Pros: comfy bed, friendly staff, walkable to shops and restaraunts
Cons: parking charge (mostly empty lot still cost over $15)
Pros: The hotel was very clean and beautiful. The room was very clean and the shower was awesome. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it to all my friends. Staff was very friendly.
Pros: It was clean with friendly and helpful staff and doesn't blow a hole through your wallet
Cons: Paying for parking a day does suck
Pros: The room was updated and decorated nicely. Had a very cozy feel.
Cons: I really did not like that there was only a shower.
Pros: It was absolutely amazing. VERY plush and MODERN rooms. I got a premium room which was amazing. The cabanas by the pool are awesome. Just luxury and premium all the way.
Cons: Only one bad thing I could say is as a multiple business stayer...I have stayed there repeatedly, there should be a discount for return guests.

Pros: The hotel was very lovely and recently redecorated, but...
Cons: By far THE MOST UNCOMFORTABLE bed I've slept on in a hotel. Couldn't believe how horribly hard and springy the mattress was considering how nicely redone the room was. We tossed and turned all night and were sore and tired in the morning. I would've traded the nice paintings on the wall for a softer bed and good night sleep...I mean the whole reason for staying in a hotel is to sleep so it has to be good. Very disappointed. Would not recommend.
Pros: We were only there for 1 night and we throughly enjoyed the whole atmosphere of the hotel; from the front entrance to our room. We loved the complimentary breakfast served in the morning. The staff was extremely pleasant and welcoming. Would do definitely go again. Price was also reasonable and we'll worth it.
Pros: room was setup in a unique way allowing 1 person to sleep and another to do work and/or watch TV without being disturbed - ice cold AC was great - toilet and shower were separated which was also nice - good size TV and channel selection - free HBO - easy access to room - plenty of available parking - close to major freeways
Cons: shower leaked all over the floor due to a bad seal on shower door

Pros: My first encounter was the best impression ever. I believe her name is Mika. She was outstanding and with a warm smile to boot. Very attentive to detail and she was prompt. Excellent job.
Pros: The room was great. The bed was super comfortable. Food at the restaurant was delicious and the servers were fun and friendly.
Cons: Not too happy that we had to pay for overnight parking- I feel there should have been some sort of compensation for this as a guest. Perhaps free breakfast?
Pros: Doubles Tree by Hilton Hotel Irvine meet all of our needs. The
staff is very courteous!!!
Cons: $19 charge per day for guest parking.
Pros: Could not enjoy anything because of the parking fee.
Cons: Mandatory $18 parking fee for all paying guests. What a trap. There is no excuse for a scam like that.
Pros: The lobby was very clean and the staff were very friendly. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very clean.
Cons: My only negative comment would be that the carpert needed to be cleaned in the room. Everything else in the hotel was so clean that the dirty carpet in the room stood out. But this was very minor and should not deter anyone from staying here.
Pros: Very friendly check in. Location for shopping and business meeting was good. Parking fees were comped after reporting an issue with our room not being cleaned during one of the days of our stay.
Cons: Room had an odor. Room was not cleaned during one of the days as we were missed according to their schedule as a result of having our privacy sign on the door until about 10:00 am. When reported to the front desk, the room was cleaned and we were comped for our parking fees. Parking is $10.00 which we were fully aware of but we question why the extra charge. Our room was located right next to the elevator which we could hear continually. We did not ask for a room change but the next time we book a room that will be one of my requests to not be near an elevator.

Pros: The layout of the bathrooms and sleeping areas were very good for an extended stay. The bathroom had enough shelf space for toiletries, and the closet and dresser were sufficient for clothes. The layout of the living room and kitchen made it very comfortable.
Cons: The bathroom does need to have at least one addition towel rack. Hotels now ask that you hang your towel to dry rather than replace it each day - which is wonderful. However, there is no place to hang it... That is a problem. I decided to place my towel on a hanger and hang it in the doorway. Not the best, but it worked.
A few more pots would have been nice also. There were enough items for the microwave, but not the stove.
A small dish soap would be helpful as well so as not to run the dishwasher for a few items. I used a small bar of soap and a face cloth.

