We stayed July 4, 2013 and had an incredible visit! Everything from check in to check out was excellent. The room was exceptionally clean, with comfortable bedding, plenty of towels, and Starbucks coffee. The hotel staff were more than accommodating. We loved the indoor/outdoor pool! Overall, we highly recommend this hotel.
Was a great hotel to stay in, minus the hot tub was broken. Was really the main reason we stayed at this property. I was pretty disapointed in that, but had it been working it would of been a perfect night stay. Was very quiet and a very nice room.
My stay was over a year ago, and I was traveling for work. The hotel had a nice area outside, unfortunately it was cold and raining so I could not fully appreciate it. The hotel restaurant was nice and had a very good menu.
Great hotel, great staff very kid friendly.. we had a blast
I have stayed at this hotel many times in the past, has always been nice. Don't know what happened but I was there 3 days and killed three different bugs, it gave me the willies.
Spent one night at the hotel. While the lobby was pleasant enough the room was tired. The bathroom needed updating and the shower did not drain. We had to get 'Engineering' to attend to the shower which resulted in acid being poured down the shower drain while we were in the room!!! That was then followed by housekeeping that had to clean the floor -- in case we got acid on our feet. There was no offer to change rooms etc. We also had multiple issues with the room charges on our credt card and got different, inexperienced staff each time we called, none of whom seemed sufficiently -- or cared enough -- to actually rectify the billing problems. We would NOT stay there again.
When calling Sheraton direct or trying to book online they wanted $* per night for the standard room. I ended up booking the room with my airline, and it worked out to $*/night. When I checked in and asked if my Starwood account would be getting credit for the stay I was curtly told 'No! You booked through a third party so you get no credit. But if you spend money on food or incedentals we will give you credit for that.' Gee thanks for nothing. The fridge in my room sometimes worked if you wiggled the cord at the back of the unit. There was dust and chewed gum behind the desk, and the free internet worked SOMETIMES, and was horribly slow. The restaurant/pub was decent, but on karaoke night the singing was extremely loud (and bad!), and they would not turn down the volume. Due to many evening receptions and parties being booked in finding parking for guests was next to impossible. Most of the spaces were then EMPTY in the morning after all the reception guests had left. I stayed in this hotel last year when it was a Wydham, and I must say the rates, ammenities, and services were so much better before Sheraton bought it out. I travel to Harrisburg every year for business, and I doubt I would stay here again.
Our room at the Sheraton Harrisburg Hershey was very clean and comfortable. We (two adults and two 11 year old girls) had booked a room with a king sized bed and a sofa bed billed to sleep two people. When we arrived we pulled out the sofa bed and found it barely large enough to sleep one person. The staff was very nice about switching us to a room with two double beds for the same rate. The pool was wonderful, but we spent so much time at Hershey Park, we didn't have much time to use it, even though it's open from 5:00 am to 11:00 pm. The trip to Hershey Park is quick and easy if there's no traffic, but be forewarned, Rt 322 can get very congested, particularly on Saturday. I rated this hotel very highly, but wish they would offer the continental breakfast to all guests, not just those in the club level rooms. All in all, this hotel offers comfortable accomodations at a reasonable price.
This was a clean well kept hotel. It was a small drive to Hershey Park. It is located next to several restaurants.
To start the fridge in our room did not work. When the air conditioner kicked on and ran it was extremely loud. We requested our rooms changed. The fridge in our new room also did not work. When taking showers we had to wait 10 minutes in between that is how long it took for the water to drain. That morning around 730a the power went out completely. Also, for as big as the building is there was only one washer and dryer and the dryer did not work. I stayed here because of all the nice reviews and not at all what I expected.
There is not negative thing that I can say about this hotel. Food was OUTRAGEOUSLY AMAZING. Rooms and beds unbelievably comfortable. (Haven't slept that good in a long time!) Staff, can't do enough for you. SUPER clean everywhere! Indoor/Outdoor pool FABULOUS. Definately a 5 star hotel in my book. Will definately stay here again. It was definately worth EVERY penny! Stay here, you WON'T be disappointed!!
Since this hotel finished its renovation and change from Wyndham to Sheraton it has become my number one choice for my business travel
This hotel chnged from a wyndham to a sheraton since I stayed last summer. Super improvements everywhere. What great rooms...very Ralph Lauren!! The Restaurant and Pub were great!! We did not use the pool area but it sure looked inviting. Can't wait to go back this summer.
This newly flagged Sheraton has just finished a fantastic reovation. the rooms are amazing with sofas and comfy leather chairs. the staff was unblievale. The health club and pool were the best.
