A diverse mix of guests, made this feel like a destination. I will being staying here often. Beds could use an upgrade, but it isn't a deal breaker.
In addition to a nice room, it had a really good restaurant, and the staff were very accommodating!
Great little hotel! Staff was all extremely polite and courteous
Service, atmosphere and food were terrific. Slight musty smell in the upstairs hallway and room
Great location, lovely taproom downstairs with good food, great staff. Very, very spotty internet. Don't know if that was an issue just for our stay or a consistent problem. We weren't working so it wasn't much of an issue for us, but for a business traveler it could be an issue.
Cool, funky decor; large outdoor patio, special events, complimentary massage We should have had a phone in our room to have food delivered to our room, should have had a free continental breakfast option versus the pay for all you can eat on weekends, and room toilet had some issues often.
The hotel is centrally located and close to many restaurants, parks, and museums.
I loved this hotel. It has the vibe of a bed and breakfast. The building is historic but has been beautifully decorated and remodeled. The staff was very nice and helpful. We took their shuttle to our venue and when we ready to be picked up they were there in minutes to give us a ride back. The room and bed was comfortable. The bathroom was small, but goes in line with the historic feel of the place. I would definitely stay hear again.
It's a neat hotel! Very quaint and inviting. It had a nice pool and outside bar area. I could have stayed out there all night. :) I wasn't a fan of their not being room service. It's not a deal breaker by any means but I would have preferred not to have to go down stairs and place an order, wait for it and then bring it upstairs. Otherwise, no other complaints.
rooms were fine, though bathtub was not totally clean! no phone in room, not a big deal if your have a cell phone i guess. bar area was crazy noisy at night and at breakfast.
Very clean. The downtown St. Petersburg location. No free parking: From Friday evening to Monday morning you can find free parking spot near parking meters in a few blocks radius around hotel. Hot water is changing temperature from warm to cold.
It's a great price, but it's the same price as the Avalon and Hollander. But.... those places strive to be the best even at the discounted price. First impression was the musty/moldy smell of the building. Then there was the 18" TV. This is the same size as my office computer monitor and smaller than the monitor for the receptionist. The cable wire itself was just hanging across the room, not mounted, not trying to be disguised in any way. Wrong remote for the TV so you couldn't access the guide, sleep timer or screen size. Had to watch NBA playoff game where it looked like this "CAVS 68 BOS" because Boston's score was cut off from the TV being stuck in zoom mode. Turned the hot water on for 10 minutes and finally got in. Used 0 cold water and it was still basically a cold shower. Front desk said I probably just needed to play around with the hot water handle a little more. That doesn't explain no hot water in the sink either.
Location The elevator in the hotel was out of service during my stay, carrying luggage up 4 flights of steep stairs wasn't pleasant. Elevator in the parking garage is also out of service...so again carrying luggage up and down.
Staff was rude and had to pay to park because the lady during check in never offered me a parking pass. Ridiculous .
The location, feel, and decor of the hotel is wonderful, and I love the different options of restaurants. The staff, while friendly, seemed more apt to give excuses rather than solve problems, the hours of operation advertised contradicted the actual hours of each resturant, and although the website claims parking is available, the hotel does not actually have their own parking.
Location is great for the downtown area, waterfront, restaurants & Bars Bare bones minimum. Feels like you're staying in a random apartment. Bring plenty of booze to get liquored up before you go to bed. Just weird. Random decor.
Nice size room for a boutique hotel, in a fantastic location on every growing St Pete dt. Farmers market on Saturday is across the street. Outdated bathrooms, and as mentioned the beds were a little uncomfortable. Hallways were a little shabby.
The staff was beyond welcoming and so kind, and the location couldn't be more perfect. The room was small but it was the perfect size for what we needed! Loved it! The bed was a little stiff, but definitely nothing worth complaining about. Nothing but good things to say about the Ponce De Leon!
Well maintained & tastefully decorated. Staff is personable, helpful & professional. Lovely view of the bay from the 6th floor & great location in general.
Great location. Within walking distance to the waterfront, museums, shops and restaurants. Felt safe as a solo traveler. Parking not convenient. My room was above the restaurant so I could hear the customers outside on the patio. Thankfully it was a Monday night, so the noise died down early.
I loved the location. Walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Rooms weren't ready 5 minutes before check in. Older hotel with rooms to match. Small outdated bathrooms.
This was our 2nd stay at this Hampton Inn. Amazing hot breakfast! Clean, comfortable room with plenty of counter space. Friendly staff. The pool and hot tub area has beautiful landscaping. I'd recommend staying at this hotel.
clean, comfortable, good value
The staff was accommodating. Occasional musty smell most likely associated with humid weather.
