The hotel is centrally located and six minutes from the airport, making it a great choice if you've an early morning departure or late night arrival. Our room was very quiet. The Marketplace was great for snacks and provided a good selection of tasty foods. The staff was friendly and the bed comfortable. The parking fee of $22-24 per night seems excessive for a suburb like Irvine which is pretty much made of concrete, shopping malls and parking lots. The sink drain didn't work properly, one of my pet peeves in a hotel in any price category and unexpected in this type of hotel.
I had a problem with another room being extremely loud and disruptive,, the front desk and security took care of the situation, quickly. Also, the GM comped my valet charges...still not what I expected from a hotel like this.
I liked the pool, room size, little market downstairs with reasonable prices, location to where I was going and the feel of the hotel. There is a mini refrigerator that you can fill up. I like the concept, instead of an overpriced minibar. The front desk was confused as to when breakfast ended. (We were told 8am which is ridiculous, but it was actually 9:30.) we missed a few days due to thinking we missed it. The carpet and little features could be updated, but for the most part it was clean. We would stay again.
The grounds, the staff was friendly and helpful, bed was comfy, pool area and 24 hour marketplace were very nice. Paying for parking, odd odor on the different floors, no cold water, half-closed shower door.
We loved our room with a view. Even though the hotel was busy with dance competition and softball teams, our room was quiet and service was great. We will definitely be back soon!
I stayed a long weekend here with my friend and the lovely people at hotel Irvine really made us feel like welcome guests! From the complimentary bikes, to the Friday night movie on the lawn, to the friendly and delightful staff, every minute here was relaxing and stress-free. My friend has severe food allergies which the staff graciously and professionally worked arround for her. It really meant a lot to be able to enjoy my mini-vacation knowing that everything we needed was being taken care of. Thank you so much!
TOO LARGE THROUGHT IT WAS A BOUTIQU
Pool was great! Lots of space and fun games around the pool. Rooms were nice, good breakfast and fun bar/lounge
Loved the market place and the Dj at the bar in the evenings!
Good hotel, excellent location. Clean and comfortable. The music in the lobby is a bit loud.
Comfort No room service Weird shower stall that is made so its hard to reach handles
Impressive, grand entry, airily quick check-in, comfortable beds, clean shower Music at the bar was so loud you couldn't hold a conversation. In addition the check-in attendant never told me details, such check-out time or that a continental breakfast was included ( I had to ask the next morning). They seemed rushed and ready for the next customer. Another issue was non-smoking on a designated non-smoking floor. I smelled smoke as I slept and saw butts on the carpet in the hallway. Lastly, breakfast was limited to toast, cold cereal, yogurt, and hard-boiled eggs.
Awesome windows, comfy bed, very clean.
Comfortable beds I like to workout and the gym was less than adequate and the equipment definitely needs to be updated.
Everything was perfect, exactly what I expected! The pictures do the facilities justice!!! I was not disappointed in the least bit.
There was a bunch of teenagers staying in the room next to us and they kept hanging out in the hall and knocking on the doors, from their room and the room across from them. The walls were too thin and we could hear them all night. They finally settled down at 3:30am. So I didn't sleep too well.
Friendly staff Good views from room Very poor (unusable) internet signal in room Gym and pool could be better Outdated decor
Friendly, clean, nice atmosphere, and complimentary breakfast! Parking cost isn't mentioned on third party websites
Nice hotel The room service stops at 11pm and bar closes at 11:30pm
I travel a lot and have stayed in a variety of different hotels and this surprisingly ranks amongst my favorite. I was a little hesitant coming to this hotel based on some of the reviews from other sites and by no means does this hotel come in short on anything. Would definitely stay here again and recommend.
The air conditioner stopped working the last night
The shower was nice. The wi-fi connection was awful. Kept getting dropped. Worst wi-fi ever. They don't offer a wired connection alternative. Our room was really cramped for three adults. Our son attempted to sleep on the provided roll-away bed, but it was unrelentingly crappy. He ended up sleeping with just his feet on the bed and most of his body in a padded chair. They charge $18 to park in a cramped parking lot that's located in a business park. Felt ripped off. For some reason this Wyndham didn't even show up on our GPS, and we have the latest maps. Maybe it was trying to tell us something?
