Milaidhoo Island Maldives - Kamadhoo - Bedroom
1
9.6 Excellent (286 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Milaidhoo is a boutique luxury resort in the Baa Atoll UNESCO biosphere reserve, close to Hanifaru Bay, 126km north west of Male. Were perfect for nature lovers as our own coral reef, which encircles the island, is a protected area and noted as an outstanding snorkelling and diving site in its own right. Our tiny beautiful island, abundant with tropical greenery, measures just 300m by 180m and is fringed by soft deep white sand beaches.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The villas are beautiful and spacious. The buffet restaurant was thoughtfully designed with an enclosed air conditioned area for the food to keep the food fresh. Friendly staff Small peaceful island where you can really relax Delicious food served at all the restaurants
Cons: Nothing really
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The facilities were amazing - the nature inspired accommodation that looks the part on this remote island in the middle of the ocean, none of the glitzy Miami style buildings that other resorts have. It is only 2 years old, so everything looks just as on website pictures. Food was great at all the restaurants, extensive breakfast (with the huge choice of everything: be it freshly squeezed juices, cheese, fruit, eggs, sushi, desserts etc), same great quality for in villa dining. Fantastic service with your own Butler any time of the day. Massages and yoga at the spa were lovely, even managed to wake up once for early morning yoga session with great Indian yogi:) We stayed at the beach villa - loved having our own part of beach to dive in first thing in the morning. The anti mosquito stuff was done every day and was very effective, seen 2 mosquitoes only twice during our 11 days stay. We had difficulty to find any fault with this resort!
Cons: ... apart from one - resort airport lounge on arrival made us second guess our hotel choice, very disappointing. Therefore we were happy and relieved to see that it was not representative of the hotel.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Don’t usually write reviews, but this place really deserves a special recognition! Being a Platinum Starwoods and Hilton member it was a big deal to choose a (still) unknown local resort (2 years young) over the top established brands (St Regis, Four Seasons, Conrad, etc) in which I could’ve used points and get special benefits And we’re so glad we chose it. Far exceeded expectations and we came on honeymoon. The honeymoon package was amazing, it made our story in a small island unforgettable! Stayed on overwater vila with the most perfect sunset view! Spacious, nicely decorated, luxurious yet authentic! Infinity pool was heated at the perfect temperature. Direct access to the ocean water. Top amenities (6* star level). Photos are 100% genuine. Staff: well this was probably the most impressive dimension (avg ratio is 3 staff members for each individual guest). They really make you feel special, and will do everything to anticipate your wishes and exceed your expectations whatever they may be. Ashra, our personal butler was amazing - experienced, competent and sweet. Breakfast is impressive in variety and quality. Compliments to the executive chef Maximiliano! Snorkeling tours were totally worth it. Overall, if you can afford it, look no more. this is the place to stay in Maldives!
Cons: Ultra pricey food and even more wine, even considering the high quality and that everything needs to fly to the island. For Europeans it feels a bit exaggerated even if have you the money (>200$ per person for dinner)

Pros: Good value for money. House reef good for snorkeling. Food is good. Excellent service.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Although the date of our marriage certificate doesn’t fall within 6 months, the staff still gave us honeymoon benefit. Food in the main restaurant is great. Staff are all nice and helpful. This is an unforgettable trip.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful water villa with amazing snorkeling reef just steps away from your bed. Great dive center too!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The restaurants on the island are very basic and the food for breakfast, lunch and dinner was always cold apart from when something was cooked in front of you. The two smaller restaurants had NO character at all so seemed pointless using them. The food selection was OK.
Cons: Seaplane departure was delayed due to other passengers not arriving we were told only after asking. Bad start to holiday......, and we had to make another island stop, after paying more for the sea plane than it cost in Emirates to get to male from dubai frankly this is shocking and a complete rip off

9.5 Excellent
Pros: This resort is truley exceptional - the amazing seaplane trip delivered us at a this jewel of an island with aqua waters around white coral beaches, a fantastic resort with every room on the beach and wonderful staff. The beachfront family villas with pool are worth the (considerable) expense. We loved our personalised bicycles, among many other special little touches. The highlight was the manta ray snorkel trip - unforgettable.
Cons: The weather in early October wasn't great - very windy and a lot of rain, although still 29 degrees most days. But the resort is faultless and there was plenty to do when we weren't lazing by the beach or pool.

