Pros: It's rare to find people that really go the extra mile but everyone at Charles & Charles really goes out of their way to make everything easy and perfect - led by the eponymous Charles. From early check-in and a lovely room, to incredible breakfasts and even giving us a lift when we would have taken a taxi, we were treated almost like visiting family. The (free) bikes are great for exploring, the garden is a great place to relax with glass of wine in the evening, and it's an easy walk to restaurants/coffee etc... I could go on but I'm worried we won't be able to go back if it's booked solid all summer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: From the moment we arrived we were treated like friends. The room, grounds, pool and food were wonderful. Can’t wait to go back!!!
Cons: Nothing

Pros: This B&B had it all! Comfortable rooms, friendly staff, a pool & delicious breakfasts made each morning by our wonderful hosts. The location in Vineyard Haven was residential & we found it to be an added bonus for a quiet place to retreat & relax during the busiest weekend on the Vineyard (July 4th).
Cons: There wasn’t anything to not like! The staff was extremely accommodating - from fresh baked cookies & flowers in our suite upon arrival to our room being cleaned in the 45 minutes we ate our breakfast by the pool. Charles & Charles run a well-oiled machine down on the Vineyard. We will certainly be visiting them again in the future.

Setting could not have been more perfect, both the property itself and surrounding area. We walked into the town of course, which was so quaint and fun - especially with all the ice cream stores :)! Water bottles to take home, fluffy towels, cozy robes and amazing toiletries. The attention to detail at this hotel is remarkable. Next time I want to stay for a week, absolutely worth it!
Cons: The pictures were a little misleading, it looked like it was right on the water but its actually off it and you have to walk about a 1/4 mile to get there. The styling is English Inn, very cute and the most delightful dining room. We'd stay there again as it was welcoming and relaxed. The location is super, only a 5 minute straight line walk to the beginning of town and 5 minutes after that is the water.
Cons: Breakfast wasn't great but they did offer a replacement, and that's important. Shower was a little tempramental, cold or nuclear!
5.5 Okay
Pros: Location in Edgartown
Cons: The dirt on the dado rails The property felt sad and tired The breakfast choice was poor The place felt hollow and unloved in need of some warmth The bathroom was very poor you could not easily sit on the toilet - the shower was appallingly bad There was obviously a shortage of soap and toiletries on MV as these were drip fed to us very sparingly The place is in need of an entire refit with some TLC A cash cow for someone
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very friendly and location superb!
Cons: When we arrived our room was very hot and it took several hours to cool it off. Also our room was on the third floor with no elevator so carrying the bags was difficult.
5.5 Okay
Pros: The location is the best thing about the Ashley Inn. Breakfast was fine though nothing special.
Cons: Staff was not prepared for their check-in time of 3:00pm and even at 7:00pm did not have a key for our room available. The bathroom was run down and missing easily replaced items like light bulbs. There was a level of neglect throughout the property.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Location
Cons: Very dirty
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Proximity to shopping and marina. Lovely decor
Cons: The steps to the 3rd floor were steep but was no issue for our 1 night stay
9.1 Excellent
Pros: When we arrived they told us that the room had already been booked, due to another person changing the booking for another website. They quickly told us not to worry and they would honor our booking and work to re-book the other person at another location. In two hours, while we ate lunch, they called and told us that we could check into the room