The staff was very courteous and friendly, and we enjoyed the daily continental breakfast, which had a wide selection, and included fresh fruits, yogurt and orange juice. The pool is adjacent to the hotel at the front facing the car park, which doesn't give guest much privacy
The lobby. when you first walk it is breathtaking and you feel like yeah I'm fine dining and dropping 140 on a night just to relax ...until you get on the elevator and by that evening the regret sets spending that much money on underwhelming temporary digs 140 bucks I would have expected something a little more upscale. Mold smell, thin walls, Bad lighting . I saw a black fly looking very similar to a full grown bed bug, but I can't confirm. it had the feel of a cheap hotel just with better sheets. I paid 35 more for smoking and when I got there they had no idea of my reservation and I got jolted out of 35 bucks . Thanks Kayak . The front desk was pleasant and professional.
Beach front. Staff was nice. Tile floors in the bedroom and bathroom which is great for cleanup but also makes it easy for bare feet to pick up all the sand and debris that you bring in from outside. Beautiful view from Spinner and Rooftop restaurants which also light up in colors at night. My kids loved the breakfast buffet $16 A/$8 C. Good for the value if you're hungry and like eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, grits, oatmeal and cereal in large quantities. Lots of palm trees situated around the back of the hotel partially shading the pool deck during the day and creates a nice setup for weddings. Water at the beach was turquoise and pretty but not clear. Calm waters in the mornings, a little choppy in the evenings. No big waves so forgo the boogie boards unless you just want it as a floating device. Parking was a hit or miss. Nice layout outside for parking and traffic flow but underneath the garage was a nightmare, not ideal for big cars. Good location for walking to other restaurants, stores and entertainments. Swimming suit cover up required while inside the hotel. Bathroom was tiny. Nice for small people but tight for big people. Hallway carpet is dated and smelled. Elevator is tiny and right in the path going from the front of the resort to the back entrance to the beach. Lots of traffic jams during peak hours. Swimming pool is small. It's supposed to be heated but doesn't always feel so. No hot tub. Good to have restaurants on sight but food was expensive. Service at Bongos was ok. Super busy so the wait is long. Bring your own umbrella to the beach or you can rent a cabana $25/umbrella $35.
Housekeeping was not good. Left dirty dishes in the room, didn't replace coffee or coffee cups.
The Beach and easy access. Bongos is the best and wait staff at Bongos is outstanding!!! Food is wonderful! Spinners has always been a favorite of my family's, all visiting relatives have always taken trips up there for the view. All employees were friendly from top to bottom, very professional, fun and energetic. The breakfast buffet went up in price and should at least include orange juice which was 3.50 for a glass. I assumed a beverage such as juice would have been included. The elevators are slow and more computers or a private room with computers would be nice, like the Serata has, which requires a room key for access and has 4 computers, a business center. The gym is low rate and some machines are off balance on the floor. Seems unused and unkept.
I love the restaurant that they have on the roof top. I also love the views. N/A
Very dated. Staff is very professional and friendly! (They are doing that right) Property just needs updating overall. Rooms not quiet. Can hear neighbors like they are in your room. Parking is decent, go in the underground garage and take elevator right up to your room.
Room was nice. Bar under window open till 300am .loud music. 600am maintenence people start loud machinery. Crazy. No sleep.
The staff was so nice and friendly. The food was delicious. Everything was right there. Restuarants, bars, entertainment and beach. What else do you need Nothing
Location location location! Great food and exceptional beach bar / restaurant. Old hotel. Needs more updates
Spinning restaurant, beach front location ! The hallways were not cleaned. They were dirty. The decor of the hotel is outdated.
The best price for beach front. Room was dirty, stain on sheets, hair on bathroom floor and in shower. Breakfast food not the good for the price but iHop is across the street.
The Lounge and Spinners had excellent food and amazing views. Good location and it's right on the beach. Sheets were not soft, walls were thin, and elevator was slow.
The people at the service desk were excellent. The top floor with the spectacular views were wonderful. The outside bar was romantically set up with live music on the beach was great. Every room had a balcony and all felt like you were at an exclusive resort. Very clean. We arrived at 11 AM and they welcomed us and told us which rooms were available. Alan
Staff was very welcoming and this had the feeling of a luxury business hotel. We needed a King with a pull out couch, and after a problem with the first room we were upgraded to a Jr. Suite with a separate bedroom. This made the stay very comfortable--I wish we had stayed here more nights. This hotel is tucked in a business park area with not many cars passing by. There isn't much around this hotel, which might be why it felt so quiet.
When there was no Sweet N Low in the room for coffee and they ran out downstairs; we let the front desk know and due to housekeeping would have been 20 minutes; the girl from the front desk brought it to our room herself within 5 minutes. Requested pool towel replacement for an evening of swimming and it was fairly busy; housekeeping was out there within 5 minutes stocking up. Really good accommodations. This Hilton goes out of their way to make your stay pleasant! P.S. - Publix and a few restaurants were right in the park, which was an added bonus!