Pros: Love the place! Especially the amenities in our own villa! And since I'm a Spa person. I could say that the massage was nothing compare to other 5 star spas Ive tried all over Asia. the underwater restaurants serve many of the best wines in the globe and the food was also awesome! The staffs were very accommodating and super friendly! Definitely worth your money!
Cons: None. Love this place! I will definitely visit again soon!!!
7.5 Good
Pros: The design of the villa (both: beach villa and overwater villa) is so great! The staffs are friendly. The food is tasty.
Cons: The price is very high in general! And I didn’t like that you have to make two orders if you want to make a dinner by design on the beach (each order cost more that $300)! They could make a choice of ordering one or two orders for the couple.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a wonderful stay at Anantara Kihavah Villas. The island is beautiful, facilities are amazing, and staff is exceptional. We loved the over-water villa we stayed in, it was clean, comfortable, and had amazing views. The pool and bathroom for the over-water villas are particularly incredible. Every meal was fantastic, especially the view during lunch at the sea restaurant. Additionally the breakfast at the plates restaurant is hard to walk away from without being completely satisfied from the wealth of different food options. We want to especially recognize our villa host Alina for meeting our every need and making us feel very welcomed during our stay. All of the staff treated us extremely well: Peter the resort manager; Alisha at the SkyBar; Alex, Fairuz, Jazz, and Jenny from the various restaurants; the sommelier Arun; dive instructor Jergen; spa masseuses and attendents; and staff that prepared our villa each day. We apologize for any names we spelled incorrectly or for those we forgot, but the point is that for anyone deciding to stay here you will receive the kind of treatment that makes you wish you had written down everyone's name to thank them personally. And if you don't intend to simply relax on the beaches and eat well, there are so many great activities just at your fingertips from water sports to boxing if you desire. We also wanted to mention that for most people staying in the Maldives you must understand that it is an expensive trip, however the value for the money at this location is highly competitive. We would absolutely stay there again and highly recommend it as a bucket-list trip or multiple time stay if you are so fortunate.
Cons: We have little to complain about.

Pros: Taking a ride on the bicycle around the island was a memory to keep forever. The water sport club was very rich in activities, you must try the seabob! The Beach Vilas very very private and quiet and extremely clean.
Cons: The food in general was very expensive and not to the standards of the resort. I personally felt cheated with the prices because they aleays use “price ++” where everything became to expensive. Also the transport by seaplane was more expensive than flying internationally!!!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The place is magnificent in all details !! They create an environment that really makes you feel surrounded by family just like home and the staff do everything in order to give you a remarkable unique experience. Definitely will return very soon to Amilla. The place is outstanding !

Pros: Every thing
Cons: No thing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: the ocean lagoon villa was stunning
Cons: i've been to Maldives 5 times, this was the worst food i ever had there ... the menus are basic, the food is average at most and extremely overpriced (compared to other resorts, very low value for money) they charge more for the plane ride to the resort than other nearby resorts charge, this is really unfair
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is the Maldives, so it must be the location especially the villa we have booked has direct access to private beach. The size of the Villa and the bathroom within it. Cons: -) The food sometimes was undercooked [ numerous times the pasta was not boiled properly & the beef was not cooked as it should have been ] -) Potatoes were not boiled/cooked fully [ all three meals ]
8.0 Excellent
Pros: For the price we paid, this hotel was exceeding our expectation. What I like the most is the fact that you got a really nice spot for snorkling just at the back of your room, you don't need to use boat to go to other atoll/location.
Cons: The hotel room was a bit small (especially if you're travelling with children). And the TV can really get a new replacement :) Also nothing much to do after it get dark (well, nothing much that can involved kids...)

6.8 Good
Pros: The water around the island is some of the clearest! It also seems like you always have the beach to yourself.
Cons: I booked two rooms on the property including a water villa and spent close to $4500 on the property. There fact that a room gets only one bottle of water per day in a tropical humid climate when guests are spending thousands of dollars to stay there is just UNACCEPTABLE! If a guest wants more water, then it costs close $3.67 per bottle. How does it make sense to give just one bottle for an entire day in a room where two people stay in hot climate? If you are going to charge, why not just build it into the cost of the room instead of nickel and diming guests when they are already on the property and have no choice. When I expressed my disappointment to the hotel employee, he made no effort rectify it and just said it was policy. I have stayed in top tier properties all over the world and my experience here was disappointing to say the least. Will never come back here or never recommend to anyone I know.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This has been by far one of the most beautiful places we have ever visited. The island itself is as close to the nature as it takes and delivers on every promise that Maldives claim. We stayed in a water villa – and admired a postcard like views over the see and the atoll. The neighbouring reef is just breath-taking – easy to reach even for amateur snorkelers and children. A down to earth, relaxed atmosphere of the resort – no need for high heels and ironed shirts at dinners ; ). Food variety in the main restaurant was great and the chefs walked more than a mile extra to surprise guests with their menu (gorgonzola blue and baguettes on a “French evening” - quite abstract to think of it sitting 8000 km from Suisse et France and only 600 km from Equator..). We also dined in other resort restaurants and particularly enjoyed a grilled lobster and conversation on wines with the maitre’d at the Moodhu Bar. Great stay for families. The island is spacious and even in a high season it doesn’t feel crowded. It offers all kinds of services from diving to SPA - we have tried everything and never were disappointed. Staff is very professional, friendly, always happy to chat with us and kids and to make us feel at home. Special hello from our girls to Vani from the diving school (great service and know-how) for guiding them through PADI junior open water and opening doors for underwater discoveries. We had a wonderful time.
Cons: the rumour is the island is going to be closed for the next season and turned to yet antother très chic 5 star resort. this may be the last chance to see a paradise like island unspoiled, pristine and truly unforgetable.
5.8 Okay
Cons: housekeepers had very slowly responding
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The reef full of fishes, the life at the resort, beach, sport and relax, the staff vero friendly
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Highly recommended for stay&relax. Everything was perfect, amazing beach, friendly staff and always ready to help.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Initially, we came for 5day.. had to extend for few days more as it was that great ♡ Accommodation: Big thank you for all ladies at reception and guest relations for taking our wishes into account regarding the location of the villa! ♡ At first we stayed in water villa and .. I dont think there place and time to describe it. The space, the water , the waves, fish, stars at night.. wow Last few days we were staying at the beach bungalow and it also had its charm, so we didn't feel at all that we were "downgraded". Cozy room, outdoor bathroom, beach just few steps away.. Food and places to eat: We've taken breakfasts only so we can try other places too. We loved the 24h restaurant Mhoodi with amazing food, enjoyed the grill restaurant, main restaurant for buffet meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner- can choose any) with theme evenings.. Place : It's a paradise.. a place is big enough for a good walk and 5 different places to have meals and drinks, and small enough not to get lost. It's a barefoot island, so my 3 pairs of shoes that came with me were just a dead weight in my suitcase. There are no mosquitoes!! Yes, with this weather.. The weather was fantastic. Yes, sometimes a bit hotter than preferred, but coming from Dubai, this weather was really nice. Have a nice wind at the beach..And rain.. tropical warm rains in some afternoons. Amazing.. Bathrooms available throughout the island, so if you are out for a walk and nature calls- you can do all in civilised manner. Activities: We just went for snorkeling safari. Rented equipment and they've taken us to 2 different islands. Due to the weather it was a bit wavy and on the way back the storm hit us. What an adventure! This place will be closing next year. So if you are planning a Maldives trip- try this island.
Cons: I really hated..leaving And maybe the bathrooms could be equipped better (hose attached as in water villas) but not a big deal.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Management is very good you can see good management when talking to employees the have been there for Many years and all happy. Word is that management will change next year. Hopefully new management keeps up as good “big shoes to fill”!
Cons: That management will change soon :(
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Liked all the variety of food choices. Amazingly friendly staff, great team of people in each area of service. The stress free way of lining up an activity with dive shop or reception for sightseeing played a big part in getting a positive feeling about the resort and, of course, in enjoying the stay.
Cons: Tourists who did not follow rules.
7.5 Good
Pros: The see houses view, the beach & marine life.
Cons: The food standard was less than expected.the in house corals was les than expected. No internet in the rooms
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good value for money, but facilities are a bit tired already

