Located in the small village of Kang, along the Trans Kalahari Highway lies Nkisi Guesthouse. It offers a restaurant and bar. Free WiFi is available and there is a children’s playground. This pet friendly accommodation offers uniquely decorated en suite rooms come complete with a private entrance and each room has a seating area, air conditioning, flat-screen satellite TV and tea-and-coffee-making facilities. Local specialties and home cooked meals are served at Upperdeck Boskos Restaurant. Outdoor BBQ facilities are also available. The property is located off the A2, main highway which passes through Botswana and Windhoek in Namibia.
Pros: The location was not bad, but the coordinates in Google and booking.com are wrong. Was a disaster to find on location map. Can you please update the coordinates and the directions. Service was not to bad for accommodation in Kang.
Cons: Menu was not up to date. They do not stock all food that's on the menu. Oxtail was chewy and food was cold. Steaks was cold and veggies still hard and need more cooking time. They could do more to make the meal enjoyable and interesting.
Cons: The food at the restaurant left something to be desired but the staff were attentive and helpful.
Pros: Family room (room 10) had beds to sleep five and had two bathrooms. Very family friendly!
Pros: Kang is a natural stop for people coming back from Maun to Gaborone, via Ghanzi and this is a very pleasant guesthouse. The room was large, the bed comfortable and the air-conditioning excellent. The dining room was inefficient, I cancelled a toasted sandwich order after 45 minutes, as it was still not being made. However, once you leave Kang, there is nowhere else to eat breakfast until Gaborone, so get food in Kang.
Cons: Dining room service and choice of food - what was listed was not available
Pros: It was an extremely hot day that we arrived a Nkisi Lodge and were welcomed by a very friendly young man and made to feel at home. Our room was not ready yet, so he directed us to the bar to get something cold to drink. A sparkling pool seemed very inviting. The room was comfortable and clean. The restaurant had very friendly and helpful staff too and simple, but tasty meals on offer. The position of Nkisi Lodge is good for travelers, just off the A2 and next door to a fuel station.
Cons: The air conditioning did not work too well in our room, so it being a very hot day made it a little uncomfortable for a while.
Pros: Reception gentleman really tried hard to correct the problems with the tv.
Cons: Aircon in room not operating correctly. Food at the restaurant not the quality that I expected. Not wheelchair friendly. Tv not tuned correctly. Returning to RSA
Located in Kang, Kang Ultra Stop is in a rural location, a 1-minute drive from Botswana Tourism Office and 6 minutes from Matsha Community College. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Love the cleanliness and comfort
Pros: The pool
Pros: After a long hot day on the road Kang was a pleasant surprise. Everything was clean and the aircon a bonus.
Pros: Location excellent, good security, very friendly staff, however breakfast not included
Cons: Reception, although very friendly, seems short-staffed to receive a larger group. Paying was difficult due to connection problems and we had to return later for further attempts.