Great staff- helpful, cheerful, funny, kind. way to soft beds and pillows- food prices are very high for what you pay for high priced room, and would have been nice receiving free coffee when ordering meals.
I was local and my AC went out so I stayed at this hotel. Very nice and comfortable. A little expensive for a Tuesday!
Directly on a beautiful beach. Easy to find. Everything you need is in the resort.
beach attendants very helpful and accommodating, especially Earnie Extra charges in the last few years such as parking and newspapers placed at doors in the morning.
Luxurious and relaxing
Great value. Beautiful sunset. Too far from downtown
Location is good, 8min to Pier. The supermarket and some food store is just besides the hotel, very convenient. The room is old,and the staff sometimes forget to change the towel. The dryer is very very dirty, not like a 5 star hotel.
Offered shuttle bus to Tropicana Field to attend baseball game. Helpful staff (especially Edith Odonez) Nothing. Great experience
The staff was great. They even comped our parking because it was my husband's birthday. N/A
Clean, good location. Can't have a rollaway bed in a room with two double beds. Have to go to front desk for ice!!!
The location When it stormed I had to park in a bank parking lot around the corner which made it for a very undesirable walk. When I pulled into the bank parking lot the attendant refused to let me park stating he had no idea what I was talking about. 2nd issue. The first front desk woman that checked us in was amazing. So helpful and nice! You could tell she really enjoys her job. The front desk girl who checked us out was horrible. She checked us out on Sunday August 31st. I asked the lady a couple questions about the area and she couldn't answer anything and appeared to not wanted to be bothered. I understand you have a concierge but he wasn't available. Please educate your guests a little about the area. Like recommendation on a nice restaurant. 3rd issue. The room was huge but I stepped in something that was very slimy. It appeared to be maple syrup which was all over the floor. I have stayed there before and had a better experience
Shuttle service This was not a great hotel for family visits. Also, we had to pay extra for everything - parking was $16 a night , and for the price of a room it would have been nice to have some form of complimentary breakfast. I guess the more you pay, the more you have to pay. They made a big point of letting us know that the ice was complimentary, which made me laugh because where in this country is it not?
There was no hot water the evening we checked in Had to wait until morning to shower
The resort was very nice and was "on the beach"! Staff was very informative and helpful. Bernard helped us to our room and was very pleasant and gave us the information about the pools and the several restaurants on sight. The beds were not very comfortable. There were alot of children and if you are looking for an adult resort; this is not your place. Parking was sometimes difficult to find.
Beach location. Music at two different Bar/Restaurants. Breakfast at the Rum Runners Bar Area was good and right where the beach begins with a nice view of the gulf. Housekeeping did a good job making sure we didn't run out of amenities, coffee or towels. A little outdated but very clean. Ran out of toilet paper once since there wasn't an extra replaced under the sink that we used but there were tissues (housekeeping didn't notice right away.) There was a dehumidifier in the room that we had to empty ourselves 3 times since it would stop working once it was full. We thought housekeeping would take care of it but when they didn't, we did it ourselves rather than calling for someone to come each time. We had an evening flight and asked for an extended checkout. We were told that our room type was completely booked. They told us we could only have till noon when we wanted till 2 or 3 pm. We were there for 8 days and since check in wasn't until 4 pm we didn't think it was too much to ask. Then we found out we could pay extra to stay a few hours more which we did. Just felt that we were there for a long enough stay that it should have been a courtesy. Forgot to mention the night we came back to the room during a tropical storm we couldn't get into our room because the latch somehow latched when housekeeping closed the door leaving us in pouring rain and 50 mile an hour winds trying to get in at 8:30 at night. . We had to wait in a stairwell since the doors are open to the outside to try to call the front desk since the weather was too bad and it was too far for us to walk to the front desk. The phone number on the room key is for reservations. It took 3 calls and 1/2 hour to connect to an operator for the hotel. Lucky for us security came by in the stairwell at that point and went to get a special tool to open our room. I recommend keeping the front desk direct phone number on your phone for emergencies.
love the location and the pools are great. Harry's is delish. Some of the wait staff were not that great. The male waiter at Harry's took forever and would rarely check on you.
Sirata has everything you need in one resort. It has a close proximity to the beach more than one pool in more than one jacuzzi. it has a clean room nice gym to work out in including free weights in the SIRATA also has A good laundry room. I recommend this ace to friends and I plan on returning in the future.
Very friendly staff, great location on the beach, good food and food reasonably priced, full-sized fridge Bedroom faces outdoor corridor so it is loud (doors closing, guests walking by), room was somewhat outdated
The beach The fact I got in my room an hour after they said I could. I had to call to get my room cleaned after 4 days of no room service
View and location to beach, several pools / beach bars / restaurants on site A little busier than expected with families this time of year, but no big deal
Clean rooms, friendly staff, good location on St. Pete Beach Poor service at breakfast restaurant with squirrels under outer table. Worn out facilities.