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Manager, Martin is an excellent host and a very kind person. He made us feel very welcomed and took care of everything for us from start to finish. Lunch and dinner were served on the beach, offering a perfect view. My wife enjoyed the food very much, it was really tasty, fish was the main ingredient and for some this might be an inconvenience. The staff was kind and discreet. The entire holiday has been a very pleasant experience and would definitely come back.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was nice and clean. The stuff is friendly and helpful.Martin is a great host and he loves to say that "you don't need to keep anything into your heart.. if something needed-ask!" And if you do so, your stay here will be great!
Cons: The thing that the bikini beach is quite far from everything and it might be unpleasant experience especially if you are traveling alone.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Our stay at Madi Finolhu Guest House was such a nice and relaxing holiday at Maldives. The guest house is on a beautiful local island (Maalhos) were no touristy resorts destroy the corals and wildlife. The people at the village are all very friendly and helpful. We had a warm welcome (incl. pick up from the airport) and nice intro by Martin, owner of the guest house, about the Maldives and the local people. The room had a nice open shower which we really liked. The staff has been friendly and helpful throughout the whole stay. Lunch and dinner was always served on the beach which was really nice. The guest house also offers a bunch of activities, starting from snorkeling tour to night night fishing. Prices are more than okay if you compare it to the resort one. We made a lot of friends up there and will definitely come back! Thanks to all from Madi Finolhu Guest House.
Cons: We had new rooms, maybe a TV would be nice but we didn’t need it because we didn’t spend much time at the room;-)
9.5 Excellent
Pros: At Madi Finolhu you feel welcome from the first minute you arrive. The owner and the staff are very friendly and supportive. Rooms are air conditioned and cleaned every day. Food varies from day to day and we loved the local dishes. Hotel is directly at the beach, it is a paradise. Recommend to everyone who wants to experience Maldivian life, culture and nature.

Pros: The staff was great, especially Mr Martin! They really care of guests so this place worth for people who work there
Cons: i've been several times in maldives so maybe this island has not the best seaside or beach, but you can reach other places easily with day trip so don't give up!