Could hear the service elevator from my room went until late at night and started early in the morning. Loud squeal and banging doors made it impossible to sleep. The front desk offered no help they said it should stop by 11:00 pm which it did not and they did not tell me it would start again at 6:00 am.
The room was big! The pub area was a fun, breakfast and managers cocktail/snack time are always a plus. Gym was small, but worked for my needs. Laundry facility was kind of janky, just one chair, maybe a TV or more than one chair or something would help.
The staff was very helpful. Our truck did not fit in the parking garage so they made sure there was a spot for us in the short term parking lot for our whole stay. Very friendly helpful staff. Complementary breakfast was perfect way to start our day. Clean nice sized rooms. The location of the hotel was close to everything! Newport Beach, Huntington Beach and balboa all 20-30 min away. Dinning and activities for the family only 7-10 min away. Great hotel!!
Complimentary breakfast, snacks in the evening along with a two hour complimentary beer and mixed drink happy hour free for all. Complimentary shuttle to the very close airport. 7 miles from the beach a running trail about a mile from the hotel that goes all the way to the beach. Shuttle delivered me to my office within the 3 mile max radius. Staff helped with a mildly exceptional request of providing me with a screw driver from maintenance so I could repair my luggage. The key card opens doors with proximity so I could keep my key in my wallet and put my wallet next to the sensor. I should have complained about the heat / air vent. Watching TV it was fine but going to bed it was just loud enough that I slept with a pillow on both sides of my head. Oh and after the two hour happy hour the prices for drinks become a bit unreasonable an interesting strategy they have.
The room was nice. Clean. Comfortable. Parking is an extra $15 ridiculous. Room service dishes sat outside of rooms all day kinda gross. Maid service asked if we were gone yet way before check out kinda rude. 3 candy bars cost us $9 way too expensive
Most everything was perfect We would have much preferred to be on the same floor as family we were with!!! We made reservations at least 2-3 weeks prior and requested 2 rooms together. Thankfully we were with young adult and 2 teenagers that could be on different floor but it was u settling and inconvenient
Friendly staff that always followed up to make sure that we were doing well. Dorothy was absolutely amazing! Love the remodel of the facility and would highly recommend. Parking was not free but to be expected when your staying in the city.
Great overall experience Paying for parking
Clean facilities, comfortable bed and free drinks Expected larger suite for the high price. Few amenities close by
Nice hotel, good service, comfortable beds, great breakfast Hotel is doing construction and they gave us a room directly under the floor they were working on. To their credit they did stop working at a reasonable time and did not start working till 9am.
I mostly try and stay at Embassy Suites when I travel. This hotel was clean, friendly staff and great accommodations. Parking at $15 dollars a day seems a little excessive. Other than the parking everything else was good.
Nice, just recently renovated hotel rooms. Everything was in pristine condition. Comfortable beds, good breakfast (made to order eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, fruit, cereal etc). Housekeeping woke us up at 8:00 am. Not happy about that. Also pillows are not that good.
The room was very large and very comfortable. The facilities were very clean and aesthetically pleasing, although I was unable to spend much time there due to a business conference I was attending. I read good things about the restaurant, however, was unable to check it out for the same reasons. I was given the opportunity to check-in before noon and to request additional towels, both of which I selected. However, upon arrival I was told that I was unable to check-in early AND that, even if possible, it would cost an additional $40. Furthermore, I did not receive additional towels. So, my question became, why even offer these things if you're not going to provide them upon request.
I'm a Pastor and I asked for a 1pm checkout due to a wedding ceremony I was performing in Huntington Beach at 4pm. Initially I was told no problem. I called on Saturday morning to confirm and my request was denied. Staff did not apologize, offer any solutions and I was very disappointed.
I was a beautiful place to stay, clean and the staff was great. I would surely go back and stay longer for pleasure this time!!!!!
I didn't like much. My experience was horrible here. We were lied to by the staff. Due to their lies, we ended up stranded at the event we were attending. We booked this hotel specifically for the free shuttle, and even made sure of times and venue location that it would all work out. Well, it didn't and the customer service desk did NOTHING to resolve. What an awful experience! I will never stay there again!
Everything about the hotel was really really good. It is such a good value for the money. The beds were very comfortable the room was very clean and the staff was very friendly wouldn't hesitate to stay there again anytime.
liked the restaurant in the courtyard There were large bugs in our bathroom -- unacceptable
Reliable excellent service and accommodations! We are always impressed with our experience at Ayres!
