Not much. It is too expensive for the area. Nicer hotels in Kisoro cost less.
They offer to book online but the staff does not know anything about the booking. It took some time to prove that I had paid online already. The bathroom was filthy and really needs some renovation. The breakfast contains 2 slices of bread with a boiled egg and a Nescafe.
Reasonable rates, great quiet location just off the main road.
I normally do not book hotels which has no reviews but this in this case I did and wish I had not! Upon my arrival the receptionist was laying on the sofa in the lobby watching loud TV on her laptop. She did not speak a word of English so it was very difficult to communicate with her. No WI-FI in the hotel, very old and dirty hotel, the sink was leaking in the bathroom so the floor was wet, uncomfortable bed and pillows, no fridge or safe box in the room. The pillow cases were too small for the pillows, the curtains in the room were too long so hanging on the floor. The toilet flush was broken, no hangers in the closet and one side of the closet was locked. Noisy neighbours outside the hotel, noisy staff in the lobby, small old TV with no international channels, the shower was broken and could not be used and no hot water because there wa sno power. The bed mosquito net had holes, the hotel has a bar which was noisy with locals who did not stay at the hotel. Loud TV in the lobby area (staff watching it). I was the only guest in the hotel so the staff locked all the doors and main gate and put a padlock on the main door and left for th enight! The power was out for 15 hours!!!! At 11:00 PM I went to the lobby to ask the staff to fix the banging metal gate outside my room. The staff members were 2 young girls (not very comforting) and they were both sleeping on the sofas so I had to wake yhem up. They were unable to fix the banging gate because there was no power and it was so dark outside to see the gate. However, they told me they had fixed it. When I went back to my room I realized the gate had not been fixed so when I returned to the lobby at 11:30 PM the staff members had left and I was all by myself in the hotel. No security guard, no guests, no staff, nobod. All the windows, gates and doors had bars on and there was a big pad lock on the main door so I was basically locked inside the hotel all by myself and there was no power. The staff arrived at 6:15 AM.