Pros: The property is really nice and the staff super friendly and helpful.
Cons: It´s a vacation place for Italian people. I was the only not Italian speaking person in the hotel. Don´t come here if you are not Italian.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The food at the dinner and lunch was excellent and was beyond our expectations-the chef was always present and was giving us cooking recipes if asked. The staff was superfriendly, helpful-just perfect as a team!
Cons: That we could not stay longer!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staffs treat u like a 5-star hotel with local styles. The food were all tasty (we bought full board option). Room was modern and clean. It is not far from domestic airport. The owner tried his best to bring us visiting hanifaru bay but we got no luck. Be sure to come during full moon where manta usuall show up. Totally, recommend this place for those who are looking for a budget hotel in maldives with good food & great service staff. The island is quite calm and good for relax ;)
Cons: The room isn't sound-proof. It could be a bit noisy when your neighbor wakes up. but it doesn't bother us as much. Because during 22.00-07.00 is pretty much quite.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: the food and the kitchen crew were delightful and very accommodating.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect. -Great staff, very attentive and always there to help -Very good chef who cooked a variety of food -Every friday evening they prepare dinner on the beach, with candle lights and a buffet -We forgot our snorkeling mask and shoes, however they gave it to us for free -Very nice excursions at a very reasonable price(picnic on other islands, fishing, snorkelling) -The excursions are not mandatory, only if you want to have a different experience with the beaches around Dharavandhoo -You can ask for excursions to resort islands (this was 150$ for two persons with lunch included and speed boat from-to resort) -In one of the days they organised a dinner on the beach because it was my boyfriends birthday at no extra charge. They even prepared a small birthday cake for him Visham is an amazing host. He provides all the details that you need. He is very responsive and always there when you need something. We could not have asked for more! This excedeed our expectations!
Cons: I cannot add anything here.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellenct location, 1km bikini beach right in front of the resort, friendly and informative staffs, super clean room. Love it!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is conveniently located just a few meters from the seaside, with a nice, shady land strip, separating the hotel from a wonderful sandy beach. The beach resembles the one from a bounty paradize image: palm trees bound over the turquoise water, endless horizon and gentle waves. For those guests who love quiet promenades, there is a long walk along the beach passing the beautiful jungle forest. On the other side, there is a small village with friendly locals, cozy streets, clean and colorful - rendering opportunity for local life exploration. It is very safe to ramble around the village even at night. The delicious food at the hotel was cooked by a masterful chef, who managed to surprise us every day with a new meal, which was fabulous and quite varied. Sometimes the food was a bit spicy, but even our kids, 6, 10 and 14 years old were delighted. The staff was very friendly and helping in any need. And the separate warm words must be said about our hosts - the brothers who run the hotel. We communicated with three of them. Visham was in touch during our trip planning phase, answering all our emails in a polite and prompt order. Another brother, Isham, met us at the Male airport, helped us to get registered for the flight to Dharavandhoo. He was also present later as the hotel admin during the last days of our stay and was all of the help for us in any needs. And the third brother, Lisham, met us at the hotel just as we arrived from Male. He made all efforts to arrange a snorkeling trip to the Hanifaru Bay to swim with beautiful manta rays. All brother are very friendly and ready to help to make the stay as comfortable as possible. We would definitely come again as the opportunity permits.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Meals and personnel were super. Good local riff for snorkeling. Enough sunbeds and well kept garden. The hotel has a boat, and boat trips are really recommended, they were a highlight, and quite affordable. Plenty of bottled water free of charge. A kettle in the room.
Cons: No windows in the room! It has glass doors but they face the internal passage and the doors of opposite rooms (and is graded superior, btw)! Lamps inside just don't give enough light, so only beach view rooms are to be recommended. The furniture and walls are worn out (actually all wooden parts require some renewal). Smell in the shower place. Some of the sunbeds on the beach are broken or worn out. Not as a minus to the hotel itself, but to be considered: we were unlucky with weather, strong winds all week long, and though the beach is sandy, the corals are quite close (no place with sand under the water along the whole beach!), so going into the water and out was sometimes complicated because of the stones under the water. Of course, coral shoes are a must, but they don't cover one's knees or hands...
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Super warm people , totally recommended

Pros: The staff were very friendly and attentive the rooms were really clean and more over the view from our villa was spectacular.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing! Everything was incredible from the fine dining each night, a sparkling clean room twice a day, our butler Nooman who was so ever kind and caring towards us and there for us at any stage if need be. The diving off our back door step and into the reef each day was sensational. I am speechless. It was the best honeymoon we could have ever asked for! The all inclusive package is so worth it!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: the water villas are great , quite clean and all inclusive made it a good deal.
Cons: 1. To take the sea plane to this resort we jade to wait for 6 hours which means we wasted one day 2. We thought of extending our stay by one day however the reception informed us after our booking that the sea plane can’t come early morning. Thankfully our tickets were not rebooked. 3. Found the staff a bit rude , but our butler was very good.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Just go in the to water and you can enjoy marine life!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely water villas on a beautiful island. The staff looked after us perfectly, having a ‘personal butler’ might just be the way forward! We will definitely be back!
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our private Butler, Chandon, was excellent. We can't praise him enough for helping to make our honeymoon so very special. Also the food in the fine dining restaurant was delicious and something different every day. The water villas themselves were incredible.
Cons: It's very hard to find things not to like here
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Comfort and staff very kind
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The Water Villa area is breathtakingly beautiful! The Water Villa's themselves are small, but cosy and romantic with a perfect view of the ocean and a hot tub on the deck which is private. The Water Villa Restaurant staff were extremely pleasant and friendly, catering to all our needs. Compliments to the chef as the meals each evening were to die for with different choices each evening. Limited seating outside the restaurant with stunning views of the ocean and we even saw beach sharks swimming nearby with plenty of other marine life which was incredible to watch (get there early for a seat because the whole island are able to use the restaurant so it can get busy with long waiting times)..... Despite the very bad weather (it rained constantly for 3 out of the 5 days we were there), the staff were extremely accommodating and helpful - in particular our personal butler Hamdu went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable and provided in-room service (for an extra charge) on a couple of occasions when the heavy rain came! During the day, as it was raining most of the time, we booked several treatments at the Chavana Spa, costly but worth it! The staff are extremely friendly and the scenery walking through the gardens to the Spa is an experience with plenty of birds, bats and even chickens wandering about!
Cons: Sadly as it rained, we were unable to fully experience the pool or the beach. The limited time we did, we found that unfortunately there were no washroom/changing facilities near the Water Villa Pool, meaning you had to go back to your room; although this is a small issue it would have been more convenient to have some form of changing/washing facility near to the Water Villa Pool. There was no "attendant" meaning again, you had to go each time to the Water Villa Restaurant for drinks when sitting at the pool area - whereas we noticed that in the rest of the Island there was a bar/changing facility near by. However, as we were staying at the Water Villa Private Area this would have been a nice to have also. The main thing we didn't like was that despite it being a private area for Water Villa Residents, anyone from another part of the Island were able to dine at the restaurant which thus limited availability for those of us residing at the Water Villa's themselves having paid substantially more - the restaurant and facilities in the Private Water Villa area should be restricted to those staying in the Water Villa's only. We also noticed several guests from the rest of the Island also using the Pool/Beach area and there seemed to be no one checking this which seemed unfair as again it restricted availability. The "sunset photo cruise" was part of our premium package and i have to say, it was extremely disappointing. The attendants did not speak English and simply sailed straight out towards the next island, with no atmosphere on the boat, or refreshments. Ideally there should be some form of atmosphere and certainly a drink included at least to make it more memorable. We had to say to the driver, turn around and go back because it was so boring - despite the sun setting, he kept sailing straight.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were fantastic, especially our butler Humullah. The food in the water villas restaurant was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our visits to the spa and would recommend the Balinese massage in particular. Our water villa was just perfect. Waking up to the view every morning was magical and being able to snorkel with so many tropical off our own deck was amazing.
Cons: The night entertainment in the main bar was very poor. Also, the bar service by the water villas was poor - some days we wouldn’t see a waiter at all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The island was amazing. The staff are so lovely and welcoming. The villa was incredible and they had a cake and champagne waiting for us when we got there.
Cons: The sea plane was a 3 hour wait when we first landed, which when you are starting your honeymoon isn't ideal. But I guess they need to fill the plane and we were the first to arrive.