Staff, always professional always polite. Pool fantastic, Spa clean and warm. I loved the Bed, super cloud pillow topped, room clean. Bathroom luxury, from soaps to towels good size. 24/7 always staff on hand. Had starbucks in hotel foyer. Blackout curtains kept morning sun at bay. My 71 yr old mother did not enjoy the pillow top beds, suggested they smothered her. Could hear some trucks on highway braking in mornings and night. It is geared for business, so appeared everything has an additional cost per unit.
We enjoyed the beds. We had a great night sleep.
Good location, since it's close to the airport. Facility is extremely outdated, room was tiny and noisy. Parking is an additional $22 per day, which is robbery. I suggest you stay at the Irivne Wyndam instead.
We were only there for 1 night and we throughly enjoyed the whole atmosphere of the hotel; from the front entrance to our room. We loved the complimentary breakfast served in the morning. The staff was extremely pleasant and welcoming. Would do definitely go again. Price was also reasonable and we'll worth it.
The hotel was very lovely and recently redecorated, but... By far THE MOST UNCOMFORTABLE bed I've slept on in a hotel. Couldn't believe how horribly hard and springy the mattress was considering how nicely redone the room was. We tossed and turned all night and were sore and tired in the morning. I would've traded the nice paintings on the wall for a softer bed and good night sleep...I mean the whole reason for staying in a hotel is to sleep so it has to be good. Very disappointed. Would not recommend.
room was setup in a unique way allowing 1 person to sleep and another to do work and/or watch TV without being disturbed - ice cold AC was great - toilet and shower were separated which was also nice - good size TV and channel selection - free HBO - easy access to room - plenty of available parking - close to major freeways shower leaked all over the floor due to a bad seal on shower door
The hotel was very clean and beautiful. The room was very clean and the shower was awesome. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it to all my friends. Staff was very friendly.
It was absolutely amazing. VERY plush and MODERN rooms. I got a premium room which was amazing. The cabanas by the pool are awesome. Just luxury and premium all the way. Only one bad thing I could say is as a multiple business stayer...I have stayed there repeatedly, there should be a discount for return guests.
It was clean with friendly and helpful staff and doesn't blow a hole through your wallet Paying for parking a day does suck
The room was updated and decorated nicely. Had a very cozy feel. I really did not like that there was only a shower.
The room was great. The bed was super comfortable. Food at the restaurant was delicious and the servers were fun and friendly. Not too happy that we had to pay for overnight parking- I feel there should have been some sort of compensation for this as a guest. Perhaps free breakfast?
Doubles Tree by Hilton Hotel Irvine meet all of our needs. The staff is very courteous!!!
The lobby was very clean and the staff were very friendly. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. My only negative comment would be that the carpert needed to be cleaned in the room. Everything else in the hotel was so clean that the dirty carpet in the room stood out. But this was very minor and should not deter anyone from staying here.
Could not enjoy anything because of the parking fee. Mandatory $18 parking fee for all paying guests. What a trap. There is no excuse for a scam like that.
$19 charge per day for guest parking.
It was clean No refrigerator or microwave
My first encounter was the best impression ever. I believe her name is Mika. She was outstanding and with a warm smile to boot. Very attentive to detail and she was prompt. Excellent job.
Very friendly check in. Location for shopping and business meeting was good. Parking fees were comped after reporting an issue with our room not being cleaned during one of the days of our stay. Room had an odor. Room was not cleaned during one of the days as we were missed according to their schedule as a result of having our privacy sign on the door until about 10:00 am. When reported to the front desk, the room was cleaned and we were comped for our parking fees. Parking is $10.00 which we were fully aware of but we question why the extra charge. Our room was located right next to the elevator which we could hear continually. We did not ask for a room change but the next time we book a room that will be one of my requests to not be near an elevator.
We stayed here just three days after it opened and some of the common areas were still under construction. We had a couple of problems (shower head was clogged with construction debris, couldn't find access to pool...etc) but the hotel staff and construction workers were all very helpful and fixed everything. Hotel room was very large and clean and quiet. Free parking is also very convenient. Wish breakfast was included (they charge $13/person)
Flew into Irvine and stayed one night before heading to Carlsbad for vacation! I was very impressed with this hotel it was very clean, modern and the staff was excellent. They had a great breakfast amd will definitely stay here again.
