Central, comfortable bed, large bathroom, good lighting.
A little grubby (light switches, paintwork, one of the window panes was replaced by a board). Noisy (people talking loudly in common areas in middle of night). Hotel was advertising rooms on board outside at half what we’d paid for on booking.com. Description stated there was a TV & hairdryer but there were none in the room (maybe these were in common with rest of residents but this is not clear in the description).
everything was good
Unable to recommend. Not really the dirty bathrooms or smelly bedsheets, but mismanagement of the booking. Booked a capsule. It wasn’t available. So I amended my booking to 1 night. The fee for 1 night was more than earlier booking for 3 nights! Unable to recommend. Would prefer to give money to local charity than busy hostel...
Clean rooms with proper shower. Big comfy bed. Airconditioning. 5-10 minute walk to everywhere. Friendly staff
Unlimited supply of hot water. Nice thick towel. A fantastic, wide night time view from the capsule 'verandah' across Kandy 'crowned' by 2 giant floodlit buddha on the far hilltops. A great manager / host "Diago", super approachable, really good spoken English, very much a 'plus'
Not sure there was anything to dislike.