Pros: A comfortable and clean hotel. Very friendly and helpful owners, I want to thank them personally. They created a family atmospere for us. Very good breafasts which were a mix of local and international cuisine. Very good dinners at quite a resonable price. Close to the beach (about 12-15 minutes walk), hotel sofas on the beach.
Cons: We liked everything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had the most amazing 5 days on this beautiful island and were so sad to leave. The owner is absolutely brilliant and so helpful. We went solely to see the manta rays and every day he would tell us how many mantas have been spotted so we can decide whether to go. He also sorted out our transport to and from the island and met us as soon as we got to the island. The two boys who cook and clean are also fantastic offering 5* service. The breakfast is delicious and so much food! (pancakes, Maldivian options, toast, juice and tea) and we chose to eat here every night which was high quality and great value for money. With every meal we got poppadoms and fruit salad dessert included. Free tea and drinking water all day too which is a plus! On our manta trip we saw between 30-40 mantas (make sure you go near a full moon to see the most!) the trip was incredible, everything we hoped for. We also went on a snorkelling tour through the guesthouse which I highly recommend. We saw 3 turtles and a few reef sharks. The snorkelling guide was really good at spotting things out and never left us. He also was happy to take photos and films on our go pro. Dharavandhoo is really small but cosy, the bikini beach is beautiful and there is sun loungers for all. We spotted dolphins from the beach so keep an eye out! The rooms were really great, so big and comfortable. Lots of storage options. Beach towels were also included. We were there in rainy season (June) and had 2 out of 6 full days of bad rain but didn't mind as the WiFi is super fast! Thank you for an amazing stay, we hope to come back again!!

Pros: Ahmed and his staff were Very friendly and helpful..
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Ahmed is very kind and helpful. Arrange our transportations and activities. We appreciate that Ahmed made our trip going smoothly. The foods are great, room was neat and clean, this is a lovely house we are definitely coming back.
Cons: Nothing to complain.
6.8 Good
Pros: Extremely clean, good breakfast, comfy bed. Looks quite new. Nicely decorated. Free shower gel and water in the room.
Cons: The young tall man from their personnel asked me for a selfie during breakfast, I agreed and was sexually harrassed: he grabbed me, put his arm around my neck, cheek to cheek. I traveled solo. I was shocked and left. When I told the owner, he answered that the guy from the staff told him I asked for a selfie. Dirty liar. Check your video cameras(( The owner reminded in the morning that my check out was at 12. Well, OK. I went to the beach. When I was taking a shower at 11:30, they started to knock and literally kick me out asap coz their other guests were on the way and they had no time to clean the room. Why did not he explain it at breakfast? They should have asked politely that they have no time to clean. Not last minute! The attitude was as if they did a favor letting me stay till 12! Well, I paid till 12 usual check out time for your reference!

Pros: Everything was perfec!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Incredible staff, great food and a very cozy guesthouse.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Amazing host, we stayed only one night still were treated like Kings :) Airport pickup super dinner an very very friendly welcome. If I knew how good it is we would have stayed more on the island and let our host arrange everything. Important tip for all that want to visit the Maldives on a budget, book this accommodation and ask the host to arrange domestic flight, boat transport and all trips. This will save you a lot of money and will make the stay much more pleasant :))
Cons: Value for money is perfect, don't expect 5 star hotel for this price.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Living amongst the local island community. The food, friendly and helpful owner and staff. Short walk to the beach, access to Hanifaru Bay for seeing Mantas. Comfortable rooms. Airport a few minutes walk from the guesthouse.
Cons: Can’t think of anything.