The layout of the bathrooms and sleeping areas were very good for an extended stay. The bathroom had enough shelf space for toiletries, and the closet and dresser were sufficient for clothes. The layout of the living room and kitchen made it very comfortable. The bathroom does need to have at least one addition towel rack. Hotels now ask that you hang your towel to dry rather than replace it each day - which is wonderful. However, there is no place to hang it... That is a problem. I decided to place my towel on a hanger and hang it in the doorway. Not the best, but it worked. A few more pots would have been nice also. There were enough items for the microwave, but not the stove. A small dish soap would be helpful as well so as not to run the dishwasher for a few items. I used a small bar of soap and a face cloth.
Not much See above
The staff are very helpful and cheerful. Bar area is limited and subject to a lot of noise from families passing through or as part of a large concert crowd that can dominate the whole area at weekends. The resort is more than walking distance to most other shopping or restaurant areas or the beach. No quiet area for a drink and conversation.
Very quiet and relaxing. The grounds are well kept, the room was very spacious. There are a lot of activities and the location of the hotel is great, you can drive to the beach in 5 minutes, fashion island is next door and Sherman's gardens are just down the road. Parking is expensive ($25/day) and the lot is a bit of a hike from the hotel depending on which room you have.
Close to Newport restaurants Found used silverware outside door at 4pm checkin. At 11:30pm silverware still there. Found used eyelashes on sink at checkin. No bathtub. Disappointed stay for the $220 nite rate
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The grounds were very nice with lots of places to sit and enjoy them. They have concerts on Friday night and they are quite loud, we were not notified they would be going on. I think that guest should be advised when they make their resevations.
Pool area not cleaned up well....needs facelift badly! Bar Mitzvah at hotel was noisy at night. Expensive self-parking ($27 per day) and "resort fee" ($25 per day) adds significant cost to room.
Gorgeous landscape and places to relax. Kids at adult only pool!
The water slide for kids was pretty cool and the food was good, although pricy. Self parking is really far from the rooms. Plus you have to walk up a steep hill to get from the parking to your room. They don't have ramps to some of the areas. Had to carry out stroller down to the pool with the slide. The walls in rooms are really thin. Our room was next to the maid service room so pretty much the whole nights we would hear door slamming, people talking and carts being moved around. On our last night we could hear a couple arguing in the next room for like an hour. We could literally hear every word. We had two small children with us so all the noise would wake them up. Pictures on the web look nice but in real life the hotel is not even close to it. The lobby is the only nice area in the hotel.
Great gym and pools. Very nice outdoor setting. Parking costs additional $35/ day. Rooms are clean but feel old and cheap. They add 20% tip to the bill for any service provided...food.
Nothing The towels were cheap, resort and valet fees were excessive. I felt like I was staying in the holiday inn. Will never go back.
The room was very nice and modern. Valet parking efficient. The resort fee was an unnecessary and unreasonable charge. The Friday night brunch is $50 apiece and worth under $20. They served dried our turkey breast at the carving station that had to be covered in gravey. The beef chunks were very tough. Don't eat there. Bring snacks and drinks. A bottle of beer is $4.50 the resort store. Poolside service is only during summer. This is Southern California. Summer is year around.
Maybe decor needs updating
Top notch breakfast and well appointed eating area, especially outside.
Proximity to the beach and comfortable beds Loud air conditioner
No cots available and the air beds had a hole. I paid 75.00$ for a new air bed.
Good breakfast, wifi, free parking, pool is nice, complimentary cookies, happy hour during the work week, surrounding area is nice and convenient. 10 minutes from the beach. Happy hour should be every day. A/C in the hallways and elevators would be nice.
Clean, nice hotel. Breakfast was unbelievable and free. Beds were comfortable and Tv with all channels was nice. Took a while for front desk to answe the phone.. Had to call a couple times for someone to pick up. Room had musty smell but not terrible...and the key card to run the lights and air was a little weird.
very fancy and indulgent needs a sign in the lobby stating location of elevators
Pool should be open till midnight
Very good value
Very nice hotel. Great desk staff smooth check in.