Love all staff, very nice
my room was very nice
Was the Best on the whole beach family oriented. The staff was perfect. Fantastic home away from home. Thank you all. There wasn't anything one could have complained about.
The beach was nice and had a lot of beach chairs. Room seemed a little worn out.
The location on the beach was great! Staff were not attentive to guests even though occupancy was low.
The weather was fantastic. The meeting facilities were nice and the food served at the meetings was good.
The exercize facility Complimentary Coffee in am in immediate lobby would be nice
Didn't like that you got your parking pass from the Time Share people, if I wish to have a time share, i will purchase a time share. I'm on vacation and do not need a sales pitch!
Nothing Price was why too much. Building was why too old .no fan in bath room. T.V. do not work when we got there.air conditionor was old fashion. When it was on to cold. When it turned off to hot very hard to sleep.
Ideal for families. So much to do and such a beautiful location. Something for everyone. Food was pricey, but to be expected.
Easy to get around
Beachfront location, lots of activities, Loud court yard noise
Cleanliness, comfort. Good attention and service. It does not have cable tv. The parking spaces are awfully narrow, that leads to scratches on vehicles.
Great location with lots of activities on the beach. Family/kid friendly. Great staff. Resort restaurants were convenient and good food. Great value for the price. Free parking and free beach cabana for guests was nice also. Would definitely stay again. Room was small
The front desk staff was really great. When we found a roach in our room, they bent over backwards to move us. The pools are also very nice. The view of the water was amazing. The fact that I found a roach in my room and had to be moved was inconvenient. Their "beach" was disgusting and very small. It was definitely misleading advertisement. It was covered in seaweed and overall was just not an enjoyable area. The intersection to turn onto the road the road to get to the hotel is very confusing.
Restaurant had great food. Very helpful , friendly staff. Room could use a few updates but staff cleaned well.
Shortly after check-in a maintenance man came in unannounced and started working on the toilet while my wife and I were trying to relax; he kept leaving and coming back because his manager kept calling him away. Two hours later, after he finished the job, it took 3 calls to the front desk to have a staff member come clean up the toilet water, rocks, and whatever else managed to end up on our bathroom floor. Even after someone came to clean, the bathroom was still covered in toilet repair gunk. There were wrappers and cups found in drawers from previous visitors, hair left in the "clean" towels we were issued, and stains all over the blankets. Overall it is the worst experience I have ever had, it was worse than sketchy one-star hotels I have stayed at. The staff was very unprofessional, things should be taken care of before the room is issued out; the place left my wife and I constantly feeling gross, the cleaning people were terrible; and I hated every moment I was there .
Great to have marina available for our boat. We were there for 3 days and 2 of the 3 mornings we had no hot water. Rooms could be much cleaner and linens didn't feel clean. Stains present on linens.
Age of facility, cleanliness
Liked that there was resteraunt onsite Having a group of athletes there taking up jacuzzi
Location good, staff very helpful. Wifi worked well. The room was very damp and smelled like it hadn't been used in awhile. Blow dryer in room did not work and looked as thought it had burned up way before my stay. No extra blow dryers to use. The restaurant was not open for coffee in the early morning before my departure and, although there was a coffeemaker provided in the room, the coffee was really bitter.
Rooms need to be updated.
Location on the water and right off the highway. Facilities are a little run down.
The safe in the room , the frig, I was able to put my medication in it and not worry the rest of my stay. The staff was very cordial. The restaurant on the marina was good and so was the service. Location was easy as well. We will be back. ty :) I would of liked a microwave in the room for a late night snack. (popcorn). Water bottles a little pricey $1.89 each.
The hotel was close to a party venue I was attending. I knew it would be a late night, so I didn't want to drive all the way home. My room was ready, when I arrived, and clean. The staff was very nice and welcoming. It's not a fancy hotel, but I wasn't looking for that. It's an older facility, with the typical musty Florida smell. I didn't check out the pool, the beach bar, or the restaurant onsite, so I can't speak to those.
The entire staff was extremely accommodating. The restaurant at the hotel was very good and very nice. We loved the view. More elevators would have been helpful for my handicapped mother in law.
Very nice place to stay , probably avoid holiday weekends , if you are traveling with families , staff very friendly , always security staff present , outside pool area seemed to be very clean and maintained. Staircase and walls are In need of fresh coat of paint , a little grungy .. Floors in the room never cleaned , sand beneath our feet.. Housekeeping needs to be addressed , location very nice . The rooms seemed a bit warm , Ac is centrally controlled , had to be moved to another room, definitely adjusted the Ac at night as it seemed to be very uncomfortable for sleeping .. Prob hotel watching costs , instead of guest satisfaction .. Keep your eye on additional fees and taxes when booking rooms ..
location many issues with reservations using booking.com. staff was rude about the extra day we needed. will not return
It was a rip off to have an additional charge of $22.60 per day for no justifiable reason? We received no special service, nor did the resort offer any exceptional amenities? The overall experience was mediocre and I would not recommend it to my friends or family.