Pros: The staff were really friendly and willing to help. The Capers restaurant has a variety of food which was delicious and from different cuisine. They have a unique application that you can track the buggy before you go out. The gym is amazing. The villas design is modern and brand new. The private pool is very nice. The receptionist Hassan was always in touch with us whenever we wanted any help. He is really friendly.
Cons: The next-door villa window right overlooked the private pool and made us uncomfortable while swimming, but no one has appeared from the window.
6.3 Good
Pros: Staff were warmly hosting us, they are well trained on how to treat guests, they were so kind. Food was Good. Room was well equipped and greatly arranged for our ocasion. The minibar was always full and we never had to call for a refill.
Cons: We paid a lot for privacy, but unfortunately anyone who walks by can see us clearly. The hotel should provide a buggy for Lagoon Villas as they are located far away from the breakfast area and sometimes it takes so long for a buggy to pass by. The SPA was not professional at what they do, although it was overpriced.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Like the beach, friendly staff, size and location of the room, food variety and tasty. Margarita was very helpful, special thanks for Hali bar and Faru restaurant staff.
Cons: Very High price of alcohol drinks but understandable as it’s country where alcohol is restricted. Should be paid more attention on cleaning of the bathroom/ toilet. Should be respected usage timing on the pool, staff should not hesitate and remind guests to leave the pool at 6pm as per hotel rules, this in order for other guests can enjoy in bar before dinner.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: - The staff is absolutely wonderful! - The quality of the food is fantastic - especially Battuta restaurant! But truly in all the restaurants and even the buffet dining had incredibly high quality of food. - The drinks!! - The location and beaches are fabulous! Watch the sunset at Haali Bar and the reef sharks feasting on fish right at the shore - quite a sight to behold and not one you can get bored of! - Get the all-inclusive option - it was totally worth it.
Cons: - This isn't the hotel's fault, but Trans Maldivian Airways suck! Flights are consistently late and schedule changes without notice. We had to wait for over 3 hours after arriving into Male to get the flight to the hotel, and then one of our suitcases didn't arrive until a few hours later, without warning. On the way back, they scheduled the flight with little buffer for us, and the flight was delayed. We hardly had enough time at the airport in Male to get to our main flight. You have zero control of the process; we would have preferred to leave at least 1 hour earlier from the hotel, to have less stress at the airport in Male, which is quite chaotic. - The restaurants at the hotel (Faru and Battuta) have to be reserved ahead of time. Upon arrival, we were informed that the hotel is completely full and restaurants are also mostly full for the first 5 nights of our stay. We were given reservations for a couple of the nights for 9pm, which was far from ideal for us with 2 children. This experience in itself was quite unpleasant, but in walking past one of the restaurants at 7pm one night and seeing it close to empty, we decided to ask if we can get a table. The staff were more than happy to accommodate us, and told us we can come any night, and earlier than 9pm if we want. So what's the point of the reservations system?! It just seems that they want to push more people towards the buffet dinner at Caper's so that Faru and Battuta are not the standard dinner options for most guests - even though all restaurants are included in the all-inclusive option. - The plumbing is not great. The toilet in the kids room got clogged, although the problem was swiftly addressed (and fixed). The toilet in our room would spit water out (at random) every so often, although luckily never at us. And the temperature of the water in the showers is not really possible to control. The water is permanently either too hot or too cold, and switching between the two extremes.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The food was amazing, the staff so lovely and the reef was truely beautiful. We had dolphins swim past our water villa, snorkelled with turtles and reef sharks and watched the most magical sunrises and sunsets. The all inclusive package is worth it for the value, as island prices are quite expensive, like all Maldivian resorts. I 100% recommend this resort, you won’t be disappointment.
Cons: The bed was a little hard and there was not much in terms of entertainment. In the 1 week we were there, we had music in the East bar on our last night.
5.0 Okay
Pros: There are quite a lot of fishes around and the beach is nice with soft white sand.
Cons: If this hotel can be rated as 5 stars in Maldives, I will reconsider the quality of all 5 starts resorts in Maldives: 1. facility is not in good maintenance: The resort is actually relative new (open mid 2017), however, it looks like it is already be there for more than 5 years or more. The 'water villa with pool' is not spacious as shown on the pic. It is more than 100 squ. meter, but it is included the deck and pool. Therefore, the total room size is no more than 50. 2. limited choice of food: there are 4 or 5 restaurants on the island, but none of them offer high level meals. for breakfast, there is no hot cocked meal on the card, only buffet with limited choice. Lunch is ok, but the same, list is short. For full-board and half-board customer, only buffet is included for dinner. What's more, all the drink is not included, even water. 3. Staff: staff is ok. I notice that most of the staff just join this resort about 2-3 months, therefore, they actually cannot give much suggestion and recommendation. 4. Price: The price difference between the room type is dramatic. The water villa with pool is twice the price as water villa without pool. (I can tell you it is not worth another 600-800 dollars for a pool). 5. island: this island is medium size in Maldives, and the surrounded coral and fishes are great. it is good place for snorkeling. However, there are altogether more than 280 rooms, which makes the island a little bit crowded with those houses. Luckily, we did not stay during high season, otherwise, it would be very noisy. overall, it is not a pleasant holiday destination in Maldives if you are looking for a luxury holiday or quiet and private place.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This is really a perfect island. Perfect environment, perfect service There are two Chinese girls at the front desk. There are also Chinese waiters in the restaurant. The water house environment is very good, all the facilities are new, sharks are often seen near the stairs, and the type is nurse shark. Not aggressive. On the first day of the island, I saw the dolphins swimming in the distance. The hotel has a wide variety of breakfasts, more dinners and different themes every day. There are doctors on the island, and the body is uncomfortable and will be treated free of charge.
Cons: This is perfect island, no defect
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Room, service, view, spa
Cons: *Noise from sea plane station, it was close to the room. *Food was not great. *Not much complimentary activities. The gift shop has literally no basic stuff for daily use, and it is the only shop on island, there is no option to go to nearest islands to shop (unless the traviler pays 75$ for local islands hopping or 300$ for private boat).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the staff, the cleanliness & the facilities.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great view of the water villa and nice food. Chai who take care of us is good!
Cons: kid club need improvement. not interesting activities during the past 2times visit. Workers there not very professional on kid activity. Waiter in restaurant is not nice. Maybe they are nice for while people. If these could be improved I think I will visit there the third time

