Pros: We went here for two nights as part of our honeymoon and boy did they spoil us!! They gave us welcome chocolates fruit wine and then made up our bed with kissing elephants and our bath with flowers. It was beautiful!! Everyone was amazing .
Cons: Everything ! The fact that they really spoiled us for our honeymoon was amazing!
Pros: The breakfast was amazing along with the customer service!! The staff were very attentive, helpful, and welcoming. Would definitely go back!
Pros: The security lady at the 1st floor entrance was so kind, truly felt welcomed. The hotel's pool and pool side service is excellent. The staff brings sunscreen, insect repellent, icy water, a few slices of melon and towels as soon as you get to the pool. The location is also decent and the hotel staff at the 2nd floor main entrance did an excellent job of getting us transportation and directing the drivers to the right places.
Cons: The condo next door is being constructed, so we had to bear a constant construction noise at the pool side, but it is not the hotel's fault. The room is not as clean as I would like. The carpet is a bit old and is stained. The room air condition fan noise is loud even at the lowest fan speed setting. The most of the hotel staff did an excellent job of providing good service, but noticed the land of thousand smiles is no where to be found with a few staff.
Cons: Upon check-in we were pushed to upgrade so we could have breakfast included. I've traveled all over Asia and haven't had to pay extra nonetheless made me feel like I was a peasant. The service was average. Tried to fill up the tub for my other half and there were pubic hairs floating around. The room was also cleaned better based on how much tip I left. I had great experiences at other Shangri-La hotels but this wasn't one of them.

Pros: Loved the hotel's landscaping and the deign of the facility. I've never seen a landscaping crew work as hard, and their efforts showed. Liked the pool a lot as well.
Cons: The staff's professionalism can really be improved. They weren't rude but They need to work on the little things. My wife asked the front desk for a list of the costs associated with the hotel's laundry service. The guy at the front desk says "it's found in the closet near the tv" (which it wasn't). This is supposed to be a five star hotel. Other places would apologize and quickly go find a list for their guests, instead of fault the blame on their guests.
Additionally, there is no hair conditioner in the hotel's bathroom. I understand that some may not require this, but I'd be willing to bet a good portion of the hotel's guests do. You have to personally request conditioner from the hotel's maid service. Weird.
And finally, their drink pool service has a lot to improve upon. I had to go to the hotel's other bar on the other side of the hotel to get drinks by the pool. On the last day of my stay, the hotel staff told me I could call that bar and they would deliver drinks over to the pool, but when I called, no one answered.

Pros: The Chedi Chiang Mai was very tranquil with beautiful architecture and excellent personal service from the staff. The club suite rooms are stunning and very well equipped. We intend to return.
Cons: The club suite room was a little noisy due to its closeness to the road. However this should not put anyone off making a booking since everything else was excellent.
Pros: Great location, very friendly staff, nice and modern design, quiet and pleasant atmosphere
Cons: Food in the restaurant is to expensive, no internet corner, just two laptops for all guest is to little, none offer for facilities around chang rai,
Pros: the professionalism of the staff and the fact that they understood everything first time .... very very good.
Cons: only thing can think of is the aircon in the roojm probably needs rethinking.
Pros: I have never stayed in a hotel that was that organized in every respect. I used to work as a consultant for hotels in my younger days, and this hotel can be used as an example of the "state of the art". Please note that I am quite critical but in this case it is difficult to identify "room for improvements".Leif
Cons: Prices for laundry much exceeds for which you can buy new clothes.
Pros: The service, luxury and location were all as expected. The hotel is not new but is well maintained. The limited number of rooms made for an uncrowded peaceful stay
Pros: I love how much attention to detail was takened in designing and running the hotel. The place actually looks as good as you see it in pictures. The location is excellent - along the Mae Ping River (giving it an added relaxing feel), yet right beside the night bazaar.
Cons: The overall service level was very good. However, the night manager was less than competent at addressing some minor complaints.
Pros: Excellent service, staffs are always helpful. Very nice hotel with great food!
Pros: spa, Rooms, Hotel Design, pool, Location not too far , tuk tuk anywhere for 30-40 THB from hotel
Cons: Room keys, too quiet and empty
Pros: i liked the staff and the service, the location is convenient and the wood work is fantastic.
Pros: Just amazing .. And every thing near by

Pros: Location was great, busy during the day quiet at night. Pool was nice
Cons: The rooms were really small for what we paid, breakfast was poor and not up to its reviews and raves. Service was ok - some people were fantastic while the others where somewhat rude.wish there were more lounge chairs by the pool... The soaps were weird and they make such a big deal about it . They didn't really replenish it. They left our room service outside of our room for more than two days.

Pros: Excellent service, good location, great rooms (spacious, clean). Spa is excellent as well.

Pros: Incredible service, very good food, great location in Old Town and the rooms were nice and spacious.
It was quiet and far away enough from the bars to be quiet but close enough that the Old Town bars are only an 8 minute tuk tuk ride away.
Cons: Nothing to not like.
Pros: The lobby is an immediate breath of fresh air - it smells so amazing with all the oils and things for sale.
The desk staff is nice and the valet was wonderful - we used his help all the time, getting taxis.
The rooms are beautiful and have gorgeous boutique finishes and hardware.
The breakfast buffet was awesome!
Cons: The hotel feels like it's on the outskirts of the city. It's a decent taxi ride to get to the main areas.
The pool was freezing cold and in the shade all day - it's not the kind of pool where you get a tan or have a view.
The river is not a pretty attraction.
The mattress is rock hard - some people may like that, though!

You can relax with a drink at the bar/lounge, and the 2 restaurants are nice spots to grab a bite to eat. Rooms at this upscale hotel offer up nice touches like comfy beds and bathrobes, along with LCD TVs and refrigerators.
Pros: This is in excellent Hotel, the staff is painfully polite and the services were great. The food at the hotel restaurant was excellent
Cons: The shower was a bit funky. It was a huge step up to get into the shower. For some reason the shower is separated by the rest of the room by glass walls, making it viewable from any point in the room. Even more oddly, the privacy for the shower is a set of horizontal blinds located on the outside of the shower. Meaning, someone in the room can walk up and open the blinds and see you using the shower or bathroom. Not that this would happen, but I find that to be very odd, and I've never seen that in my entire life.
Pros: Just one minute walk from the night market.
Pros: the complimentary beverage when checking in.
Cons: the photos online are cherry picks. the hotel is generic, loud (lots of noise transmission between rooms), water temperature fluctuates an unsafe amount, staff smiles but is unaccomodating.
Much better options in this city.