Whatever brings you to the shining state of California, make it a memorable trip at Residence Inn Irvine John Wayne Airport/Orange County.
Cons: Long wait for checking in and room availability; wifi did not work for our iPhones and computer. These devices worked in all hotels preceding this one.
Pros: The hotel is centrally located and six minutes from the airport, making it a great choice if you've an early morning departure or late night arrival. Our room was very quiet. The Marketplace was great for snacks and provided a good selection of tasty foods. The staff was friendly and the bed comfortable.
Cons: The parking fee of $22-24 per night seems excessive for a suburb like Irvine which is pretty much made of concrete, shopping malls and parking lots. The sink drain didn't work properly, one of my pet peeves in a hotel in any price category and unexpected in this type of hotel.
Cons: TOO LARGE THROUGHT IT WAS A BOUTIQU
Pros: Pool was great! Lots of space and fun games around the pool. Rooms were nice, good breakfast and fun bar/lounge
Cons: Music at the bar was so loud you couldn't hold a conversation. In addition the check-in attendant never told me details, such check-out time or that a continental breakfast was included ( I had to ask the next morning). They seemed rushed and ready for the next customer. Another issue was non-smoking on a designated non-smoking floor. I smelled smoke as I slept and saw butts on the carpet in the hallway. Lastly, breakfast was limited to toast, cold cereal, yogurt, and hard-boiled eggs.
Cons: No room service
Weird shower stall that is made so its hard to reach handles
Pros: I had a problem with another room being extremely loud and disruptive,, the front desk and security took care of the situation, quickly. Also, the GM comped my valet charges...still not what I expected from a hotel like this.
Pros: I stayed a long weekend here with my friend and the lovely people at hotel Irvine really made us feel like welcome guests! From the complimentary bikes, to the Friday night movie on the lawn, to the friendly and delightful staff, every minute here was relaxing and stress-free. My friend has severe food allergies which the staff graciously and professionally worked arround for her. It really meant a lot to be able to enjoy my mini-vacation knowing that everything we needed was being taken care of. Thank you so much!
Pros: Good hotel, excellent location. Clean and comfortable.
Cons: The music in the lobby is a bit loud.
Pros: I liked the pool, room size, little market downstairs with reasonable prices, location to where I was going and the feel of the hotel. There is a mini refrigerator that you can fill up. I like the concept, instead of an overpriced minibar.
Cons: The front desk was confused as to when breakfast ended. (We were told 8am which is ridiculous, but it was actually 9:30.) we missed a few days due to thinking we missed it. The carpet and little features could be updated, but for the most part it was clean. We would stay again.
Pros: We loved our room with a view. Even though the hotel was busy with dance competition and softball teams, our room was quiet and service was great. We will definitely be back soon!
Pros: Loved the market place and the Dj at the bar in the evenings!

Flat-panel 42-inch televisions have premium satellite channels. Free WiFi. Pets up to 50 pounds are welcome, with some restrictions.
Cons: The person who checked us in was snobby, and then we had to pay $15 for parking. Once we got checked into our room, we thought "well, at least there is a pool." My husband is obsessed with indoor pools and was excited that this hotel had one. We went to the pool, and instead found a 3 1/2 foot deep puddle. It should be embarrassed to call itself a pool. For a hotel this pricey, you would think they at least would have a Jacuzzi tub next to their sad excuse for a pool, but no. On top of everything else, there is no free breakfast. We thought we would splurge on a pricier hotel, thinking we would get a higher quality and value, but we were sorely disappointed.
Pros: Flew into Irvine and stayed one night before heading to Carlsbad for vacation! I was very impressed with this hotel it was very clean, modern and the staff was excellent. They had a great breakfast amd will definitely stay here again.
Pros: We stayed here just three days after it opened and some of the common areas were still under construction. We had a couple of problems (shower head was clogged with construction debris, couldn't find access to pool...etc) but the hotel staff and construction workers were all very helpful and fixed everything. Hotel room was very large and clean and quiet. Free parking is also very convenient.
Cons: Wish breakfast was included (they charge $13/person)