We found our stay to be very relaxing, clean. Staff was great as well as amenities! All kinds of activities onsite. Plus.. It's on the beach and close to local attractions and thanks to their 'in-room' book, we went deepsea fishing and dolphin watching. Loved the decor and atmosphere! PCI needs more ice machines, that's it!
Liked the beachy/surfer "feel" of the location. I travelled in January and the weather wasn't great (windy and cold) plus there is some construction going on, mostly in the main lobby I believe. This really didn't impact my trip, as I was there for a friends wedding taking place literally just down the road. For the money and location, great value. I'd love to come back here and enjoy the pool/beach during the summer! Loud people next door and above my room - or perhaps the walls are just a little thin? The room could use some new paint and a few non-essential updates.
Amazing location, cool bar, laid back environment
Love the decor and amenities. Overall...a great stay.
Postcard Inn was what we were looking for in a quick getaway over the holidays. We had a king size garden view room. We were on the top 2nd level, no elevator. The main hotel entry was nicely decorated, lots of hangout places, a big table with games (my daughter loved the 3D tic TAC toe). There was also a photo booth. The Boathouse was a restaurant attached to the lobby...no room service. The garden had lots of lounging places too. There was an outdoor pool table and ping pong. At night the garden was lit with lanterns, and there was a fire pit. There is a snack shack next to the beach bar which is on St. Pete's beach. The pool supposed was heated and looked awesome, but was closed. The pool was a major reason for choosing this hotel. I wanted a heated pool as we were traveling in December. When I confirmed over the phone before booking the pool was heated; the receptionist said the pool would be closed for the first dayof our stay...however, we could use the pool at the next door hotel. The PostCard Inn pool was being filled when we arrived, so I looked forward to hanging out there and happily used the heated pool next door at "BeachComber". Unfortunately, during our entire stay of 4 days, the pool never opened. This was extremely dissapointing. On the third day heading over to BeachComber's pool, I was hassled by their maids for using their pool, they called their supervisor to confirm that we did not have access to their pool, but let us go swimming there anyway. The low was 40F one night we were there. So in anticipation, I turned up the thermostat to 75F that nice. I am fairly confident the heat wasn't working...because it was very cold. The next night was again cold, and I cranked up the thermostat to its maximum...88F and still was cold. The rooms had high ceilings, were cutely decorated but the bathrooms were tiny. Also, there were wooden blinds that could close, but no curtains to be pulled over...just decorative curtains. There was a TV and padded wooden chair. Between the room/bathroom there was a closet/dressing room...it was very tiny, but had hangers on one side and shelving on the other. The Boathouse restaurant was overpriced and wasn't really very good for dinner. We had a hamburger and shrimp tacos. Breakfast was nice though - biscuits and gravy and an omelette.
Loved the lobby full of games , books and yummy coffee
I was really looking forward to this weekend, in fact I proposed to my girlfriend. My room's AC didn't work the entire stay. Then instead of compensating me they charged me a resort fee. I got charged extra for staying in an uncomfortable room.
it was a beautiful spot and the staff was nice I felt like I was staying in a college dorm in the middle of a frat party
Affordable, location on the beach, and staff were all great.
The room was quite spacious and amazing: we had a kitchenette with a full size refrigerator, a small, glass-top stove, a dishwasher, and a microwave. The TV was set up to swivel around to the living room-type area or to be viewed from the king size bed (which was unfathomably comfortable). The water in the shower stayed a constant temperature the entire time, which is always nice. We're pretty sure we had a wheelchair-accessible room, so that may account for some of the roominess (as well as the hand rails in the bathroom). Breakfast the first day was ham and cheese omelets, sausage patties, and home fries one day, and scrambled eggs, bacon, and sausage the next, which is in addition to the usual assortment of breads, bagels, muffins, waffle makers, coffees, teas, yogurts, juices, milk, cereals, etc. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, they do "socials" where they serve complimentary meals, wine, and beer. We only ate there one of the two nights, which was Italian or Polish sausages on buns and hamburgers and a modest salad bar. The pool looked amazing, but we stayed in February during one of the coldest weeks this winter so far, so we didn't use it. The location would have been great if we had been in town for a Tampa Bay Rays game; Tropicana Field is easily within walking distance. Our phone rang at 1:30 AM or so the first night, and no one at reception seemed to know why the next morning. Also, the hotel is U-shaped, and our room was on the far side of the U from reception (minor inconvenience, though). Other than those two minor things, there really isn't much to complain about. I may book a block of rooms here for guests for my wedding.