Pros: We had the most beautiful days in Blue World! Since the moment we booked, they helped us a lot with loads of information regarding the island, the flights etc. The place was very beautiful, they have a nice yard where we used to chill in the nights. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We got the full board package and the food was always more than enough. Very friendly staff, always willing to help us and make us feeling super comfortable. We definitely reccomend this either to couples, families or friends! Thank you for the amazing experience Blue World!

Pros: The staff are exceptional. Appi, Faisal, Shereef, and the three who cleaned the room, prepared our food and assisted on the snorkeling tours. They took care of our requests and assisted in every way they could to make our stay memorable. Always willing to find a solution to any requests you may have. Thank you all for a wonderful vacation. We saw mantas but left one day too early for the whale shark sighting.
Cons: Dinner was served too late for us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Blue World Dharavandhoo has been one of the best experiences of my life. From the moment my wife and I walked in we could feel a great sense of positive energy in the place. The chef welcomed us with fresh coconut drinks and cooked incredible meals throughout our stay. The staff are not really staff, they became family to us. Jim has been super helpful before we even reached Maldives. He helped us with everything we needed. Also we had the best diving teacher ever. As we have never really went scuba diving before, he explained to us more than we needed and took his time with us and we have had the most extravagant memorable experience of our life scuba diving. The manager was honest, genuine and considerate of your budget. The room and environment were super clean. The room was spacious and provided us with everything we needed and more. The WiFi connection was great. I got to experience fishing, dolphin watching, snorkeling, chilling in a sand bank, and we got our SSI scuba diving certification. All of this was for a super reasonable price especially for the Maldives. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Especially if you want to experience being part of a foreign family and blending with locals.
Cons: That I only stayed for 6 nights

Pros: The dinner has a theme for every day in a week which is awesome.
Cons: There are some Chinese translations about food which actually do not make sense. I've made several notes as: the pancake should be "煎饼"; prune should be "西梅果脯"; boiled eggs should be "白水煮蛋"; waffles should be "华夫饼"; Chinese Congee should be "蔬菜粥"; and Hash Brown Potato should be "炸马铃薯饼". If translation on Chinese versions are needed, you can send email to me. I am a licensed translator.

Pros: I stayed in beach vila and in water vila both was an amazing experience and nice staff and wonderfull food in resturant with a lot of activity Amazing for honeymoon

Pros: Everything!
6.3 Good
Cons: Be aware that the location can only be reached by seaplane and our return flight from the resort to male airport was brought earlier due to weather. We end up having to wait for a long time at the Male airport for our flight home. Staff except one or two (Ogar and Velue) are generally not well trained and not friendly. On our last day, we were walking in the rain from the breakfast place to our villa and along the way we saw a buggy with empty seat fetching guests. We tried hail down the buggy but the staff who was driving didn't even stop or look at us.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful island with friendly staff
Cons: Travel from Male to island was brilliant by sea plane BUT Arrival our luggage arrived 5 hours after us to the island Departure we was picked up from the island and arrived in Male 3 hours before our check in .