Pros: Friendly staff that always followed up to make sure that we were doing well. Dorothy was absolutely amazing! Love the remodel of the facility and would highly recommend.
Cons: Parking was not free but to be expected when your staying in the city.
Pros: Complimentary breakfast, snacks in the evening along with a two hour complimentary beer and mixed drink happy hour free for all. Complimentary shuttle to the very close airport. 7 miles from the beach a running trail about a mile from the hotel that goes all the way to the beach. Shuttle delivered me to my office within the 3 mile max radius. Staff helped with a mildly exceptional request of providing me with a screw driver from maintenance so I could repair my luggage. The key card opens doors with proximity so I could keep my key in my wallet and put my wallet next to the sensor.
Cons: I should have complained about the heat / air vent. Watching TV it was fine but going to bed it was just loud enough that I slept with a pillow on both sides of my head.
Oh and after the two hour happy hour the prices for drinks become a bit unreasonable an interesting strategy they have.
Pros: Great overall experience
Cons: Paying for parking
Cons: Could hear the service elevator from my room went until late at night and started early in the morning. Loud squeal and banging doors made it impossible to sleep. The front desk offered no help they said it should stop by 11:00 pm which it did not and they did not tell me it would start again at 6:00 am.
Pros: Nice, just recently renovated hotel rooms. Everything was in pristine condition. Comfortable beds, good breakfast (made to order eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, fruit, cereal etc).
Cons: Housekeeping woke us up at 8:00 am. Not happy about that. Also pillows are not that good.
Pros: Nice hotel, good service, comfortable beds, great breakfast
Cons: Hotel is doing construction and they gave us a room directly under the floor they were working on. To their credit they did stop working at a reasonable time and did not start working till 9am.
Pros: Clean facilities, comfortable bed and free drinks
Cons: Expected larger suite for the high price. Few amenities close by
Pros: Most everything was perfect
Cons: We would have much preferred to be on the same floor as family we were with!!! We made reservations at least 2-3 weeks prior and requested 2 rooms together. Thankfully we were with young adult and 2 teenagers that could be on different floor but it was u settling and inconvenient
Pros: The staff was very helpful. Our truck did not fit in the parking garage so they made sure there was a spot for us in the short term parking lot for our whole stay. Very friendly helpful staff. Complementary breakfast was perfect way to start our day. Clean nice sized rooms.
The location of the hotel was close to everything! Newport Beach, Huntington Beach and balboa all 20-30 min away. Dinning and activities for the family only 7-10 min away. Great hotel!!
Pros: I mostly try and stay at Embassy Suites when I travel. This hotel was clean, friendly staff and great accommodations.
Cons: Parking at $15 dollars a day seems a little excessive. Other than the parking everything else was good.
Pros: The room was big! The pub area was a fun, breakfast and managers cocktail/snack time are always a plus. Gym was small, but worked for my needs.
Cons: Laundry facility was kind of janky, just one chair, maybe a TV or more than one chair or something would help.
Pros: The room was nice. Clean. Comfortable.
Cons: Parking is an extra $15 ridiculous. Room service dishes sat outside of rooms all day kinda gross. Maid service asked if we were gone yet way before check out kinda rude. 3 candy bars cost us $9 way too expensive

Pros: Good location, since it's close to the airport.
Cons: Facility is extremely outdated, room was tiny and noisy. Parking is an additional $22 per day, which is robbery. I suggest you stay at the Irivne Wyndam instead.
Pros: We enjoyed the beds. We had a great night sleep.
Pros: Staff, always professional always polite.
Pool fantastic, Spa clean and warm.
I loved the Bed, super cloud pillow topped, room clean.
Bathroom luxury, from soaps to towels good size.
24/7 always staff on hand. Had starbucks in hotel foyer.
Blackout curtains kept morning sun at bay.
Cons: My 71 yr old mother did not enjoy the pillow top beds, suggested they smothered her.
Could hear some trucks on highway braking in mornings and night.
It is geared for business, so appeared everything has an additional cost per unit.