Beautiful resort! Loved our room. Food was amazing! Love the boutique on site. Front desk was great. Had an early check in. Staff overall was very slow and not to experienced when it came to bellman and room service. Every time we called for something we sat on hold for a period of time. Then when we left the resort i couldn't see out of my car windows. I had hard water spots all over my beautiful clean mercedes. The sprinklers covered my car and when i asked the valet to help with windex they looked at me like I was crazy.
EVERYTHING was Amazing. The view, service, room service, amenities and the room was perferct We loved everything
Much better than the Ritz @ Laguna Nigel or Montage. Outstanding service
the views and the bungalow room was great food service (both in room and at the pool lunch) was slow, inaccurate and not as expected. although the food quality was very good.
The place is awesome and we really enjoyed it The place is 5stars but the service and the employees are 0 stare
Excellent service. Staff were very helpful and friendly!
Nice area to behind the hotel to walk. Larger room size Service was somewhat lacking. I stayed 3 nights. My room was never serviced by the cleaning crew after I checked in. Mattress was very firm and not very comfortable. Hotel nickel and dimes for everything. Self parking was $22 a night. Hotel Concierge wanted to charge me an additional $20 a night when I (a solo traveller) requested a king bed upon arrival instead of two queens, even though the hotel was half empty and the published rates of the king rooms were $35 less a night than the nightly rate I had paid for my stay.
Good price, clean
The hotel is clean, comfortable and relatively quiet. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. There's a small breakfast/dinner cafe in the lobby, which is pretty decent. It's a business hotel--just a pretty standard place to crash between runs on the hamster wheel. The hotel advertises wired internet, and even advertises it as a feature on an information card in the room, but in truth there is no wired internet. So, caveat emptor on that score. There is wireless internet that works pretty well, but it's unsecured (totally open, anybody can read your traffic.)
The room was clean and a good size not to big and not to small but perfect for a couple. Staff was very friendly You cloud hear people next door when they were loud
Got a great deal great location! Be prepared for the $30 parking fee.
The bathroom was great and the bed was very comfortable. The restaurant was just fair.
We booked a single King. We got a tiny room with two double beds. Said they were out of Kings. Said they don't guarantee requests for online bookings. We were very disappointed. They did move us the second night but there was a constant banging noise in the vent so we couldn't sleep. We were treated like second class boarders. Parking is $32 a night with no option. The breakfast was not up to Fairmont standards. We will not stay there again.
Mattress was comfy. No self parking option. Valet $32 but half price for hybrid vehicles.
The staff was very friendly and they surprised us a an anniversary treat!! The room was beautiful and the bed was super comfy! Valet is mandatory and quite expensive!
Quiet room, good gym, nice pool area, friendly staff. Limited food options (restaurant closed for lunch on Saturday), mediocre TV reception (channels and quality), room looked a bit tired.
Below average service Room had a weird smell. Asked reception to change my room and they said that they couldnt. They told me that I would need to upgrade and pay the price difference. Cleaning service were cleaning empty rooms at 10 pm while we were trying to sleep. 32$ parking per night in an area where it should be free. Better options out there. Definitely not returning.
$32 for parking! My god.
It was all very beautiful, nice comfortable bed. Everything seems nice, new, and fresh. Amazing internet speed. Seems very executive. No where nearby will have free or cheap parking. I paid $30 bucks for parking overnight and $20 for wifi. Room was decently priced, but it was so fancy i didn't want to take the complimentary soaps just incase they'd charge me for that too.
Clean an beautiful room I did not like paying $32 to valet our car for one night
The rooms need to be updated.
$32/night mandatory valet parking is ridiculous. Other than that, nice place.
Outdated, $18 daily parking fee
Young man who checked us in was increadable, great young man
Good location. Building is older and you can hear all the neighbors and noise at night.
Allows dogs, modern furnishings, no fee for parking, near airport Pool was closed. $75 dog cleaning fee.
Parking fee and having to pay for internet.
Desk attendants were very courteous. I wish I was told that the hotel would charge for parking, per day.
Nice, clean place. Good restaurant. Friendly staff. The $18 parking charge was unpleasant. Other hotels in same area don't charge this. The walls are very thin and if you are a light sleeper, will suffer.
The hotel was recently remodeled so the interior is clean and brand new.
