pros: The sea view from the hotel is beautiful and the ambience is very cozy. The home made breakfast with the sea view in a charming dining room was a highlight of our stay!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great breakfast.
Cons: bathroom was separated from bedroom only by a heavy curtain. a door would be good for privacy.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Wonderful welcome, lovely hosts, beautiful location, fantastic rooms.
Good 6.3
Pros: Breakfast was fantastic.
Cons: Its a very dark place. Much more a B&B than a hotel too. At breakfast there is almost no privacy when more guests are present. Some people will like the English Styled house but we didnt. In the bathroom it was not possible to take a shower, no place to attach the hose. So sitting in the bath was the only option.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very cosy and comfortable stay, beautifully decorated house, amazing view to the sea, friendly host, delicious breakfast
Excellent 9.3
Pros: Location with wonderful sea view & towns of Deauville, Villerville & Honfleur within a few minutes drive. Loved the style of the house. Staff were very welcoming & helpful including our English host (lovely character), nothing seemed too much trouble. Room was very comfortable & enjoyed fabulous breakfast overlooking the garden, entertained by deer a couple mornings as well as various birds. Adequate parking on the grounds with coded gate facility.
Cons: Nothing.

Cons: Absolument excelent , nothing is bad
Excellent 9.5
Pros: Peaceful and friendly
Cons: Track in was a bit bumpy but that’s ok its a farm!
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Spacious room, lovely breakfast, friendly host
Cons: As was mentioned that some rooms had a bath, I had asked when making the reservation to reserve me a room with a bath. When we got there I was told they did not have baths, so that was disappointing. I wished they had told me so that I could make an informed decision whether to go ahead with my booking or not. Further there was no plug that fitted the sink in the bathroom. It is a little detail and at the same time it shows a lack of detailed care which you might expect for that price.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Wonderful place in the middle of an extraordinary natural landscape!!!
Excellent 9.3
Pros: Very friendly reception, comfortable bed and good breakfast.
Cons: 'Floating' wooden floor covering was noisy
Good 6.8
Pros: Location. Rooms were clean. Plastic cups only in the bathroom.
Cons: Little to no explanation about facilities after we spend 10 minutes looking for someone at the property. We had an early departure and unable to access the breakfast which was included in the price. We asked for an earlier breakfast but were not offered one or even a basket of fruit.

Pros: The garden was beautiful and inviting!
Excellent 9.3
Pros: Very pleasant and charming property, staff attended to our every need including a last minute request for diner at the restaurant.
Excellent 9.5
Pros: Friendly staff, comfy bed, robes and slippers, and the restaurant was fabulous.
Excellent 9.5
Pros: Everything else
Cons: Breakfast was a bit expensive
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The breakfast was the most perfect way to start each day! A wonderful choices of cheeses, breads, juices, meats and oh, that rice pudding was dreamy! The atmosphere in the restaurant was rustic elegance and it was a treat to join in for breakfast each day and 4 out of 5 nights we guests at dinner. The room was wonderful as were the beds and bedding! Phillipe was so attendant to our every need while having great humor, elegance and that true hospitality that will bring us back. All the staff was great but Phillipe was that special one! Merci, Phillipe!
Cons: The one thing we wished was a light in the WC that was not connected to the entire room's lighting system. It became a slight disturbance when one of us needed to use the WC in the middle of the night and all the lights would go on.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Charming mix of rustic and elegant. Family suite was ample and comfortable for our family of 4. Beds, linens and pillows all very comfortable. Dinner at the Auberge’s restaurant was lovely.
Mediocre 2.5
Pros: Garden
Cons: Overpriced, unhelpful staff, uncomfortable room, no shower, mediocre food, pretentious.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: The atmosphere and the food.
Cons: The hotel was okey but for the price I was expecting something more. The shower is not good, the hot water is not enough.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: This hotel can only be described as a jewel in Honfleur's Crown. The atmosphere, staff and cleanliness were all of the highest standard
Excellent 9.5
Pros: A beautiful property in a beautiful setting. Gardens beautiful and peaceful. The properties exterior and interior design are faultless. Great proximity to Hondleur.

