The location was amazing, so rural and peaceful and yet so close to the airport. The grounds of the property were park-like with many of the plants named and with many interesting wild birds, butterflies and even a monitor lizard. And beyond the property boundary was farmland. Staff were very friendly yet treated us with great courtesy and met all of our requests with pleasure. We made the decision to stay here for 4 nights on our way home from the UK to NZ and it made a very relaxing break in the journey. Staff were also able to arrange a couple of day trips to visit other highlights giving us a appetising taste of Sri Lanka. We took all of our meals at the Villas and enjoyed the generous fruit breakfasts and home prepared evening rice and curries.
Anuhas was close to the airport but hidden away in the countryside so you can easily forget about your journey. The hosts are really friendly and attentive and the villas were so tranquil. Our kids enjoyed exploring the ponds and gardens which.
Comfortable accommodation within a 15-minute drive of the airport. Beautiful modern building and tastefully landscaped gardens. Friendly and helpful staff.
We arrived at the property with our two children early afternoon. Our plan had been to spend the afternoon by the pool with a few beers, have dinner and generally relax before our flight out the next morning. When we arrived the place was empty. After having a look around we finally found one of the managers. It appeared they were not expecting us - even though we had booked months in advance. Now we understand they have had many cancellations in light of recent events; however, we were not one of them. Anyway, we were taken to our room, which was great (apart from a musty, unlived-in smell and aircon filters in desperate need of a clean - which I did myself). The pool is beautiful and set amid lush gardens, but unfortunately it was so murky (green in colour) that we were unable to see the bottom. We opted not to swim in it and instead headed into Negombo for the afternoon. Whilst there I received some messages from the owner (out of town) apologising for the confusion at check-in. This was appreciated. Breakfast the next morning and our airport transfer went very smoothly. Sadly our stay did not reflect many of the reviews I had read on here. I sympathise with the owners given the amount of cancellations they've had recently. However, I do think they should have been ready to welcome us as guests. In spite of this, when the place is back on its feet we would consider staying again.
Everything. I would single out the lovely setting - a beautiful garden surrounded by trees and paddi fields. However, you have to ignore the sound of a plane taking off every couple of hours.
The hosts made our stay amazing. They really took care of us. Very nice people who go the extra mile to make you feel home. Food was DELICIOUS!!! Garden is stunning Swimming pool
Bed was noisy and uncomfortable. Room and food prices are above sri lanka average price for this kind of villa. (Food was worth it though)