This is hands down the best hotel, for the money. It is absolutely awesome for anything near this price. Trying to think of anything negative and there isn't any. Just go ahead and book it. This is a sure bet.
Comfy bed, spacious room, abundant breakfast with takeout bag, friendly helpful staff, nice extras--coffee, drinks, and snacks in the lobby throughout the day; printed out google maps. Being able to hear the people in the adjoining room through the connecting doors was the only complaint.
Great place to stay! Very conveniently located right off highway so it's easily accessible. Close to Central Avenue and the Waterfront Atta (used to be the pier). Clean and comfortable. Wish it was less expensive.
We loved the free taco bar.
Small operation that goes above & beyond to make the stay memorable. The staff is awesome - they work hard to maintain their reputation. Great food & wine list. It's our favorite local hideaway for a staycation - the room service might as well be a dining experience in & of itself. The rooms are romantic - relatively regal for the price - you simply don't care to leave them. It's no the fault of the facility - truly. You have to resign yourself to the fact that you are in a popular area - and there is a rooftop bar (The Canopy) at the hotel. The operations surrounding the place can get loud early - but nothing some music or TV can't drown out. If you're having the fun you should be - it won't be an issue.
Such great value. Spacious room, beautiful breakfast and friendly staff
The location is close to restaurants, bars, museum, and colleges. Unfortunately that attracts groups of people that are there to party and stay up all night. After we discovered that our neighbors brought their own stereo with sub-woofer and invited all their friends to hang out in their room, we tried to move rooms. We were not moved and had to call the front desk more than 20 times over the next couple of hours to try and resolve this issue. No luck. The front desk was completely incapable of resolving this issue. I guess 20 year old college students that work at the hotel aren't capable of controlling the behavior of their guests. if you're lucky enough to have quiet neighbors, the hotel is alright. If not, then be prepared for a long night.
Perfect location the staff was outstanding from the valet to the front desk. The lobby hugged me from the time I walked in til the time I left. I would stay again.
The bed was comfortable. One of the best blankets I've encountered. Can't think of anything.
My daughter and I recently stayed while she was on break from College. We had an excellent experience. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our accommodations. The valet service was excellent . Loved the bedding. We will return! The bathroom could use a fan. The bathroom sink drained slowly.
Staff was very friendly. Great location. I will definitely stay here again.
Clean super white bedding, free breakfast and walking distance to everything! The $14 valet parking fee!
We have stayed at Bilmar many times and always have a great visit. The rooms are spotless, modern and very comfortable. Breakfast at Bazzie's Beach Cafe are excellent. Walk from your room to the immense Treasure Island beach, or just a few minutes' drive to a dozen other T.I. attractions. They should install pneumatic wheels on the hotel laundry and housekeeping trolleys -- they make an incredible amount of noise going past your room on the brick corridors, and always seem to be busiest when we are trying to nap!
The view was spectacular. It was fun having the use of free bicycles, ocean kayaks and paddle boards. The food options were great. They didn't clean our room everyday. One day all they did was make the beds. No trash was taken out and they didn't vacuum the floor. With two toddlers in diapers the trash needed to be emptied every day and the floor vacuumed.
Beach front. lots of restaurants nearby, large beach and good walking trail. good location but the facilities are old but good. The front desk was very subtle, beware of stingrays and surprise charges. Paid $134.40 plus $15 and got the worst room in the resort, dark, dingy room with no view whatsoever, they had mentioned that it had a pool view, not thru the window but thru the door peephole. Walls on both sides plus small windows. The facilities were good, the room was very clean but found couple of live roaches. The rooms are noisy. On checkout they charged me a resort fee of $15 plus tax for parking and amenities, which they never mentioned at booking, check-in or in the fine print. They say complimentary parking but they get us somehow or the other. I had 4 days off and was so glad that I stayed only one day, they are several great places nearby. I saved some money there. The beach was great and had lot of fun. The weather was excellent. The food at the restaurant was ok, I had to get the bill corrected three time – watch out like a hawk. Money greedy people. Not worth the money.
Easy walk to variety of restaurants and shops. Very short drive to other destinations.
Beach front, lots of stuff going on in general area, convenient etc. There were some fees that brought the nightly price from what I thought was a real bargain, right up to lots of other places in the area that I usually stay. I'm sure the fees were disclosed somewhere when I booked the room online but it raised the room price quite a bit compared to the $93 per night (plus fees) I thought I was paying. It seemed a tad sneaky to me and I wouldn't stay here again because of this.
Rooms and bathrooms were small. No fan in bathroom-hot. Bartenders were rude.