Pros: great breakfast, lots of variety. (try the Maldivian curries). the overwater villa was exceptional. we also tried the garden villa and beach villa. the overwater villas are made better with more polished finishes and better bathrooms and toiletries but all acomodation is good. The snorkelling is exceptional. (the best we have ever experienced) with turtles, rays, sharks, moray eels and thousands of colourful fish. The beaches are fabulous. its a barefoot island, happy hours are good between 5:00-7:00pm daily, 20% off all drinks at all bars. food is good. and yes, the water is that beautiful shade of blue and the sand is white and it really is truely beautiful .
4.3 Okay
Pros: Beaches & Sport Activites
Cons: I don’t like the way they schedule our transportation for both arrival and departure. First I book the domestic transportation (336$ per person) because it is less than the seaplane! The resorts asked me to provide the arrival and departure details to provide us with the transportation. when we arrived (9:30 Am) we were shocked that they schedule our internal flight at 12 Pm!!! and when I checked the board they were another flight available earlier than this but NO! They just keep us waiting there! and when it come the boat it took more than 1:30 hours but they mentioned its only (45mins)! I think the resort did all that in purpose just to make sure that we arrived at 2pm (which is the check in time). Facing all that I spoke with, ALI (the guy who welcome us) and I told him if it there is any other option we can take to make the departure much easier than the arrival. He (ALI) immediately ask me to pay extra money and took the seaplane (107$ Per person) so I agree with him and book the seaplane. OUR DEPARTURE FLIGHT IS 12PM !!!! they make us do the check out by 6:15AM!!!! WHY? because there is no flight until 4:30 pm. why did no one in the receptions bother to inform us with this. I found this out when I WENT BY MYSELFT to ask about the flight and they said we can’t do anything about it. moreover, after we are already in the reception the time past and it is 7:20! then again no one bother to come and talk with us so I went and I ask what time we suppose to leave you mentioned that the seaplane will departure by 7:15 and now it is 7:20 then the lady said oh the plane is delay!!!!!! I REALLY HATE HOW THEY TREAT US!! SO UNPROFITIONAL AND THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT THE MONEY!!!

Pros: We stayed a total of 7 nights in varied accomodation. We stayed in garden villa, beach villa and overwater villa. All were excellent with the overwater villa being the most luxurious of course. We were blown away with the beautiful blue water and the snorkelling was the best we had ever done anywhere in the world. We swam with turtles, Spotted eagle rays, bat black tip sharks, Moray eels, nemo and numerous coloured fish of amazing variety and quantity. All on the house reef. We found the staff very friendly and the food delicious. We enjoyed the daily Happy Hours between 5:00-7:00pm which was 20% off all drinks. We did not do all inclusive and were happy with that, we could not have eaten and drunk enough to justify all inclusive. The whole resort is new and so pretty throughout. The resort was on the quiet side being off season. The weather was sunny and glorious for 6 days out of 8. We did return sea plane transfer which is the way to go. We loved every minute of our stay. Wished we had stayed longer.

Pros: Breakfast was decent, location was beautiful, everywhere you turn looks like the front of a postcard, it's definitely worth it if you can afford it and if you can hack a long flight or two. I'd also spring for all-inclusive if I was you
Cons: Not applicable

Pros: Great service
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed our stay thanks to the sun, sea and sand, but above all - thanks to the great kind-hearted people that surrounded us and helped us in every way possible. We would like to thank all the good smiling people personally and ask the management to encourage them and bonus them if possible. They are Reethi Faru's greates asset. Here are the names of the RF people we are very specially thankful to: Reethi grill: Mano/Riaz/Anoof/Jane, Sumesh (kitchen chef), Santosh Dhiyavaru: Sajib/Naish Room service: Kawsar Nala bar: Vivek/Shijo We are also thankful to the guy who helped us clean the room - he was the same for two weeks, I dont know his name and the two guys at the boat station (the bearded one and the tall basketball guy). Thank you All!
Cons: Between 12:00 and 16:00 you have to stay indoors Too hot Too bright sand
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very helpful and nice . The feeling of beach wilderness was really wonderful, particularly for the beach villas. It's a very quiet place to stay. Beach villas are great for the extra space and your own private space on the beach, together with some shade.
Cons: Snorkeling and diving zones were not really obvious, it would be useful to ask before booking or before coming to the resort.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: It was our second time visiting Furaveri in an Overwater Villa, so obviously we like the resort enough to return. We were greeted with a complementary bottle of sparkling wine and a decorated Villa saying "Welcome Back", which was a nice, personalized touch. The beaches are beautiful, the water inviting, the staff very friendly and helpful, and the facilities comfortable and modern. The main restaurant has a different food theme every evening for dinner, ranging from local Maldivian food on one evening to a barbeque cookout another evening. The bar is well stocked and the bartenders were good at preparing tasty cocktails. Overall it is a nice resort and we enjoyed our stay very much. We toured the other rooms and decided next time, a pool beach villa will likely be our next room.
Cons: The air conditioning in the room was hard to regulate, noisy, and was often inadequate. The mattresses are firm, so if you like a soft mattress (like me), you might find sleeping difficult. The fitness center is small and poorly equipped. Nobody was staffed there. We walked along the beach daily and sometimes saw garbage (a sad statement of our world, unfortunately), especially plastic bottles and disposable diapers (ugh!) washed onshore. Not too much garbage, but still noticeable. It's not the fault of the resort, but perhaps more frequent garbage patrols would help keep the beaches pristine. If you don't get the all-inclusive package and fancy a cocktail or bottle of wine, expect to spend a lot of money (in addition to what you already spent). We had the breakfast-dinner option and spent over $150 a day for a couple. Additionally, the fruit in the main restaurant was lacking in variety and typically unripe and not very tasty. Like any tropical destination there are insects. The mosquitoes were very hungry, so make sure you bring bug-repellent. Ants like anything tasty. Not much the facility can do, but just a advisory to the uninitiated.

Pros: It comes as a standard in these resorts to have great facilities; food; locations and activities. What made this place a piece of heaven is the staff. Amazing team from the time you land to the time you engage with instructors; waiting staff; cleaning staff and even entertainers. You get a friendly and welcome smile and help everywhere you go.