Pros: I really like the feeling of home away from home in this hotel. With the exception of Brenda who is a bit arrogant with a bad attitude, the front desk staff are amazing and accommodating. Fantastic amenities like free washer and dryer, practically a mini grocery store on your honor that you can pay for or have charged to your room. Plenty of parking, relatively quiet and laid back atmosphere. The kitchens are fully stocked with not only the basics but also measuring cup, mixing bowls, extra pot with lid, ceramic cooktop et cetera. All linens are upscale and clean with no stains and not one rouge dark hair (I am blonde) anywhere. Bed had over stuffed sheepskin like mattress cover that was very comfortable. One last thing that is always very important to me... I didn't have to wash my feet before getting into bed, not ever! Now that is clean.
Cons: Even with all of the amenities I have listed that I like this is after all a 2-star Hotel and it is a bit overpriced. Further, the 20 percent discount offered through RetailMeNot and other reputable sites of the like, are not accepted at all. I could get no break off the daily rate ever. 2 hours on the phone with IHG and it is still a mystery. Counting on that discount is what finalized my decision to stay here while searching for an apartment. Now I'm just further in debt. my feeling on that is a bait and switch which is the fault of the corporation not the facility. I am currently staying on top of my complaint. The shower head is definitely in need of some maintenance to clear out the hard water so the water flows. On only a few occasions I was disturbed by the loud speaking housekeepers outside my door as well as the banging and hitting the walls while cleaning the room next to me. They need to realize that sometimes people work late and sleep late. For the price it should be respected.

Pros: Roomy suite with good beds. Waffle station and Mon-Weds Happy Hour with beer, wine, and decent hors d'oeuvres.
Cons: Not super clean. Quick surface clean looks good but refrigerator smells (ice maker makes un-usable ice). Dishes not clean - Rewash everything. If you don't see it, it probably hasn't been cleaned in a while.

Cons: Wifi didn't work and staff wasn't very helpful
Unclear restaurant hours and services
Cost of everything was ridiculous even for a hotel.
Cons: There was a bunch of teenagers staying in the room next to us and they kept hanging out in the hall and knocking on the doors, from their room and the room across from them. The walls were too thin and we could hear them all night. They finally settled down at 3:30am. So I didn't sleep too well.
Cons: The air conditioner stopped working the last night
Pros: Awesome windows, comfy bed, very clean.
Pros: Comfortable beds
Cons: I like to workout and the gym was less than adequate and the equipment definitely needs to be updated.
Pros: Nice hotel
Cons: The room service stops at 11pm and bar closes at 11:30pm
Pros: Friendly, clean, nice atmosphere, and complimentary breakfast!
Cons: Parking cost isn't mentioned on third party websites
Pros: I travel a lot and have stayed in a variety of different hotels and this surprisingly ranks amongst my favorite. I was a little hesitant coming to this hotel based on some of the reviews from other sites and by no means does this hotel come in short on anything. Would definitely stay here again and recommend.
Pros: The shower was nice.
Cons: The wi-fi connection was awful. Kept getting dropped. Worst wi-fi ever. They don't offer a wired connection alternative. Our room was really cramped for three adults. Our son attempted to sleep on the provided roll-away bed, but it was unrelentingly crappy. He ended up sleeping with just his feet on the bed and most of his body in a padded chair. They charge $18 to park in a cramped parking lot that's located in a business park. Felt ripped off. For some reason this Wyndham didn't even show up on our GPS, and we have the latest maps. Maybe it was trying to tell us something?
Pros: Everything was perfect, exactly what I expected! The pictures do the facilities justice!!! I was not disappointed in the least bit.
Pros: Friendly staff
Good views from room
Cons: Very poor (unusable) internet signal in room
Gym and pool could be better

Pros: The room was clean and a good size not to big and not to small but perfect for a couple. Staff was very friendly
Cons: You cloud hear people next door when they were loud
Pros: The hotel is clean, comfortable and relatively quiet. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. There's a small breakfast/dinner cafe in the lobby, which is pretty decent. It's a business hotel--just a pretty standard place to crash between runs on the hamster wheel.
Cons: The hotel advertises wired internet, and even advertises it as a feature on an information card in the room, but in truth there is no wired internet. So, caveat emptor on that score. There is wireless internet that works pretty well, but it's unsecured (totally open, anybody can read your traffic.)