Cons: The menu in the dining toon a little restricted
Excellent 10.0
Pros: It was a great place to stop over. Although we had no dinner reservation they made space for us. The food was amazing and the bar was very pleasant. Rooms and facilities were excellent.
Excellent 9.3
Pros: The restaurant and food were outstanding. We were very well looked after and the staff wonderful. We were looking for Calvados and the location of the Manoir was ideal. Deauville and Honfleur markets were a short trip away.
Cons: The only thing I didn’t like was the shower over the bath. The position of the head was not adjustable and aimed at the far wall. Not comfortable and the floor got very wet.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The helpful staff nothing was a problem, our evening waiter was excellent friendly, courteous and always willing to oblige, he is a credit to the establishment. The meals were superb and cooked to perfection, great credit to your chefs, always a good variety of food at the breakfast buffet.
Cons: Only ONE criticism the pillows were too small and far to hard for me at least.Extremel
Good 7.5
Pros: Good location. Friendly staff. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. Big comfortable beds.
Cons: On the day of our visit the Sauna was not working and the jacuzzi was an integral part of the pool so the water temperature was the same as the pool. So as a spa it was disappointing.

Pros: The restaurant was expensive, which is not an issue except that quality of the food did not match the price.. Coffee at breakfast was very bad..
Cons: The view and overall ambiance of the hotel.. great location
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Beautiful building, big room, amazing views, charming breakfast, great dinner, deserted beach
Cons: Nothing to fault, a place to come for days to rest and read
Excellent 10.0
Cons: We would have like facilities in the room to make tea or coffee.
Good 7.5
Pros: We had a lovely, spacious room with a view of the sea and private balcony.
Cons: The staff weren't particularly welcoming when we arrived early. The room wasn't ready and we were just left to wait in the car. If you have mobility limitations, make this clear when booking because some of the rooms are difficult to access with steep stairs.
Excellent 9.3
Pros: Rooms were very comfortable. The hotel is very clean and the grounds well manicured. Breakfast was a treat!! Unfortunately we missed the dinner.
Cons: Parking is mildly inconvenient
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Lovely location, tucked away in the country/woods. Not cheap but worth the expense. Excellent meals, welcoming and professional staff.
Cons: The electric room shutters with inward opening windows mean no air at night unless the shutter is left up. Just ok in May but a problem in warmer weather
Excellent 8.8
Pros: The rooms were spacious and nicely appointed. Views were amazing.
Cons: As it was rather warm when we were there windows needed to be open. No screens on the windows and bugs flew in.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: First rate location with excellent room and verandah. Completely comfortable. Breakfast and evening meal were faultless. Staff were friendly and helpful, and tennis as well, which was a bonus
Excellent 9.5
Pros: The location sesnary quality of food servise by the staff
Cons: Food and accomadation quite expensive
Good 6.3
Pros: Large room
Cons: Room was not ready ready until 15.45 and then we had to move room after the first night ( so they could allocate 3 rooms from another booking next to each other) There was no apology for this just the excuse that it was " Bookings.Com fault" Room and restaurant decor was very dated Small terrace garden to the room was cluttered with sun loungers and grass/plants were not weeded

Pros: The property was a 10 min drive to a beautiful beach. The property itself was lovely. The room was a good size. The host accommodated breakfast for my gluten free diet and even bought rice cakes so I could enjoy her delicious homemade jams.
Excellent 9.3
Pros: Lovely quiet spot to stay. Our hosts were very welcoming and the breakfast was fantastic, the homemade jams were amazing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very cozy place and Martine is a really welcoming person
Cons: Nothing... everything was very good!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Friendly greetings and awesome breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: There are just too many fantastic things about "Chambres d'hotes" ...- the home made jams......... First of all the place is just a dream - lets' start with Martine and her breakfasts. The "family" table sits 10 people, in other words everybody (during our stay it was very international) an Englishman, two people from Denmark, a Russian and a German - as well as two French ladies) from the four garden houses - so it was a cosy get-together every morning with a fantastic "farmhouse" atmosphere. Martine serves her home-made marmelade/jams (just paradise on the tongue!) and, in addition, lots of fantastic fruit, pastries, etc., just yummy !! Maybe I should have started with the arrival - you drive into the parking lot and are immediately greeted by an old lady cat who gives you the eye inspection. Lady Cat calls up a squad of chickens, two big, two small ones wearing "pampers" who escort you to the front arrival door. After this inspection, Martine hands you the key to your Lodge. Wow, the Lodge smells of flowers and perfume, beautifully decorated, super clean - after you have yelled with joy its' time for an inspection of the garden - a view over the fields, whispering trees, fruit hanging on the garden plants - mmmmmm!!! The whole set-up is just a dream - rain or sun - far above anything we expected. And only 10 minutes into Deauville............. What can I say, after a long day touring the area (we were there for D-Day celebrations) we looked forward to coming home to the Lodge. Martine and her accomodation truly made our trip a trip to remember (we stayed at a hotel on Mont Saint Michel a few days later) but it will always be Martine's Lodge that stays in our memory. This accomodation, in our opinion, is seven star plus!!
Cons: The stay was too short (we were there for five nights in total), we would have preferred two months - at least!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything was extremly beautiful - breakfast, garden, summer house. Martine is very hospitable and attentive host, kindly offered to choose between two rooms as so as both were free. Our one night stay was very calm and no one would disturb you - best place to relax. We enjoyed morning nature view, breakfast with local meet and cheese and garden berries with music on a beautiful terrace with a garden view and flowers. It was a great experience, dreaming of returning again. Greetings from Moscow!