Room was very nice and spacious - (disclaimer: i never stayed at a hilton hotel before) i paid quite a bit for the hotel and parking already but you have to pay for wifi separately per night. They also overcharged me (which they did get corrected). They sent me an email later as a followup, but the email had lots of typos and syntax errors. Looks unprofessional for a classy place.
Nice, clean hotel at a great price. No fridge in our room. I thought those were standard.
The staff is VERY sweet and helpful. Great location. Valets were SO SWEET! Extremely clean. My ONLY problem was I reserved TWO DOUBLE BEDS. I brought my 15 year old daughter and her best friend For a one night getaway. I received an am txt that our room would be ready at 4pm.. So we went to fashion island for fun lunch at Lemonade And some shopping. When we went to check in.. At 4pm.. I was told That they had over sold and our room had one king bed. In my reservation I specified THREE PEOPLE! I feel like I got bumped cuz I reserved thru kayak... Paid less. They brought up a HUGE rollaway That took up half the room. We couldn't even make room for it.. So we all 3 slept in one bed. Not the end of the world.. But I would have appreciated better communication. Beautiful hotel and we had a lot of fun.
It was close to malls and movies. Not the best views in Newport
Spa was amazing! Pay for parking and taking extra money for deposit
The greeting by front desk @ 3:00AM after a horrendous flight from east coast was so very welcome. That attitude was evident during my entire four night stay. Marriott has never forgotten that hospitality is about the people, more than just a place to rest your body. This was an overall great experience. I do not have a single suggestion on improving anything I experienced
Fantastic location.Great value for money.Very clean.Great pool and jacuzzis.Will definitely be back!Even a Starbucks!And a great bar.Fire pits at night.Sunset was incredible to top off a great getaway.10/10.
Marriott hotels have always been an enjoyable experience. The room, location and overall stay was very nice. The in room dining as well as pool service staff was beyond slow. The drinks by the pool had a 30 minute ticket time and I had to call in room dining 6 times before my what was supposed to be surprise order of champagne arrived. I'm in the industry as well and understand things get busy. The in room dining gave us some strawberries as an apology for the delay which was nice but th pool staff did nothing to appease everyone's clear annoyance with the slowness of service. It wouldn't deter me from returning necessarily but it does make me question the hiring process at this location. Not only was the pool staff slow, the gentleman had the personality of a shoe.
The friendliness of the staff
Close to shopping centers and food joints. Asked for a king and they gave us two queens. Dirty sheets. Not enough towels
Staff is very friendly and helpful. It's not the fanciest place, but it is clean and affordable. In a good area, close to lots of restaurants and shops.
This lodge is like an oasis in a desert. The room was very quiet, the courtyard was lovely, and I slept wonderful. The internet was good, and there was a small fridge, microwave and safe in the room. They also provide a small, simple breakfast. I recommend this lodge.
Beds where nice
The staff was very nice. I missed "check in" by a few hours because I was exploring. But the staff insured me I had no worries and could check in at anytime! Room was clean, beds were so soft! The hotel itself was amazingly beautiful a cottage feel. I have never been to a hotel that had to give you vouchers for the breakfast kinda weird but not a deal breaker.
For one, the hotel looked very nice from the outside. They were currently doing some renovations to accommodate disabled guests, so I can't knock them for that. The actual room itself looked nice. The color scheme, the furniture choices, the vanity sink. The bathroom was kind of a cool open concept. Though the look was cohesive, it did seem pretty outdated. Also, there was still a stain on the sheet on the bed, the toilet still had some dry urine stains under the seat, and the cap that covers the plumbing for the shower head was coming off.
the grounds were beautiful and the staff was pleasant. I would stay there again. tried to stay an additional night, unable to keep the same room and would not be able to pay the same orbitz rate, this I understood BUT i was told I had to check out at 11 and could not check into my new room until 3 I HAD JUST STAYED 3 NIGHTS! but couldn't transfer?
Close to where we had a out of town job Friendly staff Clean Only a Continental breakfast Room decor is a buy dated
Good looking place, great location, good food options in the area, super friendly staff Beds could've been more comfortable, especially the pillows. You can tell they cheaped out on a lot of things like breakfast but I would definitely stay there again
Location was convenient to attend a wedding surroundings were clean and all stores close to the hotel for last minute shopping The entrance doors need to be updated as critters were able to crawl in which can be scary to some occupants we only noticed it in the morning of our departure but overall it was a reasonable price for our stay.