Cons: No fridge in our room. I thought those were standard.
Pros: Desk attendants were very courteous.
Cons: I wish I was told that the hotel would charge for parking, per day.
Pros: Allows dogs, modern furnishings, no fee for parking, near airport
Cons: Pool was closed. $75 dog cleaning fee.
Pros: The hotel was recently remodeled so the interior is clean and brand new.
Cons: Parking fee and having to pay for internet.
Pros: Room was very nice and spacious
Cons: - (disclaimer: i never stayed at a hilton hotel before) i paid quite a bit for the hotel and parking already but you have to pay for wifi separately per night. They also overcharged me (which they did get corrected). They sent me an email later as a followup, but the email had lots of typos and syntax errors. Looks unprofessional for a classy place.
Pros: Nice, clean place. Good restaurant. Friendly staff.
Cons: The $18 parking charge was unpleasant. Other hotels in same area don't charge this. The walls are very thin and if you are a light sleeper, will suffer.
Pros: Young man who checked us in was increadable, great young man
Cons: Outdated, $18 daily parking fee
Pros: Good location.
Cons: Building is older and you can hear all the neighbors and noise at night.

Cons: My room smelled like cigarettes so I requested a change.
Pros: Well located
Cons: Bat attitude, no much options at dinner´s time
Pros: Lobby and swim pool
Cons: The room is poor and the restaurant is not very good.
Pros: Worst experience ever
Cons: Never been more horrified by a hotel visit. The hotel was a deal so you definitely get what you pay for. The hotel is located across the steeet from airport but all of the crime in Irvine must happen at the hotel. Even before we got out of the car we noticed two police vehicles at the gas station that is found next door. We walked in and were greeted by a stumbling man. He seemed threatening and got very scared. My boyfriend asked if he was okay and the man responded by saying he just got high on heroine. Once we checked in i made a point to pay the $14 self park because of the visible conditions of the hotel. I asked my boyfriend to park across our window so wr could keep an eye on the car. We got in bed but were awaken at 2:30am by a loud drunk group next door. My boyfriend called concierge but it took them twenty minutes to send security. Security did nothing but knock and the noise continued all night. We spent most of the night awake. We called the front desk in the morning to ask if they could extend check out since we had a tough night at there hotel just til one. The girl could care less. I asked for an extra minutes because I had a headache and she still couldn't care less. We rushed to check out on time. While loading our car I hear my boyfriend say What? I look over and see a man approaching asking him if he just smiled at him. The man was clearly high and made violent threats to my boyfriend for smiling!. I signaled to my boyfriend to say nothing and got in the car. I pull out my phone to call the cops but saw him speed around to the other side of the hotel. As we're driving out, our prepaid parking slip wasn't working to open the gate. My boyfriend had to go back inside and have them fix it. The whole time I was worried he would get hurt. Definitely a very traumatizing experience. There was nothing good about our stay.
Pros: Left an item in my room, staff was very efficient in getting it promptly to me at the airport !!
Pros: Located right by John Wayne airport.
Cons: Our room was not updated, when we first checked in because we used a third party we received the worst location until we complained. We had to pay $12 parking a day. Our daughter checked in with their team got an updated room and breakfast buffet included. This is our second time at the Atrium, and we won't be coming back.
Pros: The pool area and friendly staff
Cons: smell of the room when you first walked in and the furniture and carpet is outdated. They also charge you for parking!
Pros: Close to airport and close to my conference
Cons: Paying for parking
Pros: It's close to a project we are working on. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Cons: The hotel is a bit dated, but everything was clean and organized. The biggest disappointments were that there was no free breakfast and parking is $12 a night.
Pros: Nothing ,,
Cons: Old hotel , the carpet smell really bad with fleas ,, they charge for the parking Sucks.
Pros: Not much
Cons: This hotel is a bit old, needs improvements, i.e. broken floor tiles in the public areas, no Kleenex in the room, given false parking information - pricing - and wouldn't make amends...
The place is like an aging beauty queen...
Pros: Pool area and lobby were very nice. They looked like they have been updated in recent years. Staff was great. Check in and out was fast and easy. Very convenient location. Quiet and comfortable.
Cons: Rooms are getting outdated. I noticed some rusted door nobs.
Hate paying for parking even though I could expense it. Not really a resort.