We booked a room with a balcony and the view of the ocean was great. The room was very clean, and to our surprise had a pretty nice kitchenette. The beach was not crowded at all, which was very nice. The resort fee included daily free kayak or paddle board rental, which we took advantage of everyday with no wait. It also included free beach chairs, but we brought our own so we could have saved on room in the car had we known beforehand. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend The Bilmar to anyone looking to enjoying Treasure Island. The only negative thing about our stay was that our room was not ready for us to check in until about 4:40, and check in was at 4:00. Not a big deal since we were able to hang out by the pool while we waited.
Cheerful rom with great views A little noisy
We booked our room and we're charged but when we arrived there were no rooms available and I still have not received my refund...which did put us on a bind that was 500 dollars that we didn't have for the rest of our trip...very sissappoints
clean, and very hospitable staff very nice shampoo and conditioner and soap! Location on beach is very convienent the cost - one night 197.00 way too expensive
The Bilmar is very clean and right on the beach. The room looked over the water. It was chilly outside the nights I was there and enjoyed sitting by a fire pit that they had. Had dinner at Sloppy Joes. Good food at a good price. Nothing
Cleanliness Double charged for the room, greeting and acknowledgement from staff was void and rare, after waiting approximately 20 minutes on 2 croissants we walked out due to timeliness, to enter vehicle we had to obtain keys from valet because vehicles are gated.

The staff was the friendliest group of people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. The service was amazing. They treated our furry family member just as well, if not better. So extremely accommodating. Room did not have a refrigerator.
The entire staff was wonderful and made you feel part of the environment. The whole vibe of the property is awesome! I really appreciated the nice touch of the text from the front desk to see if I needed anything but it became a little un personal to get one as often as I did via text on my phone.

Very comfortable and laid back. I absolutely enjoyed our stay.
Really comfy bed and bright, tropical decor. Awesome location. The bath was very small making it difficult for 2 people to get ready but understood because it is an old building.
Close proximity to work and places to eat. My TV had lines going through the screen. Shower floors were shockingly dirty considering the price for an older upscale hotel. I booked a king size room online and was forced to take a double. I think I was intentionally given the worst room they had.
This hotel was vibrant with lots of character. The staff was amazing and the food was delicious. Parking is $14 a day.
Hotel staff was truly amazing. Friendly, accommodating and professional. After having the valet park my car I went on a walk about 1.5hrs later, only to find the valet joy riding in my truck. This was a third party company, from what I was told. However, the hotel staff was swift about handling the situation.
Free bike rentals No free parking
Beachfront and beach access. 3 great beachfront too bars. Rooms were disgusting. Bathroom was awful.
Corner room close to loud bar through priceline - no water views
The room was clean and the big closet was very nice. The pools were really nice. Staff was friendly. The 1" step going into the bathroom, we stubbed our toes a couple times. There isn't a complimentary breakfast.
location staff dirty bed linens loud Spring Break guys next door bathroom
Very large room with kitchen and large closet Bugs, no view, loud beach bar, aggressive parking attendant, mediocre front desk, commercial type toilet, old shower fixtures, overall uncleanliness
Perfect place for a getaway. On the beach. Live music at Jimmie B's. Heated pools. Great wait staff.
I liked that it seemed like the center of activity on the beach. Jimmy B's was right there on the beach, grab a dri K listen to the ocean or the band. The courtyard was nice to have chairs outside your room to sit and relax. Parking was tight and often almost full.
The room and staff were wonderful. Gary the entertainer at Jimmy Bs was awesome. The food was wonderful. The grounds were beautiful. Richard at the front desk was more than hospitable. Everything was just perfect
Easy access to beach Broken lamp Dead battery in TV remote
Love the resort. Great location the food is good - eating local or on property is easy. Love the live music and great sunsets! Roach in room and the WiFi was not staying strong while in the room. However, the staff was quick to help. I received a call back and a knock on door to check to see if all was ok. But still had problems.
Walking distance to everything, clean rooms and bug free. The food and drinks were a bit pricey and the heated pool was too warm. Bring cash to rent chairs on the beach.
Near beach. Very Noisy. Dirty carpet.
Beach location and quality are super!!!! Beach
Being right on the beach was awesome! I had three grandchildren all under the age of 11 and I didn't want to have to cross the street to get to the beach. The room was comfortable and the kids loved it. They closed the pool at 10 in the morning and the kids had to get out which disappointed them greatly. They were cleaning the pool which I thought was an odd time to do that.
Not quite enough parking.
Friendly staff, clean, great view on the beach, amazing sunsets, good food and beach bar. Convenient to other beachfront restaurants/bars also. We always look forward to coming here! The barstools at Flippers are pretty wobbly and uncomfortable and we'd be more prone to hang out longer if there were live music more often...but the view is unbeatable and Amanda makes great Miami Vices and Bloody Marys!