6.2 Good
Cons: The door to my room didn’t even fully shut. You could hear every step from the people above you. $25 bike rental fee, whereas other hotels on the island offer as a complimentary amenity
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, cookies, and room!!
Cons: I guess it could have been a better breakfast...
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The place was truly in a great location. You didn't need a car and could walk to many bars and restaurants. It you needed an Uber avg wait time was 4 minutes. I would stay there again.
Cons: My only complaint is the facility needs better WiFi and more outlets in room. Easily corrected. With everyone having cell phones, tablets, computers, etc... They need more outlets for charging.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was great!!!
Cons: The noise above us one night. Travel all over the world never heard such noise right above us and no valet service parking was a problem.
6.3 Good
Pros: There was no breakfast so I cant comment but I was left a little disappointed by this property. No warm check in , very much felt like a number - at £500.00 a night I expected a little more ....... not a bad hotel I just felt that as this was for a special trip it didn't wow me as expected. Also annoying that the room rate reduced by £200.00 per day before we arrived - kind of stuck in our throats that we paid £400 more than anyone else staying in a better room? Oh well you live and learn ! Absolutely loved Marthas Vineyard - shame about The Kelley House
Cons: Service
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was wonderful, well-maintained hotel, great location
Cons: It was great
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Kelley House is a terrific hotel in a great location. It’s newly decorated, ( sink into the beds and say AAh! ) super clean and the staff is just the best at responsiveness. ( we were told to drop their name and got into a hot restaurant on a Sat evening!) Parking is on site, a real plus in Edgartown, but not enough for all the guests ( tho there is an overflow lot 3 blocks away) pool is on the small side but with luxury lounges and hotel- provided towels. Not to mention an outside bar 3 steps away. They’ll even bring drinks to you! Service, Service, Service!
Cons: More parking closer by
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect, and the personal touches were wonderful - cookies and milk in the evening, muffins and coffee in the morning, hydrangeas on the host desk. Very clean and spacious rooms.
Cons: no
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location was great. Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable rooms that are quite large.
5.0 Okay
Cons: Booked 2 rooms 1 night , and went to check-in was told one of the rooms was sold to somebody else. We could not share rooms with my coworker. If you have them available not ok to sell the rooms you booked for.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming, cozy place right in the center of Edgartown.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely a wonderful place to stay. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. Rooms were clean and wonderfully decorated. Location was perfect! Could walk to everything. Great breakfast included. Definitely steely would go back.
Cons: Not one thing!
9.5 Excellent
Cons: Not many breakfast options.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is nicely designed with two common guest areas - one indoors and a nice one outdoors. Room was spacious and beautifully decorated. Nice bathroom amenities, as well. Location is fantastic. Breakfast (self serve) is nice but nothing spectacular. They do keep a coffee/sparkling water on tap and cookies for most of the day. Staff was friendly but not stellar.
Cons: I asked questions about the area (beaches, restaurants) and the answers were vague. Was promised breakfast basket as I was leaving early but it never materialized. For the price, service should be great not just decent. Also, first floor room in the back was a bit noisy from street and from adjacent rooms. While I get that it sometimes can’t be helped, I mentioned this and nothing was done to either ameliorate the issue or apology given.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, staff were awesome, great breakfast, quiet facility and restaurants and shops were within walking distance! Would definitely return!
Cons: There are 2 different buildings. We were in the older one and you had to walk outside to get to the other building- a very short distance- but if it was raining you might get wet! Hotel did provide umbrellas!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Loved that it was downtown and staff was very helpful, prompt and friendly!
Cons: Only a little noisy for a Saturday morning because of deliveries:(
6.3 Good
Pros: Friendly staff, clean, great location.
Cons: The hotel, has a slight disconnect problem in terms of flow. A glass of Wine with cheese in the evening would be nice. I didn’t feel anything special about this place.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Tracey was a very gracious manager and the staff was so helpful. The rooms were a good size with great bathrooms. Having the courtyard was delightful
Cons: Nothing

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved everything. Beautiful place and view. Love how the decorated - comfortable simplistic yet elegant. Easy Walking distance to wonderful shops and beach. Lighthouse across the street. Food and drink delicious. And staff wonderful. Can’t wait to come back.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff was awesome.... room was the best view we have had (although we paid for the upgrade)....
Cons: The restaurant was not open... very disappointing... there should have been some compensation for that... I do not believe we were ever notified until we got there... they offered room service and coffee and pastries in the morning in the lobby... but that really didn't make the stay be what we had planned.. we did pay for an upgrade... maybe one of those nights should have been " free" ...
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Great location and great staff
Cons: Showing wear and tear especially in bathrooms and sliders to back porch areas
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed, pillows
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff in front desk Jack who helped us check in and upgraded our room a much bigger that made our 2 nights stay a boost! The hotel offers free bikes that gave us lots of fun to explore Edgartown!
Cons: The service in the swimming area is slow. They don’t get enough waiter.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel concierge Darlene was fabulous!! She worked hard to coordinate our tours to make sure we had the very best!! The service was outstanding! We are definitely coming back!
Cons: Would suggest the hotel serve their guests little treats: chocolate mints on your pillow at night, a small bowl of apples at the reception area and complimentary cookies at the morning coffee bar. The new renovation is beautiful - just missing these small touches of guest appreciation.
7.0 Good
Pros: Location and the manageress 'Dianna'- a charming lady who I am sure will sort out this hotel, as it has a wonderful position and potential
Cons: Reception staff were not so welcoming. Some of the serving staff needed some extra training. Hotel urgently needs an external paint job. Exteriors ( to rear) needed a good sweeping. Room was well appointed but again need some refurbishment Beware the type of room you book as we had no views from our room
5.5 Okay
Pros: Loved the area and the view, sadly the room despite being upgraded didn't meet expectation.
Cons: No heating or blankets despite cool outside temperatures. Room was dirty (food under the sofa bed and really smelly fridge).
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We were happy to get to stay here before they close this week for a $25million dollar Renovation. The charm of the location, old woodwork and wrap around porch with rocking chairs was my favorite.
Cons: The hotel should offer a shuttle to bus stop or ferry stop- pay per person wouldve been a great option
10.0 Excellent
Pros: service poor at breakfast - cold eggs
Cons: cold eggs
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was superb. But also, the rooms need an upgrade. It was nice to hear that the new owner of the hotel will be closing it for the winter and doing a full upgrade. Hopefully it will be ready for the 2019 summer season. We can't wait!

Pros: Everyone was so incredibly kind from the moment we arrived. I was traveling with my 2yo son and they were extremely accommodating of every need. They offered great recommendations for restaurants. And the staff was quite understanding of my toddler being a toddler and having a ball of fun on their lovely porch.
Cons: No elevator but the staff was extremely helpful in getting our things upstairs.