Nice pool area and lobby. Easy check in and out process. Fast and responsive room service It costs $12 a day to park. $14 if you valet. Old decor in the rooms
Close to airport and close to my conference Paying for parking
Nothing ,, Old hotel , the carpet smell really bad with fleas ,, they charge for the parking Sucks.
Pool area and lobby were very nice. They looked like they have been updated in recent years. Staff was great. Check in and out was fast and easy. Very convenient location. Quiet and comfortable. Rooms are getting outdated. I noticed some rusted door nobs. Hate paying for parking even though I could expense it. Not really a resort.
Located right by John Wayne airport. Our room was not updated, when we first checked in because we used a third party we received the worst location until we complained. We had to pay $12 parking a day. Our daughter checked in with their team got an updated room and breakfast buffet included. This is our second time at the Atrium, and we won't be coming back.
The pool area and friendly staff smell of the room when you first walked in and the furniture and carpet is outdated. They also charge you for parking!
It's close to a project we are working on. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is a bit dated, but everything was clean and organized. The biggest disappointments were that there was no free breakfast and parking is $12 a night.
Not much This hotel is a bit old, needs improvements, i.e. broken floor tiles in the public areas, no Kleenex in the room, given false parking information - pricing - and wouldn't make amends... The place is like an aging beauty queen...
Left an item in my room, staff was very efficient in getting it promptly to me at the airport !!
The location is excellent if you need to be close to the airport. Kurt reception at the desk. Maybe it was my attire as I just completed work, but should that matter? I think not! The lobby area portends to encourage "dayum, this is gonna be nice" but once you walk down the hallways it starts to set in. The drab and dreary decor starts your depressing decline as you close the distance to your room. Once the door opens you then realize they have one of those Hollywood photographers. Shooting all the right angles to make this glorified Super 8 Hotel into a "resort". Plus they charged $15 for parking! The bathrooms were a joke! The shower was a tub as well but was really small. It was like a converted closet. Just odd. But of course I had the "city view" into the adjacent parking lot... Madison Ave glitz in marketing, but skid row in reality...
Room was cute. Nice pool area. I booked a standard room the day before we arrived and paid $162 online; when I went to check in they told me that my booking was canceled. My money was deducted from my bank account and I received no email saying my booking got canceled. The guy didn't really put much effort into explaining what happened, he just made me pay for another room again. So I basically had to pay for the room twice... When we first walked into the hotel room, there was trash everywhere from the people before us. The bed was made and fresh but there were towels on the floor, reciepts on the floor, wrappers, and bags everywhere. The complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and lotion were knocked over and the room was pretty messy. I don't like to complain so my boyfriend and I just picked it up ourselves.
Worst experience ever Never been more horrified by a hotel visit. The hotel was a deal so you definitely get what you pay for. The hotel is located across the steeet from airport but all of the crime in Irvine must happen at the hotel. Even before we got out of the car we noticed two police vehicles at the gas station that is found next door. We walked in and were greeted by a stumbling man. He seemed threatening and got very scared. My boyfriend asked if he was okay and the man responded by saying he just got high on heroine. Once we checked in i made a point to pay the $14 self park because of the visible conditions of the hotel. I asked my boyfriend to park across our window so wr could keep an eye on the car. We got in bed but were awaken at 2:30am by a loud drunk group next door. My boyfriend called concierge but it took them twenty minutes to send security. Security did nothing but knock and the noise continued all night. We spent most of the night awake. We called the front desk in the morning to ask if they could extend check out since we had a tough night at there hotel just til one. The girl could care less. I asked for an extra minutes because I had a headache and she still couldn't care less. We rushed to check out on time. While loading our car I hear my boyfriend say What? I look over and see a man approaching asking him if he just smiled at him. The man was clearly high and made violent threats to my boyfriend for smiling!. I signaled to my boyfriend to say nothing and got in the car. I pull out my phone to call the cops but saw him speed around to the other side of the hotel. As we're driving out, our prepaid parking slip wasn't working to open the gate. My boyfriend had to go back inside and have them fix it. The whole time I was worried he would get hurt. Definitely a very traumatizing experience. There was nothing good about our stay.