Excellent 9.3
Pros: Really lovely host, gorgeous farm house type property, nice comfortable room and bed.
Cons: there was hardly any soap in the bottle and toilet roll. Sadly only noticed it late in the evening so couldn't ask the host. Would be nice to find these things upon arrival.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: There was nothing to dislike! This should really be a Michelin star (& I'm not the only guest that wrote this in the visitors' book). The hostess & staff were welcoming & helpful & the food was superb. Also they have a beautiful Burmese blue cat.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 9.5
Pros: The breakfast was excellent with fresh bread and croissants and homemade jam.
Excellent 9.5
Pros: Room was small but very clean and nicely furnished with a very comfortable bed. The door opened onto a little terrace area with a table and chairs and there was a larger area with tables and chairs further on. I would imagine this would be a good place to have a family gathering with rooms opening onto the terrace and plenty of places to sit outside. Good food and very pleasant staff too. Good value for money.
Excellent 9.3
Pros: The welcome from the host., the lovely gite, everything you could need was there. Just a little far away from good restaurants. But we loved our stay there. Breakfast was super.
Cons: Everything was great. Nothing to dislike
Excellent 9.3
Pros: The place is absolutely amazing. We stayed overnight, going through Honfleur to Deauville, and enjoyed being in non-touristic area. The best part is the restaurant managed by the owners, where you can get "Michelin level" dinner (both food and service, IMO) for affordable price.
Excellent 9.3
Pros: Breakfast was somewhat different then I was used to, (but good enough. The room was comfortable, all facilities are included. Dinner was satisfactory, staff very hospitably.
Cons: On arrival I overlooked the actual location of the hotel, partly my own fault because I made a type error with the address, also I did not recognize the hotel since from the outside it looks like a local restaurant.
Excellent 9.5
Pros: Very clean, friendly and welcoming. Evening meal is excellent-delicious food and good choice of wine. Highly recommend this place!
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Charming welcome and we were well looked after throughout our short stay.
Cons: Be prepared for the 7am ringing of the angelus from the (lovely) nearby church!
Excellent 9.3
Pros: we arrived very late and the owners made sure that we were taken care of. Very friendly and would highly recommend for a basic hotel
Cons: Rooms quite dated but very clean

Pros: Good facilities for small hotel
Excellent 10.0
Pros: all
Cons: nothing
Excellent 8.8
Pros: A very cozy hotel that has an outdoor and indoor pool and all the necessities. Overall - was glad to stay there :)
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Very good large comfortable family room
Okay 5.0
Pros: The staff were very, very nice and couldn’t have been more helpful.
Cons: Our room wasn’t cheap but we did pay for an attic room. This was a mistake as you couldn’t swing a cat and we kept bumping our heads in the ceiling!! The tiles in the bathroom and toilet were cracked and the shower kept going from hot to cold. This isn’t usually a problem but on the last morning it turned from warm to scorching hot, burning my back quite badly!!! Usually, I don’t complain but I do feel that basic health and safety issues are important!
Good 6.3
Pros: firendly staff
Cons: roon quality, The towels for the pool were not the best queality and old and you need to to make a cash deposit of € 40 to have access to them and return them directly to the front desk. You have to call the front desk in order to use the sauna at the SPA, but there is no phone at the spa. They offer room service but are too busy to take room service to the room. Waiting for an hour for dinner to be served.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: The hotel, pool and grounds were lovely.
Cons: The cost of drinks in the bar were too high. 9 euros for a pint of beer was too much. The upshot of that was the bar was empty in the evenings because drinks were just too expensive to sit there and enjoy and it therefore lacked any atmosphere. The menu in the restaurant was a bit too posh for our liking. We would have liked to see something like steak or mussels instead of carpaccio of foie gras and goats cheese in pasta cannelloni. Our room was very small and a not a nice place to stay in for any length of time. Tea and coffee making facilities would have been nice.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: restaurant staff were polite to the extreme with exceelent service
Cons: we were in an attic room so headroom was lacking in bathroom & toilet