Rooms were clean, hotel lobby, bar, and pool area always clean. Hotel staff were always friendly, courteous and helpful. Ice machine on our floor was broken for the length of our stay
The staff were amazing. That's the only positive. Overall, the amount of money I spent for a 2 night stay had me feeling ripped off. The place is tired & dated. Not worth it.
I loved everything!!! You walk out of the hotel and you're on the beach! The beach bar (Flipper's) had some great drinks, and featured live music too! The kitchen also had an amazing menu (we ordered coconut shrimp, chicken quesadillas, and fish tacos-all delicious)!!! The rooms are spacious, with a small fridge, microwave, and cabinet storage. Some rooms have a balcony so you can step out and smell the gulf breeze! And the beds are super comfortable, for a good night's rest! And then there's the staff... Always willing to give suggestions, of things to do, provide maps or call car services to get you there... And generally showing that they are interested and cared! Want to save a little money, there's a full grocery store across the street, liquor store too (and another a half mile down the street)! We didn't even need a car rental, having taken a $30 Uber from the Tampa airport! Want to splurge a little? There's lots of great bars and drink specials up and down the beach... Everything a short beach (or sidewalk) walk away! Level 11 is a great stop to watch the sunset, with delicious appetizers, good service and a view that no one else on the beach offers! This stay was priced so economically, that we were hesitant upon arrival, but on departure, determined that we'd definitely be back! This is a highly recommend place to stay!!! You can enjoy a lot of the benefits of other hotels in the area bars, restaurants, music, etc., But staying here saves a good deal of money making it a most- economical choice!!! The only downfall, and it's a very minor one, was the water pressure in the room could have been a bit stronger! That's it!
We loved our stay! Wish we could have stayed longer! Would definitely recommend. Tub didn't drain well. But everything else was excellent!!
Beachfront The staff was rude and not accommodating, I had booked two night but had 2 reservations (1 night stay per reservation) instead of combining the two reservations I had to check out and then check back in. The shower was awful, almost no water pressure and the valves didn't close all the way so a steady stream would leak throughout the day. Half of the power outlets worked, which is frustrating when you are trying to get ready in the bathroom and can't blow dry your hair. The only nice thing about this place was the beach access, but it's right next to the public beach access and I'd rather stay elsewhere and walk to the public beach than stay here again.
Awesome location and everything you need if you are looking for affordable accommodation The wifi didn't really work so well.
It seemed like a lovely place; nice room, nice pool, beautiful beach view. We were near a roomful of partying college or high school kids; we ended up flushing the $200 we paid for our room and moving to another hotel so we could sleep.
The view was absolutely amazing! You really are ON the beach and the pool/restaurant/bar/live music/ rooms were all 10 out of 10's! Not to mention the water sports kiosk right out back where water activities are is your fingertips! We will continue to come back to this resort time and time again... it's hard to beat how beatuiful, relaxing and amazing one place can be. Not to mention on-shore you're conveniently located near even more restaurants, grocery stores and attractions. Best Spot in Florida I've ever stayed. The only negative is that our check in was scheduled for 11:00am - and when we arrived to check in they told us they wouldn't be checking anyone in until 1:00pm.. Although it was a bit disappointing, the staff was gracious enough to let us park, help us put our bags in the back - and encouraged us to hit the beach/pool/ and bar right outside until we could check into our room! What's not to love about that?!?
ALTHOUGH THE HOTEL WAS PRETTY GOOD THERE WAS SOME QUESTIONABLE AREAS IN CLOSE PROXIMITY OF THE HOLTEL THAT I DID NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE WALKING BY THERE IS SOME GREAT RESTURANTS IN THE AREA BETTER IF YOU DRIVE TO THEM ALSO MY BIGGEST PROBLEM I HAD WITH THIS LOCATION WAS THE FACT THAT THE MANDATORY VALET PARKING ACTUALLY COST YOU EACH NIGHT YOU STAYED THERE THE HOTEL MANAGEMENT MADE NO EFFORT TO MAKE SURE YOU WERE AWARE OF THIS UNTIL YOU GOT YOUR FINAL CHECK OUT BILL WHEN I QUESTIONED THIS I WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS NOTICES IN YOUR ROOM AND IN THE LOBBY WHICH WHEN I RECHECKED I FOUND NO NOTICES ANYWHERE SO BE PREPARED FOR A SURPRISE ON YOUR BILL
This hotel was great overall. Nothing super special, but a clean, comfortable, central "home-base" for a vacation stay. The elevators were really sketchy. One was really old and creaky. My boyfriend got stuck in the other one for 20 minutes with sporadic electricity and physical jolting. When he finally made it off, he went to the front desk. They only gave him a neutral statement a la "glad you made it off." No apology, no indication that it would get fixed. He said they didn't even seem surprised by the incident.
loved everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! too bad they dont take small dogs
